We went into there to watch the England game and had an ok experience. Went the following day (Saturday) and the atmosphere had changed. We were going to have food but decided against it. The pub was full of families with kids and the kids were running about unsupervised. I am not a fan of kids in a pub. We ended up have a nice meal at the Three Daws.

Lovely service by a young lad today, think he was helping his dad out. Lovely manners, could teach the lady with glasses that served our dinner some manners for sure. Food was nice though.

The Food was good, service was good and staff where decent with you. Came here due to flood in pub down the road. TV screens where on so you could watch F1 which was on at the time. Recommend if you want pub grub and decent service

There's always a screen for me to watch f1. And there's Saran. Barmaid like you don't get anymore these days. She knows your preferences, drinks and provides you with this personal touch you don't get very often in the pubs.

Sadly another pub in Gravesend that always attracts trouble on the weekend nights. I feel sorry for the Security guys that have to deal with this.

The first time I went to the goose I was shocked that it was open and they have kids meals and it is so delicious and I love it so check it out please.

Came for lunch and was greeted by a warming atmosphere. Saran , the bar tender was so lovely, happy to have chat and was extremely helpful and friendly. I had ordered 6 small plates and they were so filling we had to take some of it home! Large drink and food selection, welcoming staff. Will definitely come here again.

Came in with my mum yesterday. Haven't been here in a while. The young lady behind the bar was very friendly and polite. I ordered a steak,im very fussy when it comes to a steak i like it rare.came out perfect. Both our meals where spot on.im definitely coming back

Visiting family went for a drink adeclared there would be seven of us and a baby told that would be ok spread across two tables ordered drinks waiting for my sister my niece and great niece. Ordered another round of drinks my sister an niece arrived to be stop at the door by the acting manager who later told his name was Dan very rude told my sister she would not be allowed in with my niece and baby as it exceeded the 6 person rule they were now enforcing drinks weren't touch asked a refund only got a partial refund and had to leave the acting manager extremely rude throughout. Came with a group . We had pre -booked, and pre -ordered our food, the restaurant was not too busy. Waited an nearly an hour and a half for the first course,then a further hour for the main course. much of the food was lukewarm rock hard veg and some were sent back .The service was awful. After 3 hours some of the group had to leave, as there was no still no sign of the dessert!Such a shame

Came into the goose for some dinner been here a few times and not been bad, but eating dinner together and group and lads screaming and shouting at the top of there voices, swearing, in the dinner area! Popped in for some food and had to join queue of 4 people to order as only 1 member of bar staff, food then took 40 mins to arrive and when questioned staff were rude and argued service time, food was then also cold and poor quality, certainly will not be visiting again

The wife and I thought we would give it a try as very little open on a Monday for lunch in Gravesend. Nice atmosphere, certainly a little more pleasant than the local Wetherspoons and found the staff very friendly. I had the steak pie, ruddy good with chips and veg with a little boat of very tasty gravy. Missus had veggie tikka masala, not so impressed as seemed more like tofu than quorn. Overall pretty good for Gravesend, although I suppose that’s not saying much. Wish Leonardos was still in business.

Was enjoying a great night out with friends when I overheard the staff talking to their colleagues like absolute trash I was appalled, then two young girls got chucked out for no apparent reason I won’t be drinking in there again 😡

Me, my partner and 3 year old came here for dinner. We found the food was really good value for money and tasted good. The staff were friendly. Our child has a tendency to run around and explore and the staff were accommodating with this, even when he went to sit with a member of staff as she was eating her own dinner. I would definitely recommend!

Went into the goose for the burger night. As it’s so cheap I was not expecting something brilliant but my god I thought it’d be at least something acceptable. The whole thing was sloppy, cold and smelled not right. How a ‘family pub’ can serve such food with no standards at all, is a wonder. Result of this me or everyone in my family could not eat their dinner. When complained to staff they did not care at all. Maybe the management who run the place should have word with their staff and especially their kitchen about standards. None of us will be returning and will warn everyone about such a dirty, unfriendly dive of a pub.

Went yesterday for a drink and food, burger night so burgers should have been £5.99 however 2 burgers, 1 pint fosters and a coke came to £18!!!! Absolute rip off and burgers were very bog standard at best! Will not go here for food ever again, go to Wetherspoons down the road!!!!

