Super Fryer fish & Chips in Croydon

Chips very under cooked not a nice colour no gold brown parts and mushy Sausage over cooked

Food was lovely, partner said one of the best fish cakes he has ever had! Only thing that let use down was the sauces was quite watery and flavourless, might be with how late we ordered but other than that lovely!!

This is was a poor experience im afraid although it was cooked well and nothing wrong with taste. My issue today was that of size, i ordered a Large Cod... I got a cod, but it was the size of a large sausage, very disappointed this is my local chip shop and normally i rave about it but today not so. I dont have fish from her often my wife does and has no complaints but according to online a large fish pre batter should be approx 9oz... Mine was nowhere near this and id worn anyone to be cautious, i ordered delivery so was not able to see it prior, clearly a mistake i wont repeat.

Great food. AUTHENTIC indian dishes. Chef have not altered the flavours/ingredients, so u get Real Indian dishes. Great service as well. Highly recommended.

I wouldn't go there at all cold chips 2 pound fifty for a breaded fish cake what a joke there pies are microwaved and when you complain they laugh at you and blame inflation

Waited 2 hours for it to be delivered for then the delivery driver to ring up when he’s sat outside my house cos he won’t get out car cos it’s raining what a joke !!!

Food is cooked to order so expect a wait. The staff are very friendly and the curry sauce is amazing. Parking can be a challenge but its well worth finding a parking space along the High Street if you are driving.

Curry didn't taste of anything especially not curry.

Worst customer service ever. Asked for something just to be told nah. Can't have it. Takes long to cook. Well I'll take my custom else where how rude!

Takes too long or never turns up!! Rings the shop to be fobbed off saying driver is on the street should be with you with in 2-3minutes what a joke never again!!

I came here with my sister for fish and chips. Service was friendly and quick. The fish was quite large and the portion of chips huge.

Disgusting, fish 70% batter 30 % cod,soggy cold chips, cans ordered given smaller size but paid for larger size delivery price is extortionate never never will i buy from here again,had good food in the past gone downhill one star so i could post

When we normally get fish and chips from them it's good but normally we have a small fish and chips but this time I fancied a change and ordered haddock only to find a pice of what I can only call bone in the fish I wish I could share a picture with you

Ordered food at 6:08pm after 2 calls to find where order is finally recieved at 8:12pm as driver had to stop because it was raining AND TO ADD HE was rude. The food was cold ,order was incomplete. Everything was soggy and horrible ,we ended up getting refund through uber , thrown all in bin and cooked our own food . WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN FROM THEM.

Chips was okay but fish was really greasy

Turned up an hour late with large cod meal missing, said they would get it sent out. Been waiting another hour. Would not reccoment. Food is below average aswell.

Ordered tonight, showed up relative quickly. However upon opening the order we notice that a portion of chips and a pot of curry sauce were missing. We called and the lady on the phone said they would send them out. Skip to 1 1/2 hours later, I called again because the replacement hadn't arrived. She then proceeded to tell me, the driver had been sent 30 minutes ago, and had since been back to collect another delivery. I stated that I hadn't got them and all she could say was, I've done what I said I'd do, I'm not sending the driver out again. So I assume the delivery driver ate my food . . . .twice. It's a pity too, as they are a lovely takeaway normally

The food tasted so good. Didn't realise a few of the items came with chips so we had more than enough for a great price! Fish was huge. Definitely don't need to order too much to fill your belly.

The 5 star is not just for the lovely fish and chips, but also the staff. Have to note the manager is an excellent representation of his business. Very welcoming on each of my visits.

Ordered from here for first time tonight through just eat ...said food would be delivered at 8 had to ring them 3 times finally got food at 8.40 to find 2 large fish and large chips was missing from our order..such a shame as food was delicious just the service was totally rubbish and didnt get an apology for missing food ..they did bring out missing items quick but not the point when waited so long ...

Between average and poor. Purley hasn’t really got any decent fish and chip shops. This place was overpriced, small portions with below average food in our opinion. Hardy’s fish and chips up by sanderstead will be our go to chippy. Much fresher and better value. Sorry super fryer.

Ordered chicken tikka and got skins and fat from chicken drowning in fat oil ! Disgusting ! They used to have nice food.

Good cod and chips. Not oily. Fish nice and crispy. Only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is price for portion. I’ve had just as good for cheaper and bigger portion.

Used to work here 40 years ago under different management so was intrigued when passing last week to notice that the place is still a Fish & Chip shop. I went for the haddock and chips both of which were cooked fresh in front of me and everything was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection, the portions were more than enough and the prices all be it a little more than I'm used to paying where I live on the south coast, were in my opinion very reasonable considering business rates etc. Whilst waiting for the food I had a long chat with the owner who is a lovely chap who really loves his business and has great customer focus and a service mindset. I'll certainly come back for more next time I'm passing.

Randomly raises the prices change the price 3 time over the space of 2 weeks, was very rude when I said that's not what you usually charge also sell smoked sausage off as spam and the chips are either dry and stale or soggy worse chippy this side of donny

Always fresh fish on offer, well priced and very tasty. Run by a lovely family too who deserve the business.

The dark-brown tiles interior probably seemed retro when Superfryer was established back in 1930.Their fish and chips are cook to order.Try rockfish as a stronger-flavoured alternative to cod,and their curry sauce are very tasty.
