Keyif | Turkish Mediterranean Cuisine in The Vale of Glamorgan

Went for a meal with my son and his fiancee. The food was outstanding from the starters where we shared a Tzatziki and Beetroot dip with fresh bread. The mixed grill was excellent as were their chicken and lamb dishes. The staff were friendly and were given some baklava after the meal which were divine. We will be back and I would highly recommend.

Have eaten in this resteraunt quite a few times and the food is fabulous . An impromptu decision to grab a takeaway from here didn’t dissapoint . We ordered two chicken shish wraps . And they were delicious. Packed with tender chunks of chicken . Salad and sauce accompanied by fries . Staff are super friendly and attentive . We even had a complimentary drink while we waited for our takeaway which was such a suprise but I think that’s their hospitality that a few other places in Penarth could learn from . Will definately be back for more x

Loved it - felt authentic and took us back to some of our Meditaerranean holidays with the style, the service and, of course the food itself. We had vegetarian dishes that were delicious and satisfying, the culinary highlight of our week away.

For us, this gave a lovely experience of Mediterranean food taking us back to holidays in that area. It all seemed authentic and every dish was delicious.

While visiting Penarth my wife and I lucky found this wonderful restaurant with great service and food. Never been to Turkey but have been to many Mediterranean restaurants. This is certainly as good as any I have visited in the states or Greece. We started the meal with the red house wine. It was very smooth and enjoyed it so much we got seconds! Enjoyed the soup of the day and the Meze Dips. We shared the seafood casserole. Glad we did as it easily satisfied us. The ended the meal with a traditional Turkish desert called Kunefe. It was fabulous. Also enjoyed a Capucino and Macchiato with desert.

First time trying keyif, friend of ours been, 5star was best turkish food Iv had Its also halal. Please double check only item that isn't halal steak. I would go again, kids love it enjoy it

Visited for dinner with family, Friday evening. Food: absolutely excellent, no other description. Starters included mucver and a mushroom dish - the latter was perhaps the best I've ever tasted, no exaggeration. Mains: a seafood casserole, a lamb stew and a mixed shish. Again, extremely tasty, the meat was superbly sourced and cooked. To accompany, we had a Turkish rosé wine: Lâl Kavaklidere. Recommended. Service was personable, friendly and efficient. Top marks there as well. All in all thoroughly recommended

We attended Keyif, Penarth for the first time yesterday evening to celebrate 2 birthdays, 2 couples and a very enthusiastic 1yr old🤣 We were greeted in a friendly manner on arrival, despite 1 of the persons we’d booked for being ill and 3 others having gone to the wrong restaurant 🤦🏻‍♂️ Much fuss was made of the baby by all the staff and she was quickly provided with a high chair. Some chips and bread quickly arrived for the baby to keep her happy😃 whilst we placed our orders - 2 x hot meze, 1 x mixed shish, 2 x Sarma Beyti chicken and 1 x Keyif Heavan chicken. When the starters arrived they were accompanied by some dips to go with the bread. All the food was very tasty and much enjoyed, very little remained in the plates🤣 None of us felt we could manage a dessert but we accepted the offer of complimentary baklava pieces which were tasty without being too sweet. To keep the baby occupied and to give us a few quiet moments the staff members often walked her around the restaurant where she introduced herself to other dinners and rattled a tambourine they provided. We all really enjoyed the meal and the service and will certainly be returning as there was many other items on the menu we fancied. Thanks a lot

We hired Keyif to cater for a large celebration party and they were beyond excellent. The food was delicious! We chose a variety from the menu and each piece was high quality and authentic. Throughout the party (and for days after) we received so many compliments on the food. The service from Mehmet and the team went above and beyond. They were extremely attentive and flexible in all aspects from the planning to execution and did everything possible to ensure the catering was a success, which it certainly was! I highly recommend Keyif and thank them all for their hard work, it made all the difference to our party. Thanks also for the warm welcome every time we are in the restaurant and we’re looking forward to coming for dinner sometime soon 😊

Excellent service, food exquisite. Well presented in very short time. Just delicious, tasty. You must try their chicken kebabs, traditional sweets and coffee.

Absolutely nailed every dish. Kofte was just as expected from a good Turkish restaurant.. but the chicken thigh Izgara was incredible.

Food is 10/10. However it’s overpriced compared to other places which serve similar food. I always drive extra mile to city road to save at least £10 per meal. Wish they were cheaper I’d go there more often

We've had two deliveries from Keyif recently and they have been excellent - really good Turkish food and very prompt delivery even on a Saturday! The range of mezes we ordered were delicious - lots of vegetarian and vegan options too which we appreciated, and for the omnivores the mixed grill was very tasty and a generous portion. Looking for excuses to order again 😁

We've eaten here a bunch of times now. Great quality food, especially for the price. Friendly staff. Decent wine list. Good atmosphere. Sure, you can pay loads more for a pretentious molecular gastronomic mushroom on a glowing cocktail stick. But if you want good wholesome food you can't do much better.

