Nice and quick - but I'd rather it was a bit slower and they took the time to check they had packed everything! Leaving out the chips from a chip supper is ridiculous! An refund does little to address ruining our dinner!

My kids won’t go anywhere else for chips. Chips are always perfect and crispy, the curry sauce is very good, all the prices are reasonable, very important to me the owners are super helpful and friendly.

First time ordering from here and really wasn’t disappointed. Portions sizes are huge even when ordering medium chips. Battered sausage and saveloy were much bigger than other take aways. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re after great food.

I've been around for more than 50yrs and this was by far the best fish and chips, the chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, the fish was cooked to perfection. I will be ordering again, many thanks for my dinner.

I had 2 pies and chips delivered from here. It was expensive and both pies were stone cold. The chips were plentiful but horrible. I grew up just around the corner from here and Sergio and his wife would be horrified at the poor quality the new owners are selling. I WILL NEVER be using this place again!

Recently visited this local gem for their highly praised fish and chips, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The moment I walked in, I was struck by the absence of the typical heavy oil scent that’s common in many fish and chip shops – a clear indication that they regularly change their oil, maintaining a high standard of freshness and quality. The fish itself was encased in a light and crispy batter that was simply perfect – crunchy on the outside yet not overpowering the delicate fish within. The taste of the fish was sublime, fresh and cooked to perfection, easily making it a standout. But let’s not forget the chips! They were a delightful balance of fluffy on the inside and wonderfully crispy on the outside. Each bite was a pleasing mix of textures and flavors, well-seasoned and incredibly satisfying. Overall, the taste was fantastic, with none of that residual oiliness you sometimes find elsewhere and the service was fantastic with a smile. This place really knows their craft and it shows in every aspect of their food. Easily some of the best fish and chips I’ve had – highly recommended

Disappointing, minimum payment of £10 by card. Twice I have gone at 8pm and they have told me they don’t have any chips and then when other people come in ordering large fish and chips they suddenly have enough chips. I can only assume they don’t like it if you only buy chips??? Fortunately addiscombe has other chips shops and Ozzies is much better and its minimum payment is £1 and they always seem to have chips, even after 8pm!

I have used this shop since god was a boy and owned by Andreous a span of about 40 years, Adreous was a hard act to follow but the new people have cracked it.

Extremely pale jumbo sausage, cold saveloy, everything tastes like burnt old oil. Spent about £30 on food that wouldn’t even reach McDonalds standards. Oh and missing drink & item!

20 minutes waiting in store for a large chips. Not the first time this has happened. They prioritise large orders. Might be fair enough but they’ve lost my large orders in the future.

I am always greeted with a smile by the owners and employees and whenever I ask for extra sauce or napkins they are always friendly and deliver. The food is phenomenal. I’ve tried the cheeseburger, scampi, cod, haddock, plaice and rock and EVERY SINGLE TIME they deliver quality. The chips are outside this world and so are the halloumi and nuggets. Honestly read some of the reviews and don’t know why they’ve said some of the stuff they have - they are the cleanest, friendliest, loveliest at their job and you can tell they care about their customers and food quality. Been to the chip shop before, but this time the chips weren't the best. Not in a hurry to return.

Excellent service. Food arrived on time. I ordered medium cod and chips, couldn't eat it all as more than enough chips. It was still hot when delivered. I have ordered quite a few times from this shop and will continue to do so. Highly recommended. The best fish and chip shop around this area.

Jumbo sausages nor jumbo anymore. The fish haddock didn’t look like a large. On the plus side , chips were good though not the usual chunky.

Great food. When I ordered on Uber eats it gave a selection for sauces; I got a bottle of mayo £3.50 I didn’t get a bottle but 5 sachets! I called and complained; I don’t have fingers and couldn’t open it! I wasn’t impressed and the lady wasn’t bothered and said that’s why we gave you 5 as we sell them at £1. 👎🏽

I usually buy fish and chips from Mcdermotts up at Selsdon, but they were closed so I ordered cod and chips from happy Dolphin. Absolutely amazing best cod and chips I’ve ever tasted and it’s nice to see it was delivered in cardboard box rather than polystyrene

Rock was overdone, didn’t feel fresh as batter was heavy and dry. Quarter pounder came with no onion or sauce as ordered so was sadly presented with just the burger in a bap. Wouldn’t recommend for the price. Partner called but no interest was taken. My son though enjoyed the chicken fillet burger but not the sausages. Hate it when good money is spent only to be disappointed. You learn by your mistakes so won’t use again.

Chips were not as nice as last time. Skin was left on and they were not as crisp. Batter on sausage was far too thick and greasy

Lovely food. Good portion size. Did not have the bottle of drink we ordered so sent us 4 cans instead, which we actually preferred. Would 100% order again.

I`ve had better from this restaurant on every previous order. On this occasion the size of the fish, for `large`, was not as big as usual and it would seem it had been overcooked, the batter being dark and very crisp. Although disappointed, I will, no doubt, give them a try sometime in the future, to see if this was just a `one off`.

Used to be good,gone right down hill,and your not allowed to use the salt n vinegar, very strange note: I almost believed your reasoning, then realised ,you still accept cash,wich will be far more contaminated, why not spend 5 pound on 2 more shakers

Saveloys were grey inside, my daughter got food poisoning from the chicken burger. Really fallen away in quality since change from Andreous. Also don't ask to use the salt or vinegar, the guy becomes all powerful..."I do the salt and vinegar!" Happy to handle your cash though! Thanks for the feedback, however...saveloys are NOT grey unless theyve left in the water for an excessive amount of time...there's a reason you havent sold any chicken burgers recently and to use "cross contamination" to prevent people from putting their condiments on is ridiculous. Good luck but we will not be returning.

There were 2 pieces of chicken only and about 8-10 wings. There were no chips in the chicken box. Later I found a note attached that there were no more pieces of chicken promising to add more next time. The large chips felt more like a medium size.

Really friendly customer service, food portions are incredible & that’s not even mentioning how tasty the cod is!! Hands down, easily the best fish & chips I’ve ever had.

Really good customer service. Generous portions, definitely one of the best fish and chip shops in london and cleanliness is a priority... 5 stars is an understatement I drive 3 plus miles to be fully satisfied everytime.

First part of order was fine, they forgot the chips had to wait further fifteen minutes by then the other food was luke warm!!

The fish was quite oily and the salad that used to come with the cod bites was missing entirely. I had added a note to the restaurant about that but they didn't bother to send any nor tell the delivery driver why no salad.

Expensive chips but worth the price! Savoloy could have been a bit better though

I ordered 2 saveloys and 1 cod and chips. There was no fish delivered. I called the chip shop to be told I have to order another one and get a refund. Now the whole order is cold and I've got to go and collect from another shop. I will never use them again. The guy at the shop was not interested and had no sympathy that our meal was cold and I had to reorder somewhere else. Disgusting service and attitude. A customer lost and I will make sure everyone I know doesn't spend thier hard earned cash there.

the food never turned up. i have been charged for it and would like a refund. i contacted the resturant to be told Just Eat had told the carrier to return the order to the shop.

I`ve not been to their restaurant, but had many deliveries. Excellent quality food, reasonably priced and delivered to time. It would be difficult to fault it.

All good apart from the steak and onion pie which was stone cold! Fortunately I have a microwave, but it rather defeats the point of buying from a shop at £4.90 when I could buy the same thing in a supermarket for 1/3rd of the price. Silly mistake!
