I’ve been coming to the crown for years I love it here amazing as always

My God. This place isn’t just any old pub. You think you know what a pub can be until you step into The Crown. You’ll never be the same again. Expectations? Obliterated. Standards? Redefined. I ordered a single lemonade vodka, not expecting much, but what did I receive? A chalice of pure bliss. When I took that first sip, I knew…everything I’d ever done was leading to this. The Crown doesn’t just serve drinks.. no no… it serves unforgettable moments. It creates lifelong memories. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Drag your neighbour out of their house if you must. The atmosphere? Electric. The staff? Legends. THE PUB QUIZ?!?!? I laughed so hard I almost needed medical attention. To anyone who will listen…go. Go to The Crown. Do whatever it takes. This place isn’t just a pub. It’s holy ground. Its essential. It’s a way of life.

I come here regularly with my friends and it always has a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely as well!

We had lunch there the staff were great but the food was terrible, one had pie with chips instead of mash but still came with cabbage & carrots the pie was so hard you could not cut it the veg was raw very poor, aslo order was a cheese burger and chips when it came out with no cheese the cheese soggy bun and I counted 6 chips. We have been here before and had a much better experience so don't know what went wrong today!but unfortunately we will.not be returning.

Service is poor with a long wait. (Over an hour) Tables not cleaned and generally tatty, chairs torn, lampshades all bent. It could be such a good pub. Update. We were there last night and nothing has changed. 3 people behind the bar and with no one at the counter it still took nearly 5 mins to get served.😡 Another update. Bar staff are still not apparent but when you do there's one in particular that is very good. Tall guy with glasses, seams to know his stuff. Another update 19/05 , 5 bar staff and none trying ro serve. More interested in filling shelves and glasses 😔. On the upside there's a good atmosphere. Update 11/02. This pub has finally found a member of staff (BEN) who actually wants to serve customers. They are normally more interested in stacking shelves and collecting glasses. Well done Ben.😀 Update. This place is going to close for a refurb. Let's hope they change their attitude as well.

Nice pub, plenty of parking, comfy leather chairs but are very worn and need replacing, staff very friendly and efficient with service, special thanks to Jae for making a first class cocktail 🍸, long wait for food (40 minutes) so didn't bother ordering, don't forget to enter your car reg details at the bar, nice garden at the rear with plenty of seating, would come again.

Lovely staff and they did everything to help make our Easter Sunday lunch with our children and their grandparents really special. Food arrived really quickly and our children loved the garden chalets to sit in which had nice heaters which made the adults happy, too.

I had a laugh with the staff food came out great and hot Jermaine had excellent customer service

Just went for a meal today waited nearly an hour for my food and when we did get our food it was cold Overcooked and dry

Visited with my Aunt and Cousin - post my Dad's funeral. Food took way too long to arrive. And now I've received a £60 parking fine for parking in the car park. Perhaps it's obvious but we were chatting and hugging as we came in from the car. perhaps we should have seen something in the car park. But we didn't see it. And we weren't prompted by staff. I'm assuming (as I still don't know) that you need to do something to verify that you're okay to park there. I don't know - didn't see anything on the menus. I'm from out of area, my elderly aunt doesn't drive, my cousin was over from Australia - so no local knowledge on it. Well done for making a sad event even worse.

What is there to like about this place? An app that doesn't work, rude bar staff, car park cordons hidden in the dark. We gave up and went elsewhere for our meal. 100% do not recommend.

No staff and no stock of the food we required. Took 5 mins to get acknowledged when arriving then 10 more before I eventually went to the bar to see about ordering then to be told they didn’t have it.

Had a really pleasant meal from the lunchtime menu. We did reserve a table but not really sure that we really needed to. The gammon was perfect, service good. Will definitely return.

I booked a table for one, and the table is helpfully marked with the time of booking and the customer's Christian name. I ordered my meal and, once the kitchen was 'open' 10 minutes later, I didn't have to wait too long for my Hunter's Chicken Schnitzel meal, which I enjoyed. I happily used my 33%-off-mains voucher! The staff were friendly.

A second time visit on a Friday with two friends, had food, we all finished our plates then onto desserts, no complaints. The service was great and staff very friendly and cheerful even towards closing time! :) We will definitely go again!

Absolutely disappointing service - 2 hours we set there. First course came no problem but than straight after dessert came - explained we haven't had mains yet. 45 mins later still no food when we asked said they will look into and than dessert came again but we are still waiting for our mains......

Wasn't informed about ordering food at bar. 4 people and food arrived separately. Not happy with food. It was an awful experience. Steak like rock Ordered breaded mushrooms but came up battered and burnt. Not one person came to check table. We've actually moved to area we were very disappointed

Several of my friends and I visited The Crown for my friends birthday. We had the most fantastic time and were served by the wonderful Ben. He served us with a huge smile all evening - thanks for making our night Ben!
