The best restaurants in South East

Been over here for month now from Australia, and all I can say is it's the best breakfast I've had Quick and friendly service, good portions

Great food great service, but you can't choose who's eating dinner at the same time, very rude customers on next table, don't know how your poor waiters put up with it. Felt very sorry for staff. But we will be back as we enjoy your food too much

You can't do better than the Angel bar in Caversham. Staff are super friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Cocktails are excellent. Happy hour till 7pm. Love the place. Highly recommended.

Just had my Chinese takeaway it was fabulous really tasty and hot enjoyed it all will highly recommend.

Needed to be fed and rang on the off chance that they could feed us fairly late in evening. No problem, told to pop round ASAP. Friendly welcome on arrival. Excellent meal with 1/2 litre of wine in jug. Just about right. Sad news , they are closing in the new year and staff going back to the "Greek" in Maidstone. We are not islanders and only two places would dare the eat on the island, here and a little micro pub in Queenbourgh. :) Crying shame but classic case of use it lose it.

We left quite disappointed and also hungry (we all ordered the recommended amount) . I understand this is small plates however the portion sizes are ridiculous, £16 for 4 TINY pieces of fish?? And this is meant to be to share? We were basically eating sauce with rice… at that price point I would at least expect a small fillet. The flavours are really nice but the portion sizes are a massive let down. Don’t get me wrong, we eat out a lot and certainly do not mind paying for nice food however this is just ripping people off.

We had a delicious main course and dessert at our visit. The beer was lovely and the staff very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again.

Doesn't look much from outside, superb inside. Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere and lovely decor.

I came in on a Friday night nice and quiet table to myself food was absolutely yummy the price was a Steel my cocktails made lovely as well I will definitely come again when in town thanks guys

Love eating in the open market, tried Smorl’s this time, had the falafel salad bowl, the food was all very fresh and tasted amazing.
