Wow what an amazing place and very cosy too, we were with friends coming from abroad and they loved it. Service was outstanding Angel made sure we hade everything on time and our guests were pleased with everything, legend will be back again soon definitely

Sadly The crown did not match our expectations on Friday night. The food was average but not value for money. Service was slow as we were in the back dining area where we were hidden away so staff were not ready available to catch our eye when we needed something. Most of the staff were lovely but we were not impressed with who we thought could have been management as he was not wearing black uniform (sleeve tattoo) . He was rude and passive aggressive in his approach each time he came to take our orders. Obviously did not enjoy the job. Very disappointing experience and we will not be back . Plenty more fab pubs in this area .

We booked a table at the Crown yesterday to watch the rugby. The atmosphere was buzzing, the food was tasty and service attentive. I would recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area. We’ll be back to try their Sunday roast!

We were in the dining area not to busy which was good didn’t have to wait for food to long. Our server Angel was amazing and attentive definitely will be back again

Had a brilliant meal at The Crown, a great Young’s & Co’s Brewery pub with a warm atmosphere, excellent service, and top-notch food. The smoked haddock from the specials board was outstanding—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also tried the sirloin steak from the regular menu, which was just as impressive—juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection.

Outstanding experience at The Crown this week for a lunchtime visit with family. The food was top drawer, with great choices and flavours, served promptly, with professionalism and politeness. The experience we had at The Crown, turned a good day out in to a great one.

Wonderful food, atmosphere and staff. This pub is a fantastic find. It also has a private dining room which my aunt and uncle hired for their 50th anniversary and it was a perfect family gathering.

The Crown had been recommended to us for Sunday lunch and the food most certainly did not disappoint, nor did the service. And the cost for the food was actually really rather reasonable, it was the wine that hiked the bill up (as with all pubs). We were sat in the large, high ceiled 'back room' which lacked the coziness of other areas of the pub. The premises is vast and the main front pub area was busy with young families, dogs and general Sunday afternoon drinkers. So if are looking for a more formal but cosy/intimate lunch, ask to be seated in the middle area that you have to talk to get to the larger back room.

We went for a family lunch to celebrate several birthdays, the waiting staff were very friendly and welcoming and took our orders for drinks quite quickly and gave us plenty of time to look at the menu. Most had starters and were happy with those particularly the mushrooms on toast, the sourdough wasn’t good - it was either stale or had been warmed through and left to go cold so ended up being nothing like sourdough . Our main courses arrived but unfortunately one didn’t arrive until everyone else was halfway through theirs (admittedly we could have all waited and let our food get cold) and unbelievably it happened again with pudding to the same person!! Food was overall good - typical pub food. Our overall impression was that more staff were needed as it was extremely busy

This is our favourite place for a family get-together. We have used the private room 3 times for my husband’s birthday. This last time he was 103! The family gets bigger and bigger as new babies arrive. And the lunches have been consistently excellent. Wines too. And prices are not noticeably higher! Service has been outstanding throughout the 8 years we’ve been coming. We also enjoy coming in smaller groups and eating in the main dining area and garden. Crown Pub, you are unbeatable!

How can a small bottle of non alcoholic beer cost almost £6.00.

Group of 10 at lunchtime on Monday 27th January 2025. All diners 70+ and all staff were extremely attentive and patient especially Vanessa who managed our individual orders with aplomb. A really pleasant dining experience facilitated by efficient and welcoming staff

Excellent pub in Twickenham (about a ten minute walk from St Margret's train station and 26 minutes from Vauxhall) with large separate dining area and main area of the pub. A second dining space (just to the right of the entrance) is I believe available for hire. Great selection of beers and wines and the food is excellent too - especially their fish and chips! All staff interacted with on my visit were absolutely charming and professional and would highly recommend a visit.

I used the crown’s dining room to run a business meeting, the service and the food was excellent.

Went here last night for a Birthday meal. Have to say the food wasn’t up to the usual high standard, having said that we have been here before on a few occasions and its always been great so maybe just an off day, we all have them!! One thing that was absolutely perfect though was the service given by Hamish. What a star!! We will be back here for food and not least because of Hamish!!

