We came here at a very awkward time after being turned down at the Farm Kitchen, it was 3pm, so we were the only ones there. We were still served. The food is really authentic and good, we shared everything between 3 people, we got 3 starters and two mains and we were really pleased.

What a beautiful cosy place, such an amazing atmosphere, wonderful staff, perfect service, good prices and very tasty food. Went there for son's birthday to have a little celebration dinner with friends, portions where big and food absolutely delicious and when we asked for a bill, they surprised us with little extra treat for bd boy, it was very nice of them. We are definitely coming there again. Thank you for good food and excellent service.

The restaurant has a beautiful decoration, it takes you directly to Greece. Nice traditional Greek music. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The food was so delicious. Very tasty and the lamb chops melted in my mouth. Chips are home made, and the traditional sauce as well. Everything is fresh. Good selection of drinks and delicious deserts. A truly Greek experience. I'd definitely come back, to try the other dishes. 10/10

A fantastic restaurant situated on Osborne Road in Southsea. The decor feels fresh and when all the doors are opened up on a summer's evening, you could be forgiven for thinking you'd been transported 2,000 miles away to a beautiful restaurant on the Greek coast. The menu has all the traditional favourites you'd expect to see, from Lamb Kleftiko and Gyros to Loukaniko Sausage, including a range of excellent sharing platters. Pictured above is the 'Gyros Chicken' which was perfectly portioned, seasoned and good value for money.

Everything was fantastic. We shared the Cypriot Meze platter and there was plenty of food and the quality was high! Staff were pleasant and there was a lovely and warm atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommend!

Very high prices for the services offered. Very little food and very expensive, meat and bread ok. They have nothing to do with Greece like hospitality and service. I have been there and the service was impeccable. Not even in London did I eat so expensively and to pay a mandatory tip. Too bad for the beautiful location. I do not recommend even to enemies.

Excellent staff - Very warm and welcoming. The setting is great and is a little part of Greece in Southsea. If you're after a Greek experience, this comes highly recommended.

STEKI is the best greek food in Portsmouth; fresh meat, delightful tastes, friendly stuff and the greek music in the background brings you back to Greece. The atmosphere and the decor is lovely. Prices are normal. We had our furry friend with us and we were glad the restaurant is dog friendly. We recommend!

Great food had a whole bass cooked perfectly

Greek salad was good. They rest is hit and miss really depends on how fresh is what yore served. Beer line obviously not clean regularly as beer on tap was coming with a funny ferment taste. Service charge is included in the bill.

Pretty good. Less Greek cuisine than before the refit, sad to say! Bring back the traditional menu please. The Manager is always most obliging & very efficient. He runs it really well. Very clean & friendly atmosphere ☺️ I would recommend.

This was our first visit since the recent refurb and although it has sadly lost the traditional Taverna look it is bright and airy and the seats are much more comfortable. The menu is slimmed down with less choice of Greek dishes. Gabrielle, my wife, had prawn saganaki and I had the whole sea bass. It was cooked to perfection, crispy skin, soft moist flesh inside. Not cheap but good food is not cheap and cheap food is not good. The long-standing waiter was brilliant, as usual, and his young lady assistant was terrific. We drank Mythos Greek beer and Retsina wine. Looking forward to our annual trip to Kos in June!!

Wow…. Loved this restaurant. The decor and the friendly staff. Looks to be a family run business. Great food and super service. We had calamari and halloumi staters and mixed grill as well as lamb chops and other chicken dishes. Food was well prepared and well presented. Waitress was very knowledgeable and most helpful. Will certainly visit again.

