We came here the day after one of our dear friends died and we always came here with here the staff where excellent helping through a very distressing period they gave us a private room and looked after us so week. Thank you

Our party of around 12 had Christmas lunch at Bangers and were treated well from the greeting at the door, until our departure. We were served by a few different people, though it was never a long wait for drinks, and all three courses were delivered promptly, and (mostly) at the same time. If only the quality of food had matched that of the service, this would be my new favourite haunt. Sadly the main course left me glad I’d filled up on bread with the starter, as there simply wasn’t enough, and I ended up leaving a fair portion of what was there as I don’t particularly enjoy eating slices of fat. That said the chocolate cake was nice and very rich.

Every year we come back here for our lunch. Being old retired city chaps this has always held fond memories. Sadly yesterday was a disaster. Strangely we had to pre order from a set menu when we booked a few weeks ago and the story begins. We all had smoked salmon which was fine. I ordered steak and chips. Well the steak was ok but very small. And I counted 7 chips in mine and my friends plate. A bit of scraggy green stuff No mustard offered no peas no tomato. It was a disgrace. Service was awful. I don’t think I counted one smile. I asked for more chips and said I don’t pay for them. My brother had turkey. Well it looked like it had been under the warm heater for ages. The dark meat was not edible and there was no stuffing. He complained and they returned with a better looking version. No apology. Oh and the restaurant was only one third full so I still don’t know why we had to pre order and how they could deliver such crappy food. The next course was cheese which had been in a fridge already prepared. Three types. And three biscuits. My brothers plate was ice cold straight from freezer. Totally unacceptable. He changed for Christmas pudding. There was no apologies or anything. WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN BANGERS AGAIN. Such a shame to see an old staple disappear like this.

A group of ex-colleagues enjoyed a Christmas lunch here which we have done for several years. Food was very good and staff very attentive and friendly.

We have been booking the back bar at Bangers Moorgate twice a year for the last four years for a corporate charity quiz night. We have always had a good relationship with the bar and have ensured over 80 people attend the functions on a Weds or Thursday night. The relationship was great, they supplied a venue (and one year donated to the prizes with a bottle of wine) and we brought them additional guaranteed generous customers for 4 hours at least. I enquired about a repeat booking (our 7th I believe) in November and mentioned our past bookings to be told they need £500 security deposit and a £2000 minimum spend contract. Although I think we will exceed the spend, I cannot guarantee this and therefore as this is a charity event, I can not sign such a contract as the charity would suffer. I explained this very clearly and have asked for a negotiated offering but have received an email to advise 'while I appreciate you are raising money for charity, we are still a business'. Extremely disappointing and very rude. I am saddened that we will not be able to hold our regular bi annual event at the venue.

Came in for a quick business lunch. The restaurant is below ground and cosy with many interconnecting rooms (though not an obvious choice for when it’s sunny outside). Have visited many times and food standard is variable - can be good but not always and today was pretty poor.

Visited with a group of eleven for an after work meal and was very pleased with the choice of venue, plenty of space to relax and unwind. The food on offer was to a good standard, I had smoked salmon, steak and treacle tart all were lush especially the beef which just melted in the mouth and needed no effort to cut, my criticism is that you produce this wonderful piece of meat and serve it with what appear to be frozen chips, correct me if I am wrong and if so I apologize, I imagined for the price you would be offering a hand cut triple fried chip, crunchy and fresh and in addition perhaps a small selection of veg for the table, food for thought perhaps? Other than that very satisfied after the visit , thank you.

I absolutely adore this place. Love the food & the staff are always pleasant. I have used Bangers for work lunches, group lunches & just having a quick general catch up with friends & am never disappointed. Love the decor & cosy atmosphere, which is why I prefer coming here. Great work Bangers👍🏽

A group of us went from work last night and 2 of us got food poisoning after having the pate starter and salmon main. Not what you want when your staying away home and have work the following day.

Friendly and welcoming staff in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Excellent service with well presented, tasty food.

This place gets busy, so if you plan to eat best to book. There is no seating around the bar, just standing space. If part of a small group it has some lovely little rooms that you can book at no extra cost for a meal. Went just before Christmas as part of a group of 6 in the Penguin room, a great way to get somewhere quiet to be able to talk. Service was good considering how busy the place was. Easy to book online and then we pre-ordered our food from their set Christmas menu, which was standard fare but fairly small portions.

Good phone signal, good food and atmosphere, service good and drinks fine. Nice place. Very comfortable.