I have been to the Goose a few times and found it to be pretty good for a high street pub. There are things that could be improved but then it does not claim to be the Ritz, there is a good selection of drinks and the food has always been fine and well priced.

Rude bar lady slopped my weak nasty coffee in front of me spilling in to saucer, no apology and no offer of a napkin... drip drip drip! The reason for her not being able to place a cup on the table without spilling was her extremely long nails.

I went into the goose a couple of days ago and all I can say is that the whole experience was disgusting. It was not busy but yet all the tables were sticky and had stuff left on them, probably from the whole day. I went up to the bar and the staff are all rude, un-welcoming and un-inviting. Me and my family did not feel comfortable or at ease while being in there. The food come out and it was cold, tasted vile and just looked not very appetising at all. When mentioning it to the staff they just looked at the food and then at me and laughed. The staff are probably the worst part about this place, as none of them was welcoming and all just standing around at the end of the bar ignoring all the filthy tables and the customers coming to the bar. All I can say now is I’m appalled at this place. I will make sure I tell everyone in gravesend not to waste there time and money in such a dirty place. Had to put a one star rating as there is no, no star rating.

Totally disappoint today ..when to lunch with my mum about 3,30..place wasn't busy..my mum ordered a coffee which took 10 mins to turn up,when it did the barmaid just dumped it in front of my mum and spilt it,no sorry she just walked away..food turned up with enemic looking chips and was cold..asked it to warmed up,came back still cold.usrd to.like it here,won't be back again..rubbish service and rubbish food

The table was clean and that's the only nice thing to say about this place! Drinks (coke and a beer) were warm and we had to ask for a clean glass for the coke.

Similar to Wetherspoons in decor, layout and menu, reasonably priced and varied menu, only drawback was the disgusting smokers right outside the entrance door.

I order the steak and coming one piece of meat splits in two cold and rare in the middle I asked medium rare. Never return!

Once again I tried the Goose for lunch, chicken kiev, simple enough you'd think, waited long time when not overly crowded, plate cold, peas even colder, cut into viev and you guessed it, cold. So sent it back telling why and waited even longer than first time, by now my lunch guest had finished their meal. When it arrived, yup, plate cold, peas cold, kiev hot, they just microwaved the hell out of it, flat, dry and almost impossible to cut. I have been in for breakfast as well which is good value but the only time it was right is when I had to ask for a hot plate. Its a shame because the food is generally good but served on cold plates it goes cold really quickly. Honestly,

Apart from the dirty cutlery, filthy sticky tables (that we cleaned in the end) and lipstick around glasses most of us enjoyed our meal. The "What a Porka" burger is nice, basically a mixed grill in a burger bun! Yorkshire pudding wrap, looked like it should be sliced roast beef in a wrap in the picture but came out as a normal yorkie with beef in it, pinned together with a cocktail stick! How you can get Gammon Egg and chips so wrong is beyond me, but hey, we all ate it at a reasonable price.!

We went into the Goose at Gravesend tonight,with our autistic foster child,as it is his routine after his Tae Kwondo session. We ordered our food and sat down to have a nice quiet meal.We had just started the meal and the music was put on so loud we could not hear each other .I went to ask if it could be lowered,a member of staff went to get a manager from the kitchen who walked past me ignoring me until I made it known that I wanted to talk to him.He was then extremally rude and obnoxious and laughed that I had complained,the deputy manager did come out and said that she agreed the music was too loud.I asked for the man's name he said that he would give it to me but "not to bother cause nothing would happen anyway" We were unable to eat our meal or drink due to the noise and how it had upset our child. You say that you are a family pub,you ARE NOT. We had to then deal with a very frightened 8 year old. We wasted over £20.00 for our meal only for it to be spoilt by one of your staff who needs some serious customer relation training. We have always put on good reviews in the past,I can assure you that will never happen again,and we will be relating this story to as many people as possible.

This is a roomy pub offering cheap beer and food very much in the Wetherspoon’s mould. There is plenty of comfortable seating, but the main difference between them and their counterpart is that the total area, wherever you choose to sit, is dominated by television screens and noise from speakers set on the walls. When we were there it was not the evening of any football match or notable sporting event, but the sound from the speakers had both music and television commentary (horse racing I believe) at the same time, bombarding the ears with noise and the brain with confusion. It wasn’t loud enough to be described as deafening, but certainly loud enough to be irritatingly intrusive if you just wanted to sit and chat as we did. We couldn’t stand it for more than one drink, and certainly not to eat with the distraction of the music and TV noise, so we left to continue our evening and for a bite to eat in the nearby competitor (which, incidentally, was packed which was another difference between the two – maybe for the reasons we switched venues).

