usually a great spot but there’s one server with curtains who got aggressive after the smallest complaint when we didn’t receive our drinks, really ruined an otherwise great vibe…

Awful Bar. Paid for a round of drink and then was asked to pay again. i showed the rude bar staff proof that the money had been paid but they still refused to give me my drinks unless i paid again? Discusting. I paid twice hoping the first payment wouldn’t come out of my account but nope, they took double for 1 round.

We visited twice on our week's holiday. Both times the food was excellent and piping hot . Service was lovely and prompt. The roast pork dinner was beautiful . We loved the decor in the garden room . Would definitely visit again x

Had the fish&chips and peas with glass of Prosecco, before going to the theatre didn't have to wait long so no worries about getting to the theatre on time.

We have been coming to the Waveney River Centre in all its forms for nearly fifty years so have seen a lot of changes. We dropped our son and grandson off at Oulton Broad for them to paddle board and meet us for lunch. Everything went as planned, my wife and I drove there and had a drink at the bar until they arrived. Upon arrival they were told that the cost of getting their paddle boards onto dry land would be £30! Another family were told the same. Upon complaining, the guy said he would “let you off this time”. Indicating he would make the charge next time. When asked why they were told “it’s to deter cars at busy times”! There were six cars in the car park! Easy to see why there were so few! We spent over £100 in the restaurant. The food was ok but not exceptional price was average for these days. Something we won’t be doing again with such an attitude. Well done Waveney River Centre you have lost any future custom from us and the other family who like us live locally. No doubt more of our boating friends whom we shall be sharing our experience.

Having visited in a number of occasions over the past thirty years, I recommended this place to friends for a for us meal. The food was average and dare I say tasteless. It was not as flavoursome as in previous visits. We had a sauce and if I didn’t know the flavour before, I’d never have known it when on my food. The service was average but staff were attentive, if a tad forgetful. The place itself was clean and its higgledy piggledy layout of rooms is charming. We only ate in the restaurant so cannot comment of accommodation. Ample parking.

Our tea and lunch were absolutely lovely! However the toilets were a disgrace - broken seat in the disabled loo, dirty and smelly - come on Morrisons step up!

Lovely traditional pub in a lovely setting with large car park to the rear. We went for a family getogether & meal. The food is lovely with a good choice & ability to adapt the choices as it is all home made & fresh. The portions are massive. Everyone is friendly & hospitable the price is excellent less than £80 for 5 mains & 3 puddings. An old style traditional pub not trying to pretend it is anything else. We don't live locally but if we did we would definetely be locals, what an asset to the area.
