Looks lovely and is very equipped and more than you would want to see, however it’s very expensive. We used to visit a lot before the renovation, but now it’s turning out like most garden centre in the area and becoming a franchise with high costs. We had lunch in the cafe and was very average.

Met a friend with our two babies at the cafe here yesterday. Lovely coffee, but prices quite high, service good - a lovely bunch of ladies - but very slow. Desperately need another till as the queues got very long due to how much time it took to put each order through. Also an additional barista would make things a lot faster too. We didn’t eat, only had a couple of drinks (mostly due to the cost of the cakes/pastries/sandwiches etc.) so decided to eat what I had at home. Lovely weigh and pay area in the shop to help limit packaging, though again expensive. Particularly for the pasta options!

Went the cafe in Yarnton garden centre today had 2 lattes 1 pork sausage roll and 1 pasty coffee ok well over priced sausage roll and stale pastry. This cost £17.20 what a rip off. Not worth the money way to expensive I thought Burford garden centre was a joke but Yarnton is taking a liberty.😡😡

Very poor. I ordered fish and chips and they were so overcooked I had to leave most of it. VERY thick batter on the fish and the fish was so dry and overcooked it was chewy like a bad steak. No tartar sauce in the place and the lemon served with it was charred to within an inch of it's life so no juice left. Chips also very overcooked. I must say the pot of tea was excellent though.

Popped in for coffee & cake after browsing the garden centre. The cafe was quiet with plenty of staff milling around. A simple order of two coffees & two overpriced pieces of cake (the cheesecake slice was ridiculously small for the price) took almost 20 minutes to arrive.

Yarnton Magic Garden Soft Play. We very often take our Grandchildren to MAGIC GARDEN SOFT PLAY YARNTON (Oxfordshire) and everybody has a wonderful time. The Staff are so kind and friendly & helpful and the playspace is spacious and well thought out. It is a very happy atmosphere and everybody has an very enjoyable 2 hours. 3 two hour sessions a day. There is also an excellent cafe area with delicious food in the soft play for snacks and coffees/teas and soft drinks. They also have a garden playspace out the back with building bricks and benches. The children race about going in and out of tunnels and there is a special area for under two's. Also books and art and craft are included and you can have marvellous children's parties there as well. All organised by Magic Garden. It just has a great vibe. A Little Kitchen area too for creative play to make pretend food. I highly recommend Magic Garden Soft Play Yarnton Oxfordshire for a wonderful and creative time with your children. Everyone comes out smiling whatever age they are. It offers a wonderful and original support system for all the family. This really works. It is FUN in a safe space. Easy Parking too. Great, Great Place. Great day out. We all love it. 10 BIG stars and counting.

This garden centre has a varied selection of plants, indoors and outdoors, teamed up with stunning beautiful home ornaments, garden furniture, BBQs and more. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Waited to be shown to our table then had to go to counter to order. One table near us emptied and we waited - no sign of the table being sanitised and our table had crumbs on it from last customer! When our drinks and snacks arrived I said dont you sanitise here. I said about the other table and ours. Lady said did we want to move? We didnt pick the dirty table its the one they gave us. She casually wiped the table that had been vacated but not ours. Hot chocolate came which was horrible (made with water) which I left. My friend had a scone which was hard through being in a microwave. Staff had masks on but not covering theirs noses and some wore gloves used handling food plus everything else. Dont bother going we wont again.

We visited Yarnton Garden Centre and thought we would have a nice lunch. WRONG.. Upon arrival, a very stoney faced woman asked us to Covid scan, which we did. Right, she said, you can not order food until 12 noon, we have no baguettes and one of you can go up to order. As it was 11.45, we went and sat at our assigned table and waited until 12 noon. I then went up to order. By this this time there was 12 people in the queue and the queue was growing fast. I got the front of the line to be told chef isn't ready yet and to step aside and wait with another 7 people who were also waiting for food. Finally , 15 minutes later, she took my order.. I just wanted a jacket potato with prawns & marie rose sauce only to be told, we can not put prawns on a jacket potato. At this point, I lost it and said forget it and we left. The service was shocking and the atmosphere very poor. Will not be going back

I live in Bladon and 3 weeks ago placed an order for plants and compost with our local nursery - Yarnton Home & Garden. Despite numerous attempts to chase the order they have not replied to emails or telephone messages. Today by chance I’ve been able to get through only to find that all email orders are to be cancelled due to lack of stock. Why they could not inform me of this weeks ago and yet there website makes no mention of this and is still accepting online orders. Anybody local reading this would be better to try Bunkers Hill or Freeland nurseries. I’m sure they will get better service.

