The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

Thr attitude to customers from behind the bar needs some serious improvement. A pub is a place to enjoy and socialise and not be on the recieving end of aggressive insulting behaviour

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Rose and Crown 👍 We went along for a music event and chose to also eat there. Good honest pub. No frills. No airs and graces. Friendly staff Good menu Fair prices We had the chicken and veg pie with mash and the scampi and chips. Proper food! Very tasty. Followed it up by two ice-cream sundaes 👍

Site was ok for a pitch up site. Very noisy near and close to the road, ok for one night I suppose if your stuck. The Green Man pub very basic and not like the pictures are showing on Trip Advisor. Not the most scenic site in Norfolk. Will not return .

I think the burger and drink for £15 is a great deal, but it needs to be made clearer which drinks are covered in the deal. I had one pint of Moletrap and that was OK .When I changed to my usual drink of Guinness , I was really disappointed. The bar staff did not know how to pour a good pint of Guiness.It came up virtually flat and too cold also.

We always say with this place, its hit and miss. It was miss again this time. Here's what I don't understand. Portions: Some are huge - chicken, some are tiny, almost starters ie fish. All are served with a tiny egg cup of rocket, and on this occasion no vegetables were available! Steak was overcooked. Puddings, tiny! Wait - long! had to remind about drinks. Pie and Mash, well it was pie with a spoon of mash. Such small things to get right. Snappier drinks service, equal portion sizes, and better portions of potatoes and veg. Oh and the crispy potatoes, werent as they were covered in soy sauce. Also the constant use of the word by some staff of "darling" and "my lovelies" is not ingratiating its irritating.

Phill was a star again, we love him, he needs a night off to join us ladies for a ladies night out. P.s don’t forget Christmas Day off

If you come to Cambridge and wanted to do punting granta is the best place to have lunch and then book your punting just next to the restaurant. I ordered fish and chips and taste really good.

I often come here, there are always tables available. Delicious food and pleasant friendly staff!

What a disgusting and vile establishment! We booked a table for 3pm (online) for today 5th January 2025 to celebrate a birthday. Arrived to find on arrival at 2.50pm a note in the window telling people they were closed and were open at 4pm. WE TOOK OUR BUSINESS AND ATE ELSEWHERE! After eating ELSEWHERE, we drove past only to find customers QUEUING at the doors at 5PM. What management runs this place? NEVER AGAIN, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We have eaten here before on Sundays when there is an excellent carvery-style menu. Although this time we visited mid-week, there was still a roast dinner on the menu. The staff kindly agreed to serve less brussel sprouts and more roast potatoes! The whole meal was delicious and very good value. We'll be back.
