Just the BEST pizza for miles….. can’t get enough of these!!! Importantly, they are consistently good. Not had a bad one yet. They get the ‘burnt’ edges just right…. Keep doing what you do. Thanks Updated. Still the best pizza - can’t fault them

Take away one pepperoni and one anchovy. The pepperoni one was absolutely delicious. Anchovy was tasty but olive stones were broken so it wasn’t the easiest to eat. Overall highly recommend

So so good as always. So lucky we have this amazing restaurant on our doorstep. We had a Peperoni tonight with their amazing green salad as a takeaway for a Saturday night treat.

They squeezed us in last minute and were very lovely about it. The food was great and very tasty. The staff friendly and helpful, very attentive. Had a lovely time and enjoyed the food. Thank you very much. Would definitely recommend eating here.

Fresh food, spotless restaurant, good location - all the ingredients for a pleasant Saturday night out. However the menu is very small and no provision for children - no children's options or sizes and food all catering for adult tastes - very salty / garlicky / spicey. Also at a high table, which doesn't work for little legs. There is 1 vegan option and a "take it or leave it" approach to service.

Visited here for the first time last night for my birthday. The service and food were amazing. Would highly recommend. Even the side salad was exceptional. Will definitely visit again! ☺️

The food was delicious, excellent pizza. I had a margarita, and my wife had mushroom and gorgonzola (and I had a slice of hers). Both were absolutely delicious, and not unreasonably priced. I did however take issue with ordering a black coffee and being presented with the worlds smallest espresso. There was so little coffee in the cup I don't think it would constitute a sip. You could collect all of the coffee on the end of a cotton bud and still have cottony room to spare. And £2.60 for a diet coke, to then be presented with a can, is a bit of a joke. Also, I feel the service could've been better. Wait staff did not check in at any point, and when it came to paying the bill they were very difficult about splitting the bill (there were 5 of us in the party and we wanted to pay seperately). The waitress was flummoxed, and then the chef told us to do our own maths if we wanted to pay separately. I am capable of addition, but surely it's not hard to split the bill for us if we ask. In a nutshell, food was great, but drinks were a bit scammy and service could've been better.

The food was fresh and delicious the portions were generous. I took my two kids (10 and 12) and they loved it too, taking left overs home. They were a staff member down and this was explained to us that things might take a little longer. Nearly every table was taken. The atmosphere was lovely and great selection of drinks too. When I'm in westgate on sea again, I will be visiting.

I’m Italian and can confirm pizza here is absolutely delicious, great menu and fresh ingredients, well done guys! Stopped here randomly over a weekend stay and I’m so glad I found this hidden gem. Great atmosphere and lovely staff, me and my wife arrived quite late yesterday evening for takeaway and everyone was really welcoming. I also had the dark ice chock 🤤 so yummy ! We’ll be back for sure

We had a recent evening here and came back again the next week as we enjoyed it. Food is really nice.

We had a great meal here tonight on Valentine’s Day. The food was tasty and extremely good value. We were served in the corner window by a lovely and kind waitress who was thorough and helpful throughout, despite how busy the restaurant was due to the occasion. We will be returning soon.

Honestly the best pizza ever. This place seriously knows what they’re doing in terms of flavour. Wish I could go every night… pepperoni pizza is to die for and their tomato base is unmatched.

We have been to Hot Wood Pizza 40+ times, it is by far our favourite pizza place ever, and probably our favourite restaurant. The pizza is always outstanding, cooked to perfection with loads of toppings. The pepperoni, mascarpone & chilli honey pizza is my all time fave. We’ve tried to recreate it at home but it’s just never the same! Thanks for all the pizzas and parmesan salads guys, we love it!! 🍕🥗

What a disappointment! Pizza are okay. The seating area was very cramped and the chairs extremely uncomfortable. The manger/owner didn't seem interested when I mentioned it. Overall it was an average meal although some friends loved their pizzas. But what upset us the most was the fact they didn't take cash! Running a business in these strange times is proving difficult. We were shocked at the owners attitude to this issue. Card payment or go...! So, go it is... shame as we eat in Westgate a lot and would make it a regular visit if he wasn't so rude and regimented. Our experience would have been far better without the manager.

Calm, good atmosphere, and a nice menu, slightly different from the norm. The place just makes you feel relaxed, great pizza.

The pizza oven is gas fired and the pizzas are ok… Being called ‘Hot Wood’ I was kind of led to believe it would be a traditional wood fired oven but not really a traditional Italian pizza and I wouldn’t rush back. Average at best

The BEST pizza I've ever eaten. This is an almost weekly treat for my husband and I! The pizzas are out of this world, from the sourdough base to the delicious, well thought out toppings... oh, and the tiramisu (it converted me from a coffee hater to a tiramisu lover!) Please don't ever change!!!

What an absolutely fantastic place, we visited for a Saturday night dinner and it was perfection. The staff and atmosphere is so welcoming and chilled. The tomato and onion salad was a show stopper for me, such perfect balance of flavours . The pizza was just delicious with enough to take home a few left over slices. The cherry on the cake for this experience was the choc ice, white chocolate raspberry ripple, wow oh wow you will never taste anything soooo good! Cannot wait to go back!

