I’ve lived in Sevenoaks for 7 years and visited for the first time today. I’m definitely returning! Great service and really nice breakfast. Good selection for all dietary needs.

Came here for a friends birthday on a Thursday evening at 6pm. There were three of us and we booked in advance. Even though our booking was at 6:30pm, they were happy to sit us down and as the restaurant was mostly empty at this point we were given free choice of where to sit and opted for the conservatory area as it was brighter and warmer. Beofre sitting down we painlessly ordered our drinks from the bar and took them with us. The one flaw with this place is the lack of good non-wine drinks choice, but given this is a French focussed Restaurant, this can be forgiven. The interior definitely wasn't pub like and felt more like a European Bistro / Diner and it was lovely with great decor and tableware.
After sitting down we ordered our food from the A La Carte menu which had a great selection of dishes for Starter and Main. After our order was taken we were brought some bread (malted seeded brown and white), butter and olives as an appetizer with a carafe of tap water. The tap water was always refilled without us having to ask which was excellent.
When our starters arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the presnetation. All our dishes looked great! I ordered the Cod, and my friends the Battered Prawns and the Cheese Tarte. The only criticism of the starters was that the batter for the prawns could have been crispier as it was a tad soggy. They weren't cold though! Other than that, they tasted delicious and there were no complaints.
The mains ordered were two Sea Bass Fillets and the Gingerbread crusted Hake both of which were very well received both in presentation and taste, there were no complains here!
Of course we had to go the whole hog and order two desserts which were the warm banana bread with ice cream and the baked apple tart with custard. They were both excellent and we didn't have anything to complain about. We ended our meal with tea and coffee which came with some wonderful chocolate truffles.
Overall, The Fish delivered in both service, ambience and food with the service being attentive and of a high quality, the ambience making it feel like were in a French Bistro and the food feeling truly homemade and presented beautifully.
Full marks from us!
Don't be fooled - this is not a hamburger as we know it. What they call a 'smashed patty' is a wafer thin lacework of minced beef that you can see through, containing gristle, about a quarter the thickness of a hamburger. When I asked for 'no cheese' the waitress did bring a replacement burger but I had to ask for a glass, knife and fork, and serviette. At the end of the meal I paid on their card terminal but they couldn't produce a receipt for me (10% service charge automatically goes on unless you ask for it to be removed). Really poor quality meat, dozy service and they need to sort out their technology. At least the chips were ok. Find somewhere else to eat.

I had the ribeye steak, my son had the chicken and ribs and my husband, the steak skewer. I have to say, everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Even the salad was dressed beautifully. Jorge and Hanna are always so welcoming, helpful and go the extra mile. They even buy in milk, just for our ASD young man.
100% we will come back again and again.
If booking a large party, they are happy to take orders in advanced.
The Junipers and I cannot believe how amazing this cafe is, Oh we will be back!
Now my Isa told me about 'The Tennis Cafe' and how the Girls and I should make it apart of our weekly cafe rotation, now after the absolutely divine afternoon we had I think you have become our new Monday cafe!! The beautiful young ladies working the cafe are so attentive and with how busy it is you'd think they'd be flabbergasted but no! Absolutely not! on the ball they were! what an amazing group to be looking after such a cafe!
Very friendly local café with good food and an extensive menu. Very reasonably priced - the Ultimate Old Mill breakfast at £9.95 sounded amazingly good value. Free parking for about a dozen cars outside in the little shopping parade.
First time visiting here. Lovely place and very clean. We had gammon and a cheesy flatbread with chicken - couldn't fault the food, absolutely gorgeous!! Staff were friendly enough but I feel a smile or two would improve the welcome
