Moved to Margate this weekend from London and came here for first night pizza. The girl who served me was so welcoming and chatty. She was awesome! The pizza was super clean and fresh and hardly any grease in the box by the time we had driven it home and eaten it. It was also MASSIVE. Definitely coming back and would highly recommend. Thank you 💙

Hands down some of the best pizza I’ve ever had

Attentive staff and good food. Lovely view. Had breakfast here, lunch and dinner on different days and all were very nice.

Easily the best pizza in Margate

Overcharged me 3 times the price for drinks, very rude when we questioned it. Refunded us once they realised the mistake. Then they gave us pepperoni pizza when we ordered vegi and refused to change it saying it was our fault. We have been vegetarians for years. Ending up just leaving

Eat here every month. Not any more. Really rude staff this time, burnt pizza with sarcastic chief, second one burnt on purpose. Dirty glasses and tables. Waitress slammed pizza on table. If your the boss it was 5:30 on the 29/08/24

I wish I could give this place a 0 rating because it was the worst experience ever. The girl on the phone was extremely rude. I ordered a pepperoni pizza, and it arrived very cold. I requested garlic sauce but received hot sauce instead, without any explanation. I wasted £35 for nothing. I do not recommend this place at all. I hope many potential customers see this review and choose not to order from here.

If you’re 2 people eating 2 slices, you might aswell buy a whole pizza. Same price, more pizza. We got the truffle pizza and that was a total let down. Too much parsley and not enough truffle oil. Not a good pizza at all. The sausage one was ok. Average I say it’s overpriced for the quality.

My group arrived at the end the day, and were sold the final 3 burnt pieces of pizza. We had to pick off most of the crust as it was black and inedible. I wish I asked for a refund in the moment because I could only eat a few bites of the pizza I was so excited to try.

We arrived at Palms ~30 minutes before close. They were just pulling a pie from the oven, and there were a handful of slices left for order. The staff looked clearly exasperated that we were there. We were told that they wouldn't be firing up any new pies, even tho there was plenty of time to do so. Instead we were offered a few slices of Margherita pizza. We were starving so we agreed. When the slices were served, they were so burnt thay they were inedible. They were super stiff and covered in burnt spots. And they were somehow lukewarm even tho they had been reheated. Honestly, any establishment that cares about its reputation would have never allowed those to be sold.

Just walked in and saw this place....! Great pizza, nice people. And next to tap for lagers and ciders, etc. So what's not to love about that experience... Just open on Fridays and Saturdays, so a bit out of the way for me... Otherwise, I'd be there very, very often...

It takes every last particle of self control that I possess to resist ordering a whole pie to myself every time I go here. Their standards and specials always exceed expectations with just the right extra touch. If this place were a literal hole in the wall that pizza came out of it would still be phenomenal. Fortunately it's also a great place to go for a sit, eat and drink too. Ideal for a sneaky slice on your way out or home and perfect for a lazy evening.

Since a young boy, my view was that no one out pizzas the hut. That all changed when i went here. Best pizza ive ever had.

The team went above and beyond to help us out when we got stuck with a fussy tired toddler 😅 thankfully he devoured the vegan marg - we got the whole pizza to share between 3 of us which was incredible.

Such a shame that I have to leave a rubbish review, my husband even has a T-shirt from here and we have been regular customers, mid week lunch, weekend and love supporting local, we live in Ramsgate and drive over. However won’t visit again. 3 weeks ago we visited ordered 8 slices 3 different flavours in the restaurant took 50 minutes and two customers who arrived after us ordered and were served whole pizzas before us so tonight we tried to order a whole pizza plus one slice because we knew there would be a wait. The girl behind the till said no pizzas! A pizza shop without pizza at 6.30 on a Saturday with 7 sit down customers in the restaurant and 4 members of staff! 3 in the kitchen and no pizza! No whole pizza! If you have a restaurant you need to be able to supply customers and not just Uber eats otherwise there is no point in a restaurant and having front of house staff! I have to say the girl who I’ve not seen before at front of house was rude! She knew it and when we left she tried to offer me a slice of pizza at the toilet! Which in itself is odd! I think she may have been trying to sell us the slices which were preprepared but should have also stated it’s a 30 minute wait for whole and we have these slices on offer and the flavours. Not no whole pizza!! It’s a popular place and waiting can be expected but stay consistent to what you offer. We won’t be back but consider if you can service demand with the number of ovens and how you prioritise sitting in customers and take out and ensure all staff member understand what the offering is. The menu states whole pizza, the only Uber eats option is whole so why when we request whole does front of house say no pizza!!