Good vibe and good place to go for a cheap meal. Been a few times for a pre theatre or panc room drink, great

This pub is ok to have a few drinks, as the drinks were made well, efficiently and were reasonably priced. However, the karaoke on a Friday night that we visited just seemed to go on ... and on ... and on!

Had a buffet for 65 people here as part of a staff event, can honestly say that Rachel and her team were great. They had everything organised before we arrived and had sectioned seating areas off for us. The food was brilliant, and despite it being a busy evening for their staff, all of them were really helpful and nothing was too muchtrouble!

The Goose invited us all to watch the World Cup, the so call geriatric security was a joke & the manager even worse. After four matches of throwing drinks when England scored suddenly on semi final night the manager & security didn't like that idea. Also drugs were being dealt as well. Well done security!!!!!!! Disgraceful behavior by manager & security i urge all the youngsters to now boycott the goose from now on.

Always leave great reviews for this place, tonight let them down.. Ordered a med rare steak, came our more medium. Send it back, no troubles there. Only wanted the steak recooked. Everything else was fine.. Waited at least, 15 minutes, no food. My partner had finished his meal.. I work in a restaurant so I know it doesn't take that long to cook a med rare steak. Went and asked how much longer, was told a few more minutes.. By this time I'm Starved.. Asked for my money back and went home. Hungry.. Very disappointed as never had issues here before

Went in as was on weekend visiting family found friendly staff clean every where service was excellent food was served Quickly and well presented lovely cold drinks as well menu was excellent price was value for money would defiantly come back recommend this pub.

Watched the CL Final in The Goose... it was absolutely packed but the staff where excellent... drinks were served quickly and at a good price.... we had got in early and were able to grab a table in front of a screen to watch the football... bar food was good... great atmosphere in the place....,

Great selection here. Also do a selection of gluten free and vegetarian meals. Large selection of drinks available. Food is really reasonable, drinks just a little bit expensive. However had a great time, will come again for sure. Bar staff are friendly.

A realy nice Sunday Lunch with a good choice and pleasant staff with a nice atmosphere . We as a party have spent a lot o time in the Goose not only Sunday Lunch but in the week and on a Monday you receive an extra portion in addition to the ordered meal from the menu.

No toliet rolls in toliet, dirty tables as always, warm beer.. could be a top pub if put some effort into the place

Interesting bar staff, dodgy attitudes, visited a few times when quiet no effort to welcome or serve well, just do minimum type of experience! But the food always comes out quick, is tasty & good value! Alcohol decent price too!

This place is never going to win any awards for pub of the year however, it is a very friendly and well priced venue. Right in the middle of Gravesend Town Centre it's well located to pop in and have a few beers. I've always found the bar to be well stocked with great choice available. Very good pricing, you'll get change from £10 for 3 drinks! I've eaten here once before - it's ok. The food is well priced so I wasn't expecting gourmet food but it's certainly edible.

Just had an amazing breakfast freshly cooked so hot not like weatherspoons which is always cold. Such good value too atmosphere is nice always eat in here when in Gravesend. Lunchtime is busy but still good service and good food highly recommend the goose to eat.

Simply the worst bar staff in gravesend we had a large mixed party over Xmas and first drink took 30 minutes after that we left and went to the Grapes and spent our £450 in office kitty! You silly people I wonder if owner knows how poor their staff really are

So came in as a couple on Friday about 6oclock empty bar, two girls behind the bar talking so stood about a minute or two waiting when a customer comes in walks up next to me, the barmaid walks up serves her first, not impressed so went to eat at the Wetherspoons instead and spent £60 there instead...won’t be back

Why we bothered I don't know the first impression was not good and the whole experience turned out that way.While trying to place our food and drink there appeared to be a problem with the tills which involved three staff hovering around a till totally ignoring the waiting customers eventually orders were placed but no "sorry about the wait".The table we sat at was badly stained but there was no effort made by the staff to clean it the food was brought and just dumped on the stains.The food itself was very poor value I had the Yorkshire pudding wrap which had a very soggy bottom and the topside of beef inside lacked taste and was tough.I am striving to find something positive from our visit to The Goose but I am sorry to say I can't think of anything to report.

