Probably the closest you can get to real Greek cuisine. I have been coming here for years and it is the best by far, the new decor is bright and cheery whilst maintaining the authentic Greek atmosphere

Very good regional great food fantastic service

First visit here, they found us a table last minute, we had the cypriot meze and the food was amazing, salad was fresh, chicken moist and portions huge! The restaurant was hot, and we had dressed for winter, so a little uncomfortable but the food made up for sitting in a t-shirt that I hadnt planned anyone seeing :)

I recently had the pleasure of lunch at Steki Authentic Greek Cuisine in Southsea. The main with Greek sausage is amazing. The starts were very good. I really recommend 🥰

Ordered this evening via Uber. One of the gyros’ we received had the wrong meat (pork instead of chicken), we were missing aubergine dip from the wraps, our side of halloumi was missing and as per picture the wraps themselves were sparse and very disappointing! We contacted the restaurant who blamed their Wi-Fi (!!) for the incorrect order… we said we would come and collect the correct wrap and missing halloumi dish. When we got to the restaurant, the front of house guy (old tall guy with white hair) went to the kitchen to speak to the chef and upon asking for our food from the kitchen called my friend an expletive (Malaka) in Greek to them. He was so angry that he walked out and I informed the old guy why we were leaving, that he had just insulted my friend and that they were very rude. They are totally ignorant if they think they can swear about a customer in Greek (and in earshot) and then assume they don’t understand the language. Will not be returning. Avoid at all costs!!

Lovely waiters, friendly atmosphere and the food is delicious. Great portion sizes and really tasty, it’s great quality for a fair price point. I will definitely go back!

Excellent food it was my birthday and they put themselves out to give our group a memorable time.

Visited on Saturday evening and we enjoyed every minute spending the night there .. Owner greet us upon entering Greek music lovely atmosphere.. Definitely recommend it.. Oh and the food every taste of it reminds me of Greece.. We had mezze option in the menu and it was delicious.. Greek salad with fetta cheese, pitta, grilled halumi, hummus, tzatziki absolutely lovely.. Two glazed sausages, chicken souvlaki, chips .. We we very satisfied.. Highly recommended!!!

We went for my wife’s birthday , four of us , the table had flowers for her , the staff were so friendly, the Cypriot Meze was fantastic with so much variety of food. To top it all it was great value!

Best Greek food in Portsmouth highly recommend

Went here for dinner with friends. The food and service were both brilliant. I highly recommend the platters, they are brilliant value for money and include a good range of dishes. I would definitely go again.

Very friendly staff and very nice food

The food here was excellent, we each ordered the Meze so we could try a few different dishes as we had never really eaten Greek food before except for gyros, there was more than enough food for the 3 of us, everything was fresh and tasted amazing! The service here was great as well, the staff were lovely and very helpful, can't wait to go back again when we visit Southsea next

Excellent food and service although they lost a star on account of their poor card terminal reception. Took four tries to complete each card transaction for two separate cards. Very embarrassing and I was given a look of disdain by the young server. A kick in the teeth as we'd also included a tip. Both cards were more than good for the money. Please improve your card terminal reception and hopefully next time you can redeem the star⭐. It's such a shame making diners feel embarrassed unnecessarily when they are trying to pay.

A friendly and helpful staff member served us. Bright and airy restaurant with Greek music playing. Clean and comfortable. Food took quite a while to be served but that's because it's all cooked fresh to order. Amazingly they serve real, freshly cut and fried chips, which were very nice. Quite expensive in general (assume £19 for a main course) but the 'traditional Greek wrap' (gyros) are good value at £7.90 and large enough to fill you up on their own. You can find details of these on the website menu but not on the paper menu.

Fantastic food, super clean restaurant, friendly staff that were so attentive. Added balloons to the table for my daughters birthday without asking and presented her with a delicious dessert, candles and a rendition of Happy Birthday all without me asking. I returned the next day to celebrate with my friend for her birthday and the same happened. Superb food and everyone loved it. Well done! You are my new favourite place to eat xx

I am a regular customer now, from my first visit and I am never disappointed. The food is lovely and Authentic, also a wonderful atmosphere from the staff are professional, and friendly, worth considering when in Portsmouth.