We Went to Keyif and tried Hot Mix Meze and Mixed Kofta. The food quality is good and service quality is best. They never disappoint always reliable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening in Keyif. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend the yoghurt lamb shish to any lamb lovers - a fair portion of tender lamb pieces complemented by creamy yoghurt and fresh tomato sauce👌

A big thank you to the owner and staff at Keyif. We had a problem with the car outside the restaurant. Our car had stopped & was very close to another parked car directly outside Keyif. We hoped to find the car owner in the restaurant to let them know what was going on, whilst we waited for roadside assistance. Turned out the car was owned by the restauranteur, who was extremely helpful. We were offered seats to wait inside in the warm & we quickly decided to eat at the restaurant whilst we waited. The food was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our unexpected meal out. The moussaka was delicious and very filling, the bread and dips were amazing, and the chicken was delightful, & everything was beautifully presented. Thank you for your kindness & patience over several hours whilst waiting on the roadside assistance. We look forward to vising again, hopefully there will be no car issues next time!

Went today in a party of 13 for a family dinner. I had requested the wrong number of seats – but this was not a problem… it was sorted! The restaurant owners accommodated us really well – we ate and drank royally and it was good value two. Definitely a recommend. Thank you very much Keyif restaurant!

The place was beautiful..the gentleman that greeted us was polite and was seated near the window. Our server took our order and we were allowed to taste the wine ..it was clean very lush decor.the food we ordered was a shared platter and some fries.we also was served some fresh baked bread.the shared platter was more that plenty for us the food served was fresh made and tasted delsious. Our wine was also very tasty. The bill was very reasonable and came with chocs which were very tasty...i would definitely tell my friends family about this place and go back again...

I had the sea food casserole and this was outstanding as usual ,my wife had the chicken casserole and enjoyed every morsel ,having eaten at every restaurant in Penarth since we moved here four years,Keyif is by far my favourite.

Nice restaurant, food was ok, but some of the dishes are a bit pricey. It's feels like a bit of a penarth tax, compared to Cardiff restaurants.

My first visit to Penarth for several years and indeed my first visit to this restaurant. Myself and wife popped in on a Friday afternoon and enjoyed a bottle of Turkish Red wine, starters and mains. The interior was very pleasant and the waiter was very polite and friendly. My main dish in fact Lamb Kofta was one of the best flavoured I have eaten for many a long time. In a world getting madder by the day it is wonderful to sit down and enjoy fine food and focus on what matters in life.

The food is very good, best Turkish cuisine I’ve had in the area. Takeaway service is prompt and friendly; I haven’t eaten in. Some dishes are rather expensive compared with London restaurants but the quality is consistently good and all the salads are fresh and fragrant. Plenty of options for vegetarians too.

If you are visiting penarth, you must eat at keyif at least once! Everything about this place was amazing - from the service to the food. We are a family of 6, all had different meals and each one was great. A real taste of turkey!

Big money small portions! Perfect place if you’re on a diet. Not recommended for a family of 4 who spent £78 and still needed snacks on our journey back to London! There’s pretty more restaurants down the road wish I had a look before entering this place! Customer service 0 No acknowledgement - nothing … food served and told to enjoy 😂 If you’re like us tourists in wales from London please avoid!

Delicious food!!! My husband and I came Here for a meal on a Friday afternoon and I can honestly say it was so so good!! We had a free starter and dessert with our coffee which was such a lovely gesture ! It was amazing Turkish cuisine and we are looking forward to our next visit x x x

The owner and his wife went over and beyond, I booked the restaurant for my daughters birthday, they supplied a beautiful birth cake at a moments notice and even put birthday banners up, also the food was absolutely delicious !! I can not recommend this restaurant enough. So, so friendly and can’t do enough for you !!

Sadly this is not a reflection of the food. We were very much looking forward to eating there as we have seen many good reviews. However, seeing that the restaurant opened from 12pm - 10pm Wednesday - Saturday, we made a long journey from Abergavenny area down to Penarth on Wednesday, aiming to visit the beach and have late lunch. We did not make a booking as we were unsure of what time we would arrive, and were prepared to wait accordingly. We were extremely disappointed to get there and find a notice in the window stating "Sorry, closed for maintenance" or words to that effect. We had checked Facebook before leaving to see if they were open and there was no mention of this closure on there, or on their website. Four very disappointed would be customers!

Amazing food and service. Visited for my Birthday with my partner and had the vegetable casserole which was delicious and served perfectly. It’s normally hard to get delicious veggie food at restaurants that’s actually healthy and tasty. Ate every last bit. Also the staff are lovely and service was fast. Might be our new favourite restaurant! Will definitely be coming again.
