We had a spectacular anniversary dinner at Langan’s Brasserie. The ambiance was elegant, the food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Anya Morsy, who made our night truly memorable. Her attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism made us feel genuinely special and added a personal touch to our celebration. Also she noticed we were fasting for Ramadan and engaged us in a thoughtful conversation about the holy month, it was a small moment that meant a lot. We’ll definitely be back!

My second visit after visiting a couple of years ago. Wine list is more threadbare than it looks, my first two picks not available, and the multiple is a bit steep. I had gratinated potatoes last time, no longer on menu. My meat was better too. Not as good a time as the first.

Stupendous! We went here for my birthday and had an amazing meal! The onion soup was probably the best I've ever tasted (it got me 100k views on TikTok I love you) 😂 Wonderful location and super attentive and kind service, we will return as soon as possible!

We stumbled on this gem and had the most fabulous dinner experience. The beef tartare, leek and cheese risotto and pistachio soufflé were delicious. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere both comfortable and elegant. We will definitely go back many many more times.

Saskia upstairs is an absolute delight. I love all the staff in Langans - they literally can’t do enough for you. They are friendly, efficient and great people, Let’s talk about the food! I’m known by my friends for complaining (mostly because I can normally cook the dish served better) however, Langans is the only restaurant in london I have never complained about. This has to be one of the best restaurants in London for a special occasion. We’ve celebrated two birthdays here in the last couple of months and I could not recommend it enough. From the small attention to detail such as a birthday card upon arrival to a hand written “Happy Birthday” piped in chocolate alongside a macaroon with a candle - your evening is made to feel incredibly special. The decor and ambience is second to none, and the space is well laid out. The restaurant has two bars - The Mural Bar - which is great for pre-dinner drinks as well as Upstairs at Langan’s which is also a brilliant space for an after dinner aperitif or simply to come for a couple of cocktails in the evening. Speaking of the cocktails, these are also brilliant- from your classics to a list of signature cocktails, every one we’ve tried so far has been a hit. The food is also exceptional. We had the most gorgeous sourdough bread to start and I followed this with the Dressed Devon Crab for starter, Dover Sole for main and finished off with a Hot Chocolate Fondant. Everything was cooked to perfection, delivered in a timely fashion and expertly paired with some really delicious red or white wine carefully selected by the sommelier. However, what really sets this place apart is the quality of the staff who work there. A big thank you to senior restaurant manager, Anthony Schepper and his team for making both our evenings this year incredibly special. They really went above and beyond to make the occasions memorable experiences. If you’re looking for an indulgent evening out with family, friends or a partner - I could not recommend this restaurant enough. Sheer class and quality - we can’t wait to return.

I was one of those who hadn't returned to this restaurant since the takeover. I guess I enjoyed the experience of the initial incarnation so much that I felt the newcomers could never recreate the atmosphere of what was one of London's most iconic restaurants. However, friends invited us for lunch and I am pleased to admit that I was proved to be quite wrong! Good cooking was at the heart of the meal we enjoyed but it was the service that really stood out. Never intrusive, but the attention to detail was impressive. Congratulations for assembling an excellent team!

From my experience, this is the best restaurant I have been to in the UK. Excellent service, brilliant food, I will not hesitate to go back. Would certainly recommend the Langan's Mess. Only critique would be that the smoke salmon and bread and butter didn't have much flavour.

Langan's is a favourite restaurant of mine as it does so many things well. From being ushered through the door and to the table (normally via the bar) you feel welcomed as a valued guest. Service is personable and genuinely engaging. We've always found the food to be of a very high standard and the beef Wellington last Saturday was simply superb. The extra birthday touches at the end were a lovely addition to complete a perfect evening. Our invited guests (first time diner here) were very impressed too. Please keep doing what you do well Langan's.

First time to this famous eatery. Bit disappointed that it has removed the film memorabilia from Michael Caine’s career. Atmosphere was a little sterile , however the food and service was top class. Lovely decor . Very stylish.

The food was great but i would say a bit on the pricy side. I think the atmosphere and the vibe or the restaurant was quite enjoyable. would return.