Very disappointed with the service today taking my child to see Santa. My mother booked for me to take my two children to see Santa this afternoon. As it was my son was poorly so I only took my daughter. This should of been a magical time for the kids however the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. They made me rally back to the stores customer service as I didn't have a ref number. She told me it should of been emailed. My mum Booked over the phone and was never asked for her email address. So on top of the rude staff my son who was unable to come didn't get his good boy certificate and present as once again didn't have the ref number. Such a let down. Staff really should try to be more helpful esp with events like this which have been paid for.

Great for young children wanting to see Father Christmas and reasonably priced compared to other places like Millets. My granddaughter loved it and it was well organised and they have very friendly, helpful staff. We also booked soft play and it was a really nice set up and the food was good and reasonably priced. We liked all the different christmas decorations and plants that you could see and buy and all the extra christmas displays that children could look at. I went to the new soft play, the Magic Garden, on Saturday and I was really impressed. The place was spotless, and they allow half an hour between each session to do a further deep clean throughout the day so that the standards are maintained for everyone. The soft play structure itself wasn't huge, but perfect for younger children and my 4 year old thought it was fantastic. The play garden was great and had loads to keep kids entertained.

Just booked our 3rd visit. Pre booking one of 3 bookable 2 hour sessions online means you won’t be disappointed like we were when we first went and found it was full. It also enables you to maximise your paid for session, which from our family set up, 2 grandparents plus a 1 and 3 year old, it’s actually £4:00 cheaper than Sprouts Barn since adults don’t pay.

I visited the softplay area today with my children (1yr & 4yr). The place is obviously very clean as it is so new. I really liked it and it had good quality things for the children to play with. The staff were lovely too and I felt they were keeping a good eye on things. I did find it slightly stressful keeping an eye on 2 children of different ages though as one wanted to be at one end, and the other at the opposite end, next time I’ll definitely take my husband! I think 4yrs is the upper limit really as I was very aware of the younger ones and didn’t want my overexcited son to knock in to them! I didn’t think there was enough there either to keep 4 yrs plus engaged for long enough.

My daughter and I have waited a considerably long time for the new soft play area at the garden centre to open. Now it's finally opened it's frankly a letdown. We arrived at around 11am on a Sunday, which we were charged £8.50 for as this is apparently classed as peak time- there were a total of 7 children there. At 11:50am I was then told the session would be ending at 12pm. At no point was I told at the till of this, or when I entered- if I had been I would not have paid £8:50 for 50 mins play. Yes, the area is new and clean and the equipment is good quality, but there's really not enough of it to warrant the entry price. Go to Sprouts at Millets in Frilford or Hilltop GC for a more cost-effective/cheaper soft play site

For the past 2 years or so this has gradually been going downhill despite their attempts to upgrade. Staff attitude in the restaurant is poor, food pretty standard. Bought 2 coffees one of which they spilled before handing over and wiped the cup with a filthy cloth - luckily I noticed and asked for it to be remade. The women in front of us asked if they could sit outside but the doors were closed - the girl behind the till suggested they carry their tray through the garden centre itself to which we all said "well that's brilliant health and safety" - a shrug of the shoulders was all they got. Drastic improvement required - there are plenty of other garden centres to visit - we'll be keeping an eye on the reviews.

You queue with your tray to be served which isn't always my ideal and can be slow during busy times of the day. That said there is a lot to choose from. Very good value for very generous portions. My first visit here this week lots of interesting things to see, apart from the garden centre there is a selection of outlets in the shopping village. There is also a restaurant if you want a coffee or a meal. The antique center is well worth a visit with lots of interesting items on show from the many antique dealers who sell there.