Midway between Moorgate and Liverpool Street it is a good place to meet after work. Drinks are reasonably priced for London and there is a good range of bar snacks available which are nicely presented. Good beer and cider on draught.

Out with work colleagues, delicious burger, fries and fizzy wash down, lol. Best part was the wine recommendation. Portugal won the night.

This venue is part of the Davy's group so has their theme. Classic English menu and both of us has steak. Swift and pleasant service, reasonable price for the heart of the City. Reasonable wine list and drinks selection.

Staff very good, lovely air con restaurant. Food excellent. Great location very close to station. Great menu, something for everyone.

Entrance is hard to find but once downstairs, it’s quite a huge space. Service is quick and the staff are lovely. Fish and chips was gd and not a bad selection of wines!

We went here for a works meal and found it to be very disappointing. My colleague ordered fish cakes as a main course and what appeared were 3 small fish cakes which were not particularly hot. When she told the waiter, he took them back to the kitchen and re-fried them. I ordered the prawn and crab linguine which for £15.95 I would expect to have more than 5 prawns but that is exactly what I got and I couldn't even taste the crab. The feedback from my other colleagues was also not great, one who had the steak for over £20 said she had had a better steak in the local pub where they have paid £8. I will definitely not be returning..

My wife and I were in London on business for one night and we were staying at the near by Travelogde.

Been here a few times and love the variety of rooms available. Particularly like the penguin room when with a group of 10 or so. Friendly staff, good range of beers and great sharing platters.

We were looking for somewhere in the area which did good pub lunches. Our guests chose Bangers bar and grill which proved to be an excellent choice.The dining area was extremely comfortable with excellent ambience.Menu very good with good variety to suit all tastes. Service very good ( our waitress Charlotte) as to was the quality and presentation of the food.Hope experience it again one day.

Friendly service who fitted us in even though we had not booked (they were very busy!).Whitstable pale Ale was well kept and delicious.The Smoked Chicken Caesar salad was correct with anchovies, tasty and nicely filling.A good place to call in for a pint of fill up on pub food.

They try quite hard here and it was the run up to Christmas. We had smoked salmon (bit on the small side) and sirloins after. Plenty of beer , wine and port afterwards.One of the few old style City drinking and dining haunts left.

I've visited Bangers on many occasions over the past 15 years and the service has remained excellent throughout. Quieter than the busy wine bars in the area . Worth a visit.

You come in off the street and downstairs into a basement bar area. Cosy, welcoming and good service. I went with a bunch from work and so we had a semi private area for 8 with an eclectic mix of furniture around us that added to the experience. Service was great especially as the group were from mixed backgrounds with some strange requests. Most of us ordered from the fixed menu which is not on the website with a selection of different sausages, mash and gravy. The sausages were excellent and the garlic herb mash was amazing. I stuck with the theme and had an IPA which was great and served in a pewter tankard. Desserts are great (go with the trio to give you the most choice). My colleague had the cheese which was also excellent (try the stinking bishop). Note there is a full menu with many other options if sausage is not your thing

The description of my seafood tagliatelle sounded lovely but when it arrived it was a disappointment. Served on a cold plate and the (thin) tagliatelle was barely luke warm. There were some tasteless granular bits which might have been the promised crab plus five prawns. However there were large pieces of chopped chili...some as much as nearly a cm long . My colleagues were not thrilled with their very ordinary fish and chips and rather nasty sausages with gelatinous gravy

I was invited to lunch here and was very impressed by the warm greeting I received from each and every member of staff. The service was great and the food arrived without delay. I had the crab cakes to start which were tasty but my fellow diners smoked salmon looked a better choice. I had the fish & chips for main course which I thoroughly enjoyed. The fish was very large and the batter was crispy. Inside the fish was wonderfully flaky. I really enjoyed the pea too. The steak was also declared very good. We had a lovely bottle of claret with our lunch ( yes I know it should be white wine with fish). Prices were reasonable considering the location ( close to Liverpool St Station) and the quality of the food. Definitely must go back again.

Lovely venue. Great location. Love the surroundings and decor. Staff lovely and helpful. All really good. Make a great place for business lunch and would visit socially as well. Food good and wine lush.

