My first time here and I love it. The atmosphere is warm, lovely and modern. The service friendly and welcoming and the my Sunday roast was both generous and delicious. Sticky Toffee Pudding is to die for, definitely worth the calories. I will be back!

Came here this evening with a party of 6. The gentleman greeting us on arrival was very good and sorted out an error in my booking to get us seated tonight instead of next week. Once seated it was apparent that there was only one gentleman serving all of the tables. I have to point out that it wasn’t that busy. However his manner in general wasn’t good enough. Just passing out plates and cutlery as if we were in a school canteen instead of placing them on the table as would be expected. Asking for dirty plates to be passed to him to save him walking around the table to collect them. My elderly mother asked for a shandy. He said no. They don’t have that. We suggested he bring a bottle of beer and a bottle of lemonade together with a separate glass. Hey, we made a shandy!! Everything seemed like a big ask for him. No redeeming qualities at all. In short he spoilt the experience.

Well what can I say about Rock & Rose. An excellent find. The parking is potentially a problem. I went today, a Sunday, so I used the road to the left of the restaurant. The parking is permit holders only Mon-Sat. Back the restaurant itself. Very attractive from outside, with tables under cover, if you can brave the elements! Inside is incredibly quirky. Lots of interesting things to see and find. The menu isn't too overwhelming, but plenty of yummy choices to be had. Good portion sizes and similar to home cooking. We only had mains and mostly chose from the Sunday roast selection. All very tasty and very filling. All the staff we encountered were extremely pleasant. I can't speak highly enough of Rock & Rose and thoroughly recommend you visit asap. I've also included the Christmas Menu for anyone who is interested. Rock & Rose, thank you for the fantastic food and for being wonderful hosts. We hope to see you again soon!

We love going to the Rock and Rose in Richmond and are regulars there when we are in town! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the decor cool, quirky but trendily bohemian. But the best part of it is the cocktail bar! Adam is a maestro and his cocktails are delicious and beautiful, a harmonious marriage of science and art. The best cocktails I have ever had anywhere in the world and one of the few places on earth to make a proper cosmopolitan. I would highly recommend popping in for a few cocktails (impossible to have only 1) and then perhaps stay for a bite. 🍸🇬🇧💕

Updated review. We have been going to Rock & Rose for over 10 years now & I would like to say it’s just as good as it was then but really it’s got even better. The cocktails made by the fantastic bar team are the best, so creative & with a style that you have never seen before. Adam is always on hand to make you a bespoke cocktail that rocks. The menu has a great choice & the food is delicious. Review from 10 years ago: Every time we go to Rock & Rose it's always busy. You can sit at the bar have 1 of the amazing cocktails they make while you wait for your table. Staff are always friendly & chatty, the decor is out of this world & we absolutely love it. The menu offers a good selection & the food is excellent. You have to give it go & you will want to go back.

This place is a true gem and with the best cocktails in London! The food, staff, decor and ambiance are fabulous and good value too.

Sadly very poor. The service was shockingly slow, our server had little to no idea what he was doing and it was clear to the other staff there was an issue but nothing really done to help. We were pushed to preorder ahead yet it took nearly an hour to receive our starters and in a 2 hour sitting we were only gestured to order drinks once on arrival. When we politely mentioned to the front of house man of the slow service and overall poor experience he used the excuse that it was really busy and was passive aggressive without apology. There were three empty tables around us for the entirety of our meal (as photo attached). Many reviews seem to complain about the same lack of service, the front of house laughable lack of any customer service. Again, If you’ve taken the booking you should be able to capably serve. After further complications with the bill missing a significant deposit payment and trying to remove service charge the front of house was found out front on the phone unwilling to help (if busy I can’t understand why this would be done). Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Dont enjoy being constantly watched and hovered over whilst dining. It felt like we were being rushed and we spent a lot!! This restaurant has changed and not for the better

So disappointing. It’s changed since our last visit a year ago. If you’ve taken the booking you should be able to serve us. He then provided us with a free bottle of wine but did not once apologise and then charged us for this ‘complimentary’ wine on the bill. To make it worse we had also payed a £90 deposit and this was not reflected on the bill until we mentioned it. Unfortunately we will not be returning. Really quite shocking.