Stayed in a local air bnb and walked to this pizza place. Decor and ambience is nice. Bit sloppy on service is only complaint. We went in at 7pm on a Saturday and hadn’t booked. Waitress said could we sit at window bench and we assumed more people would be coming that had reserved as it was a Saturday. So fair enough we thought. But we were in there until 9pm And half the tables remained empty. Would’ve been nice to sit at a proper table given the place was half empty. We ordered drinks and our pizzas. After 20 mins waiting we had to ask the waitress where our drinks were and she went off and 3 mins later came back with them even though we could see here standing at counter not doing anything for most of that time. We also ordered starters of garlic bread and olives, and Although they were superb they came out after 30 mins but then our pizzas came out 5 mins later. We had only just started our starters. Would’ve been nice to actually finish our starters before pizzas came out. That said, notwithstanding, the pizzas were Superb and really tasty. So food 5/5, service needs some refining so. 3/5. but waitress was pleasant and attentive enough that said. Just needs those final touches to compliment the food

Meatballs are amazing. Any pizza, doesn’t matter as they are all superb. Choc ice to finish. Mwah!

sensational next level pizza ...no BS ! the owner clearly is passionate about food and uses the highest quality ingredients because the results are truely superb. The sides are also really well thought through and compliment the mains wonderfully. There is always a lovely relaxed vibe day or night with great music in the background. You must visit!

This is a really badly managed restaurant with absolutely no regard for customer service or satisfaction. My friends and I had a miserable experience in here. The menu wasn’t written correctly so two of our four pizzas were not what we expected at all through no fault of our own. When I complained about mine the manager accepted no responsibility and I was made to pay for a pizza I would never have ordered had the menu sign posted the ingredients correctly. The pizzas were small, soggy and sloppy with burnt crusts and scant toppings. I can only assume the people who have enjoyed eating here haven’t ever had a decent pizza. If you like good food and good customer service avoid this place at all costs. I left hungry and angry.

Truly one of the nicest pizzas I've ever had. I went with the mushroom, garlic and gorgonzola. Crust not too thin or too thick. Nice and crisp. Service was great too. Nice atmosphere and decent music to boot. Very enjoyable experience.

Popped in on the off chance- agree with comments re service- staff seemed pretty disinterested. Got take away Not great pizza Chewy Doughy No crisp to it Soggy Too much sauce For what it is - overpriced

One of the most authentic places around and delicious

We had a lovely lunch here, the staff were friendly and welcoming even when our little one smashed a glass they were ok with it. The starters were delicious as were the pizzas. I would think to make it yummier some chilli oil on the tables to put on your pizza to make them a bit tastier would be a nice touch.

We had takeaway from Hot Wood Pizza. The service was great and the staff were really friendly. It was really easy to order from their website and the pizzas were ready at the time they said. Fresh out the oven! The pizzas themselves were super tasty, a lovely thin base and perfect crust. The burrata and rocket gives you a whole burrata in the middle. So delicious!

Just had a take away pizza from here. Oh my god, I am absolutely in love. Insanely good pizza, the sauce, the base, the cheese. Will def be coming here to eat in ❤️

Deffo the best pizza around. The flavours is just not like the "simple flavour for the masses" kind of pizza. Its far, far better than that.

Super tasty pizzas (and garlic bread was the best I've ever had!), outside courtyard was absolutely charming. Service was brilliant - as was the house red wine! Can't fault it!

Booked a table for 19:30, but on arrival my booking was not in the diary - Thankfully, there was room in the restaurant to accommodate me; otherwise I would have been turned away. Not a way to do business, which is a shame as the food was top quality !!!

The pizzas here were amazing which is a shame as the customer service was extremely bad, no check back or asked if we would like more drinks, when we asked if we could get dessert we were told the kitchen shut at 9.30. It was 9.37 yet no one told us this before. AND WE WERE THE ONLY TABLE IN THERE ALL NIGHT! Hygiene is a zero as the server was scratching her face and lips but never washed her hands and then sat on the work service in the kitchen! 👍🏻

LOVE Hot Wood Pizza, their well put together menu and attention to detail in the restaurant is great. We had the green beans and kimchi which we would highly recommend, pizza of course and a delicious honeycomb choc ice for dessert! Can't wait to go back some time

Excellent pizza, clean hygienic, helpful staff, good social distancing measures - sadly the customer before me did not feel any need to respect other customers or staff by wearing a mask. Thankfully I was able to wait outside in my car and the staff brought pizza out to me. Highly recommended and will order again.

Absolutely delicious! The cleanliness is of such high standard. The staff are welcoming and helpful especially Ashleigh ( the lady with the pink hair) is absolutely amazing and a credit to your business. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable especially with having a 1 year old she went our of her way even though super busy due to eat out to help out, she still made the effort to see if my little one was comfortable and needed anything! All the staff were amazing and you see the hygiene guidelines being met and the place is immaculate! Well done to u all we had a lovely evening thank you and see u soon

Really enjoyed our meal, all the pizzas tasted great, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and flavoursome and although a limited menu there was enough to choose from. A real asset to Westgate-on-sea! The only SMALL negative was the music which was too loud and not really fitting for the restaurant feel.