We ate here at recommendation of a waiter at another restaurant. It was busy with Holiday revelers and large groups. Our group of five did well, with making earlier reservations. We were seated immediately and waited on by excellent staff quickly. We had appetizer and drinks with some fresh cheddar, Brie,and Stilton cheeses with chutney, crackers, and grapes. This was excellent. Our table had several dishes with bangers and mash, ribeye and rump steak. We followed with desserts of sticky toffee, flourless chocolate cake, and a blackberry apple crumb casserole. It was a fun meal, freshly prepared to order, and served well. The atmosphere was loud, fun and festive. It would be fun to return.

We regularly use this Wine Bar for our meetings, the Staff are all very helpful and accommodating to the point of putting on a special starter for us, we will visit again in the spring.

Great venue and location. Ambience was very good and service from staff was brilliant. Nothing to fault. Food was very good and we were a party of 72 for a corporate Christmas party.

Went here with works colleagues for a team members birthday. Good location. Service was fine and the quality was good.

I booked a large table and we dined in a 'semi-private' room. No need to pre-book. We paid for drinks separately which worked well and was not complicated! The food was very tasty - everyone enjoyed their meals and the staff were very attentive. The only problem was the coffees took a fair while to arrive and one hot drink was cold but this was quickly replaced and we were not charged. Excellent manager who answers the phone, replies to an email and was there on the night.

One of the things I love about London and a lot of old world cities are the little treasures one can find in alleyways, hidden passages and basements. Bangers is certainly one worth finding. From a fairly low key entrance one descends down the stairs into what feels like a genuine piece of old London. Genuine or not, it has a lovely olde worlde charm with subtle lighting, private rooms giving a throwback, nostalgic nod to bygone times. Ideal for groups, parties and couples alike. My linguine was lovely with lots of king prawns, tons of flavour and some fresh chilli heat. The sausages with the sausages and mash were a little too herby for my partner but we really enjoyed our visit. I can also personally recommend the burgers. Lovely atmosphere, great service and good food before our Jack the Ripper Tour. We'll be back!

Came here with 2 colleagues, we enjoyed the atmosphere, dark and candle lit surroundings. The food was tasty, i had fish and chips. Nice big portions. Service was good. Would recommend it.

Rude staff closed early ! Turned up Wednesday night at 10pm and were told they were closed we pointed out that sign on the door said 11 as did there web site ... A wasted journey thanks Bangers

A few of us met in a private room for which they do not charge. Staff very friendly and food that we had (selection of light bites) was delicious and was served quickly. There are various size rooms and the bar has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Great place to meet up for a chat or work especially if you want a private booth/room. The food is good and very dependable and the staff are courteous. So this a regular haunt if meeting up in London.

Overall, a good experience. It was sometimes difficult to attract the staff's attention - I had to go over to ask them for a dessert and for the bill - but all was otherwise well.

A group of friends and i tried out Bangers for 'Burgers & Beer' and we had a great night. The staff were super friendly, made us feel very welcome and suggested different ales and beers including their own house beer which was very nice. The burgers were fresh, thick with a good amount of salad and tasty garnish and served with nicely textured french fries. Great place for an informal evening with friends, and has an old english pub feel for sure.

I wasn't expecting a huge amount from the entrance and anticipated quick reheated food. I was wrong.Once you descend in to the main bar and restaurant the place is far bigger than expected, the bar service was quick and friendly and when we sat to eat we were given time without being ignored or rushed and had sufficient privacy for a business conversation despite it being busy and London space being at a premium.The food was fresh, promptly served and tasty.Will visit again

We had a great meal for 10. Everyone enjoyed their well cooked and nicely presented food. The menu had a good selection that suited everyone.The staff were very helpful and accommodating as half the party were delayed in traffic.. Our waitress was very knowledgable with the wine list.

A place with character. Signs and ornaments. Candles. Friendly staff greet you and are around whenever you need somebody. Big main rooms plus private side rooms and nooky corners. Good choice of food. I enjoyed the smoked salmon, duck and potatoes with green vegetables, cheese and biscuits, chocolates. Vegetables and fruit or fruit garnish with food.Reasonably near Moorgate station and easy to find.Down a flight of stairs to the basement so not ideal for people who must be near a window. Spacious if you like that, cosy if you prefer that.Good for large groups, or foreigners who want a bit of old England. Old framed prints on walls and a side room with wallpaper showing book titles.

You know when you want to go somewhere nice, that is not too posh but it's pleasant and vibrant? Well BANGers! Food (british, excellent sausage and mash) and service (polite, not pretentious) are very good and aligned with the atmosphere. Definitely a must go if you're in the City area, for lunch, drinks or dinner.

