Walked past this pub for years and never thought to pop in...... Went here after a baptism and ended up staying for a comedy show 🤣 Vibes were brilliant and chilled, staff were accommodating and relaxed. Line up for the night were great to boot. Defo a recommend as an off the main road to chill. A hidden gem for sure.

Awesome pub, great bunch of locals, vibrant community, stella open mic night, cosy comedy and decent folk behind the bar. Great music played at all times! Get in there.

🚇 Archway 🍺 £6.00 Martina Lager A Superb Backstreet Community Local. The North Nineteen is located in a quiet residential area sandwiched between Holloway Road and Hornsey Road in Upper Holloway Islington. The nearest Tube is Archway, it’s a ten minute walk to get here. This pub was originally called The Enterprise, built in 1866. The pub was located close by and was demolished by either regeneration or a WWII bomb. The pub was rebuilt and relocated in the early 1960’s. This is a two bar pub that is in the main traditionally decorated with some modern touches here and there. The bar at the front is a good size, has a solid wood servery, plenty of seating and a cosy snug at the back. The back bar which is reminiscent of a traditional Public Bar is slightly smaller and has a pool table and a dartboard. For the warmer months there is an outdoor terrace and benches at the front. The beer selection is a solid mix of familiar keg favourites, Guinness plus beers and cider from local London breweries.I decided on a Martina Lager from North London Czech brewers @bohembrewery . My pint was great, price point was average. No food is served at present. I visited on a mild Saturday afternoon in January. The pub was fairly quiet with a couple of other punters in attendance. I had a lovely chat with the Landlord and Landlady who were telling me all about their welcoming pub. They also told me about how they have been able to offer a better selection of beers to their loyal customers. The N19 hosts weekly Open Mic nights and also Comedy nights throughout the month. The @northnineteen is a superb community boozer with passionate, welcoming and friendly owners at the helm. The beer choice will please most and the environment is that of a backstreet local. This is the friendliest pub i know. every Tuesday is open mic night there and its one of the those pubs you can go into on your own and you will always talk to someone. Almost like a lounge at home.. i love going there and recommend it without a doubt

Always walked by this place and always thought real empty.. however when I did venture in for a pint I discovered a huge space out the back for pool, plus an upstairs, a pub dog and a tasty Guinness definitely worth popping in

My friend had a private party there. The staff was friendly, with a great space to party, also Al little quiet corner for those who want to sit, chat and eat and a nice little bar.

I was greeted by a lovely African American woman who made me feel very welcome. My Thai wife was very comfortable with the numerous English middle aged Stella enthusiasts whom only attacked her physically no more than thrice. Would highly recommend this gem to bring any gen Z toy boys to 😎

This is a local pub for local people. Don't let that you off though: they're friendly and accommodating even to those of us who don't usually venture here. There is the roof top terrace (in-out or through the gents!!) and the bit out front. There is the pool table, and darts. And music / open mic. There is the friendly bar staff and the locals. An ok selection of drinks and tellys for those all-important games. What's not to like?!

Great pub with 2 bars and outdoor terrace and partly covered outdoor seating in the front. Good quality selection of wines, beers and spirits. What makes this pub stand out from others in the area is the very accommodating owners and staff. Spent a wonderful evening at a private party there and everyone was looked after amazingly. Looking forward to going back for a drink and food.

The most loving open mic night I’ve been to in London. Run by a gem named Luke on Tuesday. Lovely!

A hidden gem of a place. A little off the beaten track on a quiet residential street, it's well worth making a trip for. Nice selection of beers, homely comfortable vibe, and wonderfully welcoming staff. The little roof terrace is the clinching detail.

Superb boozer. Tucked away as it Is, this took some finding. Well worth the adventure.

Went here for a friends' party. Great little pub. Friendly staff & an excellent live band played in the main bar. There is a nice little snug where we laid the food out & could sit a bit more quietly. A very decent little boozer

One of my favourite local pubs. Great staff, a fantastic landlord and landlady, a real local vibe, dog-friendly, with an awesome terrace and a huge image of the UK's only honest politician on the wall. What a great boozer!!

Fantastic, fresh sushi and excellent drinks! The sushi chef is an absolute master, and the rooftop garden is one of the most lovely, secluded spots in north London. A true hidden gem!

We have tended to overlook North nineteen in favour of the landseer pub round the corner but have had a couple of very good experiences there now. The Japanese food is delicious, cooked by their in-house chef Toshi, and the pub is worth a visit for that alone. (He makes his own soy sauce!) But on top of that the pub also serves a decent craft beer selection, e.g. Hackney brewery, at v reasonable prices and the setting is nice. There are some decent outdoor seating options on quiet streets, and inside has been nicely done up. They seem to favour slightly rocky playlist, which we have also enjoyed! Definitely worth a visit, although you can also order their sushi to takeaway if you prefer to stay in!

