Kind, friendly, attentive and discreet staff (Leah), swiftly delivered our orders which were delicious. We had the camembert sharing starter and the lamb shank Shepherds Pie - both cooked to mouth watering perfection.

Enjoyed meal. Karen served us and she was very friendly and efficient.

Went for dinner today at the bull this evening, got served by the lovely leah who was instantly friendly and welcoming. She carried on checking on us and wasn’t hesitant to ask if we want anything more. Made the expirence 10/10 :)

Lovely Pub/Restaurant, lovely atmosphere, depending of what you choose from the menu, I definitely would not recommend the Salmon Fish Cake, with cream cheese with running egg, and rocket, It was absolutely Awful, just consisted of a very small burnt up piece of fish cake, maybe half a teaspoon of dried up salmon with nothing else. In it ,I've had salmon florintine before which was lovely but was told this was off the menu?.

very limited menu, and the food was poor quality. Average pub grub at restaurant prices. No heating in the restaurant which made it uncomfortable . don't think I'd go again.

I went there with my family for my birthday. Food was really good and the atmosphere was lovely. Karen did an amazing job and looked after us really well. I recommend The Bull and will definitely go there again.

The outside, gives a sense of a warm welcome to all, I side, is as or close to, as it was years ago, with a warm country feel, staff greet you with a friendly smile, you don't usually have to wait around long to be seated, washroom facilities are clean and adequate, the atmosphere inside, is warm and relaxing, staff are helpful in seating you where you eould like to go, inserting area is attainable, busy no way, food is cooked to a high standard, and tast delish, as you say, from start to finish, staff will cater for your every need, and work heard to cover all their area in efficient time, so your not waiting too long, tips are optional, but worth giving for the heard work the waitress and waiters do.

The experience was disappointing. We waited over an hour for our food, which arrived cold. After sending it back, it was still served cold for all five of us. We raised the issue, and the manager handled the situation well, which we appreciated. However, the restaurant seems to have declined in quality since the new management took over.

This is the second year running we’ve eaten at the Bull on Christmas Day. It’s so much better getting someone else to do all the cooking so we can enjoy the day and gain precious time back with the children. Not to mention you pulled the stops out this year with gifts for the children and entertainment for them. Karen our waitress was very attentive to our needs and the dinner was yummy. Thank you for nailing it once again.

waited ages for our booked table on Boxing day. nearly three quarters of an hour. Waited ages again for our meal once we were seated almost an hour. There were 7 of us 3 had prawns which were hard. Burgers were burnt, unable to eat, roast was ok but not that nice, ordered dish not available, seeing as you have to send order of your choice from menu in a few weeks before they should know how many dishes they need, Thought we heard they had run out of turkey, we weren’t the only ones complaining , kids pizza was a frozen chicago soggy one. The best thing was the dessert of brownies. Very disappointing

Food was small portions for the price and cold once finally served. Multiple food options not available. Would be fine for harvester prices but not what they currently charge. Table not ready when booked and slow service to table is really not great with young children. Female toilets completly closed. Shame as going down hill each time we visit.

We had a fabulous Christmas Day meal at The Bull. From the minute we walked through the door to be greeted by Adam and then from all the waiting staff, the serivce was special. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. I honestly cannot believe the quality considering the amount that must be getting cooked in the kitchen that day. Honestly 10/10.

We went for Christmas lunch and it was a lovely experience. There was a warm welcome and a festive vibe. The staff were really great too. Leah was our waitress, really lovely and she was attentive without rushing us. The Christmas food was lovely and would definitely consider it again for next year.

It's a great pub; we were served by Leah who is our favourite waitress. We ordered a large Sunday Roast, it was very tasty. However my son is a very picky eater so she kindly provided an extra plate so that I could put the food that he likes on a separate plate, so that the bits he didn't want, we could add to our meal. She is always very friendly, empathetic and always tentative to customers. She deals with customers so that they feel at home. Adam, the manager works tirelessly, supporting the staff and getting involved in the hands on work in the bar and restaurant. Both Adam and Leah are known well by regular customers as they are so welcoming. They remember their needs and preferences. The pub and food served has substantially improved with Adam in charge. Please pass this on to Leah and Adam.