Happy belated 2nd birthday Palms Pizzeria! Over the last couple of years one of our favourite pizza places has been Palms, and most planned visits whenever in Kent. The slices are chunky, fat boys slim with the perfect no skimping on toppings. And what toppings! From classics like pepperoni and jalapeño, mushroom and truffle or fennel sausage with nduja and broccoli, to weekly meaty and non meaty specials, including collaborations that have often meant at home dinner plans go out the coastal window, for a pic n pizza mix of multiple slices! I hate to say it that we’ve become such fans as to be that crazy fan club couple donning matching his and hers, white and black Palms t-shirts. Shame, no shame when you’re shucking pizza down your throat and picklebacks instead of oysters. Too damn good! The team are always so so so nice, so whether you go half and half on a 20 incher or grab a multitude of slices like you were on a Margate fruit machine, you’ll be winning and be celebrating every day like it’s your birthday. Thanks guys!

Came and had a couple of slices, and came back the very next day for a few more. It's like a mix between that grab and go slice of Joe's, and those refined NY institutions like L'industrie, it's so light, airy, crispy, gooey, everything tastes fresh. Lovely gear. Helpful staff, nice space, quick service, good fun. Would inhale again. 🐶 Dog friendly too

Best pizza I've had in a looong time!

Went with my kids and granny. Very relaxed atmosphere. Owner is very friendly and excellent service. He even gave us free slice. Pizza itself great base bit crispy super tasty, how I like it! Fave is the fennel broccoli one and the edition of lots of parsley is 🤤 Would definitely recommend this place.

Great spot for a quick slice or for a full pie, right in the middle of 'The Centre' complex next to Curve Coffee. Pizza here is excellent whether you order a single slice or a whole pizza - I love grabbing a quick slice of margherita here after a coffee at Curve!

I’ve recently visited palms pizza with much anticipation, and was really let down by the service and the pizza. Me and some friends were visiting from London and decided to check out this place that another friend who lives in Margate recommended to us….and upon arriving, we were told that we had just arrived three minutes after the kitchen had closed, so we thought well ok, and discussed with the woman at the counter the possibility of taking a whole pizza that was displayed on the counter. We decided to take the pepperoni pizza, but as the pizza was not a complete 12 slice whole pizza, the woman recommended we can throw in another 4 slices to make it a whole pizza, so we said sure, and here’s where our experience gets strange. Apparently instead of just charging us for one whole pizza for a normal price, the woman charged us per slice, which instead of coming up for £24 and a bit extra for the understandable pizza fill-ins to make it 12 slices, she charged us £52 for the entire pizza. My mistake was that because I was with a group of people, I kindly swiped my card to pick up the tab, but when I walked out of palms, I realised I’d be charged so much! And to make matters worse, when I got home to eat the pizza, it was cold!!!! So fast forward to the next day, I decided to return and confront the woman who served me about the extreme and unfair price that she charged me. I explained that I felt that I was overcharged for the reasons being, she could’ve worked out a price to make up for the pepperoni being 8 instead of 12 slices, and I was very shocked how she tried to justify her selling me a whole pizza by selling me each slice separately. I explained that it didn’t make sense to sell me a nearly full whole pizza as separate slices, and she basically told me that I need to understand how she operates and how their business works, whilst I’m telling her from a customer point of view that the operation of the business shouldn’t be my concern. As a customer, I feel that she scammed me and lured me into a ridiculous deal, then tried to manipulate the story by saying because she sold me a half of a whole pizza, that I agreed to be charged per slice, when I didn’t. I feel I’ve been scammed by palms and treated as though I was not valued. There was not an inviting hospitality from the woman who served me, and she made me feel like I’d been robbed, for £52, that is the most expensive pizza I’ve ever paid for, and it was cold, nothing can justify this awful experience I’ve just had at palms. If you’re reading this, please be warned and beware of going into this place, they will try to sneak a deal past you and justify it by saying “well that’s just how we work” whilst leaving you regretting that you walked in there. Also, the pizza is very cold, I’d recommend trying another pizza place in town, such as GB’s or Mama Mia’s, their pizza is always banging and I’ve felt incredibly valued and looked after every time I’ve gotten pizza from them!

Ordered via Deliveroo, order was accepted at 12:26pm and cancelled at 13:12pm. It's certainly within opening hours as per Google and your website. According to Deliveroo the restaurant was closed. Tried to call the restaurant too, no answer while it shows open on Google/FB. Disappointing, especially with hungry kids counting the minutes waiting for the pizza to arrive 😒

Brilliant. Found this late one Wednesday evening, very glad we did. The food was brilliant, service excellent. Utterly unpretentious but if you want great pizza you won't find anywhere better.

