Whitney Houston bottomless brunch - singer was amazing and we were so well looked after by all of the staff. Really friendly fun afternoon

Awful Bar. Paid for a round of drink and then was asked to pay again. i showed the rude bar staff proof that the money had been paid but they still refused to give me my drinks unless i paid again? Discusting. I paid twice hoping the first payment wouldn’t come out of my account but nope, they took double for 1 round.

We were 5 for Christmas day lunch, and we had an amazing time. We had drinks on the sofa in the bar on arrival and were then seated in the dining room facing the green. The staff were brilliant, they were friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious and of a high quality. As you would expect eating out on Christmas day comes at a premium, but totally worth it , thank you Black Lion and Merry Christmas.

Always a fantastic meal at the Victoria. It’s a curated menu and it’s always a sure bet that everything on it will be delicious. This time around the mussels with garlic breadcrumbs was the stand out, with as always, a divine roast dinner! Beef or Pork! I highly recommend a visit there, particularly worth while after a blustery walk on the beach!

Ate at the Swan yesterday and ordered the Pork Belly. It was definitely sub-standard. There was hardly any meat, the fat was not rendered, the crackling was limp and inedible and the broccoli, ordered as a side, was cold and overcooked. However, the gravy was good and so was the mash. We have eaten at the Swan many times and usually have no complaints, so perhaps yesterday they were just having an off day but still, I would not recommend this dish.

We had a very nice meal at The Swan Inn. The food was very good and the service was amazing. The staff were very helpful and served the food with a smile. The only problem we had was the oat milk in a latte but the staff quickly apologised and took it off our bill. I would totally recommend this little gem!

We had our booking booked for over a month and 2 days before we were due to travel we got a call to say that our booking was cancelled. This really is not good enough. I would have given no stars but there wasn't the option.

Always busy so we use the app as the queue at the bar can get rather long. Staff work hard and as fast as they can and are always friendly and helpful! Food is great value and I really enjoy it. Recommended the curries!!

This is an average spoons. Everyone i was with thought their food and drink was very "Alright" The food is nothing special. No tastes that popped out, but nothing grim really. Just, alright pub food. We had pizza, snack wraps, the sticky special chicken, as well as most of the pitchers, and a couple beers. MILK GOOD. The beers were good, but the pitchers were pretty inconsistent with strengths, and tastes. Everything was alot cleaner than we expected however. The table and menus were clean. And th staff seemed friendly, but they were in keep your head down and do your job and just get through the day mode. which is understandable as it was a sunday haha. Overall, It was a spoons. what more is there to say.

Sands by the Sea is a standout dining destination in Southend-on-Sea. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and Kristine, the manager, went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary calamari tasting, a thoughtful gesture after a disappointing experience at a nearby restaurant. The food is outstanding, with the fish being particularly fresh and expertly prepared. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the area. For excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious cuisine, Sands by the Sea is highly recommended.

Went with a group of ppl to Thursford Christmas spectacular. Then we book up here for a meal on the way home 52 of us from Hadara club. It was so nice and cosy. The service was fantastic and the food so delicious and tasty lovely and hot. Nothing was too much trouble they put crackers on the table and we had mince pies. Family run business they sure did look after us all and made us so welcome. I would highly recommend this place.

We've been visiting the Waveney River Centre Inn for 20 years, and it just gets better. This summer, we've been many times and the new specials menu is a welcome addition. Yesterday we had the salmon & prawn linguine, sitting on the sunny terrace overlooking the beautiful marshes. Heaven. Great value food and wine, fabulous setting, lovely friendly welcoming staff. See you again later this week!

No beans as on order and soft drink as on order aswell

Over the weekend, my family and I visited a branch that we had been looking forward to, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We placed our order using the device, which felt impersonal and reminded us of fast-food chains like McDonald's. When our order arrived, the waiter abruptly requested the number placard back, which felt rushed. To our surprise, two of the items we received were not what we had ordered. For example, we ordered a chocolate croissant muffin but received a cinnamon croissant instead. Additionally, one of the cake slices we wanted was unavailable, and we ended up with a cookie instead. We were disappointed that we couldn’t get a refund or a suitable substitute for the cake slice. The latte was not frothey and the cappuccino was cold, Overall, this visit didn’t meet our expectations, and we feel it may be best for us to explore other locations in the future. It seems this branch may need to work on its service and menu consistency.

Lovely traditional pub in a lovely setting with large car park to the rear. We went for a family getogether & meal. The food is lovely with a good choice & ability to adapt the choices as it is all home made & fresh. The portions are massive. Everyone is friendly & hospitable the price is excellent less than £80 for 5 mains & 3 puddings. An old style traditional pub not trying to pretend it is anything else. We don't live locally but if we did we would definetely be locals, what an asset to the area.