It very aesthetically pleasing decor. Food was ok, not great, not awful. Restaurant was less than half full and we were rushed off our table as apparently it had a booking - no one was waiting to be seated and like I said the restaurant was less than half full. It was a weird experience. Service really let it down. We won't be returning

We had an amazing experience at Rock and Rose in Richmond! We were lucky enough to be served by Daisy, who made the evening truly exceptional. She was incredibly personable and engaging, with a fantastic knowledge of the menu that really enhanced our dining experience. Her recommendations were spot on, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. The food was absolutely delicious. We especially loved the tomato and mozzarella arancini balls, the French onion soup, and the lamb three ways — each dish was perfectly executed and full of flavor. Overall, it was a memorable night thanks to the delicious food and the outstanding service from Daisy. We can’t recommend Rock and Rose enough and will definitely be returning!

This is one of my favourite restaurants to go to before attending a match at Twickenham . Food and service are always superb. Location and decor are perfect. Our next booking is already in the diary.

Odio dejar malas críticas pero en esta ocasión lo haré. Empecemos con lo positivo del personal es amable el vino era bueno. ¡Pero! Vinimos aquí para un asado dominical y para ser honesto fue impactante. ¡Las patatas asadas no estaban crujientes y estaban cocinadas en un aceite horrible y la carne era asquerosa! Pedí Lamb que claramente era carne barata envasada al vacío, no lo habría reconocido como cordero por el sabor. Mi amigo tenía carne de res sobre cocinado y también insípido. Si hubiera sido un coche muy barato probablemente no lo mencionaría. Pero están cobrando más de £ 24 por un plato, así que espero buena carne. La verdura estaba bien cocinada, pero en general no es bueno en absoluto. No volvería a comer allí. Y si usted está buscando un asado de domingo son pubs en Richmond que sirven asados mucho mejores por menos

We came to Rock and Rose Richmond on a whim and this restaurant do not disappoint. We had a brilliant experience. The cocktails are to die for. The mixologists know what they are doing. We'd recommend the spicy and smokey margarita. We shared the Asian duck tacos as a starter which was a delight. I had the seabass with the Asian greens. It was crispy and cooked to perfection. My partner had the pork and he thought it was a stunning dish, in presentation and taste. We also were very greedy and had the dessert platter, which we would recommend if you're very hungry! However, the staff are the real stars here. Alex, our waiter, was polite and friendly and made sure we were well looked after. Our host was Benjamin who was very kind, friendly and was happy to advise and chast. Honestly, the staff really made our day! We can't wait to come back! Thank you Alex and Benjamin!

Went here on Sunday 03/11/2024..for my eldest son’s birthday..it couldn’t have been worse..the rude man(front of house was so awful..we had been sat down for not even 5 minutes & he came over & said “can you please hurry up & order as I’ve a table of 15 coming in soon”!!! 5 minutes later a group of 4 sat next to us & he completely left them alone !? The table of 15 never showed.. The FOOD!! So we ordered the roast beef x4 it was absolutely disgusting..2 slices of very thin fatty beef..the roast potatoes were so hard & stone cold..(reheated I’d say.) the veg was cold & very hard..really cold nasty meal.. Would NOT recommend eating here.. Very PRETENTIOUS & stuck up place..the front of house man..should be spoken to or sacked the way he treated us.. I wouldn’t waste your money here..horrible atmosphere & like I said awful food/service & so very PRETENTIOUS.. I rate this place zero out of 10..!!!