Greek decor, very atmospheric, there is Greek music playing, although it is too loud and makes conversation difficult, the waitress serving our table was expressionless, she was not rude but it was cold, other waitresses seemed much nicer, a variety of dishes, everyone will find something for yourself, there is also a children's menu, portions are just right at a reasonable price, tasty, aesthetically presented, the only comment is about the desserts, the traditional Greek ones are mercilessly sweet, dripping with syrup, quite large portions which are either impossible to eat after the main meal or when eaten, they cause stomach problems, half of the portion would be enough, we will probably come back again, but definitely without desserts, unless smaller portions are offered

Awful service, ordered via Deliveroo, half our order missing, when I called to try and rectify this I was told on the phone there was nothing they could do and then they hung up on me. Will never order from here again

Absolutely awful behaviour from the elderly man who "met" us. Asked if we had booked - fine. Then claimed he had to check if there was a table - also fine. He "found" a table (within seconds) and then lectured us about how people " Had booked two months in advance" in a very rude fashion. We left. If that is the level of service he starts with God knows how vile it would become. Lousy - avoid.

My family and I celebrated my wife's birthday party and it was our 1st time at the restaurant. It looked amazing inside and felt like you were in Greece, greek music in the background and just the overall look and feel great. Food was fantastic from starters to mains, we all loved the food. It was fresh, tasty and just perfect, the restaurant catered to all our needs and even surprised us with balloons on the table. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant.

Great restaurant, very clean, airy and bright inside with the typical taste of Greece decor. The food was a pleasent surprise, so tasty and well presented. Very competitively priced and large portions. Can't wait to go back again to be honest. June 2023: the place has had a facelift! Still feels like the same place, with the same amazing food but the decor has changed and it was really busy when we visited.

Firstly, the service was brilliant. I was eating out alone, and was made to feel very welcome. The food was fantastic- I really recommend the grilled halloumi and the aubergine dip. Lastly, it was very clean and tidy; which is always a great bonus when you go somewhere to eat.

If you looking for Greek authentic food, Great quality and nice atmosphere , I would definitely recommend.

Sadly, the newly refurbished Steki is a huge disappointment. The girl that was serving took 30 minutes to ask us what we want. Then served us ouzo without ice and water. Then she brought the wrong food after we waited for ages. Food is not as good as it used to be, we ate here dozens of times. Other than the decor... No reason to come here again. So sad.

A decent Greek restaurant in Southsea. Their fish platter was the best fish platter I found in England that could represent an Authentic Greek fish platter, I’ve had in Greece. The staff are also friendly and attentive. The service is reasonably quick, even at peak times, and the prices average. I would recommend.

Food poisoning!!! Would not recommend!!

Walked out after 20 minutes of being completely ignored by the staff. We had booked, arrived 5 minutes early and staff were utterly put out. We could barely hear our selves think amongst the tattoo'd football fans and shrieking banshees. Watched the staff walk past us numerous times. Didn't even get a glass of water. And none of them reacted when we eventually got up and walked out. They clearly don't care. You couldn't pay me to try it again

I visited with a friend a couple of weeks ago and we really enjoyed our meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely with Greek music playing in the background and candles - you could almost imagine that you were in Greece! Excellent service and thank you for the cranberry & ouzo shots :-)

Wow! What amazing food and service. The chefs here really know how to properly cook seafood dishes, the scallops we had were truly melt in the mouth 😋 Everything came out cook to perfection. Also try the Alfa Greek beer, it’s a light blonde lager imported direct from Greece 🍻

Fantastic experience. Staying in Portsmouth for a night and wanted a local restaurant. We walked around and the place looked busy but welcoming. We had a fantastic service throughout the night. Every dish was surprisingly good and very generous. We came in hungry but could not finish the mains... Great atmosphere, reasonably priced. We will be back!

The food size is ridiculous small.Also the prices are too high. Mussels are impossible to eat (they are way too sticked to the shells). At least the food has taste.

I came here with my dad on Greek Easter for dinner and I had the vegetarian souvlaki. The pieces of halloumi on the kebab sticks were HUGE, I was expecting there to be a few more vegetables on it instead of so much halloumi but oh well... Also I would have liked to have a bigger portion of Tsatziki as it was tiny and I am Tsatzikikou 😭 The food was so yummy & I left with a full stomach 😋.

Great place! Immediately transported back to Ianni’s in Sivota, or George’s in Kalamos, so evocative! The food is fabulous, the traditional Greek wine in stoneware carafes great and lovely family style service, even on a busy Saturday night.

Nothing special. First Greek restaurant where we were not offered Ouzo. Gyros not warm, fries sticky, minimal salad. And, for what it was, quite pricey.

Gorgeous food! We had the lamb chops and they were so tender and tasty. Big portions, very welcoming staff. We will definitely come again, in fact we may have found our new favourite restaurant :)

This has to be the friendliest place in Southsea. After 3 days of welcoming 88 year 6 children for a tasting experience, Nurtil and his staff couldn't do enough for the children and staff. Thank you for a fantastic experience.
