Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Rose and Crown 👍 We went along for a music event and chose to also eat there. Good honest pub. No frills. No airs and graces. Friendly staff Good menu Fair prices We had the chicken and veg pie with mash and the scampi and chips. Proper food! Very tasty. Followed it up by two ice-cream sundaes 👍

First time here for Sunday Lunch. Certainly not the last. Friendly welcome. Sunday roast was excellent . We had the small plate roast so we could leave room for the desert. So glad we did Husband said best bread and butter pudding with custard that he has ever tasted. My apple crumble was also delicious. This is a traditional village pub well worth a visit and added bonus it is a Dog Friendly. See you again soon

Local pub - tried the Sunday Roast for £9.95 and absolutely fantastic. All home made freshly cooked and lovely tender meat. Just like eating Sunday lunch at home! Well worth trying in the summer for the boaters!

This is one of several old coaching inns, large timbered Inns with arched openings, the Hotel/Bar/Restaurant is reached through the arch, outside seating along the side for warmer weather, a cosy bar inside with logs burning, and a good range of local and regional ales plus other standard beers and lagers. Was offered a taste of a dark beer to ensure I'd like the pint, theres not much of a choice for pubs centrally but we stayed for several hours with a fireside table and enjoyed starters and mains which we ate in the bar, very good value for money, great choice and the young chef did a very good job on each dish. All in all a very nice cheery place to visit. Its establishments like this that serve both locals and visitors well, hopefully the proposal of a new Wetherspoon's will vanish as this will seriously affect the real life local traders, who in this case know their stuff and provide excellent service. Its a hotel so rooms are available.

Had a drink in this pub one evening and a young man ,Adam, on his own was serving. Its a quiet village but Adam was friendly even though he is still learning the trade. He admits to be a novice but tries his best. Went back for quiz night on Saturday with Adam as quiz master and must say he did a great job. He was funny and entertaining and a natural facing us all. We enjoyed ourselves as did everyone else. Adam is learning but has the making of a great publican with his personality

An old coaching inn with atmosphere to match. No music or TV screen, just a place to drink your pint in comfort, especially in winter with the roaring log fire. Keeps a variety of guest beers too. Good friendly service. Also provides good clean overnight accommodation.

Made to feel like a leper when we walked in by I assume locals just staring. My 13 year old daughter left the door open, to which one of them got up and slammed the door. Was told they'd put 2 small round tables together in the middle of the room for three of us. Felt so uncomfortable we left. Was just like the scene in American werewolf in London, amazed someone wasn't playing darts. Avoid, go to one of the chips shops instead!

Excellent lunch as part of Norfolk Restaurant week. Had 3 courses, delicious chicken breast with parsnip purée, fondant potato, cavolo Nero and mushroom sauce. My husband had bream with a Chinese twist. We both had the steamed Guinness sponge pudding with whiskey caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. Staff are lovely and very attentive despite a busy restaurant. Have been meaning to visit for ages and it was worth the trip! We will be back.

Great pub with fine choice of ales and good veggie / vegan menu. We sat in the extension with great views over the river and port activity. Excellent service too.

Waitress was pleasant and the view was excellent. Poor quality burger and chips. A mug of black coffee served with a small jug of milk is the answer to a flat white. With an increase in hot drink knowledge and good quality food, this would be a super place to dine.