Largely unchanged from the 90's. Ok, the sawdust and wooden floor have disappeared but they still serve Old Wallop in a pewter tankard. Being a Davy's there is a good selection of wines. If you are looking for a bar in the city and not full of generation Z, then try this place.

Much to my surprise this is not as well known as I suspected. A cellar bar with good beer and wine is its staple but there is also a restaurant with good food and a number of private 'cubicles' for those that need a little more discretion when talking business (or other) over lunch or early evening dinner.

Visited in a group of 4 for some post-work drinks one Friday evening. Table was reserved easily. We were readily welcomed in. The service was excellent, the wine was reasonably priced and very good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food (apart from the sausages which looked completely raw) was lovely. Despite being the last people there at 10.30 pm, we didn't feel any sense of being pushed out of the door so they could clean up. Quite the opposite. Will definitely be visiting again.

I liked the attention to detail - the prints on the walls, for instance - but our group had a bad experience with one of the managers (I didn't witness it, to be fair, but heard about it afterwards). Apparently the organisers of our group won't be going back there.The chips were good.

Went for a business lunch - I don't know if she was new but pretty slow. We ordered 4 salads - and they were delicious. My colleague had the bloody mary salad, which he said was amazing. Two other's had the house special salad and I had to make up my own order because I'm vegan. The food was good but I'm not sure it was worth the wait. The venue is cool however - would like to go back when I'm allowed to drink!

This is still a real Davys, with no stupid insensitive modernisation. Excellent wines, great food and efficient, friendly staff. A great place for a quick bottle of wine and a sandwich - and also a really good restaurant if one has the time.

I came here for a business lunch and was left impressed by the location, service and extent of the food menu.The food was incredibly well presented and prompt, despite it being very busy.I found that the service was very attentive and friendly and will certainly return when I am in the area again.

My wife and I visited. Bangers whilst in London for the weekend, we booked at very short notice and arrived at around 8pm on Friday night. The restaurant was busy enough to have a really friendly atmosphere but there was a few empty tables as the straight from work crowds were beginning to leave.As I've read elsewhere the menu is meat biased, burgers and steaks aplenty but our meals were simple and well presented.By the time we'd finished there was hardly anybody left in the restaurant which seemed odd at about 9:30pm.

Found this pub on the internet, whilst enjoying a few nights in London and looking for somewhere to eat close to our hotel, The South Place, which was just over the road. You access the pub down a flight of stairs and it is warm and welcoming with a rustic charm.The restaurant itself was fairly quiet but we had a lovely meal, the food was excellent, good value and the staff polite and friendly.

A group of 10 "old boy's" meet for lunch 2/3 times a year. This is a great location. We have a small annex to ourselves, staff are friendly and attentive. Food is very good. I had prawn cotail (2 types of prawns!) followed by fish and chips, fresh fish great chips.We will certainly repeat the booking.

I went for dinner here with a friend because he has been here before otherwise would never have seen this place! It's hidden away downstairs & towards the back of the bar but once there it's beautifully decorated and does wonderful food! Definitely worth finding!

My boyfriend and I chose Bangers for a meal out a few days before Christmas, but we were disappointed by the food and service provided.We had booked well in advance and had requested the Christmas menu - we later tried to call to check this would be ok, but could never get through to anyone so emailed instead. We got no response.On arrival we were seated in a tiny room by ourselves with one round table big enough for 8 people, at the very back of the restaurant but right next to a very loud party with music pumping. We asked to be moved, and we were put more in the main part of the restaurant but still in a room just by ourselves again, which seemed strange for a meal for two. After asking again asking about the Christmas menu we were told they had run out of turkey! I had a chicken and chorizo dish from the main menu, which was tasty, and my boyfriend had steak from the Christmas menu, which he enjoyed. We also had a nice white wine - there is a good wine list. For dessert, there was also no crumble left so I had sticky toffee pudding; however, it was dry and stone cold (and served with nearly cold custard) so I didn't eat it. Service was relatively slow, although I felt sorry for the waitress as the issues weren't her fault.When we complained, we were told some of the problems were caused by a big group of city workers who had come for lunch and not left all day. It seems that they were spending enough money that the restaurant didn't mind other people's service suffering! A member of staff also said that's the reason they had no turkey left and people usually pre-order the Christmas menu - yet we had done this and tried multiple times to contact them. They took the pudding off our bill at our request, but it did little to improve what was a disappointing evening all round.

