The best restaurants in South East

Definable a Locals' local. No food offered but you are welcome to bring in your own as long as you tidy up. Very busy most evenings with a noisy crowd doing village activities.

We have been wanting to come here for a while. Left feeling underwhelmed after reading great reviews. The jerk chicken wrap was lovely. Curried goat had nice flavour but wasn’t really a curry, looked like it had been under the heat lamp for a while. Mac n cheese was just pasta and sauce. Lovely rum.

Amazing cocktails and service by Tulip. Came in for a late night cocktail and was greeted with great service and very tasty cocktails.

Came in today with as a party of 4 for my partners birthday, couldn’t fault a thing - friendly service, we brought my partners parents who have never been - they loved the food! Food is always top notch here!

Service was lovely and friendly but the food did not live up to the price they were charging very over cooked burgers chips over cooked and jacket potatoes like bullets the milkshake also lacked flavour

I visited here yesterday pretty close to closing time, I was still provided with excellent service and the jerk chicken and rice and peas were both perfect, I definitely recommend this place for it's flavour and it's portion sizes. Id also suggest booking your food in advance as it gets very busy and a few things were sold out towards the end of the day

We visited here a year ago and it was very good, but last night was a disaster. We were greeted by a very surly woman who was quite rude. I wanted Tom Yam soup first, then my starter and then my main. I was told that I would have to have the soup and starter together as the chef left at 9pm. Given it was 8pm I didn't see the problem! The server had absolutely no idea about allergies (my partner is severley allergic to shellfish). And she made no effort to answer our questions. To be safe my partner ordered vegetable spring rolls. They were still frozen (literally freezing cold with ice crystals). They were taken away with no apology and no offer of replacement. At the end of the meal the male waiter asked "everything OK" and we said no and listed the issues. He said "thank you for feedback". He made no effort to ask what they could have done better and no offer to compensate for the disappointment or the frozen food. Afraid we won't be back.

We have seen this café many times when we're walking around town , today we thought we would pop in ! What we experienced was a very high customer standard of service , we considered this to be a reason to place this high on our places to visit again , The food , Chips , Egg and Bacon cooked to perfection , no grease in sight , couldn't get the tomato ketchup out of the little sachet, wasn't any issue with that ... We can see why this café is well used , it's quality pure quality .

Always excellent food and great staff, friendly atmosphere. One of my favourite places to eat.
