Don’t know where to start. Perfect lovely location. Great service by good staff. Good selection of ales. Just awesome neighbourhood area. Its creating amazing atmosphere. Even it was cold but i love to sit out and enjoy the street view.prices are bit high but goes good according to area. Worth to visit.

We went to try the award winning pies. Pie was good although steak was a bit fatty, the gravy was geat. But for £17 I would expect more than two wrinkly carrots and half tablespoon of mash potatoes. It's a shame...definitely not worth the money

Food was great! Club sandwiches for a really good price. Fish n Chips were tasty.

Phoned them to book a table as needed to watch the rugby before a concert! Helpful staff confirmed this would be fine. Nice food, good beer and friendly service. Will happily be back next time I'm in Islington

It was our very first time in the pub, but maybe it won't be the last one. We arrived prior to go to a theatre play and we got what we needed... Food and drinks! The steak pay was delicious, and the burger was really tasty. I don't know if you need to book, because it's a quiet popular place in an active street. We were very lucky getting a table just when somebodies else were leaving.

Nice boozer with friendly service and a pleasant - though not really cosy - vibe. Unfortunately the Guinness did not impress.

In this day and age it’s hard to find a pub that both atmospheric and vibrant. This is all due to the super star bar staff, Marsela. She made our pub crawl!!!

Pedimos pasteles - bueno, ninguno de ellos eran auténticos y sabrosos. Fue una pena. Los clientes locales son bastante jóvenes, la música es una cosa aleatoria de radio 4, no había un ambiente en particular en ese pub.

The staff at The York are extremely friendly and made our night ! A massive thank you to Claire who ensured our group had a great night and looked after us even though we had a big group with no booking. We will def be back !!!

Claire was PHENOMENAL- such great bar service and joined in on all of our fun and really added to our experience. We were a big loud group and she welcome us with open arms!

Decent Nicholson's pub near to the Angel Station and O2 Islington. A pint of landlord will set you back £6.50. This one has some seating outside as well.

Such a joke landlord and her cat! Honestly the way that cat danced was so hot. Recommend to any cat / pub / pie / bursesque enthusiasts👀🍖

It's a place we go to often and love, especially if you're out and about. The location is amazing. Pepper and beer are a great combination.

Great pub, great food and great staff! Big shout out for the bangers mash and gravy, was lush. Winnie (dog) always welcome , always seeking her treat.

Great pub, with a great location just up the road from the Angel underground station. A good lively atmosphere, great choice of ale, and very smart decor. A bit pricey, but I can live with that.

Easy reservation on The York website - table for eight for a family lunch. Tasty food and good service. The bar staff set up a tab for me and payment was easy. A traditional pub that's just a two-minute walk from Angel tube station. Definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely time guys !!!

Cliente habitual. Solía ser un gran lugar para una bebida después del trabajo y han pasado muchos años viniendo. El personal solía hacer este lugar especial y realmente hizo de la experiencia lo que nos encantó. Últimamente se ha ido mucho personal. En particular, un gerente calvo de larga data y un camarero joven con el que habíamos hecho una buena conexión a lo largo de los años de los cuales siempre hizo un esfuerzo especial para cuidar de nosotros y se hizo tiempo para hacer conversaciones amistosas incluso en un fin de semana cuando estaban más ocupados. Desde su partida, el personal de reemplazo se ha convertido en un problema. Un gerente con cabello rojo / jengibre es increíblemente grosero cada vez que hemos estado y el personal regular del bar es miserable y difícil de entender. Siento que es solo un parche, pero cabe señalar si visita en un futuro próximo. Los precios son buenos para el centro de Londres y el lugar siempre está limpio y bien surtido.

Popped in for a beer on my way to my hotel, the Premier Inn in Angel.

We had a terrific time at this pub! The energy, lighting, and music great such a great vibe! Randeep was a wonderful server and even gave us great suggestions on things to do!! We will definitely be coming here again soon.

I booked a table at The York a few days ago because I know Angel really well and so I've walked past the pub so many times. When I walked in I was welcomed by the staff and within a few minutes I had a pint in my hands. The York is quite a big pub, there is plenty of room inside and there are tables outside for when the sun shines twice a year 😁 The York is near angel station so it's in a very good location. If you're in the area, come to the York pub 😊

I recently visited The York in Angel, London, and I can confidently say it was one of the best pub experiences I've had in the city. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The decor strikes the perfect balance between traditional charm and modern comfort, with cozy seating and a stylish bar area.

Friendly staff, excellent drinks, and delicious, hearty British food. The perfect spot for a pint or a full meal. Highly recommended!

Staff were fun, approachable and interactive. We came in for drinks and to watch the Olympics, the staff really got into the spirit with us and created a great atmosphere to drink and enjoy!

I enjoyed how the pub was originally surrounded by fields (in 1851).
