Came here for lunch with my family on Monday. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. Staff were great, will be returning

This place is just so cosy after a walk in the valley. Staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming. The sandwiches are lovely too and great value for money, we didnt realise they came with fries which was even better! The fairy lights in side and the cost fires are lovely. Yes the outside can do with a touch of paint but after speaking to the bartender about it - he advised it was getting done in the spring next year! We will certainly be coming back soon

Great food Warm and atmospheric vintage restaurant Excellent service Jack was friendly funny and personable which made a difference to our dining out experience.. He worked efficiently and looked after our table of nine well

Will definitely be coming back very soon and that’s all because of Katie, her service was amazing and to be honest the real reason I will be coming back. The fox are very lucky to have someone like Katie part of the team!!!

This venue is very cozy and left a very good impression on the people I bring there. Hospitable hosts & delicious food. Would like to thank Destiny in particular for being such a wonderful worker, made our visit even more worthwhile the travelling! I recommend to everyone! I will be coming back here many times over the winter period!

We had Sunday lunch at The Fox to celebrate a family birthday. We were given a lovely big table that gave us lots of space. The atmosphere was really chilled- we could take our time and enjoy our meal. The waiters were really attentive and friendly whilst still giving us space. We were served by Katie and Destiny, who were very thoughtful with special requests that we had.

A warm welcome by genuinely lovely friendly people. We usually call in at least once weekly to sample the good selection of beers and food on offer. It's a lovely relaxing atmosphere where you can watch the world pass by and enjoy an excellent choice of meals and drinks. There is plenty of free parking on site. Lynn

I went here for lunch with the girls and as always we had the best food, best service and the best time. The vibes is so cute and we want to make this a regular outing!

After a chilly walk, we visited The Fox and were greeted by a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, complete with warm fires that made us feel right at home. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, and every dish exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend The Fox for anyone looking for great food in a charming setting.

Not great. Food was typical chain-pub quality, adequate but nothing special. However, the pub itself was very uncared for, outside seating areas were horrible, unfinished meals and drink glasses left on tables not cleared away, smell was disgusting at some, even though weather was nice we just couldn’t sit outside amongst that mess. Inside was slightly better but the whole place felt run down, uncared for and so dark. And unfortunately the gents toilets were disgustingly dirty. Staff were all pleasant and service was good, I think they were just too busy to look after the place. Will def not be returning here 😏

Stopped in after a dog walk. Dogs are welcome inside and in the beer garden, lots of dog bowls for water. You can order using a QR code or at the bar. There isn't much signal in the garden so the QR code option is quite slow. We ordered a mix of starters and sides. The Brie bites were wonderful but I probably wouldn't have the haloumi fries again - they were a bit dry. Good choice of alcohol too.

Took tne grandsons for lunch. 4 and 6yrs. We greeted with a smile by a young man.He double checked we needed 2 children's menus. However no crayons , much to young ones disgust. We ordered by app . We didn't have to wait long. Both boys ordered the fish and chips. The fish was a perfect size. Side dish was crudités sticks. It was well presented and tasty ,plates were cleared and thumbs up given. We ordered fish and chips and the hunters chicken snitzel. Absolutely delicious , good portions. We ordered desert at the bar . It arrived quite quickly Overall a very stress free visit with delicious food.

Stopped at the Fox whilst on a walk. Good range of beers and had both a bar snack menu as well as a proper restaurant. Large beer garden and good parking as well. We only had cider and a sausage roll to eat which was excellent.

Very nice country pub, with a good garden out the back and seats out the front where you can watch the gliders from the aerodrome. Nice inside too with a fire in winter. Good beers at a reasonable price.

Excellent location. Car park convenient. Food is good. Service is professional. Chairs are somewhat uncomfortable. Wheelchair access. Toilets are clean. Our regular haunt. Highly recommend this pub/ restaurant.

I stopped coming to the fox many years ago when it went right downhill Glad to say my visit this time was wonderful and I highly recommend it here We were served by two lovely girls Elouise and Destiny They couldn’t do enough for us And were very attentive thank you girls Also met the manager who was very nice Will definitely return Welcome back the fox Good to see you again

Lovely experience. Beautifully authentic pub with a calm atmosphere at lunchtime. Servers were very attentive, particularly our one (Destiny). The fish and chips was divine.

Visited The Fox again, had a fantastic meal with my wife, absolutely excellent food, served to us by the wonderful Katie who was lovely and professional in equal measures,

lovely food and atmosphere but nothing compared to the service me and my partner had from the very lovely and amazing Katie. We will definitely be coming back because of her outstanding service, she went over and above for us and really knows her stuff recommend a beautiful bottle of white wine. Katie was our host, very knowledgeable of the menu as I had a lot of questions and she knew all the answers straight away. Her service was great, and the food arrived in very good time and quality. I'll definitely be back for the Pineapple spritz she recommended also. Delicious