The food was fabulous, top quality, tasty, fresh. We had roast beef, haddock fish and chips and steak pie. I couldn't believe how packed was it by 12.30, fully booked; tells enough of quality. I gave 3 stars for service just because there was not much help in getting us a table and chairs, had to carry it myself. The rest of service was great, quick and fire place was great. Well done, thanks.

We had a fabulous meal from here. We ordered the Bream and the burger, followed by a chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Staff were very attentive, and couldn’t do enough. Can’t wait for our next visit!

I must stress that we don’t recommend this pub due to their disappointing hospitality and the poor effort made by the staff. We booked out the private room for a birthday. The help with setting up the venue was minimal. The guests were not being served their drinks to the point where a relative had to resort to asking the waiters to serve the guests their drinks. The food was probably the only adequate part of birthday dinner. Our waiter, was rude and ‘officious’, as one of the guests pointed out, and throughout the dinner was hastily waiting on us seemingly in hope that we would leave early so that they could close early. Overall, we experienced terrible service and, in the case of hiring the private room, we expected at least a consistent and adequate service which, sadly, the Crown did not fulfill. It’s a shame as we have been very loyal to this pub for years. We won’t be returning for their service again.

Spent Christmas day here with my family. It was the worst possible meal we have ever had. The starters were inedible, the turkey roast was prcessed meat with vegetables that were either over cooked or under cooked. The service was slow. There was no christmas atmosphere. We didn't complain as it would not have been fair to the staff. They could only cook the ingredients that had been given to them. There were not enough staff working for the event. Would never eat at this pub again. Does not even deserve one star.

As a veggie, the roast options are often bland but I was really happy with the side orders. They were delicious and made up a whole meal for me. Our waiter Hamish couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly. Very nice experience. Would definitely come again :)

Sadly my starter was dreadful. It was burrata which was served with squash that was burnt in places, still had the outer skin attached in places. It looked ugly too. It should never have left the kitchen.

Had 4 pints of real ale by the real fire. Didn't eat but the food is good as I have eaten there before. Dog friendly. Harvey's and Shere Drop beers.

I booked a Christmas meal for 21 people at The Crown - and the unanimous view was : It was fantastic. We were in a private dining room, which was beautifully laid out. The food was delicious - a good choice of dishes. The service was really excellent : fast, efficient and friendly. I visited the venue before the meal and the staff were really helpful in advising on options and explaining how the service would work. Overall excellent. We would definitely book again.

Family Christmas lunch always great at The Crown. Very cosy Christmas atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Food delicious but disappointed the liver has been taken off the menu - hope it will be reinstated soon.

Had lunch here yesterday. Great menu and really good quality food at reasonable prices. I would define the food as Gastro, properly prepared, not frozen and microwaved. lovely building and great dining room. Thoroughly recommend.

staff, food and wine were terrific. It was really busy but you would have felt we were the only people in there. Sausage and Mash and the Pie were fabulous. Looking forward to the Australia game now.

I think the welcome set up could be better. A lady manager I presume had her back to us for 5 mins tapping away on a laptop but would have clearly seen we were waiting had she been facing outwards & would have been more welcoming. Service at table was a bit slow to start with, water was delivered quickly but no one came back to take our order dor drinks for a while. We live nearby & when it was a Pearmain pub we came often, but stopped eating when Youngs took over as the food went really downhill. Delighted to report food is now far far better & we wouldn’t hesitate to book for a family dinner again.

We had a fabulous time at The Crown last Sunday lunchtime. The team was absolutely brilliant with our boat club group of 30 people. We had pre-ordered our food and Angel, Cata & Arnie delivered it all very quickly. It was all delicious, and hot. Big thanks to the kitchen and serving team. We’ll definitely be back.

I went with a party of 30 for Sunday lunch. The drink range was good and reasonably priced for London. My roast dinner and those of my companions was very good in quality and quantity. The staff managed to get the meals for our party out quickly and no fuss and dealt with paying very efficiently.

