Very good and affordable place, perfect food!

Unfortunately this cafe has bird spikes on its building to deter pigeons. Despite one bird already being impaled on these awful spikes, they have done nothing about them. It is only a matter of time before more of our wildlife meets an untimely end at this place

What an absolutely lovely cafe , really lovely staff and the food is so nice , very reasonably priced. If you haven’t been here you really must go I promise you won’t be disappointed. Really tasty food.

Excellent food and friendly staff! I've had the vegetarian Prato Feito e a cornflour cake and a coffee. All amazing! And the staff was very friendly and helpful towards my food choices.

Freshly made decent food, I go there for breakfast and I can get it cooked exactly to my liking no problems. All the staff are very friendly and it's your basic English cafe without any nonsense. Decent prices and was recently redecorated and clean and tidy.

A place that deserves a visit either with your family or friends. There is a very warm atmosphere and a varied menu and dishes prepared with love, it's delicious! Do not hesitate to visit it

Worst coffee I’ve ever had. I ask for a double espresso I get so much water on it as an Americana then when I take it back I get a light shot of espresso then when I speak with the gentleman there he told me sorry we can’t waste more coffee 🙄. Very bad experience

A simple and authentic place, you will meet more English people than tourists ;) for English breakfasts in the pure tradition, lots of choice... the chai tea is also very good, we loved it ✌🏻

An unpretentious friendly cafe with a warm local vibe and very tasty well-priced fayre. Pay at the counter, find a seat and they bring your order to you. Super staff, helpful and welcoming - it was a pleasure to be a customer there. Lots of regulars -always an excellent sign. Clean place and speedy serving time. A real gem!

Was planning to go to alternative nearby but it was closed so popped in for lunch. Wife had veg breakfast. Basic coffee latte was very nice. All good , mushrooms could be flavoured? Chicken Milanese for me. Served with spaghetti and chips! Maybe better with some veg or salad instead of 2 carbs? All cooked nicely. Spaghetti was in fresh tasting tomato and garlic flavoured sauce. Would definitely eat here again. Many Italian diners eating here. The toilet was authentic if you been to Italy . Clean, usable but old fixtures and fittings.

Egg was cooked to perfection, hashbrown was absolutely banging, mushrooms were spot on. 100% recommend!

This place has gone very downhill . I ordered a bacon baguette for £4.15. It came out as small uncooked baguette with 2 dry ends of bacon not even 2 pieces . When I complained they didn’t care stated speaking about me not in English which I found rude. The coffee cups take out have got smaller and the coffee is weak . Very disappointed won’t be going back after eating there for years

There for the Roast dinner for 17-year-old Grandchild birthday celebration. Great choice of menu, and a good selection of Roasts, including the vegetarian and vegan style. But more than that, it's one of those places that you have to keep looking at, so many interesting pictures, photos, mostly old history. I would like to go again just to walk around and muse. Service excellent, food great, atmostphere well have to be there.

In all my years living in and visiting Brighton, I never knew this pub had such a fancy and eclectic dining room upstairs. We had a lovely meal in surroundings my friend described as being off a 1920s movie set. Great service, high quality food, wide range of wines and beers, we recommend it highly. Would have liked just a few more options for mains and the kids menu but in all, a great place to eat.

Place is average. Food taste great (traditional), but DO NOT WAIT FOR ALL THE FOOD TO BE HERE!!! It would take too long for all to be here at the same time(lack of space+employee). Toilet improves a lot better than use to be horrible. It improved a little now.

Like it alot and can be busy. I recommend it to visitors.

We had lunch here the other day after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We had really good food but unfortunately the pub was freezing and the meal was served on stone cold plates, so it soon lost it's temperature and was cold before we could finish it. Such a shame as the meal itself was excellent.

Lovely people and place, got my order wrong but quickly recorded everything fresh. Sausages were not to our taste, but quantity, value for money and customer service was 1st class.

There's a hint of Brasil at this place. It was great. The chef took time and care to tailor our food as we requested. Plenty on the plate, wonderful taste, served with a smile.

Been here a couple of times it's a clean friendly well used place. I have had cooked Breakfasts of different sizes and a good cup of tea. It's not a fancy place but as good food 🤓

Called in only for a quick tea & sandwich ... the Tuna/Mayo was my best ever, well presented and garnished. Most friendly staff and atmosphere. Recommended.

A small authentic English cafe with polite service people. Interior is very traditional and old but it's very live and evident that local community involved a lot, which realised from their presence and communication with service persons.

Amazing bolognese, great with spaghetti or baked potato. Friendly staff, great prices and quick service.

Acceptable prices, decent portions, impressive menu and cheap drinks. Staff is very friendly working hard to serve all the customers. If you speak Italian you can have a nice conversation with the chief. I would say that there is a wheelchair access here. I had a mushroom and onion omelette with chips and I wasn't disappointed.

Worst experience I've ever had I ordered a meal with no beans as I cannot stand them, I was then given beans and when asked if I could have them removed the owner simply pushed them of the plate leaving beans all under my chips and the sauce dripping of the plate. My partners meal was cold and his egg was hard and burnt underneath, place was filthy and the highchair we was offered for our son was disgusting with moldy food all over the tray! Will not be back!

Ok, Brighton can get really up itself with adaption of the Great British Breakfast, sometimes I even witnessed SALAD with a fry up, FFS. Anyway Figaro's is no nonsense food well prepared, fresh and plenty of it! The staff are friendly and efficient and the service quick. An ambiance of off the beaten track non mainstream Brighton, all walks of life use this Cafe, it's airy and well laid out, eavesdrop on local gossip, have a chat with people you have never met before! It's a happy place.
