The food was great and the service awesome, there was nothing bad to say, in the opposite everything went over the standard. I would greatly recommend this place. Well done.

We walked into The Vine Inn at 7.15pm Thursday 26th August and a young man very kindly allocated us a table for two but emphasised that we would have to vacate the table by 8.45pm because it had been reserved. Fully understood and agreed obligingly. I joined the queue to order our meals, and began chatting to a lady who joined after me, she told me that she had been waiting for over an hour and a half for her meal, I thought that was excessive and was a "one-off". I ordered two meals from the Big Plate Special, and the bar staff told me that I would have to order the puddings at the same time (these are free with the Big Plate Special), I told him I didn't know which puddings we wanted and that I would return once the queue had ended. He told me that I had to order them at the same time as the main meal to qualify for them to be free. Told him again I would return. On my return with my request he told me that would cost £8.98, I told him to cancel the puddings. Time dragged on, many people were complaining about the waiting times they were experiencing, some even asking for their money back and leaving. Our allocated time at the table had now been reached and still no food had been served. I asked to speak to the manager who duly appeared. She listened to our wait time complaint and went to investigate the reason with the kitchen. On her return she told us that ours was being done next after they had served another table elsewhere in the restaurant and she pointed towards it. I asked her about the pudding that must be ordered at the same time as the main meal rule. Her answer was that it states as such on the menu, I asked her to show me the wording to this rule. She could not find it, WHY? because no such wording exists on the menu, her response "you've got a point there", but no offer of the free puddings was made. I watched the serving staff serve other tables in a completely different direction to the one the manager pointed towards after she stated that ours was being prepared next. After a wait of one hour 20 minutes our meal (without pudding) arrived and it was good, worth the wait? Don't think so, and what's more we weren't kicked off our table to make way for the 8.45pm diners, don't think they turned up. Other diners who had waited more than 2 hours did eventually receive their meals and were also given full refunds. Would we go again, a definite "NO".

Así que queríamos un lugar para quedarnos cerca de Paultons Park (Pepper Pig World), que está a menos de 3 minutos, ¿por qué estrenar? Bueno, no puedes equivocarte, ¿verdad?

Pub cosas y ambiente relajado y no profesional. La comida de Whetherspoon es mejor y eso dice mucho. El precio de la comida no refleja los precios. En general, lo hizo para el propósito de la estancia.

Well, what a catalogue of errors during my stay here! Arriving on Thursday evening I booked into my room at the Premier Inn and went to buy dinner in the adjoining Vine Inn. The dining room/pub was full of families with children running around with food. It was a warm evening and I preferred to eat outside in some quiet. I was told, after queueing up for about 15 minutes to be served, that they didn’t serve food outside as were licensed for 200 inside places. I insisted I wanted to sit outside and they then agreed, saying take a bucket out. I took a bucket, containing haphazard cutlery that didn’t look that clean, upturned mayonnaise and ketchup and rubbish from the previous persons fruit shoot bottle top! No napkins. I paid for my meal and drink and sat outside for 50 minutes waiting for my food. There were piles of empty/dirty glasses outside and it appeared the place was very short staffed. I went back inside to ask what had happened to my meal. Two minutes afterwards I was served with my meal, minus the sauce I ordered and the food was stone cold. It had clearly been sat somewhere gathering bacteria for much of the 50 minutes I had been waiting for it. I returned the plate of cold food inside and was offered a fresh plate of food, with the sauce for my steak. This appeared within ten minutes and whilst not piping hot, was better, until I found a black hair amongst my peas! I was so hungry by this time, I just ate what I could and discarded the hair trying to ignore it. I was refunded for the meal as a gesture of good will. On Friday morning I entered the restaurant for breakfast. The scene was chaos. No staff to be seen or to greet guests, I wasn’t even asked my room number by anyone. There were children screaming, spilled milk all over the cereal station and general untidiness everywhere. Some cutlery was on the table that had had something spilled on, but there were napkins this time to wipe the knife and fork. The breakfast was fine, buffet style and I went outside to drink my weak coffee. Once outside I could see dishes left on tables from the night before containing desserts from evening meals which were being eaten by wild birds. The number of bacteria breeding on these plates left out in the heat plus the bacteria spread from the birds made the crockery a living Petri dish. There are cobwebs around the restaurant , the curtains look like they haven’t been cleaned since smoking was allowed in pubs as completely nicotine stained and grim. There is a ceiling light fitting which is broken and tied up over peoples head with string. There are weeds growing out of the guttering and the place is generally tired, grim and uncared for. For dinner on Friday I ordered a korma. The queue was over 10 to 12 people deep, with one person at the bar taking both drinks and food orders and took over 25 minutes to have my turn to order. Again, I requested to eat outside, which this time wasn’t met with any negativity. My food came within a reasonable time, but my glass had lipstick on it, which was concerning regarding the standard of washing up and my previous observations on dishes left out with wild life feeding on them. During the night, flies, rats, mice etc could have also accessed these plates. The Korma was fine, not piping hot, but fine. Saturday morning, I had been completely put off the food and for breakfast played safe with a muffin and a brioche, not exactly my £9.50’s worth. I got a taxi out to another restaurant for dinner, which was delicious with friendly service and another review will be made on this place. I was just happy not to be subject to the Hungry Horse again. Sunday mornings breakfast was eventful! Again, there seemed a significant shortage of staff with two members of staff arguing in front of guests about each other not doing their job properly. The stations were a mess with overflowing grates, spilled milk and flies being attracted. There were no glasses, cup or plates and when guests asked for these pleasantly the man on duty was extremely rude to guests, not addressing them directly nor apologising but cursing under his breath, storming about and slamming plates down. It was embarrassing and made everyone feel incredibly uncomfortable. The woman on duty did her best to apologise to people but was clearly fraught. It was a disgrace! Again, I took my coffee outside, once I got a cup to see once again beer and wine glasses left out from the night before as well as dessert dishes being once again fed off by wildlife. I took my complaints to the front desk of the Premier Inn and was told he received these complaints on a daily basis. I don’t think it is rocket science to agree certain standards between Premier in and Hungry Horse when they are ‘complimenting’ each other’s business. To throw your hands up and say complain to Hungry Horse is all well and good, but this is a facility offered as part of the booking with Premier Inn and there needs to be some responsibility for not only poor service, but for what I perceive as a significant health hazard! As far as The Premier Inn is concerned, the staff were better, by a margin. The bed was very comfortable, but there was staining on the sheet/duvet cover. There was a huge cobweb in my room and the window overlooked an area of greenery full of overgrown weeds, which could have been kept so much nicer. A small thing, but the curtains and nets didn’t fit the window properly. A fire door was also propped open with a brick. Again, there are blocked gutters with weeds growing out of them and again, just a feeling that no one cares very much about the place. Positive points are that the food at the Vine Inn is reasonably priced, it is near to Peppa Pig World (probably hence the number of young families). I won’t be staying here again.