I have given this three stars as the actual whole thing is ok with shops to visit (love the works!) and thought that two stars would be unfair to them. The cafe, however, left a lot to be desired last time and I felt the staff a bit rude. I have come here lots before but never had hot food. I wanted to get a sausage roll and asked two people behind the counter who totally ignored me eventually another customer said I had to go to the gap between the counters (a metre away!) when I stood there suddenly I became visible! They were changing over to lunch but they still could have said to move to the gap rather than just ignore me. Having ordered this I then had to repeat my drinks order three times and there was a huge queue, particularly as only two people served out of the five behind the counter. Not impressed. The food and coffee was nice but I felt the whole experience was frustrating and a tad stressful with my one year old in my arms. (No offer to help get drinks to place so I had to secure child in highchair and shuttle drinks back). Other customers were unimpressed too. Mostly I think that staff were there but not helping.

I concur with the reviewer concerning difficulties in manouvering wheelchairs and rollators in the seating area. Also it is now much more difficult to exit the garden centre since they stopped people exiting from the door on the south side near TheWorks concession, which is the nearest to the disabled parking and the nearest entrance. You now have a long uphill trudge to the main exit and then back down the side of the building and along the front. My mother who uses a rollator said "Never again". Hence Millets or Chilton from now on.

I have visited Yarnton nurseries many many times over the years. Both on my own, with family but mostly with my Nan. Over the years my Nan’s mobility has reduced and she’s recently had to use a wheelchair. I’m aware the garden centre has undergone a refurb recently, (Car Park is much improved for a start!). However the coffee shop was an issue. They have crammed more tables in and lots of plants! I can see what they are trying to do but I felt the plants were a little extreme! As soon as I started walking towards the main seating area I knew I’d struggle trying to manoeuvre around the tables and chairs. If we weren’t attacked by a plant, we we tripping over chairs. I finally managed to get us a table but it felt a tight squeeze. Whilst waiting for our food (50 min wait today!), but we warned about the lack of staffing so... what can I say... note** our chips came out stone cold but due to the long wait already I didn’t want to bother staff for a bowl of hot chips! A lady in a wheelchair came around the corner. I could see instant panic on her face when she realised she would struggle around all the tables and chairs, and said herself she hadn’t visited since the refurb. She highlighted that it was much easier to get about before, which I agreed with.

Waiting 35 minutes for a toasted shows that there are big problems at this place! I asked for a refund because the staff confirmed that my sandwich still hadn't been cooked after that time.

I went in for a cuppa tea and we waited in line, then all of a sudden a ringing alarm went off and we got asked to leave, people were standing outside with their teas and food while they sorted it out, then once back in, there was no apologies for what had happen! We were stood outside for 10 to 15 minuets, I’m old I can’t do that at my age!

I love bringing my in laws to yarnton, the antiques centre is brilliant and a must see! Sad that they rearranged the layout so you can’t exit the antique centre and go straight into the garden centre, but have to walk back outside and go round. Great that they have a hobby craft here. The cafe has a good selection of cakes, the angel sparkle cake being my favourite. There’s a ‘creche’ kids area in the cafe too which is helpful. Loads of plants, and all the garden accessories you could hope for.

Terrible place, waited ages for our soup 2 baguettes and sausage roll and chips just to be told they had no sausage rolls and would our grandson like chicken nuggets and chips instead only for the chips to be stone cold. The baguettes only had chopped up chicken in them with no salad at all. Terrible place and would avoid at all costs.

We visited on Sunday Afternoon at approx 14.30,where we ordered to 2 Roast Dinners and 2 teas . we paid at the counter and took a seat and waited for the dinners to be brought to our table and we waited nearly 30 minutes.the staff seems to be having a general chit chat among them selves. Just as we went to inquire where the dinners were,2 young girls brought them to us, apologising that someone had put our ticket for the meals in the bin. There was no yorkshire puddings on our plates so we ask for them, a young girl brought them to us on a plate picked them up with her hands and put them straight onto our plate, So SHOCKED what happened to food hygiene?

