This is one of my favourite places at King's Cross for coffee. It is excellent if you want to work, do your daily admin, read or just enjoy a nice cup of coffee/tea. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant, the atmosphere is hippy and artistic. They offer a variety of freshly squeezed juices, Moroccan tea and nice toasts (e.g. avocado toast). Highly recommended!

Travelling from Kings Cross and needed a great coffee before getting on the train. The flat white was lovely and creamy but the espresso shot was a little too subtle for my taste.

Popped in here for a soya latte. It was very delicious coffee accompanied with beautiful art on the wall. Recommend!

This is a small and friendly coffee shop just North of Kings Cross. My flat white was very nice quality and well made if a little bit hot. At £2.60 it was rather expensive and the cakes look nice but not made on the premises.

Popped in on a beautiful sunny London afternoon to get out of the heat. This small little cafe served me a decent flat white, offered comfy and quirky seating with a great selection of music playing. The free wifi was great and there were a few people making very good of that. The lone barista was friendly and they also had a good selection of teas, so I shall one back and try some of those. The food choice was basic but looked well put together and reasonably priced.

Simple and to the point, this establishment is intended for drinking coffee. Dont expect a hearty meal lest you leave bitterly disappointed. An assortment of simple pastries, plain criossants, simple rolls and a couple of cakes are modest temptations as accompianiament to your caffiene hit. Staffed by a lone ranger in a bustling metropolis, this unassuming find is a great way to escape the larger pandemic of modern tourism you may find overcrowding city centric venues. Its a shame the coffee is only so-so. The barista gave off the vibe of an introverted school girl with her nose burried in a Jane Austin classic. She wants, hopes you may raise the topic of fine english literature, but remains awkward and quiet otherwise. Worth a visit if you are in the area and after a quiet chat and some brown gold. Otherwise, you may find what you are after elsewhere.

A few minutes from the busy Kings Cross we found this neat, quiet and inviting little place with quirky interior, good chill music and nice coffee. Serves breakfast too. Would recommend.

It was a summer day, and due to an impending Tube strike, I had arrived at Kings Cross station hours ahead of my scheduled train. I was looking for a place to hang out, and to forget about the plasticised busyness and commercial chains of London life. After wandering for a little while, I came across Pattern Coffee, and it fitted the bill perfectly. The place was clearly popular and had decent Wifi -- I counted no fewer than five folk pecking away at their Mactops -- and pleasantly quirky; the seats ranged from wooden window benches to old cinema chairs, the sign for the toilet was upside down, and a collection of cassette tapes lurked in a high corner. The music was summery reggaefied, and the cappuccino looked beautiful. Prices were no higher than cafes outside London or train station food courts -- I had a cappuccino and two bottles of soft drink and was charged £6.80. And it's less than half a mile east from Kings Cross station.

This was a quaint and cozy coffee shop. The lattes were beautifully crafted and delicious! Not in a touristy area, it felt very authentic.

The Caledonian Road (and Kings Cross) are coming up in the world - certainly if judged by the number of coffee shops opening. This one is pleasant enough with the usual eclectic mix of furniture and seemingly falling apart decor. They serve the usual coffees although the portions are slightly on the small side. There are also breakfasts and various upmarket sandwiches available as well as arm chairs for resting. I could not find any newspapers apart from a local advertising freebie so there is nothing to keep you there apart from the refreshments. The sole barista was rather harassed at lunchtime leading to a delay in being able to pay. This cafe is a safe choice and interesting but nothing really remarkable about it.

Great little pup. I was there on an open mic night and it was a great night.

Planning a leaving drinks/ barbecue/ celebration – look no further. Fantastic venue all round, for dinner, drinks, or to organise a party. I had walked past on the opposite side of the canal many times and the Rotunda always looked inviting, I have been for dinner once, and subsequently have had a leaving (the UK) party with 60+ colleagues, friends and family. We had a large area on the waterside terrace facing the canal reserved for us. The setup was fantastic, signage directing from the street directly to our private area, pretty lights and decorations, ample room and plenty of seats, all with a great view of the canal, an inside room to leave belongings and much more. The food and drink was equally immaculate in setup, with wine & beer in ice buckets spread out around our area, cocktails part premade and finished on demand at an outdoor cocktail station by a very kind bartender who explained the variety of cocktails on offer. The barbecue was delicious and made during the party and brought out over an hour for self-service. There was a great variety of food including tasty veggie, vegan and fish and meat options, and plenty of it for all of the guests to enjoy. All the staff were accommodating, kind and professional, the main point of contact was extremely friendly and easy to deal with, and I am sure would have accommodated any request, although we hardly had to ask for a thing given the preparation and how well thought out the setup was from the Rotunda. Thank you very much to the Rotunda team, Flavia for help booking and planning, and all the team on the night for flawless execution, a great looking venue, delicious food and drink and a super relaxed, fun atmosphere and evening.
