All fab good food fab staff we have booked again for Easter sunday same time as this visit east to Park and meet up with my daughter who lives in rayleigh

Was served by Phil who was great and super friendly, we all also really enjoyed our half chicken and choccy fudge cake !! :)

Large positions but went cold quickly

I must start by saying I’ll always give an honest review, as all I want to do is eat a nice meal as peacefully as possible. So this review has no reflection on the lady who seated me and my brother, or the young man who was attentive in looking after our meals and drinks. We had the simple meals from the single leafed card for the time of the day, and that was our mistake as we have happily dined before at many harvesters, this particular one being our first visit. The breaded mushroom starters oozed enclosed dripping hot oil as I bit into mine, and my brother cutting one of his on the saucer plate. My Quarter rack rib was seriously the size of a credit card, the bone was on the plate with the meat slid off by the side of it, the bone I thought was a small cracker biscuit, the meat was truly one small mouth full. The 3 pieces of Brockley was like chewing hard gum and I could not chew it long enough to digest it, and the 2 table spoon portion of peas like semi soft peanuts. The only small saviour was the little tea mug sized portions of chips. We endeavoured and ordered apple pie and ice cream, the apple pie being not crust crispy but soggy and look like a deflated car tyre. As I say I think our mistake as the table next to us with orders from the 2 page menu looked wholesome and mouth watering, which is what we’d normally order from all previous Harvester visits. It’s a shame as this was a no hassle car park and excellent on the floor staff. Both of us agreed to never in future order from the single card, it would not be fair to wipe out the previous good visits with one bad episode.

Lovely dinner sat by the window, the food was cooked perfectly and was hot. Our server pearl was bubbly and efficient, very helpful with my friends allergies. Will definitely be back

The restaurant is lovely cosy comfy atmosphere . Good choice of food . The home of the salad bar 👌🏻had a very nice time there 👌🏻

me and boyfriend came here for valentines day, we were served by tiff and she was so lovely :) we unfortunately couldnt tip because we didnt have any physical cash on us, but thank you tiff! food was also really good!

We had a lovely Valentine’s Day here. Served by Phill, who we have had the pleasure of meeting a few times. So friendly and always brings a smile to our faces. The food was wonderful as always, and service was very fast, dispute being a fairly busy night. Look forward to the next one x

we came here for my birthday and it was such a good night ! The waitress we had pearl was lovely and was very patient with the cake and everything like that to make sure my birthday was special and all the other staff walking past wished me a happy birthday it was so lovely, would come here over and over again would recommend to so many people :)

My husband and I came for a meal while in the area, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was amazing, and loved the salad bar. Would definitely like to visit again soon. Hopefully will get to encounter Felix again super friendly and very professional we left very happy thank you Felix.

Absolutely lovely server Phill, couldn’t have been any better. Lovely food. Only downside was some popular salad dishes were empty and steak was served on such a small plate, it was hard to cut anything without tipping things off the plate.

Went for chicken Tuesday £8 per person selection of about 10 dishes the chicken in the burger war rubbery cheap reformed and tasteless chips were cold my wife had simply chicken broccoli was so overcooked it was spongy the same reformed chicken except hers smelt more like fish than chicken salad good as always bread rolls were dry and tasteless not a patch on the tarpons at Benfleet I won’t be going back

Came in on a busy saturday night, Was shown promptly to our table. We were then greeted by our lovely waitress Tiff, She was polite the whole way through, had a lovely chat with us even thought it was busy. Food was delicious so well done to the chefs. Thank you all.

Was served by the lovely Pearl, an absolute diamond. She was running around all night seeing to everyone’s needs making sure everything was how we wanted. I had the perfect sirloin steak cooked just how I asked. A big thank you, will definitely be coming back.

Tiff was our server, had quite a few of us and got everything spot on, I had a Sirloin Steak and it was cooked perfectly! she had a laugh with us all and even though it was super busy she never once seemed seemed to be stressed or phased with how busy it was. she’s a true asset and super hardworking. Well done tiff! We will be back!