Nice little pub. As you walk in you are met with a amazing motorcycle that’s in a competition to win. Ales are kept well. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Love this pub. Great selection of beers, really friendly staff and probably the best Japanese food I’ve ever tasted in London. I’d go there for the food alone but the atmosphere tops it off. Highly recommend visiting this treasure hidden away from the main road!

Great pub full of friendly locals. Usually easy enough to get a seat, nice beer including two or three guest ales and the food is decent too. Free parking on the street on match days with a 20 minute walk to Arsenal. Pretty good value for money for the area. Update: no longer a real ale pub but there's still some good cask beer. Now a Japanese menu.

I didn’t expect finding a good blues bar back streets of North London. Live music was amazing.

Great little local pub. Have an excellent selection of craft beers at a VERY reasonable price. They have a Japanese kitchen which is delicious. The chicken Katsu curry is gorgeous. A very friendly atmosphere and they allow dogs! There's also an open mic night every other week which is great entertainment and draws quite a crowd.

About time I wrote a review as my bf is a local and we have visited lots of times. Really cosy pub with lovely ambience and cool music. The place serves fresh sushi from a expert sushi chef. It's so delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are very kind and welcoming. Fully recommend!

Fantastic pub! We had a huge turnout for a funeral and the staff were wonderful, catering was amazing and the space itself was brilliant. It's down a side road so it's hidden in a way to the public, but that just makes it a hidden gem to discover!

Love the N19 it is a family run business, has a friendly atmosphere, has become my local even though I have to travel from near Highbury to get there

A great evening here last night at the open mic night. However the landlord kind of ruined it by taking over the mic! Bit of a shame cos the other musicians were great.

Very expensive Pub in Archway playing scratchy Blues music on it's sound system that grates on your nerves but it does have a small roof terrace that is a safe haven!

Small, family run public house catering for all. Extremely clean and well set out to abide with current government guidelines for Covid 19. Good pint of Guiness as well as selection of ales, lagers and spirits.

Went for a Sunday roast with a friend. The worst meal ever, we couldn't eat the beef and the lamb as they were so hard, we struggled to cut and chew. Ended up paying just for veg that didn't look so fresh either.

Went in here for the first time in about a year and pleased to report that the Sunday roast is still excellent. Great little local with friendly staff and sky sports so we were able to watch the cricket while we ate.

Was very dissapointed today Easter Sunday booked a table two days ago we was all looking forward to it went there bought drinks mentioned our booking to be told all the roasts apart from two were gone knew nothing about our booking annoyed was a understatement 😡

Love this place, but I miss the steaks!

I used to love this pub but the Bar man was very rude. He made it quite clear that me and my friends weren't welcome so we went to another pub and had a great lunch and was made to feel welcome. It is a shame because the owner is lovely and always had a smile on his face even when under pressure

Best (and best value) Sunday roast I've had in a pub in a long time. Tasted like good home cooking. Also some good beers, a cosy atmosphere and football shown on a big screen (quietly). One of the best pubs in the area.

This place is home in a foreign country. Tony is the bar owner and Danny is a bartender. I couldn’t ask for better company. Whenever we go to Europe, we start our trip off here!

Muy acogedor pub de ladrillo rojo, a 2 minutos a pie de Holloway Road, a 30 segundos de Hornsey Road. En general, 2 barriles amargos o pale ale, una gran cantidad de cervezas, Guinness también. Muy buena comida de un pequeño menú de especialistas, famosos almuerzos de domingo. Excelente personal amable del bar, y clientes regulares agradables conversadores en general también. Un buen local es un tesoro en estos días, y este pub es un tesoro. Un buen pub de un día de partido también con Sky - BT sports en una pantalla grande. Pero si está pensando en traer más que un mini - bus, los llamaría primero. Muy recomendable. . .

We rocked up on Sunday for a roast.Sunday was shinning parking slot available right outside.Nice looking pub from the outside.Greeted by a lovely barman I think his name was Danny.Ordered two roasts then two desserts.Absolutely divine,worth a visit.

Vine aquí para un domingo asado y no me decepcionó, realmente sabroso, a un precio muy razonable para Londres y las porciones son enormes. El hombre del bar también fue muy amable. No ofrecen específicamente gluten sin gluten pero fueron realmente serviciales y afortunadamente las papas asadas son gf!