Didn't even realise there was a restaurant downstairs. It was fairly quiet (mid week) and the service was very prompt. The menu is undeniably aimed at carnivores so not sure if the vegetarian options would stand up to scrutiny but that wasn't an issue with us. I had the lamb and my friend had a steak. They were both done just as we'd asked. There's an excellent wine list and of course Davy's beer should you wish. Even though we pigged out and had cheese and port afterwards it was still very reasonably priced and I would heartily recommend. It's not a gastronomic experience but excellent, tasty robust meals done with quite a bit of finesse.

This was the second time as a party we have lunched at Bangers excellent food and service at a reasonable price. Special thanks to Sarah provided superb service.

Eight of us met for our annual Christmas lunch at this new . for us, venue, in their private Penguin Room. The food was fine with polite service from young waitresses and good wine. Beer a bit expensive at £4.50 per pint, but possibly typical for London

I recently held a fundraiser here and I have to say from start to finish the staff were excellent. Special thanks goes out to manager Katherine who made sure all of our needs were met. They even offered a bottle of wine as a price. I would definitely go here again whether it was to have a drink or to host an event. Keep up the good work.

I had 45 minutes to spare and stopped in for a sandwich. Service was slow (by American standards) but the menu selection include a nice variety. I enjoyed a sandwich and sides all of which were quite nice. I was find of the ambiance ... Old English ... I found it relaxing after a very active morning.

The wine bar section was packed but the dining area was quiet with a good ambiance. The service was good as was the food. I had the fish & chips and my wife had the seafood linguine. We both would have had fish and chips, but the fish had to be in batter. The seafood linguine had more than a hint of chilli, which suited my wife, but may not suit everybody. Overall we enjoyed the experience and would eat here again.

I booked a table here using an online booking service at about 3 pm for 7.30 that evening, and I must admit to being a bit apprehensive seeing that there were plenty of tables still available for that same day. Any anxiety slipped away immediately upon arrival and we had a very enjoyable family meal. Welcomed warmly, we were shown to our table in the dining area at the rear of the bar. The place is part of Davy's, located in The City between Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. It was busy with post-work chums sharing a beer, well several beers probably. It was boisterous but not overly so.We had bangers and mash, and a couple of burgers. The verdict on the bangers was good, and my burger was cooked as I was asked, not as the chef wanted to serve it. Dessert for me was a delicious sticky toffee pudding with a delightful custard, and others chose Brownie - excellent. The service was superb, just enough to keep things moving and didn't get in our way. We had a good natter amongst ourselves, enjoyed a great meal, and it was good value especially for where you are, in the City. Just over £70 for three drinks, three mains and three desserts, and a couple of coffees.Yes, I'd eat here again.

Part of the Davy's Wine Bar chain, Bangers is situated just 5 minutes from either Moorgate or Liverpool Street Stations. It's an underground bar/restaurant and has two dining rooms and a host of nooks and crannies with a well appointed, polished wood/oak panelled walls decor. Of course, there's an excellent wine list and the food is fine with a daily special. Above all, it's a cosy, inviting environment. My sole criticism is that it's overpriced. My friend and I had the special which was a pork terrine starter with a pulled chicken/ham hock pie with broccoli and then we shared a cheeseboard comprised of three cheeses. We shared a bottle of the house white (very acceptable) and had a glass of house red (also good) with the cheese. This came to £93 (excluding our tip, of course). If you think that's perfectly reasonable then you'll love this place.

Recently had a lunch gathering with several ex-marine colleagues @ Bangers which is about a 5 minute walk from either Liverpool or Moorgate stations. As always a good time was had by all, great menu reasonably priced and being part of Davies an excellent wine list, we actually drank the house red/white which were both good.If you are 6 or above I would recommend you book the "butchers shop" which is an almost private alcove, there are several other venues offering privacy dependant on your numbers, having said that dining in the main area is also very good.Enjoy !

I almost missed the place as from the street all you see is a door next to a pub so I though this was also the same pub. It is not. \downstairs there's another pub: BangersI had the fish and chips and I'm sorry to say that it was all bland. Chips had not seen a single grain of salt before they arrived to the table (it's always better to salt as soon as you take them off the fyinh pan). The fish had no flavour whatsoever Again no salt on the fish or the batter. Mushy peas were fine.On the good side the pannacotta was very very good.