Had a wonderful joint birthday day meal with friends, staff were very welcoming and attentive. We were given a birthday card each which was a sweet touch. Glasses were never left to become empty and the timing between courses was perfect. The decor and atmosphere are lovely, relaxed but still elegant. The food is absolutely outstanding, the nibbles were a perfect accompaniment to our champagne.

Good ambience and pleasantly quiet with good service

I mostly always enjoy Langan’s. This time the table was a bit uncomfortable for 5 grown men. Also the ribeye is not really great value for almost £50. Server was really terrific and the sommelier was very helpful.

Anonymous food! This is what I'd say if I had to describe the food my friend and I had at the Langan's Brasserie yesterday. I found a complete lack of personality in the dishes and the food was very bland. I was looking forward to the courgette's flowers, but all I could taste was the sweetness from the honey, way too much, and the terrible aftertaste of seed oil used for frying them. The batter itself was soggy and the mascarpone and ricotta filling could have done with a bit of salt and perhaps black pepper. The Cesar salad had huge chunks of lettuce, very difficult to eat in a composed way, and the cheese and egg could merely be spotted. Same goes for the onion soup, lacking character. Very disappointed.

Stunning restaurant, the staff are impeccably trained, so friendly and professional. Food and wine first class.

Have been a regular visitor to Langan's over the past months and a regular visitor since it opened. I hoped the restaurant adhered to its old values. I always make advance bookings and in January I booked for March on a special occasion. I have now been told that the booking is cancelled because a 'private party has been booked'. It transpires that the 'private party' was not a charitable or social cause but a Langan;s investor! The investor clearly not interested in any customer impact of cancelling reservations to fit him in and the staff not interested enough to point out the issue to him. As it was subsequently acknowledged, an alternative date with no customer impact was possible, nobody was interested enough to sort it out before cancelling a customer reservation. Completely unacceptable, no contingency plan in place to accommodate us elsewhere in the restaurant, just you are out of luck. Strongly advise NOT booking Langan's for any special events or occasions as you could be suddenly very disappointed. I will not be using them again.

From the minute you arrive you are treated like a film star. The food & service was 6 stars. Expensive but worth every penny to indulge yourself…..

Nice relaxed venue for lunch. Bright room and not noisy. Food very good and attentive but not fussy service. Wines a little over priced as is common these days. Will go again.

Top restaurant French with a touch of British. Service 10, Atmosphere 10, Food 11!. A great meal, the best we had in London during our visit, the Beef Wellington was amazing and a very generous serving. All the dishes were done perfectly exactly what you expect from this category of restaurant. And still it was 1/4 of the price of other fine dining we had. A no brainer, must come back.

A classic Mayfair institution that truly knows its craft. If you’re after high-quality brasserie-style food, Langan’s is the place to be. I’ve enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, and each experience has been exceptional. The salmon is my absolute favourite!

I went in this brasserie for a late breakfast on the last Friday with some work colleagues. The place was nice and quiet, there was quite a few chooses in the menu overall, but in my case (9month pregnant) I was a bit limited but that’s quite normal. Quite a few choices among drinks, sweet breakfast or savoury one, we had an omelette ham and cheese to share and a French toast to share too which were quite nice. The pain au chocolat it looked more like a brioche to me, with no layers. I would personally change the place where they buy it. Service was very attentive and kind, will definately come back!

Had lunch at this longstanding, iconic restaurant in the heart of Mayfair in Dec; it had a real Xmas feel. The interior is cosy with kitsch art on display. I opted for some cheese and truffle on toast (a la croque Monsieur) and the house ‘bangers and mash’ specialty. Both were superbs. The staff looked after us - it was a nice touch to add name tags to the table given the size of the group. The resto is on the pricier side but I had a lovely lunch

I had my Birthday dinner at Langans. Everything was perfect ! The food was delicious, excellent service, our meal was the best meal we have ever had. Every course meal made us smile when we eat it. Perfect presentation, fresh food, well seasoning, yummy. To start off the delicious meal, we had prawns, tuna, courgettes flower, arancini, oysters and ribeye . For dessert Langans mess, chocolate tart and a surprise birthday cake. All dishes were amazing. My favourite was the tuna and ribeye, which were so flavourful. The service quality was truly exceptional . Thank you Micheli, Antony and Laurent. Thank you GM Sam and executive head chef Ben Mellor. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I I highly recommend Langans. RR.