From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly welcome with her warm and friendly demeanor. Louise went above and beyond to ensure our experience was enjoyable. She was attentive without being overbearing, quick to answer any questions about the menu, and even offered great recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. Her professionalism and cheerful attitude truly stood out, making the meal even more special. It’s clear that she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about her customers. Other staff members were great also, with keeping the salad bar stocked, and promptly bringing dishes out to our tables in a very timely manor. Thank you, Louise, for making our visit so memorable! Chicken over cooked and peas like bullets

We had a breakfast on Saturday 4th January, it was excellent, only due to no chef available to cook breakfast in the Premier Inn next door where we had pre booked our breakfasts for 3 mornings,the Harvester had very good portions of everything, the staff were very obliging and tentertive,will never pre book breakfast again with a Harvester next door.

We were very disappointed with both the level of service and the food. We noted that other customers, those who were seated after us, received their meals long before we got ours. We needed to prompt our server for our food. Our burgers, tho hot, were too dry to eat. Because of the delay in 1st delivery and our schedule, there was no opportunity to reorder.

Friendly service food came at the right time hot and fresh our waiter phill was so Polite and helpful credit to your company thank you will be back 👊

Good hot food, fast friendly service

I haven't been there for a few years, the chap at front of house was miserable the waitresses were happy. I had the 3 chicken combo the chicken breast was hard but everything else was good, I would go back as the menu was offering something for everyone, I'd maybe try another branch just out of interest ... overall without a voucher cost was 75 for a family of 4 without afters and refillable soft drinks

We met up for Christmas we had booked, when we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty, we were shown to our table which hadn't been cleaned properly, the young lady took our order for drinks and food at the same time even though some were still looking at the menu, we went to the salad bar which was nearly empty, when the food arrived it was on very hot plates not good for the young children and my order was wrong only to get the young lady telling me I was wrong until I asked to see my order on her pad, overall not good.

Went in for a "cooked breakfast" well, when the full English comes out in less than ten minutes, you know it's not freshly cooked and has been pre cooked and warmed up, also bring your own cutlery if I was you.

Phill was excellent. Took care of us during our visit.

I came in for some dinner and drinks in the bar. Macey at the front desk was accommodating and gave us the information we needed before showing me where we could sit for our meal. Tom on the bar was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience, I will be coming back in the future.

I was staying at the Premier Inn next to the Harvester. Went in there at 22:10 for a drink and was told they weren't serving alcohol as they were so quiet they would be closing soon. They are supposed to be a pub not only a restaurant, couldn't believe it.

We had our Christmas work do here last Friday and everything run smoothly and they catered for 27 people with no issue and also gave us our own area

Had to drop a star as we were shown to a table which had a vent above which was covered with dust and blowing cold air. We were moved to another table as at the first table it was so cold. Had to ask for cutlery when we returned from the salad cart. Food was great! Service was good.

Food was ok (chicken was nice, jacket potato was more like a overcooked cauliflower), but the server Phill was great. Very attentive and friendly; he was really making sure all guests were taken care of.

Took my son here for his birthday meal. He specifically chose Harvester as he's always liked it. I have to say, this trip was incredibly disappointing. The food quality has gone downhill quickly. For example, the triple chicken stack I always have was completely different this time. There was hardly any chicken, and the plate was barely full. The prices are insane for the amount of food you get and the quality of it. My daughter had the vegan burger which said it came with burger sauce and salad. However, she was missing both those things. My sons gammon was probably the only decent meal out of the 3. Not sure what's happened, but it's not somewhere I will be visiting again. Shame as we always enjoyed it. Thankfully, the waiters were extremely friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure we had everything we needed.

Altho' food was not cheap, it was plentiful & we enjoyed our meal. I travelled from Lincolnshire 2 meet with my 2 friends & we decided 2 give this establishment a try - it was well worth it! The best bit was the service; nothing was 2 much trouble 4 Harry. He had a wonderful sense of humour & didn't keep bothering us (we stayed 4 a long time as we had a lot of catching up 2 do); we were made 2 feel very welcome.
