Went here for lunch today, just wanted something light for my husband and myself. Often go to a garden centre for a bowl of soup or something just to get my husband out as he has dementia. Menu advertised soup of the day with a roll or savoury scone but when I asked the young girl serving ( Kaz Williams) what soup it was I got a VERY curt 'there isn't any soup today'. When I enquired why there wasn't any she replied 'we've run out'. So I ordered a cheese scone instead only to be abruptly informed that 'it's self service'. At this point I was so annoyed with her attitude I asked for her name which she willingly told me! I don't think she was even aware that her lack of good manners were being considered by the customers she was serving (or perhaps she just didn't care?) I ordered two coffees as well as the scone which were served by a very kind (older) lady who even carried the tray for me to my table. Note: I am disabled and need a walking stick to help me walk so carrying a tray is difficult. We often visit this garden centre as it is close by but if this young lady continues serving with the same attitude as today I will seriously consider going elsewhere in future.

We've had a predominantly burned breakfast (the coffee was good). The sausages were black on one side and the two pieces of toast also were matching the colour. One sausage looked like being bitten. The serving young man appeared to be very indifferent. When I asked for another coffee, I would have thought that under the circumstances, he would have offered it on the house, but he couldn't care. 9

Not great welcoming service. Ordered avocado and eggs on an English muffin. Waited a long time, when the food arrived the avocados were frozen and turning an off yellow colour. on chunks that were less solid it tasted awful. The bread was soggy and the eggs Luke warm. We were so hungry from waiting we tried to eat it but left half. No one came over to check if we were okay, and even after 15 minutes of waiting after we finished there wasn’t any available staff to discuss the quality of food. There was only one server at the desk with a long Que so did not feel it was fair taking time away from other customers being served.

Non welcoming service, and very unhelpful. No one came to check how the food was, or to collect our plates when we had finished. We ordered the avocado and egg on toast. It was clear that the avocado had been pre chopped and frozen, as the slices were frozen solid. The avocado had also clearly started to go off as was a brownish/yellow colour. We had also ordered the vegetarian breakfast. The bread was also solid and the butter came melted in the packet.

Play area has now gone, replaced with loads of extra (empty) tables for OAPS. Managers are also rude. Saw them being rude to other customers. Food terribly overpriced and not that great. Kids didn't eat everything which is unusual for my kids. Not child-friendly, don't go with the kids. Old cafe and play area pre-covid was much better. Avoid if you have a family.

Food is excellent if you don’t mind queuing for 25 minutes to order. One member of staff to take orders, serve cakes and pastries, make hot drinks and take payment. Used to queuing there for a long time but never 25 minutes.

I have enjoyed gardening all my life and the Marlow Hillier is the best garden centre I have seen so far. Their premises are always immaculately clean, their selection of seasonal plants is second to none and a great inspiration for garden design and enjoyment completed with a great choice of quality potteries and garden ornaments. The Mulberry & Thyme is my favourite place to go in Marlow for its friendly welcome and great selection of freshly baked cakes, delicious Full English breakfast to enjoy either inside or in the lovely secluded outdoor patio. Their wonderful gift shop offers a lovely range of garden inspired products and cosmetics and their Christmas ornaments selection is a real treat. Thank you so much to the Team for making this garden centre really stand out and create such a lovely environment for the community to enjoy !

The previous time we visited this cafe they were without a chef and so only doing coffee and cake. Thankfully normal service has now been resumed with a proper breakfast and lunch menu. I enjoyed the chicken curry and my partner was very happy with her tuna jacket potato. There was a good selection of home made cakes as well. We were surprised at how busy it was on a Friday morning and there was often a queue of people ordering at the till. Having said that, the wait for food didn't feel that bad in practice and the staff were doing their best to cope with demand, though they were starting to run out of some items even when we ordered at 12:30. Despite the general business there were lots of well spaced tables available.