Such a disappointing experience with Palms takeaway. We ordered a large pizza through a delivery app. When it arrived it was the wrong pizza although it said the correct pizza on the box so the error was at the restaurant and not the driver. I called to let them know that I can't eat the pizza as it's covered in Onions & I can't eat onions otherwise I would have kept the pizza. They told me the driver would come back with the correct pizza. To cut a long story short, after 5 calls to Palms chasing my food, 2 hours later my pizza eventually arrived, no apology from the staff & when I opened the box it had onions on it!! I took the pizza apart to remove the onions as I was starving at this point. When I started eating it, it tasted like they had put a bag of salt in it & the following morning I can still taste salt. Lesson learnt, I'll stick with Dominoes for deliveries from now on.

Super friendly staff The pizza slices are too die for. The crust and dough are divine, crunchy yet squishy. Tried 3 different slices, Margherita, pepperoni and Fennel sausage. The fennel sausage being my favourite. Their house lager paired perfectly too. Perfect place for a Friday treat

Fantastic slices of pizza. One of the best pizza bases we've ever had. Served by really lovely staff, alongside great beers and canned cocktails. Only visiting Margate from London but we will be back

Great pizza. Its something else worth trying like being in Italy. My son who is 6 has sensory issues loves it to 10 out if 10 he said even with herbs.

I was hangry 😭 While I’m sure the pizzeria serves amazing food I am disappointed to not be able to try it. Having called numerous times and driven a few miles to try what is described as the best pizza in Margate I was met with the shop completely locked and shut at 20:30. I now think business must have been closed from 20:15 when we initially called. Please don’t advertise you are open until 21:00 when you are not open until 21:00. I have wasted my time and money driving here. Highly disappointed.

Visited Margate, pretty much with the sole purpose of visiting this place, and it did not disappoint! Fantastic pizza, chill atmosphere, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Went here with my partner and got the 20" fennel sausage pizza, and we ended up taking quite a few slices home. Could not recommend this place more, and will definitely be visiting again.

Good pizzas and charming team. As a bit of a traditionalist, like the 'better known' pizzas, but then again love their creativity! They say p8zza needs to be eaten from the oven, and I agree, but fortunately, we were 3 minutes away back at home, so the mushroom garlic truffle 1/2 with a pesto, salami 1/2 got back hot, cooked well and. . tasty. Thanks for being there in Margate - Good pizza!!

Our favourite pizza spot in Margate! You can’t beat those 20” sourdough pizzas! Our fave is the pesto broccoli! Don’t forget the get dips for your crusts - our faves are the pineapple chilli Jam or the vegan mayo!

Me and my girlfriend absolutely love Palms, when they first opened, having been to New York and eaten at some of the city’s best Pizzerias, we were blown away with everything about this New York style pizza, the sauce, toppings and thin crispy base were next level. We haven’t ordered in a while and today we decided to treat ourselves, unfortunately the pizza we came to love seems to have lost its authentic New York feel. The base was quite thick and doughy which was rather disappointing, however the flavours still on point. Maybe just an off day? only time will tell as we will be returning. Hopefully we will come back to the pizza we fell in love with.

Shocking service, after waiting an hour for my pizza, I rung to chase up, only to be told that it had been delivered! Obviously not to me, and got told by palms the driver has taken it and this sort of thing happens all the time!!!! Don’t waste your time with sorry establishment!!!

So they asked me to buy another one!!! Shocking customer service! So I have no pizza and down £24 please do not use this poor establishment!!!!

Ordered via deliveroo, after two hours no update, just an ever increasing delivery time. After calling the restaurant, there were no apologies. Just an offer to refund, which at 9pm at night is not really a way of rectifying the situation. We’re hungry! We were quite reluctant to order again through the same service, as where is the guarantee it would arrive at all, and there was zero desire to make things right. Having eaten there before, I can 100% vouch for the pizza - it’s delicious. However, the customer service is appalling. No one seems to care less, or have pride in the food they’re serving. Basically, their pizza is too good to have people that couldn’t care less.

We had a work lunch here. It is not wood fired but it still is really good pizza probably one of the best I have had in Kent. They use proper Italian Ingredients like Caputo flour and San Marzano Tomatoes. I am not sure about putting Broccoli on the meat pizza so had without and you do get the fennel of the sausage coming through. Pepperoni with jalapenos was also top notch. Staff friendly and helpful. We shared a couple of pizzas and 3 big slices filled me up. Can be expensive if you starting having lots of alcohol but if you share a pizza and have soft drinks you can still have a reasonable priced lunch.

Delicious pizza with lovely ingredients and just a sprinkle of lemon juice... Absolutely scrumptious. The base is also the perfect thickness. You can have just one slice for a quick lunch on the go or a whole thing for a family dinner.
