The best restaurants serving British food in London

Table booked for Saturday 19th April. We found the service not very good at all. Nothing genuine about it whatsoever. Just felt like he wanted the table back and didn’t actually care about how we enjoyed the meal at all. Bill came and quickly added the service charge without hesitation. No interest in if we actually enjoyed the meal very robotic and no personality and care whatsoever.

Best food and very attentive service. Can't recommend enough this place. Me and my whole family keep coming back to this place. The prices are far better than anywhere else.

We came here for Sunday lunch and were suitably impressed - huge portions, cooked *almost* perfectly (my mother found her roast potatoes a bit soft). My fish & chips were first rate - really crunchy batter on the flaky fish & really good crispy chips (you could tell they were triple cooked). The building is really spacious so you should always be able to find somewhere to sit. It's also dog-friendly, which is essential for any pub. Excellent range of beers as well, but most of all 10/10 for the staff who without exception were helpful, cheery, knowledgeable and professional. PS my mother may not have loved her spuds but insisted on a doggy bag for her roast chicken which was too much for one sitting.

Picked Gloucester Road underground station at random in the hope of finding somewhere to eat nearby. The Hereford Arms was not far from the station and seeing Roasted Hake on the menu as well as Beef Cheeks shepherds pie, we had to call in to try. We were not disappointed!

bank holiday lunch was lovely! even managed to get a beef! was pleasantly surprised! the place was absolutely jam packed but still as always recieved the best service thanks all :-)

Very well received! The fish and chips are very good. Don't hesitate to stop by for a well-deserved break!

Salimos a la taberna de ponche 21 / 04 / 25 en un paseo por la calle de la flota y gracias a Dios que lo hicimos porque terminamos teniendo una velada fantástica, ya habíamos comido pero vimos la comida saliendo con aspecto y olor bien así que pedimos pescado con papas fritas y fue fantástico nos atendió Joe que realmente fue más allá para hacernos sentir bienvenidos haciendo nuestros cócteles fuera del menú y su colega encantador que solo conozco como la dama búlgara tanto muy eficiente y atento Esperamos volver a visitarlo cuando regrese a Londres Encantador pub antiguo con Ales tradicional y bebidas modernas con una buena selección de bebidas

Lovely pub. Very friendly atmosphere.

We liked the place. The staff was nice. The fish and chips were hot and delicious. The burgers were also simple and delicious. My husband would have drunk beer, it was brought to him from the place next door, because it is the same owner.

Really good fish and chip shop. The fish is nice, I usually have the plaice. The burgers are really good. They do lovely chips too, and their chicken wings are very tasty. Gets really busy at weekends so you're always better off calling ahead for your order, otherwise you could be standing around in the shop for a long time as they also get a lot of delivery orders coming in.

What a wonderful pub and lovely staff. They were friendly, polite, attentive and kind. A special mention for our hostess Sirina who greeted us with the warmest smile and kept us entertained throughout our meal. Thank you to Simon, Sirina and the whole team!

Nos topamos con Langan’s esta mañana y decidimos venir a desayunar rápido antes del corte de pelo de mi marido. Solo tuvimos 50 minutos, pero el personal era muy atento en tomar nuestro pedido y servir nuestra comida. El servicio al cliente era de primera clase! Había un pequeño problema con mi comida que se resolvió perfectamente y una y otra vez - el personal era brillante! Sin duda volveremos a reservar - gracias al brillante equipo para un comienzo tan maravilloso de nuestro día.
