The best restaurants in South East

Beautiful food. Mouthwatering. Never fails.

I visited on Friday 1st November with my grandson for a light lunch whilst we were in town. I never usually leave reviews but the service was excellent and the food was lovely, I would certainly recommend this café and will visit again.

Probably the best jacket potato I've had for ages. The cakes are great too. There's always a different selection every time I go in there. The staff are always very friendly and chatty. A very warm atmosphere

You pizza is so delicious,I can't compare your pizza with any others on the market but I have only one suggestion:try and cut slices better because the cutting is not great but the rest is perfect ❤️❤️

Located inside a wonderful emporium, perfect for a snack or drink, while you ponder on all the super things to buy. Down side, it is upstairs, so no access for any one with mobility difficulties. Staff are nice, prices slightly steep for what you are getting, but clean.

The Angel Bar in Caversham is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home—even with young children in tow. It was so refreshing to find a place where kids are genuinely welcomed (until 7pm), and the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere made the experience all the more enjoyable. We were so comfortable during our visit, and the thoughtful touches made all the difference. The kids were thrilled to have babyccinos made just for them, while we enjoyed a lovely drink in peace—a rare treat for parents! The parking was also super convenient, which made everything so easy for us. It’s clear that the team at The Angel goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcome, and we’ll definitely be returning. Whether you’re stopping by for a family outing or a drink with friends, this bar is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

A very lovely little cafe with the two friendliest and fun couple working there. The food was great and very reasonably priced, would highly recommend to locals and for tourists passing through
