Nice clean Pub serving pub style meals. Good service from bar staff and service from kitchen. Order at the bar and food brought to your table. Food very nice large portions, all meals nicely presented, and tasted good. We had a lasagna, all breakfast, burger with bacon and a chilli con carne. See photos.

Popular place in town day or night. Always a band on at the weekend or there's the challenge of karaoke on Thursday evenings. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. They're very personable and the main reason I like going in there. I've not had the food there myself but I've never heard anything bad about it, I like to do my own food at home, that's my own choice and nothing to do with the wagon.

Went to this pub today expecting to have a good breakfast but the overpowing smell of horses saw us walk straight out no longer on our go to places.

My partner and I came here for a Sunday Roast. We both went for the Chicken and also had a drink, our total was £32 so not that bad. The food came really quickly but was not piping hot like you would expect/hope. The roast potatoes were quite hard and the vegetables were mushy. I assume that it was all frozen and/or reheated. It was still ok and we finished the lot, but probably wouldn’t come back here for the roast again. However, staff were lovely and the atmosphere was good. Very decent prices and a good selection of drinks.

The reason for such an average score was the SHOCKING amount of flies present in the venue. Made me wonder how many had milled around my glass before my drink was served. Also wondered what had died in there to breed so. many. FLIES!

Today went in for breakfast which I can not complain about but I'm trying to make phone calls and talk business and the music is so loud............ Turn the music down on them huge speakers it's 11 in the morning not Saturday night since the refurbed it's trying to go all trendy ruining what used to be a great pub....... Turn the fricking music down..... Can't fault the food tho..

Lunch time meal with grandchildren. The pub looks great after its resent renovations. Good pud style menu to choose from. Ordered drinks and food from bar. Food all freshly cooked we had sausages 3no two eggs chips and beans, brie and cranberry panini with chips salad and cold slaw and a Hunters chicken with chip and salad. All were very good looking and taste. Only comment the eggs and chips were over cooked for my taste. Good friendly services. See pics.

Pleasant pub courtyard on a hot Sunday afternoon. Good selection of alcohol free beers and fast service at the bar. TV sport was a bit noisy though.

Had a small Sunday roast, really good value enough for me. Everything I sure was fresh. Wife had the Beef I had pork. Very nice @£9:50 each. Staff friendly as well.

A massive apology to this pub as I previously posted a review that was actually meant for a different pub in Newmarket that we visited. I quoted rude staff etc but was a mistake I can say that the wagon and horses is s actually the best pub we visited in Newmarket and staff and management was fantastic with there hospitality. Even giving us a free drink to celebrate there newly refurbished pub Again sincere apologies Look forward to visiting again Would highly recommend for a drink and food

Great little boozer, with simply great food, great beers, great atmosphere inside and outside in beer garden, plus the ideal place for a great all day breakfast and a few beers before off to the races. Definite recommend and will use again and again, whenever at the races!!

Best full English breakfast in Newmarket if you like a greasy full English that is. Not had much else off the menu or go drinking there often but the full English is worth it

I go here for the full English whenever I get the opportunity, which isn't often enough! The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is as good as I've ever had. Small breakfast includes bacon, local sausage (delicious!), fried egg, mushrooms, beans, hash brown, tomato and a round of toast, with added black pudding for £6.60 is a bargain and cooked exactly to my liking. Great place! Hope it doesn't change when the new owners come in 🙏🏽

Went as a large group (about 20 of us) for breakfast and the food was excellent, speedy, and well-priced. They even catered well for the veggies, vegans, and gluten-free among us.

My husband and I often have lunch in the Waggon and Horses Newmarket. The food is very good ,and a reasonable price. Today we chose the homemade steak and ale pie with chips,peas and gravy. The pie was the best I had tasted for a long time. The steak was well cooked and the pastry was lovely and a beautiful colour. The staff are friendly too!

I travel to Newmarket regularly to go to the Horseracing Museum just down the road and this the first place I stop at for breakfast decently priced after my visit to the museum I always again stop off for a few beers before getting a bus or train home thoroughly recommend it went yesterday another excellent breakfast and a nice couple of pints always my first port of call in Newmarket

23rd Dec22 My Daughter and colleagues from work were have post meal drinks £100 + spent and joined by my Grand Daughter after a hard day as a works rider at 5.30 when I arrived .After 6 my Gr Daughter at 17+ but not drinking was asked to leave as being under age after 6pm. Sorry but it might be your rules but it's not the law so get you facts right and show some discretion. Remember your name and existence depends on the racing industry. Anon Very angry.

What a great find. If you just want cheap pub grub, this is the place. Delicious succulent food at an extremely good price and the friendliest staff and clientele. Council car park opposite. Not expensive. Will definitely go back.

Horrible place. Recommend you do not go here based on my experience with a teenager who asked for an orange juice in their garden. Not suitable if you have children.

we went here last night and had a really great evening. The food was good. we all really enjoyed the quiz. The one thing I was very impressed was that we had a table booked the far end of the pub but as soon as the guy saw that my friend was using a walking stick and was struggling, he straight away changed our table to the road end so we didn't need to use the stairs, he then showed us a way to go to the bathroom without using the steps. The quiz master and the staff were all very friendly. will definitely visit the next time we are here. Thank you all for an enjoyable evening

Visited Newmarket for a couple of days and had breakfast here.. This was one of the best breakfast I have had. Fresh hot and very nice . A big well done the chef

I Took my workforce there for breakfast and a few pints before going to the races , I spoke to someone I know who was passing on the hight street , he was drinking from a bottle not purchased at the waggon , after this I was told I would not be served any more as I had associated with this person , what a load of tosh , we will go elsewhere to spend our money in future , their loss ,I take them out on a regular basis and spend lots

Nice place to go hang out and sing/ listen to people attempt to sing their favor toons on a Thursday evening. Descent amout of people and a good amout of space on the side of the bar or outside. Drinks at an affordable price.

Well what an amazing breakfast we had here and the value is the best I’ve ever had, especially in these times of increasing prices everywhere, food is fab and freshly cooked and also includes the drink,, we had orange juice extra too and the whole thing came to almost half the price of anywhere locally but I can honestly say this is better all round, thanks and we will be regularly visiting from now on

Always a fab atmosphere, great fun

Definitely worth a visit, huge portion of food with a reasonable price, no need to mention the quality of food. Chips are well made, fired first and then baked to a crispy skin. Highly recommended pub.

Spent a very enjoyable first night in this pub with decent Cask and a good live band. Staff were great too. Went in the next evening and had a Pint of decidedly rope cask so left. Overall a good impression so will be back.
