There was a great selection of great value food here with special deals and afternoon discounts. I had fish and chips with baked beans and a pint of Stella Artois followed by a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and Belgian chocolate sauce and a coffee with free refills for just under £12. The service was extremely prompt and the staff were friendly and attentive. I have only marked The Falcon down for atmosphere because of a couple of inebriated customers and a group of slightly loud younger people but that may just have been unfortunate timing. One section of the pub was cordoned off due to a leak but I'm sure that will have been resolved since the Easter holiday weekend.

I'm going to give it a 2 star because the manager asked me to leave after my meal due to the fact that i pressed a button to unlock the door to give me access to the outside tables. This door was stuck and i tried it multiple times. Then i looked around and i noticed a button (which is not red, not covered and it does not look like an emergency button at all) , related to the door. I did not read that it should only be used in a case of an emergency. Also i did not hear the alarm if it actually triggered nor people around me panicked or left. Anyways it should not be exposed to public that easily if it should only be used in case of an emergency. I tried to explain that to the manager that it was a misunderstanding but the manager was very unreasonable.

Stayed in High Wycombe for Carabao Cup Final as London too expensive, had a nice meal and drinks in there before the match before getting the train, after we came back to Wycombe after the match I tried to get a drink only to be told I wouldn’t be served as I was a Liverpool fan. Bar staff said that an incident occurred which I can appreciate, but when there were multiple Opposition Fans continuing to drink in there it felt very unfair. Double standards.

The pub had a good vibe and the food was good. We sat near the downstairs toilet which being the only place to sit we sat. All was OK for a while. But we noticed the stream of local men using the toilet because they didn't want to use the upstairs. After a while the toilet began to stink badly if urine so we moved to the back of the room. 2 sets of customers moved as the smell was so bad that we even moved again. What was a toilet meant for those who cudnt use the stairs became the main one for everyone to use. We heard a couple complain that it was putting them off their food. After our final move to escape the smell I went to the bar and complained about it. He said he would go check but I never saw him go in and people were still using it so I guess they were not fussed. I thought disabled toilets were for those who were nit for those who were lazy. It was left unlocked so was the toilet highway. I would visit again but would not sit near the top again.

Needed a coffee break whilst on our way to see some hedgehogs in St Tiggywinkles and High Wycombe was a natural stop for us. And so The Falcon would lure us into it's clutches for a hot wet. Another Wetherspoons offering but there'd be no need for a burger or a curry on our visit. We simply needed that coffee and ordered it thirstily. The pub was nothing special, nothing to write home about, nothing to remember, nothing remarkable, nothing other than what you expect from a 'Spoons offering. It does the job, you get what you order without breaking the bank and you get to walk across some truly dreadful carpet on your travels to a vacant table.

Old 18th century town centre pub in high Wycombe. Well restored by Wetherspoon but retaining all its historic features, especially the wood wall panels and fireplace. Usual Wetherspoon menu and good selection of drinks. Gets busy at lunchtime as it's right in the old high street near the Georgian buildings and only 3 min from the Eden Centre. Staff were efficient and friendly although a bit overwhelmed by the numbers of diners and drinkers at lunchtime. Update 7/9/24 : Still great value shown by how busy it was on a Saturday afternoon. Another Wetherspoons I've previous been to but didn't review. A medium sized branch in the middle of High Wycombe Town Centre. Now the only branch in High Wycombe after the William Robert Loosely closed a few years ago. A short walk from Eden Shopping Centre/Bus Station and the Train Station. Pub was not overly busy when I visited. Although trade did pick up during my visit. Ordered a Vegetarian Breakfast and a pint of Stowford Press and Blackcurrant. Total cost £7.38. The pint arrived within about a minute of ordering, with the Breakfast arriving in about 8 minutes. However, the sausages were missing, as per the image. Had to chase the server for them. Although to be fair, they did arrive within a few minutes of asking. Breakfast was of good presentation but lukewarm. Despite the minor hiccups, still one of the cheapest places for food and drink in High Wycombe.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the staff at this establishment. One member was particularly passive-aggressive, swearing and putting her hand in my face when I attempted to address her behavior. This was my second unpleasant encounter here. During my first visit, I received a burger with an almost non-existent amount of sauce. When I requested more, the staff refused, which I found very odd. I'm not sure who is managing this place, but I doubt they will stay in business for long if this continues. I'm relieved I can warn others about the rude treatment and avoid wasting their time and money here.

Had the fish and chips on a Friday night with friends. They had the ultimate burger. My fish and chips came pretty quick, a good portion, which was "just enough". Came with a wedge of lemon which is a nice tough. Batter was really good, but honestly the fish didn't have a lot of taste. As with all Wetherspoons, sauces etc are available from a different table and it's great to be able to fill the plate with as much sauce as needed and not from the small packets. I paired my fish and chips with erdinger low alcohol. Total price was around £10. Bargain. Rest of the pub is now looking a little tired and could do with a bit of a refurbishment. Small outdoor area which was fully packed, so no choice than to sit inside.