Probably the closest you can get to real Greek cuisine. I have been coming here for years and it is the best by far, the new decor is bright and cheery whilst maintaining the authentic Greek atmosphere

First visit here, they found us a table last minute, we had the cypriot meze and the food was amazing, salad was fresh, chicken moist and portions huge! The restaurant was hot, and we had dressed for winter, so a little uncomfortable but the food made up for sitting in a t-shirt that I hadnt planned anyone seeing :)

I recently had the pleasure of lunch at Steki Authentic Greek Cuisine in Southsea. The main with Greek sausage is amazing. The starts were very good. I really recommend 🥰

Lost character that this restaurant once had. Tasteless. We ordered meze, there were hardly any tradition Greek Cypriot dishes. An anglicised version that just didn’t work. Labelled in the menu with traditional names, but that’s not what we were served. We had a small table for 2, and they brought, round bread not the traditional shape or taste pitta, 3 dips, hummus, tzatziki and another which we didn’t know what it was but was very salty, all completely tasteless, could have been anything, greek salad calamari, beans, hallumi, stuffed vine leaves, our drinks, and a baked cheese thing. All at the same time, we couldn’t fit it onto the table. We were then served the meat platter which had a large skewer of chicken and another of pork, slices of a random meat that looked like pork, sausages more round flat bread and dip. This was not Greek sausage which is highly flavoured and quite firm, Thai was normal Pork sausage that had been cut and bbq to resemble Greek sausage. No moussaka, kleftiko, lunza, tahini, Having lived in Cyrus for over 4 years, this Cypriot food was very far from traditional. We felt we were rushed, and were only there for an hour and a half. That’s how quickly to food come and went. I had booked in advance so this was very disappointing. As a Greek menu 2/10, not good, tasteless,

Ordered this evening via Uber. One of the gyros’ we received had the wrong meat (pork instead of chicken), we were missing aubergine dip from the wraps, our side of halloumi was missing and as per picture the wraps themselves were sparse and very disappointing! We contacted the restaurant who blamed their Wi-Fi (!!) for the incorrect order… we said we would come and collect the correct wrap and missing halloumi dish. When we got to the restaurant, the front of house guy (old tall guy with white hair) went to the kitchen to speak to the chef and upon asking for our food from the kitchen called my friend an expletive (Malaka) in Greek to them. He was so angry that he walked out and I informed the old guy why we were leaving, that he had just insulted my friend and that they were very rude. They are totally ignorant if they think they can swear about a customer in Greek (and in earshot) and then assume they don’t understand the language. Will not be returning. Avoid at all costs!!

Visited on Saturday evening and we enjoyed every minute spending the night there .. Owner greet us upon entering Greek music lovely atmosphere.. Definitely recommend it.. Oh and the food every taste of it reminds me of Greece.. We had mezze option in the menu and it was delicious.. Greek salad with fetta cheese, pitta, grilled halumi, hummus, tzatziki absolutely lovely.. Two glazed sausages, chicken souvlaki, chips .. We we very satisfied.. Highly recommended!!!

Went here for dinner with friends. The food and service were both brilliant. I highly recommend the platters, they are brilliant value for money and include a good range of dishes. I would definitely go again.

The food here was excellent, we each ordered the Meze so we could try a few different dishes as we had never really eaten Greek food before except for gyros, there was more than enough food for the 3 of us, everything was fresh and tasted amazing! The service here was great as well, the staff were lovely and very helpful, can't wait to go back again when we visit Southsea next

Excellent food and service although they lost a star on account of their poor card terminal reception. Took four tries to complete each card transaction for two separate cards. Very embarrassing and I was given a look of disdain by the young server. A kick in the teeth as we'd also included a tip. Both cards were more than good for the money. Please improve your card terminal reception and hopefully next time you can redeem the star⭐. It's such a shame making diners feel embarrassed unnecessarily when they are trying to pay.

What a fabulous restaurant, with a lovely welcome. The restaurant was very smart, with a contemporary interior and very clean. After reading the positive reviews of this restaurant we decided to try lunch. All I can say is that the reviews were spot on, the food was delicious, we both had the chicken souvlaki, comes with either chips or rice and tasty salad. Would thoroughly recommend, already planning return visit.

A friendly and helpful staff member served us. Bright and airy restaurant with Greek music playing. Clean and comfortable. Food took quite a while to be served but that's because it's all cooked fresh to order. Amazingly they serve real, freshly cut and fried chips, which were very nice. Quite expensive in general (assume £19 for a main course) but the 'traditional Greek wrap' (gyros) are good value at £7.90 and large enough to fill you up on their own. You can find details of these on the website menu but not on the paper menu.