When turned up manager cane to table to say if he could get us served quickly as had a big party coming in I think we were not his type of customer. As no big party came in and then another group came sat beside us and was not asked same thing. Pretentious? Also food was low quality mediocre. We had what started off as a good experience - the service was quick, friendly and attentive, and the cocktails and food were good. We particularly enjoyed the Asian Platter. But after that it just sort of changed without any real reason - it was hard to get our waiters attention and then we felt incredibly rushed out of the door. The bill came without prompt and well before we’d finished our bottle of wine. We had planned to maybe have another cocktail (we weren’t holding tables up by any stretch). It was strange and sort of ruined the experience, especially since we were there for a birthday dinner. A shame as it started so well!

I had most delicious seafood and desert in this place.

Celebrated with team mates as a group of 12 for my birthday. We had a wonderful evening, great food and drinks, very attentive and professional service, we booked the private dining area and it worked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed themselves, Daisy was our main server and she was brilliant!! Thank you!

Last night, my partner and I went to Rock and Rose restaurant.(Richmond) The gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and polite. We started with a Merlot, which was absolutely superb. For the starter, we had the Asian platter, which was incredibly tasty. For the main course, we had the Chicken Milanese and a House Salad. For dessert, we had the chocolate fondant. All the dishes were full of flavour. The gentleman in a suit, whom I believe was the restaurant manager, was very kind and engaging, and he came over for a chat with us. The lady who served us was also very polite. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning.

Went for a catch up with a friend, the food was very good, I did find the waiter overly attentive, almost felt a bit rushed but it wasn't a great problem because we didn't want a late night. So I would recommend a visit.

The place is beautiful, and the food was good but the service is poor, the waiter from Serbia was grumpy and making faces while taking the orders and when we were paying the bill. However Benjamin was friendly and professional.

There is seating in the front and main part of the restaurant. We were welcomed by duty manager. Great food and service. The lady that served us, was very attentive and personable. 2 hours seating only, but as we had a later booking we were lucky to have been able to stay to near closing.

Benjamin was a superb host as were his colleagues. The food was exceptional! Can not recommend enough. Music was also perfect as was the atmosphere. Thank you

Excellent family meal before a wedding

We had an amazing time at Rock and Rose Richmond! We came for a work event, big group of over 20 people, preordered! The staff were amazing, especially Ben, and they catered to our every need even though we were late and a bit hectic! We will be back. Great food and cocktails :)

We chose this place on recommendation for a friend's birthday. We had heard that the cocktails were particularly good. The only thing that made our evening unpleasant from the moment we entered was the waiter who served us. On several occasions he displayed behaviour that was not in keeping with the quality of the place with his rude attitude and harsh style. His communication with customers was rude and unfriendly. He constantly gave us harsh warnings and finally he did not apologise when he stepped on my foot while clearing the table, he warned me to fix your foot so that I could clear the table. This person should definitely not work in the service industry, even though we liked the food and drinks of the place, I would never think of going back because of this attitude and I would not recommend it. Because while the evening should have been a good memory, it left us nervous and unhappy. As long as this person works there, I am sure you will lose a lot of customers.

If you come to Richmond and you don't go to the Rock and Rose... then, in my opinion, you've missed out. Dinner was excellent, no faults.

Booked for a birthday meal on a Sunday afternoon. The reason I choose this restaurant was because a couple or years ago we had a wonderful meal there on a Sunday afternoon and thought we must return. The service is excellent and I could not fault a thing, the decor and atmosphere is lovely and the drinks are rather nice as well. That brings me to the food. Starters were good but the Sunday roast was let done by the meat. I had the lamb mainly because last time it was carved from the bone and very tender and tasty however this time is was boned and rolled sliced lamb, not very tasty and a bit of a let down. One of us had the beef which I was told was very tough and chewy. We also had the seabass which was very dry both on the outside as well as the fish meat. We requested more sauce just to give it some moisture. We did not want to complain as we could not see much being done except maybe offer us another dish which we really did not want or wait for it. So sorry Rock & Rose but I feel your standards on the food front has let you down. Shame as everything else was great.

My friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Rock and Rose last night, and it was an experience that exceeded our expectations. The cocktails were truly extraordinary, both in flavor and presentation. Adam, the talented mixologist, crafted some of the most remarkable drinks we've ever had, and his friendly demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable. We opted to sample several of the starters, and each one was a delight. The chili squid, in particular, was a standout. The only downside? I wish I could dine here every day! Thank you, Rock and Rose, for another unforgettable evening. You never disappoint!

