A great pub, great places to walk from the pub and back for a well earned drink Dog friendly, food is good and great service from a very friendly team. Monthly quiz nights run by Sandra are a lot of fun and raises money for local charities. Great community spirit.

Wow, what a night! Alcohol, quiz, tasty food, friendly professional staff, lots of laughter, - first visit in a while and will definitely be returning! Oh and a brownie to die for!!

We come here at least once a (month for the quiz, and have a meal before.) Food is great, really friendly team and the quiz is a great laugh. Lovely pub for walks and good food.

Super busy Friday. Sandy doing great job running the front of the house. Sam doing great making the coffees and running the bar. Chef Jodie making a fantastic ribeye and at 33% off it would be rude not too. Destiny did great in checking everything ok with the meal. Would highly recommend

We had the best evening last night at the Fox Pub. Jack served us all evening and what a joy he was. Such a character, a total asset to the Fox team. We will be back.

Really lovely meal my friend and I were happy with our dinner and desert. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, service was very responsive. Jake was very friendly and made the meal a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely come back again !

Came here for the first time and it was brilliant! Jack served us and his customer service was absolutely fab, so funny and an ansset to this business without fail! The food was also amazing! And all in all the place was super cosy!

The food was ok but expensive. Was trying to work, and the WiFi was terrible.

Love this pub. Staff are super friendly, food is great and my dog is always welcome. Big thanks to Jack, Katie, Sandra, Sam and Ollie. Not forgetting Dionne (Head Chef) and Elouise! Always welcoming and efficient. If you you like doing pub walks then add The Fox to your list!

I can confidently say it deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. Always greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff are knowledgeable and are happy to offer recommendations. Service was exceptional. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, The Fox is a hidden gem that offers fantastic food, drinks, and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch pub experience.

Very disappointing roast on mother's day which was microwaved. In response to owner nothing bad about the service per se just the food needs looking at in order for me to consider eating there again.

Destiny was my server today. I had dinner with my parents and she was excellent. Laughs all round.

Delicious camembert, loved the crisp bread starter - will definitely be back for those! Pork belly, very tasty seabass with scrumptious prawn in white sauce. Friendly and welcoming waitress, Destiny. Thank you for a memorable evening.

We have been here several times and the food is usually good. However, we quite often find they have run out of certain menu and drink items, so it is worthwhile having a second choice in mind.

Visited this pub yesterday and ordered fish and chips. It wasn’t particularly cheap, when it arrived there was about 9 chips on the plate and the service was appalling. Just thrown on the table without cutlery. It was left on the table for at least 45 minutes after it was finished. Atmosphere was unfriendly overly priced and its drab & rundown. Would not return

Good food, good crowd, dog friendly & family centric.

Took my Dad out for Sunday lunch as last 2 meals there were ok...this time his cottage pie was more or less gravy and mash,my food was cold,roast potatoes were like chewing tough sponges, the cauliflower cheese well cauliflower was stone cold......I think they need a new microwave technician 1 out of 10... floor staff however were lovely

Food was very nice and tasty but a couple of small issues that could be improved on. - why is it not possible to change garlic bread to chips (lasagne)? They both cost the same on the side dish section. - our waitress suggested that we needed extra sauce for the Katsu curry. Yes, she was correct but she didn’t tell us that it costs extra. If you admit that it could do with extra sauce it would be best to serve it with more sauce to start with or tell people that you’re charging them. Would definitely come back in the area though. As I said small niggles but overall very pleasant experience.

Lovely food, top notch Mocha coffee I've ever had anywhere in Surrey. Great quality food. Can I make a request to turn the music down a bit, as sometimes it is a little intrusive in some parts of the seating area near the door. Otherwise it's lovely.

Very expensive food for what you get, then to put 10% discretionary charge on the bill after that. Gave it another try No different just as expensive very poor portions size. Be better off going to McDonald's. Eton mess was just a plate of cream. Will not go there again.

Just came in for drinks so can't rate the food, but what I saw, and the menu, I can't wait. But for the real ale, it was lovely. Great atmosphere and lovely staff!