The restaurant was clean the staff kept smiling through the huge queues and tried to be accommodating where they could. When the food came it was hot and delicious. So yes, we would return. Just to reassure others who read the bad reviews and panicked like me!

My second visit to this establishment for food, do not know what has happened since the first!Ordered the mix grill, the chips were soft and cold, mushrooms like rubber and the chicken.. well I didn’t realise it was chicken it was that watery and disintegrated. The resturant was fairly busy, therefore an understandble lack of staff on the floor and some vacant tables with empty plates still on. The staff were more than pleasant, it is just a shame that the food quality seems to have diminished greatly. A shame after visiting before and having the same dish.

We stayed here for one night before going to paultons park, location wise it is perfect for the park the rooms were the usual at premier inn clean, comfy bed and generally pleasant. The only downside is the awful pub next door which is not part of the premier inn therefore you cannot have the premier inn breakfast - we were warned against it as apparently the food is awful. It's a shame this premier inn does not own the eating establishment.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay following a planned day out to Peppa Pig world(PPW) It is right near PPW but that is about all I can say is right about it and parking is good. Arrived and weren’t told about a broken boiler, we were tired with 2 toddlers, 1 had a temperature also so it was straight to bed and keeping eye on my little one in particular. In the morning, no hot water, no phone to call reception. My friend braved the cold shower. Spoke to reception who then told us the boiler was broken and there was nothing they could do(my friend has today made a formal complaint). As for the restaurant, oh my. The manager was stuck to the table ...yuck! And the breakfast itself was yuck! The manager was abrupt... I personally couldn’t wait to leave that place. Defo give this one a miss.