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch here recently. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I chose the tofu curry and chocolate cake from their vegan menu and they were delicious. As was the Golden Peacock cocktail I treated myself to as well! The decor and atmosphere were great. I'd recommend and I'm sure I'll be back.

We had a family reunion so were a large party and the staff accommodated us in our own part of the restaurant which was perfect. Our waiter was brilliant (I think his name was Alex) he had a print out of all our pre ordered food and all courses were served quickly and efficiently. Sadly 2 of our group couldn't stay and they took the main courses off with no charge. Food was delicious, so all in all a great afternoon.

I went tonight for a drink with my girlfriend, amazing as usual. Had a couple of Negronis made by Becky (spot on, she’s really an amazing bartender) and my girlfriend had a whiskey sour (again, kudos to Becky). Our night went absolutely great, except for the fact that there was a table of 4 people (2 women and 2 men - one incredibly rude) that have been complaining throughout all evening about everything in a really loud way. They have been abusive towards all the members of the staff and when they left they verbally attacked one member, clearly only to cause problem, in front of us and some other customers on the terrace. Some people should avoid to go out if they have a miserable life themselves.

We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary. I was on crutches and as soon as we arrived we had fantastic service. We were given our choice of table where I would be comfortable and they arranged that I could put my foot up when it became uncomfortable. When they found out it was our anniversary we were given a complimentary drink of our choice. The food was outstanding and our waitress was perfect as was the manager and the other members of staff who spoke to us. We will definitely visit again. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

Had some great food from the starter menu as nibbles - the tuna tartar was a highlight. Adam behind the bar was great and served some ice cold beers as well as great whisky cocktails. A great date spot

Booked this restaurant for a late Saturday lunch, having never been before but obviously reading previous varied reviews. On entering we received a very friendly warm welcome from the manager and our waiter. We were told we could choose to sit anywhere and we chose the conservatory at the back. OMG…the decor everywhere is absolutely beautiful including the furniture, tables, chairs and lights. Our cocktails, wine and starters and mains were sensational but to die for was the best sharing dessert platter.OMG… Our experience could not have been any better and we will most definitely return, I found a really unique gem of a restaurant. My husband and I did not want to leave. Thanks for such a wonderful afternoon of gorgeous cocktails and food. You said to us on leaving, maybe see you again next week, maybe not but definitely in the coming months…

All good but not amazing. Will recommend but for me little bit weak menu. Food has been very good and will recommend for daily meal not for date's. Starter taste and looks was much better than main course, but taste is good

Hospitality at its best. A warm welcome, friendly and courteous, and very importantly, excellent food ( possibly the best sea bass I have ever enjoyed). Very relaxing atmosphere, no being rushed to finish our meal, almost like being in a sun drenched Mediterranean restaurant. Definitely want to go back if we can fit it in on our trip down from Scotland.

I had the most amazing experience at Rock and Rose in Richmond. The food was great - my friend and I ordered the crispy tempura shrimp, the chicken milanese, the lamb leg steak and sticky toffee pudding for dessert - can't fault anything, tasted amazing! The drinks were delicious too, the bartenders put on a whole show for us and it added to the experience. The staff were all so lovely and hospitable, I loved the decor and ambience inside and it was super packed which goes to show how popular it is. Thank you so much for having us, this place is a hidden gem for sure! Can't wait to return ✨️

Great Asian European fusion food.

Had a lovely evening with friends. Short walk from the Richmond Railway station. Has outside seating as well. Food was fresh and tasted very good with good presentation. Cocktails and wine were good as well as the desserts. Would have liked to see a gluten free dessert but at least there was a vegan one. Host was very warm and welcoming and graciously let us stay a little past the 2 hour mark after our server made it a point to remind us…our server seemed to be a little less than polite at times even though we were very polite and friendly with him. Overall good experience and service from the other staff was very good. Will be back.

