We went for the Sunday lunch here as it was my father's birthday. We had to go to the bar to ask to be seated and were taken through to the back room. We were asked as we were sitting down if we were ready to order drinks, as we hadn't looked at the menu yet we asked for a minute. No one came back to take our order, after twenty minutes we had to flag down the bartender and she would only take our drinks order. We then had to flag down one of the waiters after waiting 45 minutes. In this time the table next to us got seated, had their order taken and their food served before we were over asked for our food order. When we asked the waitress about this and the wait time she was extremely rude to us and just dismissed that they were busy. The food was lovely and was the only redeeming factor but it should not be an hour from sitting down to receiving food. Incredibly disappointed in this visit.

The food was good, without being inspiring. Actually, the calamari were much better than the "golden rings" in many places. The staff are friendly and helpful. Prices for both food and drinks favourable compared to most local alternatives. The furnishings and decor lack sparkle, and the atmosphere on Sunday evening, with just a few customers spread around the room, was predictably flat. I don't think you could go wrong here if you are looking for a good value meal: the menu is wide-ranging, so could work well for kids.

Booked the triple room which was clean and tidy. Room a little tired but for the price, great value. There is self check in with a code and a car park which is small and first come basis. It is a pub and late night bar, so it might get noisy in the lower floor rooms.

Due to work commitments on Sunday, we visited as a family of 5 on Saturday evening for an early mother's day meal. The pub had a lively and happy atmosphere and the service was good. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Lots of choice on the menu plus a daily specials board.

We go regularly to the Bird in Hand at Beck Row. We go with different friends. We all love it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is always good. It’s got a nice warmth about it. There plenty of car parking space. It’s got a lovely atmosphere. There is plenty of seating and is always nice and clean. We all love it.

Review of Christmas Club Meal. Arrived very busy ordered drinks from bar nice gin a bit slow with only one serving. Seated in the main restaurant where the carvery is situated. We had 4 large tables. Place settings nice and Christmas themed. The starters very nice liked the mini Camembert cheese the cranberry sauce a bit runny. Mains from are served from the carvery, meats were either beef, turkey. A fish and what looked like a vegetarian nut roast. Had Turkey it was nice and moist and tasty. Pigs in blanket good, roasted potatoes these were very over cooked dry and hardly edible, carrot and parsnips good, broccoli very hard nearly raw. Other vegetables very good. The contentious do or do you not have Yorkshire with Turkey, well I did again over cooked and kept warm also tasted very oily. Deserts I had the cheese and crackers, very good selection of cheeses, like the warm bread but the crackers were soft as having being left out to long or old stale. The other selections not to my taste as with most restaurants now consist of salted caramel or a variety of chocolate dish’s, cheese cake offered not my taste. Finished with very good mince pies and tea or coffee. Service good throughout. Overall worth the money best better if they sort the carvery over or undercooked items out.

My wife and I sometimes come here for lunch on Sunday or occasionally stop for dinner. The buffets (both cavery & chinese) offer a good selection and are well stocked. One of out favourite local eateries.

Nice quaint pub, lovely lady serving. But sadly food very poor, sliced processed ham and 1 potato chopped up and deep fried as chips with fried eggs at a price of £6.50. Coffee £2.50 in a normal household mug that wasn't very clean. We won't be returning

Thought we would give this place a go for a spot of lunch. Ordered the sausage, mozzarella and red onion marmalade ciabatta. What a disappointment and mistake for £11.50. No mozzarella, an overload of red onion marmalade and ONE measley sausage that had been cut to pound coin thickness and disappeared into the sludge of marmalade, which I had to scrape out as there was far too much and was sickly sweet. Couldn't even taste the sausage. Talk about stingey! Come on, I expect two sausages as an absolute minimum! The waitress to be fair did reduce the price and commented they have already mentioned to the kitchen there really ought to be more than one sausage. And I see previous reviews also complaining about the same issue. As a side note I don't need my ciabatta cutting in half for me, I am not a child and can do this myself if I so wish. Won't be returning here to waste my money which is a shame as it is nice to have somewhere different to go.

Popular place in town day or night. Always a band on at the weekend or there's the challenge of karaoke on Thursday evenings. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. They're very personable and the main reason I like going in there. I've not had the food there myself but I've never heard anything bad about it, I like to do my own food at home, that's my own choice and nothing to do with the wagon.