Best brasserie in London. If there is one restaurant where I feel home, it’s the Langan’s!

Sorry to say that despite their best efforts to rescue the situation our first visit back since soon after Langans first opened in 1976 was disappointing. Maybe it was an off evening but the spinach soufflé just was not the same. Too rich not risen sufficiently and the anchovy sauce just not right. Then steak and the rest of our main meal was served almost cold and had to be returned and re-issued. Atmosphere still lovely but simply not what it was. Shame

This is a top restaurant. The service is beyond good. The steak tartar is the best I've ever had. Fish and chips and bangers and mash are the best in London

I’ve been to Langans a number of times recently so felt the need to review. Food, drink and service is exceptional. The beef wellington, fish pie, and Dover sole are particular favourites of mine.

Langans is consistently excellent in every way from the moment you walk through the doors to the moment you leave. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with subtle lighting and decor that strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort. If you’re lucky enough to be greeted by Martin, Dana or Adrienne they’re genuinely welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The menu is a masterpiece, offering a selection that highlights fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared with creativity and precision. Each dish arrives beautifully presented, and the flavors are absolutely spot-on. The chefs clearly take pride in their craft, as every bite showcases a perfect harmony of taste and texture—whether it’s the delicate starters, the beautifully cooked main courses, or the indulgent desserts that feel like an experience in themselves. And let’s not forget the drink menu! The selection of wines, (Yen is a master) craft cocktails (Upstairs), are thoughtfully curated to complement the food. Each pairing feels intentional, and Yen (downstairs) Mark, Ruby & Vallerio (Upstairs) are more than happy to offer recommendations to suit your preferences. In short, dining here is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. With impeccable service, exceptional food, and an ambiance that makes you want to linger, this restaurant sets the standard. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I find myself already planning my next visit as soon as I leave

This famous Brasserie had come back to life after the sad end to Peter Langan in 1988. The place was famous for having the famous as clientele – Invited by co-owner Michael Caine. What is it like today now that Robert de Niro and David Bailey are not getting out so much? We had the prix fix menu for lunch, and it turned out to be a good choice. The smoked salmon and avocado were cubed and shaped in a ring with pumpernickel bread on the side – subtly made to let the ingredients speak for themselves – fresh and vibrant. My liver parfait – was rich, buttery with a hint of port, served with brioche toast – a great start. Then salmon in a sauce and Langan’s famous bangers and mash – 2 firm Cumberland sausages on mash with a rich dark gravy. All top quality though we ordered the salmon pink, and it was cooked more than that. And the French fries – Some of the best in London. Get the French fries. We made the mistake of ordering the Langan’s Mess – merengue, cream, ice cream, raspberries and a hot chocolate source – Like an irresistible drug. This did push us over – You only need the 2 courses. With a G&T (£14.50) that seemed like a triple and a Noam beer (£8) we were satisfied. The place is high ceilinged, surprisingly light and there is plenty of space between the diners. The service is formal unless you break through with the staff – Our server Eveline was top notch. She played with us, chatted when we wanted and even showed us the Langan’s photography book of the 80’s stars who came there – Charlotte Rampling, Mick Jaggar, George Michael, Joan Collins, Steven Spielberg, Ringo Starr, Christopher Reeves, Dustin Hoffman, Shirley Bassey, Richard Harris, Elizabeth Taylor, Peter O’Toole, and the list goes on. We were allowed to linger and not pestered to exit as in so many places these days. I guess the stars have moved on, no longer drawn in by the then owner Michael Caine to party in style, just as they no longer go to the Ivy, Sheekys or the Savoy Grill. At £60 a head it is not cheap (and that was with the prix fix) I would say the experience and the history make this a worthwhile investment of your money and your time. Recommended.

Langan’s has changed - no more red walls, no more menus with silhouettes of Michael Caine and Peter Langan… But - the bangers and mash still remain and does the fish n chips, mixed in amongst the posh starters and entrees. We had both along with a few Negronis during a mid day Lun-Der at 3:00 pm. The new room decorated in greens and white, comfortable, good service, Mayfair prices to be expected.

