Staff SO nice in all respects but we were particularly impressed on this occasion by Lily from Blackpool. So helpful and such a lovely, warm young lady.

For my first time in this pub it was an absolutely lovely experience, a very friendly atmosphere with kind bar staff (in particular Tatum who served us the whole night). Will definitely be frequenting.

I come here every fortnight with family for our sunday meetup .all of your staff are amazing ,helpful and friendly .an absolute credit to the establishment .the member of staff with the natural curls iaona (not sure if spelt correctly is always so pleasant &helpful)

The door staff are the worst: homophobic and ACTUAL pushing us as we walked out!! I have to say that I have attended your venue for years with friends, family, parents and grandparents, but never before have I been treated homophobically by the door staff. I attended your venue this evening with my husband and friend for his 40th. As we were leaving, your two Asian door staff stood purposefully in our way as to block us from exiting. When we manoeuvred past them, they proceeded to put their hands on us and push us towards the exterior of the building adjacent. To be manhandled in this way is actually devastating and I am truly lost for words. I genuinely thought your door staff were on some ego trip and clearly not doing their actual job. It definitely became a status symbol and has clearly made them think they are invincible. Due to this event, I shall disseminate to all of my friends and family that this is not the venue to frequent ever due to the narrow minded door staff. I am appalled that we are living in a society where this is acceptable.

The worst poured pint of Guinness ever! The creamy head was at the half pint mark. Was not left to settle before finishing pouring by the barmaid with long dreadlocks. She needs to be trained properly and advised how to pour a proper pint of Guinness .

Great pub atmosphere with very nice, and abundant outdoor seating. Some bartenders are nice, some not so much. Don’t get the cocktails though 🫠

Always lovely staff, despite changing frequently (good training maybe). Our go to pub in Angel after the Nags Head became that nasty "Beat One" cocktail bar over the road. One star off due to large increases in prices over that last year - someones being greedy. Bring back the happy hour! Edit: who makes the prices? Greene King? 5 stars for the staff and lovely traditional pub.

What a night at the Camden Head! The drinks were flowing, the vibes were spot on, and the real MVP? Tatum behind the bar! She kept us well-hydrated, laughed at our terrible jokes, and somehow managed to remember our orders better than we did. Absolute legend! Can’t wait to come back — mainly to see if she can handle round two of our nonsense!

Visit started well with good service and nice atmosphere but all changed as a different member of staff decided to close one side of the bar at 21.50 and abruptly started shouting "Move round other side, this area is closing " on a Fri night with a busy pub and comedy club in Islington... unbelievable. Left a sour taste and lasting impression.

Been here several times for the free comedy evenings and have to say that it is always a laugh! You're not going to find everyone equally funny, but there is something fun for everyone. Definitely worth it! I can't say much about the food and drinks, but the beer is good 👌

Came along one weeknight to watch an Angel Comedy show. I had so much fun! Really recommend it to anyone else looking for a fun and affordable night out in London.

Lovely little pub, good atmosphere, great staff

Close to my hotel, had a hankering for fish n chips. Camden Head did not disappoint! It was busy around 1530h but the great ladies at the bar let me sit at a "reserved" table in the bar area. A lovely, fresh meal washed down with a couple of Golden Hen ales. Definately worth a visit. There was outside covered seating also but it was too chilly for me that day. Lively bar/restaurant I'd return to next time in London

Located amongst the thrift market stalls and pricey retailers at the end of Camden passage the Camden Head feels like a place for itinerant visitors to Angel rather than a 'local'. Decor and exterior have a bit of old time of charm, at odds with the (actively) very gen z staff. Seem perfectly nice, but I did half expect them to perform a choreographed tik tok dance. I ordered a burger and chips which underwhelmed a lot; overcooked (microwaved from frozen?) and not the best beef. Witherspoon's would have provided something far more satisfying for around half the price.

Very nice afternoon lunch with friendly and polite staff. Cosy little old English pub in a good setting.. Could do with putting a few more West ham games on tho. 🙂

Where do I start, a beautiful, truly eye-opening experience. My time, our time at the Camden head was blissful (although a tad cold due to dysfunctional heaters) it really marked an exceptional end to our pub crawl. The intimate terrace allows for great talks between friends, I recommend everyone to go and open up with your loved ones. ps: the flatliner shot nearly flatlined me :)

If you fancy a good fish and ships or something else this is the right place . The staff is great and they make you feel very comfortable . They are doing a very good job . Good luck !

Wow! I love Islington, and this place was no different! Good food, lovely service and good vibes. The staff were super nice, especially Renata, I think her name was. I could not recommend this place more <3

I went there with my date, as soon as we arrived inside a very friendly staff member (Sara) help us decide the beer for me and specially recommend wine for my girl (which she actually loved) and also recommend the comedy show that we didn’t know was gonna be that night. We sat in a high table next to the bar. The fries were AMAZING super crispy and delicious, the price its ok for the location. To be honest i haven’t laughed like this in a while, the comedians were super easygoing nothing forced and they actually talked to us more than once so we felt super included and comfy. 100% would recommend and come back.

Emilia the legend provided the best service despite cutting her hand. Top notch service at all costs - from the guy that ordered the pints that caused the chaos

Wonderful historic pub in a great area of town blessed with excellent staff, however the smell from the gents toilets is awful even on a dry mild day.

I went here after work with a couple friends to have some drink. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and the worker were friendly, especially Dontaie who provided an amazing service.