Myself and my friend on the 4th of November decided to have lunch at The Goose Pub. We both ordered the roast dinner, chicken for myself and beef for my friend, we waited about 25min for the roast dinners to come out, my chicken was very dry and tough, for desert I had ice cream, there was large chunks of ice surrounding the ice-cream, it appeared the scopes had been prepared in advanced, melted and re frozen due to it tasting odd. My friend had the sponge pudding which was very dry, tiny little bit of ice cream with it. We waited 35 minutes for the deserts to come over, there was only one poor girl taking the food to the tables. The diet coke we ordered was flat. I will not be coming bk here again

So just been into The Goose for breakfast which lasted a whole 30seconds. As I went to the bar to order I was told there was no sausages........... so I could have what I wanted but couldn't order anything with sausages!!! So that's the whole menu then!!

From the outside it looks like one of Tim Martin's pubs.....but it is not. Inside this large pub there are a lot of photographs and TV screens and a wood floor. The bar is long and well stocked and there is a raised area at the back to eat as well. I chose the large all-day breakfast which at £3.99 was cheaper than Wetherspoon's, although the coffee was £2.29 and it tasted okay. The food was served within twelve minutes and was well cooked, well laid out and plentiful. The sausages were better than Wetherspoon's too!! No problems at all with the food here.

Went in on off chance , menu was good with a whole different variety, hubby and me had a breakfast and we both enjoyed it, good reasonable price too and there's dark fruit !!!

We have eaten here several times, the menu is varied & very good value. Always found the staff attentive & good at their jobs. Too many TV's for my liking, they could have an area minus TV's, its a bog enough place.

Stood 20 mins waiting for drinks order at the bar for a good £30 round of drinks not very busy staff just laughing and chatting with their friends at the bar very bad attitude so we all walked out and went to prosecco bar down road were staff were top draw and quick as lightning never will return I wonder if owners know!!!

I dine here quite often with friends, family and as a solo dinner and a meal with friends during week was the first time I had issues. My friend ordered two meals from the 2 for £8 section, when I went to ask were one of the meals was the server did not hear two meals only one? when the other meal came out it was burnt to a crisp and clearly had been rushed out my other friends meal was cold as they had to go and sort out the missing meal issue. My friend and I waited for our two deserts for quite some time only to be told they had run out of what I wanted, we was then told this again by a diffrent server communication? Normally I love eating here and was suprised at the issues.

Well this is second time ive visited this pub as i find it nice and relaxed and very family friendly. Food is good value and the staff very nice and helpful. Kids enjoyed there food shall be visiting again when i am next in Gravesend.

Had not been to Gravesend for ages. Wanted something quick and tasty, not McD or BK, so we saw The Goose and thought we'd try it. Found a table, decided what to eat and went to pay. Served straight away and food was ready in about 10 to 15 minutes. 2 meals for £8.99. Both hot and tasty. Glad I didn't read reviews beforehand or I would not have gone in. Well done.

Great for a cheap meal out or drinks with friends/family. Know what you're getting every time you visit - consistently cheap and cheerful! Cocktail pitchers and sharing platters are really good value for money. Staff are hardworking and informative. Lots of booth seating and a children's area.Live sport played regularly on big screens.Music played in the evenings and can get very lively on the weekends. Various themed events such a karaoke, music nights and fancy dress. Always free entry.

Booked table for 8 and it was all laid out and with jugs of iced water. Ordered from the great value 8.99 for 2 menu and all our orders came together. We were asked if everything was to our liking. Did not disappoint. Would definitely return!

Rubbish manager, rubbish beer rubbish staff, rubbish food = a dump. Could be a gold mine. Pricing strategy is clearly wrong, staffing levels are clearly wrong and I don't know how the pleb who microwaved my food got the timing wrong so it arrived cold.

This place is similar to a Wetherspoon, cheap booze where you can chill and watch sport on tv. The food is all the typical pub grub and doesn't taste the greatest, however if your after a few drinks this is the place to go.

I came in for a coke with my friend there was no where to sit as most of the tables had empty plates and glasses and bits of food . The toilets were just as bad with toilet roll missing from at least 4 toilets . I wouldnt eat out of here to many young adults as staff who are running it into the ground ! With no one taking charge . The staff are not doing their jobs . No one behind the bar . We actually watch a girl drop a teapot and just leave it there .