Fantastic food, super clean restaurant, friendly staff that were so attentive. Added balloons to the table for my daughters birthday without asking and presented her with a delicious dessert, candles and a rendition of Happy Birthday all without me asking. I returned the next day to celebrate with my friend for her birthday and the same happened. Superb food and everyone loved it. Well done! You are my new favourite place to eat xx

Greek decor, very atmospheric, there is Greek music playing, although it is too loud and makes conversation difficult, the waitress serving our table was expressionless, she was not rude but it was cold, other waitresses seemed much nicer, a variety of dishes, everyone will find something for yourself, there is also a children's menu, portions are just right at a reasonable price, tasty, aesthetically presented, the only comment is about the desserts, the traditional Greek ones are mercilessly sweet, dripping with syrup, quite large portions which are either impossible to eat after the main meal or when eaten, they cause stomach problems, half of the portion would be enough, we will probably come back again, but definitely without desserts, unless smaller portions are offered

Awful service, ordered via Deliveroo, half our order missing, when I called to try and rectify this I was told on the phone there was nothing they could do and then they hung up on me. Will never order from here again

Absolutely awful behaviour from the elderly man who "met" us. Asked if we had booked - fine. Then claimed he had to check if there was a table - also fine. He "found" a table (within seconds) and then lectured us about how people " Had booked two months in advance" in a very rude fashion. We left. If that is the level of service he starts with God knows how vile it would become. Lousy - avoid.

My family and I celebrated my wife's birthday party and it was our 1st time at the restaurant. It looked amazing inside and felt like you were in Greece, greek music in the background and just the overall look and feel great. Food was fantastic from starters to mains, we all loved the food. It was fresh, tasty and just perfect, the restaurant catered to all our needs and even surprised us with balloons on the table. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant.

Great restaurant, very clean, airy and bright inside with the typical taste of Greece decor. The food was a pleasent surprise, so tasty and well presented. Very competitively priced and large portions. Can't wait to go back again to be honest. June 2023: the place has had a facelift! Still feels like the same place, with the same amazing food but the decor has changed and it was really busy when we visited.

Firstly, the service was brilliant. I was eating out alone, and was made to feel very welcome. The food was fantastic- I really recommend the grilled halloumi and the aubergine dip. Lastly, it was very clean and tidy; which is always a great bonus when you go somewhere to eat.

If you looking for Greek authentic food, Great quality and nice atmosphere , I would definitely recommend.

Sadly, the newly refurbished Steki is a huge disappointment. The girl that was serving took 30 minutes to ask us what we want. Then served us ouzo without ice and water. Then she brought the wrong food after we waited for ages. Food is not as good as it used to be, we ate here dozens of times. Other than the decor... No reason to come here again. So sad.

A decent Greek restaurant in Southsea. Their fish platter was the best fish platter I found in England that could represent an Authentic Greek fish platter, I’ve had in Greece. The staff are also friendly and attentive. The service is reasonably quick, even at peak times, and the prices average. I would recommend.

Walked out after 20 minutes of being completely ignored by the staff. We had booked, arrived 5 minutes early and staff were utterly put out. We could barely hear our selves think amongst the tattoo'd football fans and shrieking banshees. Watched the staff walk past us numerous times. Didn't even get a glass of water. And none of them reacted when we eventually got up and walked out. They clearly don't care. You couldn't pay me to try it again

I visited with a friend a couple of weeks ago and we really enjoyed our meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely with Greek music playing in the background and candles - you could almost imagine that you were in Greece! Excellent service and thank you for the cranberry & ouzo shots :-)

Wow! What amazing food and service. The chefs here really know how to properly cook seafood dishes, the scallops we had were truly melt in the mouth 😋 Everything came out cook to perfection. Also try the Alfa Greek beer, it’s a light blonde lager imported direct from Greece 🍻