Some food was better than others eg my Thai r red curry was rlly nice but the Massaman was quite plain. Service was friendly but sometimes a bit slow. Did feel welcome though. Atmosphere was very nice with lovely decoration and the restaurant getting fairly busy on a Tuesday night.

A lovely restaurant with great food.. We dined with friends, the portions were huge which makes a change nowadays!! Slightly let down by the service.. we were asked 3 times whether we wanted to order our food when we’d already placed the order!! But when we actually wanted a server to order more drinks, it was difficult to get their attention as they weren’t very attentive… I’d visit again because the food was delicious.

really delightful chicken milanese which came in a huge portion, would 100% recommend this meal and would definitely return to order it again. chips were great along with the cocktails. only downside with our experience here was that one of my friends ordered the cottage pie which was apparently not very nice at all and came in a small portion. regardless, fast service, nice atmosphere and very accommodating staff. would recommend!

The food was average, I had the beef massaman curry which didn’t have a lot of flavour. My starter was the prawn tempura, which again were quite average. The cocktails were good and presented well.

I booked a table that was intended to be a very special occasion and the experience was one of disappointment. The restaurant failed to accept responsibility for a failed booking and pushed the issue onto us. We have eaten at rock and rose on numerous occasions and yet our loyalty meant nothing to them and therefore don’t expect any level of a quality or accountability on their part

Delicious food, marvelous service. Never disappoints

I visited the Rock and Rose yesterday and the whole experience was amazing. There were 6 of us and we all had such a top time. We were looked after by the assistant managers, whose name I have forgotten. He gave us great advice when we were ordering our starters, portion size/flavours etc. We had the Asian platter, prawns and the arancini. Everything tasted to good and the stand out was the Korean chicken. What made it so good was that he said he would take our main order after we had eaten the starters. It was so good as that we were not being rushed and gave us chance to maybe change our minds. All mains were great along with the desserts. I cannot wait to go back there. My only regret is that I hadn’t been there before. 10/10 yesterday. Thank you very much.

We returned to Rock and Rose yesterday for Sunday lunch and were so impressed. The food was excellent (roast lamb, roast chicken, seabass) and beautifully presented. The staff were very welcoming and the Bloody Mary's are to die for! Highly recommended.

Disappointing. Table wasn’t ready and had to be cleaned on arrival. Left standing around in everyone’s way by the bar. Very cold drafty restaurant yesterday. One of the waiters of about 5 ! handed me a hot plate , instead of coming around the table . Mediocre food, well over priced for the end results . Chicken milanese, over sauced duck starter. Got our drinks order wrong . Received our food before our cocktails ordered. Difficult to get a waiters attention and then on leaving nobody asked us if we enjoyed our meal or said goodbye. The funniest part was when the waiter asked us if we wanted to split the bill between 3 . My daughter is 6 years old ! lol

Perfect on all fronts, food and cocktails were amazing! They have an amazing cocktail list, perfectly crafted and with great attention to detail. Celebrated a birthday, so they offered a cocktail on the house with sparklers. Will come back, to try some more delicious cocktails!!

Had a birthday lunch today at the Chiswick restaurant, it was amazing!! We had the prawns and squid to start, my fiancé had the duck tacos as a main and I had the sea bass. All food was exceptional, the Flying Goose Bloody Mary is to die for. Overall a ten ten experience, I was expecting it to be good as I’ve been to Annie’s several times but The Rock and Road blew us away.

The cocktails and food were nice. I enjoyed the golden peacock cocktail. And the sharing dessert platter was beautiful. I visited because I heard great things about the restaurant. The service I received was shocking. The man who served us, Alex, took our food away without asking if we had finished. Minimal communication between the waiter and us. He then brought the bill over to our table without asking us if we are ready. The overall service I had last night wasn’t the best.

Nice decor, Good food and cocktails, lack of a few main courses off of the menu was disappointing (no pork belly), especially as our table was around lunchtime.
