The staff were very friendly and helpful. However my panini was dry and burnt and very small with hardly any salad. My friends jacket potato was dry and served without any salad. Very disappointing for this new restaurant.

Visited restaurant and was appalled by staff serving! There were two persons one didn't stop running their hands through their beard and the other one was placing their hands both sides of their hair and smoothing it back, this was like an obsession it was done so often,I didn't eat my food and left something needs to be done about that pair a bit of hygiene training wouldn't go a miss.

Called in for breakfast. Very interested girl on till. Wonder what she will be like at the end of her shift.Food was tasty but disappointed overall when the flat mushroom was just 3 segments that did not make a 'whole' and part of my dry and overcooked bacon rasher was missing. Had to pay extra for toast and over £2 for a small cup of tea.Very poor value for money. The total bill of £9.35 represents a real rip off. One positive was the waitress who brought my food was cheerful and welcoming.

Llevé a mis tías a almorzar aquí hace unos días.

For Mother's Day we tried booking a table. We called a total of 7 times, eventually speaking to staff who told us that the kitchen was too busy to book us in. I gave up and decided to go down there ourselves and chance it. The food is overpriced beyond belief considering how long we had to wait for it and the overall quality of it. The staff were rude towards other customers and even their own members of staff I noticed. Won't be returning anytime soon!

Visited with my family for a light lunch. Ordered food, £6.50 for a panini!! Then after being sat for 15 mins we were informed that they had run out of wraps for the kids meals and panini’s so we had to re-order. We’re not apologetic at all!! The food arrived after a further 25mins and was wrong. We had ordered tuna for the kids but they were given ham! When we informed the waitress that they should be tuna. We were told that they don’t do tuna in the kids meal! Again we said tuna is what was ordered she just said the same and walked off!! Terrible customer service, poor value for money & coffee that cost more than costa!! Don’t waste your time & money.

Gluten free products didn't appear to be openly advertised but the cashier was very helpful with her knowledge of what actually was available . We had fish and chips made with gluten free flour and sparkling water...the batter was crisp and light The fish inside white and flaky. Mega hot as well. This was served with chips and peas..these fairly ordinary but the fish made up for it. Will visit again.

Queued for ages with my 4 children. Was hoping to purchase the children's lunch boxes but there was hardly anything on display. An extremely poor choice. When i asked the manager if there was anything else that could be displayed (I was struggling to make up the number of items required for the deal!) I was told "no, that is all there is". His attitude was 'i cant really be bothered...' Thankfully another member of staff (who was bothered about good customer service) confirmed that there were other items that were included in the deal and that should would go and get them....The ball play area was always included within the lunch box price - this was not the case this time. It was now a paid for extra which was disappointing and made it a very pricey experience. Such a shame as we used to enjoy this place, sadly no more. We wont be returning :-(

I like the wyevale centers set up. The flowers are beautiful this time of year, and here are very good quality. The cafe was smaller than some but well appointed. I had a lovely chilled drink and cheese scone. The choices seemed quite wide, and the staff pleasant enough seeing how hot they must have been. Only complaint needed more air con, but everyone struggled in today's heat.

We visit here quite often to look around the centre and our grandchildren visit the indoor play area attached to the restaurant. The restaurant is very spacious but the service is poor and the prices are high. We usually visit on a week day when it is quiet and there often more staff behind the server than customers waiting but they do mot seem to have any organisation. They eventually bring food to your table but on every occasion this has been at least twenty minutes after ordering and we are talking sandwiches not cooked food. The coffee ordered is long gone by then. The restaurant tables in this area are never set up properly although this is where a lot of people are eating. The tables are rarely cleared from this area and when your food eventually arrives they tend to fail to remove used crockery etc. The rest of the garden centre is great but management need to sort out this area and does not warrant the prices charged.

We paid a visit to Wyevale Garden Centres in Chartham and decided to try out their cafe. Our experience with the staff, service and food was a positive one. Our breakfasts came out pipping hot and nicely presented. Tea was good and place was clean.Admittedly, on occasion some Centre staff can be quite abrupt and their customer service attitude can be appalling. Some customers in there can also be a bit strange as well.Generally speaking most people are pleasant.

