Takes an awfully long time to get food. Batter not very crispy.

Clean, friendly service and good food.

Wouldn't recommend buying from and personally won't be buying from here again. Chips were hard and overcooked so couldn't eat barley any, sausage was rock hard and had been sitting there for ages. Curry sauce was so runny and very over priced

Went in to get a cod and chips and the cod was so disgusting. It was like it had been sat there for a least 3 days. The guy over charges for such a small cod £9.10 for a “large cod” which was mainly batter. The previous owners where good but the owners there now are terrible. DO NOT GO TO THIS FISH AND CHIP SHOP

Very friendly. But I didn't appreciate having a portion of Cod re frayed, it was dried up and un enable!

The chips for me personally, are just consistently bad every time. Lovely and crisp on the outside, and rock hard and dead as a nail inside. And the curry sauce is very thin, hope they figure it out soon because the shop is in a convenient spot and always looks very clean inside.

Phenomenal and delicious! Immediate description that comes to mind and taste buds. A MUST visit location. The guys were extremely welcoming, good absolutely delicious and fresh, and price is very reasonable. Do NOT pass up. A must visit.

Keep away order sausage and chips twice at £14 was warmed up chips and a cold sausage if I wasn't in a rush I'd of gone back in how do they get away with serving food like this at them prices is beyond me

Ordered small cheesy chips, sausages and a can of coke. £3.90 for about 15 chips with a strand of cheese. The Sausages were anaemic. Even the coke was disgusting. Had to wait 40 minutes for it but had to sit outside because it smelt of sick inside. It was so bad I had to go elsewhere for my dinner.

There has been a chip shop here for decades. Decent food, decent variety of food, selection of drinks. I was there on one of the few days of decent weather in August 2023 and sat outside with my meal. When they saw I was sitting outside, rather than 'taking away', they were very attentive and rushed out a knife, fork, salt & vinegar to me. Excellent eat-in area and a big area to eat outside.

I don’t write reviews but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. 2 couples at table with 2 different orders but both simple and they couldn’t get it right or fix they’re mistake. Shorted one then when asked about it made them pay for fish they had already payed for then my wife ordered cod and they brought her something else and argued with us that it was cod when it obviously wasn’t. On top of all of that all the food was cold and stale. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to eat instead of wasting your money here!

Decidedly average fish and chips. I asked for a large fish, large chips and large mushy peas. Apart from the fish being large, I couldn't see any difference in portion size from my wife's small chips and small mushy peas. The food wasn't particularly warm either. I will try the other fish and chip shop in Mildenhall next time.

Wednesday 26th October evening fish chips and chicken nuggets , large portions , fresh cooked , expensive however good quality and didn't have to wait long.

Great freshly cooked food, fast service, clean and friendly people serving at the counter.

I remember every Friday around 5 or 6 pm the Snushall's fish and chip van would come down our street. Small cod was 35p, medium was 40p and large was 45p. The chips was priced 15p, 20p, and 25p for small, medium and large. Always delicious and always very exciting!l times! Those were the days back in 1980, as I recall. It's been many sunny and rainy days gone by. The pics of the cod don't look as good as I once remember, but I'm still giving 5 stars. Hopefully, I'll get to relive my memory lane one of these days.

Every Friday night for 3 years best fish n chips hands down

Normally use another fish and chip shop but as we were shopping at Sainsburys in town we decided to give Mildenhall Fish and chips a try. Big mistake…. Probably the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Fish was thin and dry and chips were mostly small chip ends. Very poor value for money defiantly won’t be going back.

Having just moved to this county from Essex, I'm finding lots of local shops close early, so everywhere is a bit hit n miss,!! Got freshly cooked food from here, it was plentyfull and delicious for the price

Great fish and chip shop. My wife and I went there several times when we were on holiday in Suffolk. Friendly staff and delicious fish and chips. They also sell alcohol as well. When we last visited the weather was very nice and we sat outside on the decked area at the front of the shop. It was lovely having fish and chips and a beer. 👍😎

I ordered around £50 of cod and chips ect. Really fast and friendly service. All the food tasted amazing and fresh. Could not have asked for anything better. Would highly recommend coming here if you live or you are passing through mildenhall. They also serve doner and chicken kebabs which no other fish and chips place round here do. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me.

Staff have attitude. When I asked what the difference was between a small and large sausage supper, the staff member replied with 'a large is large and a small is small'. Not a great way to speak to a customer asking a simple question.

He then didn't even bother to apologise for his mistake and argued it was mine and charged on top with a dirty grin. The icing on the cake was that he asked if we wanted salt and vinegar and didn't even bother to do that either. If it's worth your time, I'd say check out the other chippy around the corner and save yourself the hassle.

Expensive and food nasty could not believe it that bad

We visited this place on a Monday lunchtime to get a takeaway. We ordered two battered sausages with chips and 1 cod and chips. The battered sausages were so hard and dried up it was difficult to cut them and bite into them. The God was also very dry and absolutely tasteless and the chips were undercooked and very hard. We were looking forward to our meal very much but ended up throwing half of it away. A complete waste of money.

Humongous cod and chips sold here! Massive piece of cod, slightly undercooked. Lovely chips, proper chip shop chips. Good value for money.

Very tasty. Chips weren't greasy and fish was a good sized portion with decent batter. I had chicken pieces which were mildly spicy/herby and very nice. I recommend you visit

Not very happy with this shop. The product was slow in being produced, there being two persons serving. One was involved in supplying a customer with a large collected order. The second person did not assist in the supplying of my two portions of fish and chips. This resulted in our fish being dry and tough when we came to eat it.

The staff was very friendly, the service was fast and the food was really good. I wish this place was closer to home because I'd become a regular.

This is third time in a month I’ve had fish and chips at Mildenhall’s Fish & Chips. I’ve been on a fish and chips binge eating my way from Edinburgh to London. While I had many excellent cod along the way Mildenhall’s tops them all. Can’t beat it. Great price delicious product.

Well, I work for the Ambulance service and we needed some chips on route to meal break and at 21.15 they surved us well, welcomed us in and happy to help, and friendly clean staff worn masks, due to covid, and clean shop, fridge was full and we managed to catch up on the TV as well. Lovely hot meal, discount ie a free coke.. We will soon be back. Cheers guys, see soon, well worth a visit, lots of chips for a medium chips and nice fresh fish. 🍟👍🐟👍👌 Nige

Second best fish'n chip shop in mildenhall great texture and taste until you take it home breading falls off,chips just as good as Rumbles.

Absolutely love this place. We've been going here every Friday for the past 2 years and they never disappoint! I love their kebab, chicken burger and chips!!! Highly recommend! The employees are so kind and amazing workers!! :)

I like the cod in this place but the service in my recent visit there was miscommunication. I asked for fried chicken and the guy said they ran out but they have half chicken. Later on, I found out that the half chicken was not fried but was roasted. If he told he told me it wasn’t fried I would’ve said no and it would have been fine. They fried the roast chicken for me and i was happy about it.

This is the best bit of fish and chips in the area (in my opinion) whether you want to eat in or take away

Turned up quite late for lunch but this was not a problem. Ordered for adults and children and the service was first class. Very quick and served by friendly staff. Freshly cooked and good sized portions. Excellent and tasty food. Good restroom facilities. Will definitely return.

Been here several times thought about time for a review. The place is nice and clean. Service good and efficient even for item cooked to order. Fish good tasty and not dry good batter. The chip cooked OK could be less oily though large portions of chips so be hungry. Would be be better with smaller size portion cooked and drained in better quality oil.