Stopped in for some lunch, and saw a hoisin duck pizza on the menu, so chose that with some onion rings to share. When it eventually arrived we were disappointed, there was nothing exactly wrong with the pizza, the base was nice and crispy, but if the duck had been less mushy it would have been better, and the hoisin flavour was very faint , it could have been improved with some sauce added on top. The place was clean, and the bar great for dog walkers, but it lacked any atmosphere and whilst the staff were polite, they were not exactly friendly. All in all will probably not go back.

Very expensive for a pub lunch..we didn't even have alcohol and the bill came to around £45 per person

I was on a hike nearby when one of the locals recommended going to this pub and what a recommendation! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. The food portion size was huge and it tasted delicious as well. You can’t go wrong with well cooked English staples and this pub knows how to deliver. Hopefully I get to hike nearby soon so I can visit again

Nice pub, tad pricey and outside could do with a bit of tlc, but overall would go back.Big outdoor area, but bit cold when we went.

Really lovely food and atmosphere. staff super helpful so I could use WiFi. Destiny and Eloise looked after us well. If you're there and wanting something a bit lighter - the chicken, bacon and avocado salad was amazing.

Really well decorated for Christmas, asked if we could have a Christmas Cracker for my young sons and staff happy to oblige. Friendly, good food and fair value. AND FINALLY a good guest ale rather than the boring usual mainstream yawn ales.

Really enjoyed our meal. Lovely waitresses really friendly especially Eloise and Destiny. Fast service Only spoiled by barking dogs in the bar area.

Fabulous service provided by the delightful Eloise. She very proactive by recommending alternatives to menu items that were unfortunately unavailable. A credit to the establishment.

Food was so good, we only gave 4 stars because we felt the pizza was not worth the high price and the steak and ale pie meat was a bit tough but tasty. Eloise and Destiny served us and did a brilliant job. They made us feel welcome and were extremely attentive and efficient when it came to our needs.

We are great fans of The Fox, Coulsdon Common & would recommend it to everyone. We had delicious food (always is!) & were really well looked after by Destiny & Eloise. They were friendly, smiley & attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming & it is dog-friendly, which is, to my mind, a winner. Come & try it….pub classics but with a high end twist.

We have been to the fox a few times recently and I can say each visit has been a pleasure. Each time our meals have been delicious and service has been great. Today our waitress was Destiny, she was friendly and efficient. Well done to Jake and his team for turning the Fox into a lovely place to visit. We will be returning again

Great night out for birthday treat , this was the second outing to the pub this year and last Sundays lunch was great . Tonight’s 80s themed live band combined with 50% off mains deal enticed us back and we weren’t disappointed. Service was very good Destiny and Katie looked after us despite being a very busy evening. Will further events .

First visit. Sunday lunch. The Fox is a good honest pub/ restaurant. Service was welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food arrived quickly, was hot and tasty; the lamb rump was delicious, slightly pink, meltingly soft and very tasty. Puddings were very tasty. I opted for coffee and mini pud (apple and mince crumble with proper custard) and was pleased I did. A really enjoyable lunch and good value for money. We'll be back soon. KD

We had an excellent Sunday lunch today….the roast beef and potatoes delicious. The kids menu and food was good. The atmosphere was warm, cosy & inviting. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Booked a table for 4 Christmas Day was told we had to pay a week before for meal or booking would not be secure. Daughter paid a week before, never heard of paying for a service before we’ve had it but did not want to lose table. Meal was ok not great was so rushed we were served and out within 40 min and you had the cheek to charge £30 service charge will never eat here again because of this

What has happened to the Fox pub. We have had good meals there for many months. Sadly last night was by pretty much rubbish. Firstly ambiance and service are good. The food was not good. I had the turkey from festive menu which was overpriced The veg were soggy that included the potatoes and parsnips. The Yorkshire was tough. The gravy was cold. Turkey meat was ok. The meat pie had very tough meat. The steak was chewy. Many choices on the menu were unavailable very bad planning in a Saturday night at 6 Such a shame as food had got so much better.

Had a wonderful group xmas meal here. Service and food were great, wonderful portion sizes and good value for money