Arrived to buy some gifts with three adults and 2 dogs. on a Friday lunch time this week. Freezing cold and windy day - attempted to buy 3 lunches and drinks - refused entry with dogs - only two sets of other users in cafe area and completely empty activities area. Another couple also trying to buy lunch and drinks. Told in very rude manner to go outside in the wind and cold to eat! Party consisted of two older people, one with mobility difficulty, and we asked if we could use the empty room - rudely told NO! Cafe staff were not busy and were standing behind counter doing nothing! Consequently we left with no food or drink and did not buy the gifts we wanted. Surely as the cafe was nearly empty, it was extremely cold and both us and the other couple had older people in their groups, the cafe could have accommodated all five of us, even if they wanted us to sit away from others. Uncaring and thoughtless of Hilliers staff and we will no longer return to support you.

Larry sold my wife and I a beautiful set of garden furniture. Lovely gentleman, excellent service including the delivery. Delighted with our purchase and may I add how we’ll set up the store is for CV19, from the entrance onwards including clearly marked, and observed (!), social distancing measures. A well drilled, friendly and helpful team with great range of products, at attractive prices too. We couldn’t find anything better on the net or in other garden centres locally.

What's not to like about this garden centre? Very good plants great value for money easy parking and wonderful friendly knowledgeable staff. Went to this centre, then Booker Garden centre then Beaconsfield. Booker I found to be a tad shambolic and not a great variety but very pleasant staff, Beaconsfield was ok for variety but a staff member was particularily rude and seemed to be suggesting they sold unhealthy plants, avoid this one. Marlow however had organised things exceptionally well and was a grand experience.

Was once a Wyevale Garden Centre, now part of the Hillier group. This is a very good garden centre. It is very well stocked with a large variety of plants, trees etc. At this time of year there is a great selection of Christmas decorations and similar. Plenty of parking and friendly helpful staff. Had a snack lunch in the cafe which was excellent. A couple nearby were having afternoon tea which looked really good and reasonably priced. One of the better garden centres in this area.

We dropped in here on our way to visit the gardens at Cliveden and decided to have breakfast. We opted for their big breakfast sandwich, which contained sausages, bacon and an egg. It came piping hot; the egg was perfectly cooked, with nice runny yolk and the sausages and bacon were really meaty and tasty. I can't remember when we last had such a good breakfast sandwich. Worth breaking your journey for!

Reviews seem to concentrate on the cafe / restaurant however this is an excellent and well presented garden centre and the cafe is but a small part of it. Great deal of variety here. The cafe looks good, the coffee is very good and there is a large selection of cakes. Didn't have a meal but my companions and I were well satisfied with coffee and cake. Good friendly service. This is a Wyevale Garden centre and according to the notices will change ownership shortly.

Having lunched here for years on 2nd January 2019 I found 2 pieces of plastic in my apple crumble, one piece was VERY sharp and would have caused injury had it been swollowed. They did NOT withdraw the other puddings but gave my another instead. I spoke to a number about the issue as the kitchen staff seemed unconcerned and they said they would look into it and come back - as of 14th January I have heard 0. I also contacted Wyvale directly about them not withdrawing the pudding and the lack of concern and they said they would look into it and come back to me. I have heard 0. I would not recommend eating here, the plastic was nasty - the first thing somebody should have done was to withdraw the puddings. I am disgusted with them.

Visited as an extended family. 3 adults and 3 children. Girl serving in the cafe hadn't a clue what she was doing. Two girls were serving two customers but it still took a ridiculously long time to pay. We were finally served but girl hadn't a clie anout menu or specials so had to explain there was a hot turkey sandwich option or cold one and we wanted to order the hot option. When it arrived she still had it wrong and we got cold sandwiches so had to send them back. When we finally got the hot sandwiches they were tepid at best, by which point we were very hungry so gave up and ate them. Would not visit again which is sad as we live locally.