I stay in the Premier Inn pretty much every month, and that is fine. Thought I would give the pub a try for food, it used to be a Fayre & Square, which was not very nice, and it’s now a Hungry Horse. Very little has changed from what I could see. Ordered a starter of chicken wings, followed by fish & chips. Well the starter turned up with the mains, which I questioned, and got them to take it away. The starter was soggy chicken wings, and were not very nice, the mains was obviously just put under a heat source & brought back out again. I won’t be eating there anymore, service not very good either, I’d rather walk over to the services nearby & get a McDonalds. I really can’t believe that what could be a really nice place in a lovely location serve the rubbish that they do. There was also some families there with young children who were running about all over the place, not the sort of thing you want after a day’s work. Couldn’t & wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We prepaid 4 continental breakfasts each here at a cost of 6.99 each per day. There was a menu to choose from but croissants were only available on day one....There were no smoothies , the yogurts were at room temperature when it clearly stated 'keep refrigerated' on the lid of each one, the 'fruit salad' consisted of melon and apple with an odd grape on some days, this tasted quite odd on the last morning so we left it, wondering if it was the same bowlful as the first day, just added to! The bagels were rock hard inside and out and looked as if they had 'freezer burn' inside....There was no white bread for toast on Friday morning. We played safe in the end and just had weetabix and milk and toast. The lack of cleanliness was very apparent with splashes of milk on the table by the dispenser and cooked egg white on the dark carpet (very obvious) when we entered, and still there when we left....In an open area where a staff member stepped over it more than once rather than pick it up!! The tables were wiped between customers but crumbs just landed on chairs so one had to wipe ones chair before sitting down. There was also a large uncovered bowl of ?Cream by the cereals also at room temperature...I wondered if that should have been there....The yogurts were just plonked in a bowl....If they had been placed on ice to keep chilled I'm sure they would have been OK but they tasted funny so I left it....We think the staff here need training in safe food temperatures and hygiene....This place badly let's down the Premier Inn reputation. We mentioned these points to the hotel management on the second morning and we were refunded that mornings breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel recently after staying there a year ago to re-visit Paultons park. The hotel itself is in a great location, the staff are friendly and the rooms are lovely. We have no issue with the hotel, the problem is the restaurant attached to the hotel. The vines. I had pre-booked a table online for dinner which they had no record of. We then had to find a table outside where there was lots of wasps. The food itself is very reasonable and of a good quality. The biggest issue with the restaurant is there is no table service and there is one queue at the bar. Whether you wanted food or just a drink, you had to wait. I understand a queue for food but there should be a separate queue for the bar. We sometimes had to wait 30 minutes just to get a drink. On our last night there they ran out of beer, crisps etc and many items were off the menu. We were also told that we could not book a table in the restaurant after 6.30 so again had to sit outside whilst half of the restaurant remained empty. Reserved signs on the table but no one turning up to use them. The breakfast wasn't much better. A year ago the staff were friendly and there was a happy positive atmosphere. This year they were unfriendly, unhelpful and generally seemed down trodden. It's a shame as we had such a nice experience the year before.

I never like extreme opinions, as they are often biased. But having thought of all the words I could use to describe this restaurant ... DISGUSTING will do just right !!!Three adults and two kids for an evening meal on a Sunday. Two roast beefs, one roast chicken, two kids fish finger meals. When it turned up it looked like it came out of a tin !!It had obviously been warmed up from earlier in the day.It tasted foul !!The only good thing about it was it was very small; and I do mean small.Half a floret of cauliflower, so boiled it was mush; a teaspoon of (powdered ?) potato, beef that was perfectly circular (?) with gravy stuck to the plate.ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !!We looked around the other tables (nothing got cleared away) and every plate had lots left on them.We went outside to let the kids play.Ground covered in cigarette butts and rubbish.Wooden tables full of dirty glasses.Overflowing waste bin - full of take away pizza boxes !!!(No surprise there)This is part of the hotel; which was fine.Clean and smart. In the morning we sit for breakfast;waiting for a cooked dish we make ourselves a tea to drink ...Oh no we wont - No Tea Bags.Eventually they arrive; but No Hot Water !Eventually hot water turns up; but - and I do not exaggerate - No Milk !!Including no milk for kids cereals. So I'll have a pastry why waiting.Oh no I wont - No Pastries.Eventually I find a Bagel.I soon realise why nobody touches the Bagels - My knife wont even make a scratch on it !!What an absolutely shambolic affair. And i say again - DISGUSTING !We give up (with two hungry kids). We would complain if there was any staff around.

Our rom key would not allow us access to our room, despite trying to be reset it meant that every time I left the room reception staff would have to let me back in!! we were told the restaurant was very full but decided to put ourselves on a waiting list and were seated after an hour.on finally getting to the front of the queue at the bar to order our food we were told that due to only one fryer working they could only cook chicken and meat, no fish. then that two of the other thing we wanted were also off the menu!we waited 40mins for our food, watching numerous people returning their for being cold etc.when it arrived it was terrible! tasteless, chips looked like they were yesterdays and don't even get me started on the rubbery piece of chicken....dire!they were clearly understaffed and the staff were run ragged, despite this they remained polite, although they looked incredibly stressed.in the bedroom (I had a family room for myself and two daughters) the childrens beds weren't even made but the sheet was double folded and laid on top of the mattress, not tucked in or anything. room overall was clean etcbreakfast was in the restaurant and we went as we had paid in advance for it....wish we hadn't! only two staff running entire restaurant. everything had ran out, waited an age to have order taken for a very lacklustre breakfast, couldn't get my knife through the bacon. All in all massively disappointing. the saving grace was the polite staff who were clearly working under awful stress.

