The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Nice little traditional friendly pub centred in the Carfax, Horsham. Enjoyed the beer and everything was clean and tidy. Worth a visit if your in the town

There were 5 of us, all friends. We had different meals. The food we thought was average. They do not do French Fries - what a shame. The service was excellent. Pity on emeal was forgotten and had to remind staff. That should not happen.

What was a good night meeting friends got rather spoilt when you check your spend on your bank account next day with tap and pay! Same two drinks pint and a half of Perroni lager, 3 different prices ! £ 10-10, £11-30, £13-10 ( this was a cash transaction and gave £ 15-00 cash got £1-90 back!

We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday. You get a buzzer that alerts you when it's free to go to the carvery. There are 4 meats to choose from, 6 or 7 vegetables, plus lovely gravy and sauces. And really lovely Yorkshire puddings. We all enjoyed our meal, and only 3 of us had room for a dessert, we had the ice cream. A Really enjoyable time, and good value

Great little costa coffee shop tucked away in the heart of Haywards Heath. Exceptional service and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere and to it all off, the flat white is always on point:))

Popped in for a birthday treat lunch and it was certainly a treat. Jason , great host . Attentive and welcoming. Lovely chef came out to chat (sadly didnt catch their name ) .Food beautiful, cooked just right , Hot and nicely presented not just lobbed on the plate like in some places. Great value for money. Will deffo be back.

This is more of a heads up for people, friends of ours are getting married there this week, we booked a room with some wedding code rubbish they told us to use. If you’re getting married here don’t give your guests the code! It’s a complete joke we’re unable to attend due to the children being ill, the code is basically a way for them to make money as it’s a non refundable rate! 1: it makes the rooms cost more then normal 2: if you book normally you can cancel up to 4pm the day before! As I’ve just found out they’ve took £162 out of my account for a room I’m not even going to stay in nor am I able to attend! Steer clear of this place, their customer service team couldn’t give a toss they just take your money!

Great spot with amazing food, top tier steak. Great evening spent, wonderful place. Will visit again soon in the near future.

We visited The Ferryboat after our Father Christmas experience down the road from there. We had a table of 6 adults and 7 children. All of us loved every bit of our meal, in fact it was delicious. The staff were fantastic, especially Ken who made sure our order was correct and he was great with the kids. My parents are moving to Hayling Island in the New Year and we have bought them vouchers to celebrate their move with a delicious meal here. Lisa & Edwina made these prior to our visit so they were ready for us. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, food is delicious and location is beautiful, we will be back very soon :)

Cometí el error de visitar este restaurante para el almuerzo del domingo con mi esposa e hijos. La comida es terriblemente mala. La mesa de entrada del ‘mercado francés’ era un asunto lúgubre y lúgubre de comida húmeda que había sido desalojada del comedor principal y desplumada en una puerta junto a la barra. Los platos principales no mejoraron. El filete de mi hijo estaba frío, todos nuestros pudines Yorkshire estaban fríos (al igual que los reemplazos), mi pollo se recalentó seco y fue acompañado por un pequeño tazón de salsa blanca que no pude identificar. El profiterole gigante fue un ejercicio de cómo no actualizar la cocina clásica francesa. Lo que debería haber sido pastelería choux ligera y ventilada era un gofre de frisbee, no es agradable en absoluto. El servicio prestado por C, no quiero usar su nombre completo, fue simplemente grosero. Se lo mencioné mientras pagaba la cuenta y me dijo que estaba equivocado. Me fui y no volveré. El desafío para marcas como hotel du vin, es cómo aferrarse a lo que construyó su marca. En esta interacción se puede esperar que esta cadena se una al creciente grupo de compañías de Mike Ashley que son llevadas a la UCI después de una caída en desgracia pública.

Disappointing. We both had the Turkey roast which included Yorkshire pudding. Mine was half black as it was burnt having to leave the burnt parts. Why put that on my plate? Both meals were luke warm not hot. We had the 2 course meal but paid extra for a bolw of vanila ice cream with 2 spoons to share. This time it was the cookie which was black/burnt half of the cookie. Again why give that to us? Disappointing meal. Brought it to the attention of the supervisor.

The staff is unwelcoming and unhelpful. I asked a waitress for help to order. I was told I needed to order via app and at the same time move tables. Might as well asked me to leave. Disservice is what you get. Very unpleasant way to start the day. Her demeanor was careless to say the least.

The staff were nice and lovely sitting out in the sun but the food was pretty bad.. the chips were decent but the sandwiches were absolutely awful, stale dry packet bread and the crab did not taste at all fresh, despite being by the sea I assume from a tin and rather tasteless. And serving it with roast beef crisps???! Really bizarre

We visited broadstairs on a cold Tuesday as a day out for my birthday. We have drank here before but never eaten so today decided to give it a go. Food was lush, view (even though grey) was lovely and the service was amazing. We were served by Hermis who noticed without us saying that it was my birthday (I had a tiny badge on) he sang happy birthday to me which really made my day. We will definitely come back after the service we received. Thanks to everyone there 😊 I tried to add a photo but it took to long to upload !