Beautiful pub, very personal and intimate for dining. Good for all sizes of party. Angel, our waiter, is friendly and accommodating :)

We choose a later lunch as can usually get a parking bay in the small car park. Arrived 2pm & seated in the dog friendly area which is comfortable & plenty of space for four legged family member to lie down. Very friendly server who immediately took our drinks order & provided a large bowl of doggie water. So far, so good. The menu is varied plus a specials board to choose from. From our 6 visits this year what is most noticeable is the reduction in what is offered with each course. The chicken schnitzel, £17, came with tenderstem brocoli but no carbs. To add chips, £5, made the cost expensive for an average sized plate of food. The calves liver & bacon, £19, came with mash but no vegetables. Again need to add another £4.50 to make this a properly balanced meal. All portion sizes have got a whole lot smaller. Starters of mushrooms on toast now offers just one thin slice of sourdough bread, with proportionally less mushrooms. The mackerel pate half the size of each component. At least these dishes still include all the ingredients previously offered unlike the distorted balance of the Mains missing ones. Everyone appreciates costs have risen dramatically in the last 2 years but this style of economy is most unappealing. Starters were enjoyed despite it being a somewhat short lived experience. After a longish wait our cheery server removed our empty plates & asked if we were ready for our main course. Too right we were, the appetites only tickled by the mean starters. The wait started & continued. At 3pm the next table was served, their orders being taken just prior to ours. We thought, hooray, ours will be next. Staff members rushed around but sadly all going past our table. At 3 20pm I managed to catch the eye of our server to enquire where the overdue lunches were. She apologised for the wait, asked at the kitchen & told us our orders were on the Pass & would be served without delay. Hmmm, well another 12 minutes went by until the food finally arrived. Overall the meals were good (with the exception of overdone liver) served fresh & hot & our dog enjoyed her 2 sausages. But the wait, the mean portions & the irritation factor didn't make for the most relaxing experience. There are plenty of other similar establishments to choose from, no doubt they are faced with the same cost cutting challenges but seem to have addressed them with greater satisfactory customer expectation. Sorry Crown but that was our final visit.

Me and my wife just moved into the area, this was splendid place to visit, nice goat cheese crochets with surprising and refreshing vinaigrette, went amazing with our negroni. Amazing food introduction and service from Frank, we will back for more. thanks

Yet again our lovely ( & rather expensive) meal was absolutely ruined by unruly children. If The Crown want to keep all their customers happy they need to have a separate section for families with small children. I would object less during the day but an evening meal is not the place for littles. Sadly now we will not be returning

We went there for an early dinner without a reservation. The manager confirmed a table and told us we would have to leave the table after 2 hours which was more than enough time. In the dining room there were multiple noisy children running around and rolling on the floor. The service was super slow. We had to repeatedly shout across the room to gain attention for our order. The food was delicious and hot. After an hour and 10 minutes the waiter told us that we had to leave the table as someone else wanted to be seated there. Really?? The dining room was virtually empty. He said we could move to the bar which we declined. We just asked for the bill and left. I can't remember such appalling service. The price of the dinner and drinks was expensive for what we had. I won't be coming back.

Best pub in the area! Visited recently for their new pub quiz which was great fun. Michelle & team are exceptional.

Loved the Crown and will go again. Service is great in terms of speed and friendliness and there is always someone around. What I noticed was that all of the staff will serve instead of just a designated waiter. On the food, I just didn't like the chips not authentic enough for 5 stars but good enough to order again.

The food is delicious and a great range on the menu. Service is always welcoming and friendly.

We’ve been coming to The Crown for almost 5 years and decided it would be the perfect location for our small, informal wedding reception. From our initial enquiry right the way through to closing time on the day we cannot fault Michelle (Manager) and her amazing team. The food was simply amazing and we had some difficult guests to please. Not one person could fault the food. The atmosphere was amazing and the team were simply superb. We often wished we lived next door to the venue, but in reality, thank goodness we don’t…we’d never be out the place. The Crown, we simply love you!

Lovely pub in Twickenham with so nice food and drinks. Last Sunday i have been here by myself for Sunday roast. I really enjoyed my pork loin and so crispy potatoes with season vegetables and gravy. One thing what i didn't like it's what i was supposed to pay straight away for my food and drinks as no one will come around to take my order. My roast looked really nice, but I don't like when gravy comes already on the plate, not in a little gravy boat. Price for roast around 20£. For lunch/dinner per one person with drink with be around 35£.