£1.95 for a 330ml can of Pepsi. That is utterly unacceptable so we buy them from the garage down the road for 55p if we go there. Our group used to meet there weekly for our company coffee catch up but there are far nicer locations with fantastic views in Marlow for a fraction of the price. There's a lot on offer for a garden centre, prices again sku incredibly high (Marlow pricing). There is a good kids area by the cafe but I would suggest early morning or late afternoon visits as its small and ten children and a handful of parents fills it.

Meeting up with an old friend for coffee and cake on a sunny Sunday morning. We were the first customers of the day, all we ordered was two coffees and two slices of cake by the time we had got our order there was quite a queue behind us, so goodness knows what it is like when it gets busy. The coffee was nice but the cake was very dry, probably due to the heat.

A very hot afternoon in June saw us drop in for a variety of exploits. Soft Play for our two granddaughters, a pleasant coffee and Ice creams for the adults and children respectively, seated in the pleasant restaurant that was suitably ventilated and serviced by very nice staff. After that we had the chance to browse the many interesting sections of the centre including plants, water features, gardening implements and lots of ideas for dinner decision inside and out. All in all a very nice visit, highly recommended for any age group.

The staff seam to get more rude and grumpy on every visit, the last on the 25th of Jan 18 was the worst. I asked for help to carry my order to a table as heavily pregnant and was refused help. Then had to wait 5 minutes for 2 hot drinks with no one in front of me. Ridiculous!!

My husband and I went to this restaurant for lunch on Friday 5 January. We both had a bacon and Brie panini, a slice of cake each and a coffee. The panini was really tasty. The toffee drip cake my husband had he really enjoyed. My slice of Victoria sponge initially I was enjoying it but I found a piece of clear plastic in the cake. I went back to the counter and showed the staff what I found and they were horrified. They immediately offered me a slice of a different cake and removed the remainder of the cake from the display. I selected a slice of a different cake to take away. I was impressed with the way they dealt with the situation.

On a bleak wet morning I find a good coffee and breakfast a good pick me up. I went to wyevales and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and service was quick. We had the traditional breakfast which was beautifully cooked and for those feelings really hungry there is the grand breakfast. Very popular for lunch as there is a child play area. It's a great place to catch up with friend's over a hot drink and watch the children having fun. Overall a great place to visit and as well as the food if you want anything for your garden you should be able to get it.

The Cafe in the Marlow Garden Centre is a welcome rest after shopping and we thought we would catch a coffee but ended up ordering lunch. The food counter is spotlessly clean, the blackboard has daily specials and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and served hot and there is a good selection of soft drinks healthy and thrust quenching including Ginger beer etc.The only problem is the close proximity to the children's play area which is great for parents who can have a cuppa whilst watching their kids but it can get noisy. There is a good mix of tables and chairs and comfy leather arm chairs for lounging over coffee. The tables could be cleared and tidied a bit quicker during busy times. Been back a couple of times since our first visit and want to pop in to try the breakfast one morning.overall a decent quality cafe with good friendly service.

Caribbean curry needed to be returned to kitchen as it arrived tepid, and it was very bland - not at all fruity or spicy as described on menu. In addition to this, l left with a very sticky sleeve and underside of trainers where a spill hadn’t been hadn’t been cleaned properly.

Arrived at the premier inn to stay away for work, went to the brewers fayre. I walked in and was told they have a limited menu due to shortages of food. Wasn't given a menu of the limited menu even just habit of a4/a5 bit of paper so we could see what was on offer. We then sat for around 15-20 minutes before someone came over to ask for drinks and they only came over because we prompted to do so. After drinks and food was ordered drinks turned up a further 15 minutes later and again I had to go to the bar to get it. If the restaurant was busy I would understand however it was empty. I ordered the big stack burger and it came out scorched with the tiniest dollop of sauce in the burger. The second night we weren't greeted at the door we had to wait 10 -15 minutes before someone came and took us to our seats. Overall not great, which is a shame as I have eaten at brewers fayre before and it's really good service and food. So I'm putting this experience to a "bad week".