Had a nice meal. The Turkey roast was smaller than previous years, felt they were being a bit stingy. The service was very good, friendly, polite, fast but not too fast. We were served by a lovely lady Ally. The food was very tasty.

A combination of great food and quality service. Return here with friends and colleagues many times because of these two reasons. Most recently our large party was waited on by Karen who continued that great level of service we found there.

The Bull is a local for us. We go there now and then, usually after we take the kids for a walk over in Hockley Woods. One thing that is a constant is the great service. Every time we've been, Calum has been serving at the till/behind the bar. He's always kind, courteous and has such a nice manner. Tip top service as always. The food is great too!

Always fast friendly service. Food is great . Tried the rib of beef for the first time as you were out of pork and turkey. It was lovely

Our waitress Louise was really attentive, really friendly and fast service and Bex who sat us was very kind and catered to us quickly. The food was amazing loved the festive menu, the food came out really quickly and hot!! Definitely coming again!!!!!

Made a reservation really easily via website. Table for four and time available for when we wanted to eat. Food arrived well presented and freshly cooked. Great service from Tracey and we had a great dinner! Totally recommend.

Enjoyable lunch today at The Bull which was looking very festive and cozy. Our waitress, Karen, looked after us well and we spent a very pleasant couple of hours there.

We received excellent table service from Karen, but we felt the meal let us down. The Sea Bass was extremely dry as if it had sat under a heat lamp for too long. Our Beef and Ale pie was very generous in size and hot, but the rest of the meal was only warm. The first serving of Christmas pudding was inedible but was replaced, and was better.

Not much meat in the pie but still nice food waitress leah was excellent above and beyond 10 stars😊

Our server was Shannon and it was her first day and a big party of 7. She was brilliant!

Some of the advertised items were not on the menu, which was disappointing. What we had was nice.

Even when the pub restaurant is very busy on a Saturday night, with virtually every table taken, the serving staff and kitchen will not let you down. We were served by ever professional Ally, assisted by Shannon, who was under training. We were never rushed and could relax in the informal atmosphere. Its hard to go wrong with the Chef and Brewer menu too.

We went to The Bull last Wednesday evening. We had two roast turkey dinners from the Festive Menu followed by Christmas Pudding and Custard and the Chocolate Bell dessert. The roast dinners were tasty and piping hot and the vegetables were well cooked too. We had a side order of Pigs in Blankets and the only negative to this was that the sausages were too big with a small piece of bacon wrapped around them. Pigs in Blankets should either be cocktail sausages or thin sausages, but that is just my opinion. The meals were very good value for money ie two courses for £27.00 each. Well worth a visit. It is a good idea to book a table as The Bull does get very busy and it has vastly improved since the new manager has taken over. The staff were all very pleasant and our waitress Amy was polite and attentive. Will definitely visit again. Also the bar area is dog friendly. Would also say that the restaurant, bar area and ladies toilets were spotless.

Served today by Raz. She was really attentive and helpful. My dining companion needed some alterations to some of the menu choices (vegetarian) and she couldn’t have been more accommodating. Will definitely be back and hope to be served by Raz again 10/10 ⭐️

We had to go up to the bar to get acknowledged when we walked in. Atmosphere was good. We waited around 50 minutes for our main, and I ordered a steak. I asked the waitress for medium, but when I received it, it was rare! Blood was oozing out of the meat, bright pink. I was so hungry, I did eat half before I felt a bit uneasy looking at it. My partner had a chicken burger, but was quite dry. Overall, service was okay, but not so much their food.