The Premier Inn is located on Romsey road, Nursling and benefits from free car parking and lots of it. We stopped on a bed and breakfast deal. There is also a Beefeeter restaurant as part of the complex which provides the meals. The facility is well run in traditional Premier style with clean lines and the usual bedroom facilities.A wall mounted TV, ensuite bathroom etc are all well presented. The only niggle us that there is no tray for the tea and coffee facilities. This would avoid the spillage that inevitability occurs from time to time.An excellently positioned stop if you are visiting the area, on business or awaiting your cruise departure.

Hello,Pleasant hotel, mainly designed for business but does this very well. The room was very clean, and the usual super comfy Premier Inn bed and duvet. Really helpful night team, and morning team with nothing too much trouble. The breakfast in the morning was also good, with great service.

We arrived to park in front of a selection of rubbish (see photos) in the car park. Not a good start. The accomodation in Premier Inn was clean and comfortable. Now to the "restaurant " next door. (See photos). I have never been in such a thoroughly disgusting establishment. Two tables had bowls collecting fluid from the ceiling. The toaster had a dial missing and was unable to toast bread well. The selection of bread was cheap and dry. I had to request tongues to pick up the bread that others had touched with hands. The staff member had no understanding as to why I would possibly need tongues for bread. The whole place was dirty, with rubbish lying around quite openly. The large windows were covered in layers of greasy finger prints. To be honest I could go on and on about this nasty place which is totally unfit for purpose. It would be very interesting to see what a Health and Safety inspection would uncover!!! I don't even think a total refurbishment would help..... it needs demolishing and a change of management and staff. The management of Premier Inn need to start taking notice of customer reviews and address the multitude of problems. I suspect the hotel gets little or no return trade. After all , who wants to stay in a place with large items of rubbish dumped in the car park and in a place where guests are expected to dine in a Health and Safety nightmare. It's simply not good enough for them to say the restaurant has nothing to do with them...... it is..... they advertise a good quality breakfast in that establishment.

I had read a lot of negative comments about this restaurant and was a bit wary of eating there. However, I was surprised to find that, although the restaurant was full of families when we got there (around 7.15 p.m) we actually were served our food within about half an hour (although there was only myself and my grand-daughter). The food was as expected from a "family" restaurant catering for all ages, not cordon-bleu but edible. The breakfast in the morning was excellent value for money, so many choices and unlimited amounts.

This was probably one of the worst meal experiences in my life.A shabby restaurant ,inattentive staff, and a waiter who was wearing jeans with his shirt hanging out .It took over an hour for my main course to arrive and that only after I had complained and surprise , surprise only about a minute after I had complained and you've guessed it .It was cold and I sent it back . There was a bleating apology from the waitress who promised she would get the manager and would be offered a refund. No manager,no refund. Some half an hour later my main course arrived . No real improvement.I toyed with it and left.I made a complaint to the receptionist at the Premier Inn desk who informed me that I was not the only person who had had an unfortunate experience, but she could not really do anything as it was not run by Premier Inn.She would ,however ,pass on my concerns to her manager.

This is okay - nothing fabulous but does the job for Peppa Pig world. Make sure you book two rooms if there are two adults and three children because the rooms are not really geared up for extra beds etc. Staff are lovely but the same can't be said for the place next door where you have to go for breakfast. They just seem understaffed and can't cope when there is a rush on. Not really their fault - food is fine and it is a shame that the cooke breakfast is made to order because then you are at their mercy if they are busy.

A very typical Premier Inn. Clean room, good service, especially when requesting sheets instead of duvets as the rooms and outside temperature was hot. Food excellent in restaurant. Staff outstanding. Very happy.

As with most Premier Inns the service from staff was excellent and instead of a bath the room contained a walk in shower. The decor was clean and there was mood lighting above the headboard allowing for a calm light during the night.

We booked a room as a present for my mother in law, when I call to confirm when they are going to arrive they told me that it has to be PAID IN ARRIVAL !!! As I won't be there I cannot pay by myself and it is a present I asked how can I pay in advance. They told me I have to send A FAX to confirm they can extract the money from my credit card. After 1 hour looking for q fax machine we arrived to another premier inn to use their fax machine and we sent the fax.THEY HAVEN'T ACCEPTED THE FAX!!!! They said it has to be a headed paper!!!!After 1/2 hour arguing with us they found a "solution".The way around it is to cancel it through booking.com and booking with them!!I would avoid from now and on to booking there and I started to tell to everybody I know about this experience.
