I chose the vegan lasagne and was very disappointed with it. It was very dry and quite tasteless. It was served on a small plate with a large portion of big chips and salad. It was difficult to cope with and needed a bigger plate. Would definitely not have this dish again. We ordered the biscoff ice cream from the sweet menu and the waiter said he had just washed out the ice cream machine. He should have taken that item off the menu, if he didn't want people to request it. With lots of moaning, he let us have one each finally. His behaviour was not acceptable. I live locally and may not return to the San Clu.

My daughter and I found this cafe by accident. Here are our thoughts. 1. too small to allow dogs indoors. 2. could do with a bit of a refresh. The chair pads were stained and there were grease stains up the wall by our table. 3. toilet was very clean but on the first floor which meant climbing some very steep steps. Not disabled friendly. However my daughter who is vegetarian had a really good choice of foods and thoroughly enjoyed her meal. The young staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The coffee was delicious as was my hummus platter with Greek salad. The prices were good and I would highly recommend but I think it could be even better with a bit of a refurb. Didn't get to see the garden as it was too hot to sit outside but from the photos it looks really nice.

We had a 3 course meal here and it was very good. Starters of Chicken and Shiitake Mushroom terrine with Parma Ham and veloute cauliflower. Main courses of Pork Belly, Cavolo Nero and Apple Crumble and Apple Sauce was very good. The french wine we had was full bodied and tasty and the desserts of cheese board and passion fruit cheesecake was very good.

A really friendly local pub with welcoming staff and a dog-friendly bar. The drinks were good and the food was great. The pie of the day was delicious, and all our party enjoyed their meals including a pizza, scampi and a burger. Reasonably priced, good food and a friendly atmosphere

Very disappointing visit as used to be a lovely pub. No precautions in place for covid - no details being taken from visitors and just 1 small token bottle of hand sanitiser on the bar. Big groups of very young people (made me feel old in mid-30s!)with no attempt at social distancing. Toilets were dirty and smelly. Won't be going back!

Went here for lunch. The drinks were great and the kids' meal was good, but the other 2 meals were not. Soggy pale pasty warmed in the microwave and tastless sausages. If you want a side of chips, sure, but that will cost you £5.95! I won't order food in here again.

Recharge Cafe, Ground Floor. Went here with a friend for lunch. We wanted some quiche which looked very tasty. It was stone cold. Asked if it could be put in the microwave. THEY DON’T HAVE A MICROWAVE. So they were tasteless. Wanted some saucers for our cups of coffee. THEY DON’T HAVE ANY SAUCERS. This is Mercedes Benz. Not some little greasy spoon. Disgraceful. Don’t bother.