The food isn't amazing but it's very good for it being a little garden centre cafe. The cakes are wonderful and there's always a great selection. A bit overpriced but you pay for the great service and the whole experience of using the soft play, doing a bit of shopping etc, it's a day out. I was on a strict diet once and asked if they could do me some lemon in the sparkling water and they sorted it straight out. Took my toddler here to see Father Christmas too and I thought the food was very good and it was organised very well - very good value for money. They do decaff and herbal teas too which is great as I'm intolerant to caffeine.

This garden centre cafe, has lots of potential as it is light and bright, the food is good but on the expensive side. It has the extra bonus of having a separate kids play area. The play area is relatively cheap and the proceeds go to charity as far as I know! The only thing is that the staff are not particularly welcoming. I get the feeling that this stems from one particular member of staff who might be the manager (not sure), a middle aged lady with brown eyes and blond highlighted hair. She is unfriendly, unapproachable and actually can be outright rude in her interaction with the customers. It's a shame really as I like the garden centre very much, it has a lot to offer and the kids love going there as there is an aquarium were you can look at and purchase fish for a fish tank. There are lots of other things to buy other than stuff for the garden. There are an aray of gifts that can be purchased. The whole experience would be enhanced if that particular member of staff was to actually remember that she is indeed in the service industry and interaction with customers is vital.

We tried the special offer of two main meals from the specials board for £12. These had to be ordered at the counter, where the assistant then asked whether we wanted sauce. It would have been helpful if we had been told what was available as there were no sauces on view. Cutlery had to be picked up at the end of the counter, but apparently they were having a "knife crisis" so we waited while more were fetched from the kitchen. The tables were quite attractive and well spaced, but were not wiped between customers and ours was sticky, The food took about half an hour to arrive although the assistant did apologise for the delay. The ham, eggs and chips looked much as you would expect. The sausage, mash and red wine gravy was served in a large soup plate. The coiled sausage was sitting on two piles of mashed potato in a moat of thick, reddish brown gravy, which I personally found far too salty. On top of the sausage were some green seeds, maybe sunflower, and on top of those weresome warm wilted bits of greenery, possibly cress. Some of the staff were trying hard to be helpful but it was not a particularly enjoyable experience. .

Nicely presented eating area, not a restaurant really more of a cafe, some self service but others you order from the counter. Food takes an age to arrive, service is slow and not always as polite as it should be, and the prices are astronomical (the play area costs extra) all of which adds up to the feeling of being fleeced at every opportunity. There is potential here to improve. School report: must try harder!

Had a very good "afternoon tea" consisting of ham & cheese sandwiches, fresh scone, Cornish clotted cream & jam and a small cake which was beautifully presented on a three-tier stand on 28/06/14. The service was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return for another "afternoon tea" again. The only criticism I have is that restaurant area is looking very tired and in need of a refit and not just a cosmetic paint job. Be good if they could change the layout to get away from the “canteen” feel.

Took my 14 month old there this week. I purchased items for myself and took snacks for baby because they do not serve anything suitable for her to eat. Told that I was not allowed to give my baby food from home. All food must be purchased from restaurant. I explained the situation but they persisted. Tried to purchase children's meal later on (drink, sandwich and 3 items - rather expensive and difficult as baby does not eat sandwiches or salty crisps). No sandwiches on display so they had to make some especially which they moaned about. Took forever and by the time they came out my baby had lost interest. Will not be going again.

Clean, plenty of tables and chairs, bright and airy, modern and functional. The food's inexpensive but standardised, but this is intended as a place where shoppers can take a break for lunch, a snack or just a tea or coffee - it's not supposed to be The Ritz. On that basis it's fine and I have no complaints. What else would you expect from a restaurant in a garden centre?

My daughter and I were gifted afternoon tea as birthday presents, and what a treat it was. The service was prompt, and attentive, and the food was delicious. Brasserie ABode is in a super location, in the heart of Canterbury, and the whole experience was absolutely splendid.

We had a voucher for carvery at £6. We had never been before. When we arrived we felt a little lost as did not know the procedure. However once we found someone to help we relaxed and went to the bar to order the carvery. We could have ordered at the table, by using a barcode, but as we are in our seventies, and not too computer savvy we went to the bar. The carvery was lovely. Beef was cooked as i like it, although as it was a new joint they brought out, it was a little fatty. The turkey was delicious. We were very happy as there were brussel sprouts and swede mix which we love. We really enjoyed the meal. The only thing we left on our plates was the beef fat. Otherwise we ate everything else on our plate.