We had a lunch(6 Oct.) at Langan's celebrating a friend's milestone birthday. Prior to the lunch, my wife and I sat at the bar drinking a couple of glasses of wine while we waited for the lunch to be set up. The bartender, Abi(?), happily chatted with us and made the time waiting much more enjoyable. He certainly knew his cocktails(my wife peppered him with questions), but was very patient and friendly. We thought of him as a great introduction to your wonderful staff. The lunch itself was superb-excellent quality food, friendly and attentive service. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend Langan's for any occasion. Sunday's lunch brought back some lovely memories-I first visited Langan's about 1985 and have returned many times since.

The service was very good. The food was generally good. What was very surprising however is the fact that this famous name should stoop to use frozen fries coated in artificial food additives. Really? Really?? Can’t even prepare fries?

Great service, great food and great environment. If you want to find a place for dating or for business lunch, here would be the perfect place. Recommend “English breakfast” and all the deserts. Can’t describe how good they are. Ps. Smelled the fish and chips on other clients’ table and it really smell so so so good!! Will throw a try next time for sure!!!

I booked online for an early dinner. I was promptly seated in their attractive dining room. Service was excellent and attentive. I enjoyed a wonderful martini and ordered chicken Kiev which is very hard to find on menus in the US. I was told it took more time to prepare than other entrees but it was worth the wait. Crunchy coating and melt in your mouth chicken. I like desserts so ordered a fig soufflé, again not something I can get in the US. Wonderful and perfectly prepared. I had a fine evening and highly recommend this restaurant.

A sophisticated restaurant with a long-standing history, offering exquisite French cuisine. The Beef Wellington was outstanding, with perfectly cooked beef wrapped in flaky pastry. The escargot was also a highlight, rich in flavor and prepared to perfection. This place is ideal for those seeking a luxurious French dining experience in an elegant, historic setting.

Great place to dine in a classic 50s era venue-our hotel recommended we dine here and it did not dissapoint! Had a desire for USA beef and their Creekstone farms steak hit the spot! Wife enjoyed her vegetarian meal as well Great apps, great food and service as well! Highly recommend!

Dining at Langan’s Brasserie was a delightful experience from start to finish. The cozy, elegant ambiance set the perfect tone, and the attentive service made me feel privileged. The oysters were fresh and briny, the classic onion soup rich and comforting, and the beef Wellington was perfectly cooked—juicy and tender with a beautifully flaky pastry. The soufflé for dessert was light, airy, and the perfect ending. Paired with Tokyo Daisy, the meal was a true treat.

We had a wonderful night here. Food was delicious service was excellent. Authentic French food perfect for dressing up nights. My favourites are beef tartare and beef wellington, and oysters are so fresh. French onion soup is surprisingly good. If you're looking for wine, they have really great Chablis. Location is perfect just opposite green park station.

Beautifully designed restaurant with private dining room and private club. Great service and tasty menu. The place has a bar area on the ground floor and stylish private club upstairs divided into three separate yet linked areas.

Maybe I went on a bad night or chose wrong but my zucchini flower was undercooked and the risotto a bit dull. Would recommend sticking to the ‘staples’ when ordering

An incredible restaurant, everything is perfect, the attention from the moment you enter the door, the service is very friendly and I loved the detail for my birthday, I had not said it but I imagine that when filling out the reservation form through an app, they knew but I loved it. Their food is 10 and the location is perfect, without a doubt a good experience that I highly recommend. Thank you Langan’s brasserie for making me feel special on my day.

Returned after many years absence. Great buzz, but ask for the main restaurant area not the side room. Probably the best veal chop I have had in London and the remainder of our dishes were very good. I complained that the wine measure was mean and it was corrected, think the wine waiter was having a bad night. My wife's starter portion of tuna was miniscule, but she's on diet and perhaps the chef knew. Value, not bad, it's London Mayfair and that isn't cheap! Overall a good evening and we will return.

I've been going to Langan's Brasserie for more than 20 years, since it was owned by Michael Caine and Richard Langan. The recent 'refresh' is in keeping with the original in decor, ambience and cuisine. It's still a wonderful escape in the West End right beside Green Park and the Ritz. Lazy, unhurried with outstanding dishes and equally outstanding food. Highly recommended.