After many months of business travel I came back to London and to my favourite Moorgate pub to discover lots of changes there. Not only the place looks much brighter after the refurbishment, also the new menu offers plenty of mouth watering dishes. My ale was a little bit overpriced - as always, but served with a smile in a pewter tankard - as always :-)Bangers under new management does feel different though. I am sorry to say that I was truly missing its former manager's Julian hospitality.I was hoping to have a chat with a new man in charge, but the girl at the bar informed me that he was busy. Later, I discovered that new manager was drinking with some customers at the bar table. This sort of mixing with clientele is probably ok and fun for many, but it definitely didnt work neither for me, nor my colleague who had a pint with me on that night.Sorry Davys, but this is something I could expect from countryside pub landlord, not well established London city bar manager.I left with mixed feelings.

Visited for a lunch with a colleague, it's a quiet oasis from the nearby Broadgate/Moorgate hustle and bustle.Along with plenty of wine options, draft ales and lagers can be purchased in a 4 pint milk maids jug which was novel and added an element of fun to the experience.Service was polite and prompt, we both opted for a burger, mine was the ruben which had pastrami and sauerkraut. The burger was a little over done and could have done with a little more sauce for my taste. My colleague had the chicken Caesar burger which went down well.Overall a reasonable lunch, would go back and perhaps try something different from the menu next time.

A few of us popped in here for a business lunch one Friday. It is located in a basement close to the corner of South Place and Wilson St, just to the left of the Red Lion. We hadn't booked and decided to sit in the bar area. We ordered some drinks and sandwiches from the bar and then sat down with our drinks. It wasn't a busy day (I've seen it much more packed an unable to get a seat in the evening) and we could talk reasonably openly. Our sandwiches arrived reasonably quickly and we were offered a selection of sauces. Everything was very good. We were asked if we wanted another round of drinks, but as we were on a time limit we declined and settled the bill.

Really impressed with my lunch here. The place is cavernous and goes for the old time look with lots of candlelit corners and conspiratorial nooks. Food wise - meat plays heavily on the menu and as the name suggests sausages, steaks and burgers are the staple although the menu is vast and really caters for all palates. I started with crab on toast which was as good as I've ever had in a Scottish seafood bar and then went onto the "Davy Steak Burger" which was juicy, perfectly cooked and didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and I can't say too much about the prices, because I wasn't paying. Looked to be what you'd expect in the City though.

Earlier this month I've attended a special event organised by a friend of mine. There were around 60 of us for dinner in the lower restaurant. Everything from food to service was excellent. Staff was friendly and helped everyone get to their assigned tables in no time! Our 3 course dinner was served promptly and the food was delicious. Very enjoyable evening. Will definitely be back!

Me and a group of friends visited Bangers restaurant last Wednesday for a dinner. I am from abroad and this was my second visit to United Kingdom. I have to say I recommend this restaurant 100 %. I visited few restaurants in London, but this one would probably be one of my favourites. Food was lovely and well presented, bangers and mash rocks! I think all of us enjoyed the meal as much as myself. Service was also very nice. Very attentive and polite waitress tried her best to make us feel welcomed and happy. The bar servant was very friendly too, as we had some drinks before and after the dinner. Prices for both food and drinks are reasonable - cheaper than other restaurants we visited. I really like the real English style interior of the place.Will definitely come back when next time in England.

I had a meal here with a friend on a Wednesday lunchtime and it was just what we were looking for. The place was packed but they found us a lovely table in the downstairs restaurant. The food was delicious and good value (we had Bangers and Mash and a superfood salad, very healthy!), and the drinks list had a wide range of soft options as well as some lovely local beers and of course a comprehensive selection of wines. Will definitely return.

I was in town for five days for business. On the final work day, a group of us went to Bangers for dinner. We ordered a plate of five cheeses and I loved each of the selections provided. The starter was followed by a good-sized portion of bangers and mash (sp?). I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It turned out to be the best meal, as well as the least expensive, that I had while in London. Only one negative for me: I ordered a double Scotch and the pour was somewhat stingy; not even a half-finger of alcohol in the glass. The server was pleasant, but apologetic, and the second glass arrived with a more reasonable pour.

The title says it all really. Whilst eating here recently we saw two mice scurrying across the restaurant. The staff were already aware of the issue and felt there wasn't much more they could do. I won't return to this place.

Visited in a party of 17 so perhaps not a true reflection of the service and food that you'd receive if you were visiting in a smaller group. Meals had to be pre ordered so starters served almost as soon as we sat down. Tasty but very small portions. The mains were also small and disappointing in my opinion. Dry meat that felt like it had been plated hours earlier, barely warm and few vegetables to accompany. Service friendly but not overly attentive.Not worth the money. Not likely to return.