After spending far too much money within the store and concessions we decided to have a bite to eat in your Cafe / Restaurant before visiting Santa's grotto (we had about an Hour until my son was taking part in a fun run)

Went on a Monday arrived at 12, already very busy queued for a long time placed order and you have not got to the tills or got a table before the staff are standing there with your food , and by the time you're sat down your food is cold , there must be a better system . And also there is a limited disabled parking, there is no disabled parking up near the pet store entrance it is all down the other end of the car park , and also the drive way is full of pot holes which you would not exspect being next to a builders yard which they must sell gravel to fill the hols , on the plus side the staff seam very helpful

The title says it all really. It is worth a visit. We go with our two toddlers and enjoy looking around. The fish shop and Christmas village are the highlight at the moment. I’ve been told their Santa’s grotto for a donation is great considering it’s a free, optional donation service. A super idea to have a grotto available like that as it can get expensive. The queue is big though which you would expect. The cafe is ok. We generally get hot drinks and cake and they are reasonable. I find the traybake items are generally tastier as the cake I’ve tried was a bit dry. The rocky road was delicious! There is a play section which is a great idea as it keeps the children happy but it needs some nicer toys in it. They all look like they are carrying a lot of germs and I’m not normally concerned about sharing toys. Some of the shops I’m not interested in but the farmhouse food bits are nice although can be pricey. The works is always worth a look and I often buy cheap books there. All in all it’s a good place to take children.

Average range of garden plants, on the higher end of normal pricing, intermingled with pleasant and approachable staff. Other ranges available within the centre from craft stores, wine shop, pet items and clothing make it a good all-rounder.

After a very distressing hospital visit we decided to call in for a snack and walk around. The place is now saturated with clothes outlets plus a large wine shop, etc. Lighting is very poor and the perspex roof hadn't even been cleaned before putting stores in. Its a complete mess and has been ruined. The cafe had nothing except sausage roll and cakes. All looked very dry and unappetising. We had 2 teas and 1 coke £5.10. We won't be returning yet we used to go regularly

This is the junction between garden centre and nursery where the main concern is plants and not cards ,cups of bland tea and expensive trinkets. Well worth the trip out.

I visited yarnton nurseries today with 15 friends there was lots of little shops all under the same roof from clothing to books gardening etc and a pet corner and play area for the children mostly all under cover so good place to take children then finish of with a lovely meal in their restuarant meals a very reasonably priced quite a good selection especially if you have there specials of the day i have eating problems the cheff came out and went through ingredients of items to help me choose what was suitable for me also great parking area also antique centre again lots of different ones under same roof so as you can see lots of things to suit all taste and if you just want to get a new bathroom or shed they have areas in car park to pick these items from and see things on display maybe all you want to do is just go and have a nice cup of coffee or tea and a cake sitting on a nice comfy sofa so yes you can even do that too

It's very expensive but staff are helpful in the garden section and knowledgable. Too many little shops been crammed in losing its charm. Moshula shoe shop has a bad selection of sizes kept. It's lost the feel of a garden shop and the restaurant seems to have more importance

What a great shame they have abandoned parking for people with disabilities. Pushing/pulling a wheelchair over the water filled potholes was a considerable trial. But we bought a great hanging basket, and enjoyed the antiques centre. The coffe e and filled baguette were brilliant.

Good sized garden centre with lots of outlets stores. Cafe was very busy when we arrived and it was confusing to work out what the rules were! Lady on the till was a bit of an old battle axe, felt like I was getting told off by my granny! Coffee was good, comes with a chocolate Think we will come back when less busy!

Biggest thing to compliment this place on is the customer service. I was very impressed with all members of staff serving on the 3 mornings I visited for a pastry and coffee breakfast whilst staying nearby. Friendly, efficient and I watched them acknowledge regulars by name. If I lived nearby this would definitely be my choice of place to go in Bicester. Coffee was very good. Had decaf flat whites, regular flat whites and a lovely piccolo coffee (slightly larger than a macchiato). Tasty range of pastries (I especially loved the raspberry croissant). Totally recommend you give it a try.

Workers are rude , sausage rolls are either undercooked or hard , tables are dirty , stuff just left laying around , and it’s not cheap . This company also has it hands in other pies too , that have a bad name , so watch out , and keep away .

Average pub really. Food was fine and cheap so cannot complain. Tables and floor were sticky which is never ideal.