I’d give this one a miss for a decent festive roast! Table booked for 8pm. Our main meal didn’t get served until just gone 9.30. Camembert starters were fine. The festive roast dinner at £27 + for 2 courses was awful…. The veg was poor quality, undercooked and insufficient… one plate had half an undercooked roast parsnip, another had no carrots. The cabbage was completely missing from all 3 roast dinners. The entirety of all 5 dinners ordered were not hot. Even the gravy (served separately) wasn't even lukewarm. To wait that long for such sub standard food is nothing short of insulting. The 3 roast dinners were sent back, the veggie wellington was left half eaten, the cod loin was finished but the undercooked veg left. Luckily, the lady who dealt with our complaint had the good grace to clear our bill, and was incredibly apologetic. The chefs, we were told, were trainees. The decor was warm & inviting, but I would not recommend eating here.

All the staff were helpful and Karen our waitress gave very good customer service.The only down side it was a cold day but there didn't appear that any heating had been put on which ment we were getting very could by the end of our meal, and our food went cold vey quickly which was a shame!

Chicken strips are very overdone and very little chicken. Childrens pizzas were awful The main course was very basic , and I would not recommend eating here .The service was great, but the food was dreadful. Give this place a miss unless they get a chef who cares

Had a very nice roast here, massive portions and sticky toffee pudding was lovely. Louise served us and was lovely.

We had a fantastic time, Leah looked after us, supee friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made a real fuss over our little pup - we were celebrating his 2nd birthday - and even brought him a little treat, which was such a nice touch. The food was spot-on. With Leah’s great service and the fantastic food, it all made for a really enjoyable Sunday afternoon. Can’t wait to go back!

Got served by some lass called Rosie she was absolutely great, I was having an absolutely awful day before she had served me and she really put a smile on my face. 10/10 service, would 100% come again just for Rosie alone she's a real asset to the place 👏

Used to be my favourite but gone down hill portion size and quality of food not so good. Staff still great and helpful Just don't go there for a Sunday roast.

Lovely staff. Beautiful pub. Food was amazing, high quality and made to a high standard. Portions were large as well! Myself, my partner and his parents. All had 3 courses and drinks and the it was less than £140! Cannot fault them. We will be back. P.s Alison is so lovely, made us laugh and looked after us while we were there.

Food was lovely, had to ask for sauces, got served the wrong drink, air conditioning was turned on as we finished our main meal and everyone was complaining how cold it was, we all put our jackets / coats on etc to eat dessert which came and was muddled up again, the food was good tho

Just had a fabulous roast, really good value and considering it was a Sunday evening and still very busy it was served hot and beautifully presented. I had a gluten free version which even came with Yorkshires. Will definitely visit again.

We booked a space for our NCT group to meet up. There was 8 of us with babies and pushchairs. Adam was able to accommodate us comfortably in an area we could enjoy catching up, without worrying about other diners. We have booked our next catch up already at the Bull Inn and looking forward to it.

We were a party of 10 (8 adults and 2 5-year-olds) celebrating a birthday at Sunday lunchtime. The pub was busy but we were brilliantly looked after by Ally. She was friendly, attentive and patient with a big table ordering and two small children wanting to be part of everything. Throughout our afternoon, Ally gave us excellent customer service and all the food came out in a timely manner and was hot with huge portions. In particular, the kids meals was gigantic! A fantastic experience and we’re sure to return to The Bull soon for another family get together.

We went to the Bull this evening, the food was delicious it was great atmosphere, service was excellent, our waitress Ally couldn’t do enough for us, very friendly and so helpful, definitely recommend a visit for a lovely meal and drink.

The pub is very nice now it has been renovated. I ordered the cheese and bacon burger which comes with fries and onion rings. (The meal comes with only a few fries) The bun/burger was burnt in places and gave you that ‘burnt’ taste. The meal was not great, I wouldn’t rush back to order that item again. Leah our waitress was super, attentive and made sure all was ok, drinks were served, etc. I would visit again, but the food needs a little more attention. Everything else was fine.

Lovely rustic pub, fantastic bar service by Callum, great food and atmosphere. We Have been visiting for years and never disappointed. The Beer garden is fantastic and dog friendly .

Came for a Sunday Roast dinner (20th Oct)with my family , the food was superb and service was timed just right in-between courses, staff were great and friendly , the charming young lady that served us was smiley and cheerfful didn't get her name (long blonde hair) gave her a tip at the end well deserved, would come again definitely.
