Latino in Woking

Have been here before for lunch and had a great experience, so booked for a dinner with friends. The food is ok, nothing exceptional though. The service however (at least from the makes) was below standard. After our mains were cleared we were just forgotten about, not even offered a dessert menu, had to ask twice for a bill. Which had a 12.5% service charge added, have no problem tipping good service, but not sub-par service. Good not good enough to warrant any further visits. Sad as could be so lovely, but felt I was a nuisance rather than a paying customer.

What a lovely place! I had a lovely pizza and drink here. I was happily surprised by the staff's manners and values, you don't see that so often anymore these days. Wish I had space for more food because a few other dishes looked wonderful too. There was a very nice vibe in the restaurant, I was surrounded by great customers making it a very pleasant place to be.

With my brother in Woking looking for something to eat before a show and came across the Gem of a place. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was excellent. The food was well presented and the flavours are best Italian I have had. Reasonably priced. It was just a shame I had no time for desserts. I will definitely go back and visit again. Highly recommend that if you are in Woking to see a show, book a table here

Lovely restaurant, outstanding regional Italian cuisine and fantastically helpful and friendly staff especially, Giuliano, Silvio and Astrid.

We came for our son’s birthday meal. All the team are lovely and looked after us very well. They have changing specials on the menu and I can tell they take a lot of care in choosing the wines and foods they use. Food was delicious. Do book! It was pretty busy even on a Monday night. I’m not surprised though as it’s got a lovely atmosphere.

It was a toss-up whether we went here or to the Italian restaurant next door. In the end we chose this one. It's fairly pleasant inside and, even though it was a Monday evening, it was rather busy. The food was OK. My wife enjoyed her Arancini and Caciucco di pesce which is a fish based stew. Unusually, when the waiter served the dish I could swear that he said "Here's your Bouillabaisse", which is, of course, a French stew that is very similar. I had the Bistecca al Pepe Verde which was OK. It didn't look anything as nice as the picture on the menu. As I say, it was fine but a bit thin and fatty and the pepper sauce was a bit heavy and thick. We had a bottle of wine called Taurasi Santandrea D.O.C.G. Vinosia Campania which was quite expensive for what it is. It was fine but I've had better for less than the £60 that this cost (plus service charge, of course). At one stage the waiter walked past and scooped up my wife's Prosecco glass. She is adamant that it was still at least one quarter full. I called the waiter back but he insisted the glass was empty when he took it away. My wife tells me that she had only looked at the glass within one minute of it disappearing and it was definitely a quarter full. All in all, it was an interesting meal. Nothing special but it did cost me well over £200. Time to try the place next door now, I think.

For a quiet little restaurant in Woking town centre, Latinos doesn’t disappoint. Cosy, welcoming and with a good atmosphere, it’s a nice cubby hole away from the hustle and bustle on a weekday evening. I was welcomed immediately by one of the staff. There were a few tables occupied with small groups chatting at a pleasant volume, and I was offered a number of tables to sit at. Ordering was quick and easy - I had the Crostino Latino (mushrooms in a white wine sauce on toasted baguette) to start, followed by that traditional favourite, Spaghetti Carbonara. Whilst not of Italian descent, I’ve tasted Carbonara all over the world. It’s no secret that Brits love cream in a carbonara, and whilst Latinos does use a little, it’s barely noticeable and retains the traditional taste befitting one of the four great Italian pastas. A couple of glasses of Sauvignon Blanc went very nicely with the meal, and the bill was extremely reasonable. All in all, a very nice visit and I’ll definitely be returning.

We ate here as we just happened to be in Woking overnight and picked it because we like Italian food. It had a lively, buzzy atmosphere. Great food and good service. I like the fact that when we asked for a pause before considering dessert, they actually gave us a decent break rather than popping back with the menu in 5 minutes! We both had arancini, calzone and crème brûlée and the whole meal was delicious. Recommended.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, very good Italian food, highly recommend the tagliatelle with salmon and tagliatelle with creamed mushrooms and Italian sausage, the homemade tiramisu rounded it of.

Lovely little Italian. Great menu, fast service. Delicious pasta with prawns and a lovely side salad. I didn’t drink but win lost looks great too. Clean and friendly and relaxing being there as lone woman.

Ambiance is good. Food tastes nice but it is over priced I would say. Staff look frank the tall Italian lady wasn’t that much understanding. Fine dining but not that happy ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️

Really delicious lunch today, so hard to choose because everything on the menu sounded great. I had the burrata special to start and it was really fresh, followed by seabass with prawns and roasted new potatoes. Other half had special king prawn risotto which was amazing. Everything was really well flavored and perfectly cooked. Service was friendly but unobtrusive, we were looked after very well. Highly recommended!

Visited Latino Ristorante Italiano for the second time, and the experience was as good as the first. The restaurant was buzzing, with the sound of laughter and happy chatting people, and we were made to feel very welcome by the friendly and attentive waiting staff. On my first visit I had the Risotto Frutti di Mare which I highly recommend and I opted for a pizza on my second visit which was also delicious. Drinks and food are reasonably priced and another return visit is on the cards.

It's a lovely, beautiful place and I had a very enjoyable meal, so had my son! The food was very tasty and the atmosphere is very pleasant

I took my daughter before going to the theatre. Best Italian we have been in for a long time.Food was very good,I had spaghetti dish with fish. And my daughter had a really nice steak,cooked perfectly.

We chose to eat lunch here when we walked straight in and out again of the pub we had actually booked. What a huge stroke of luck, it was absolutely superb. We explained that we had theatre tickets and so the service was fast and efficient, and the food was first class! Genuine Italian cooking. Great Pizza and pasta! It was reasonably priced too. The server wasn’t the most amazingly friendly but was very efficient and its NOT a criticism of them. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be choosing it again when we visit Woking Theatre!

Very good sea bass and shrimps dish. Home made tiramisu was very dry good too. Late Sunday lunch after theatre so not too busy. Food served promptly, with a smile.

We've been coming here since 2010, and the food has always been amazing. We hadn't been in for a while, but not only was the food as tasty as ever but its presentation has gone up a notch, and the restaurant itself has had a bit of a refresh too. I had the two specials of the day for starters and main, which were both delicious, and a refreshing limencello tartufo for dessert. But everything we've tried over the years has been good.

I lived a strange experience at Latino this week. I went twice. I would like to begin by saying the food on both occasions was excellent however the service and atmosphere was different. On the first occasion the pace of service was spot on, not too fast not too slow (I should point out the restaurant was only slightly busy on both occasions so no difference in the numbers needing to be served) Astrid the young lady serving was a joy, we spoke in both English and Italian, she asked all the right questions and was very welcoming and warm. I wrote a very good review on the card they provide. On my second visit (despite my good review on my first) there was a cold efficiency to the service. I had booked for 1930, I arrived at 1920. I had ordered and had my food on the table by 1930!! I had also ordered a wine to start and then one for my food. I ended up with both on the table at the same time. It was as if they were in a hurry. Astrid was there and was again pleasant however I was served by the two gentlemen who seemed to want my money and to leave. I did mention the difference on the feedback card with no response from them. (again I emphasise there was not a crowd in pulling on their time). The reason my feedback score for experience is in the middle is because of the difference in the two visits. I say again food fantastic, prices fair, value for money and generally a pleasant place to eat. Kerr WELLS
