Costa in Rochford

Wrong order. Ordered bacon bap and received sausage bap. It says on the receipt bacon bap so there was no mistake on our part.

Six items ordered, only four items in the bag. Poor service.

Been going to costa for years , but a few times some of the staff are very rude. Seems like one of the staff member should not be working in customer service, he is extremely rude to customers. Interrupts you when you are trying to explain. Very short responses

One item was unavailable which happens, however there was no contact to offer anything else, they just sent the order without and I had to initiate a refund

Never recieves my order and when appealed never got a refund

I didn't get the fruit and oat biscuits.

We were missing the bagel in this order. Please can this be refunded. We spoke to the driver who advised there was nothing he could do.

Called into this small and crowded Costa on a very wet day. What made it stand out? The service! Charlotte and the others, sorry didn't hear their names, were all so helpful and cheerful on this horrible wet May Tuesday. Nothing was too much for them, Charlotte especially stood out as a great example of what make a rather normal snack experience better. Thanks

I must say visited Tuesday 26th March 24 @ 3pm. Best costa I have been in, nice friendly staff and good service never had this in a costa before.

Ordered at around 10:30 and coffee did not get delivered until 11:47 - not drivers fault. My order time also got pushed back and the coffees were lukewarm by the time they arrived.

Right never normally have an issue with just eat but I order a cappuccino muffin and 2 breakfast sausage baps and I only get the muffin and a coffee

Broken over sized cups, lids not on correctly spilt my coffee all over myself and burnt my chest. Toastie and bacon bap packaged terribly fallen apart and look manhandled. Dissatisfied and disappointed I get it’s hard in busy cafe setting but come on ???

This particular Costa ALWAYS has an issue... Whether it's the toilets are out of use, the dishwasher is broken (again & again), take away only, no air con/heating, no coffee lids to make particular drinks, ice machine out of use, oven out of use... The list is endless. I wouldn't mind so much at times if the service was decent. Unfortunately the staff in this branch aren't cut out for customer service. The manager of this branch clearly doesn't want to be at work and severally dislikes her job. Her staff seem to follow in her footsteps as they are very rude and sarcastic. Lots of things are usually forgotten on orders and then you feel you are putting them out of their way when mentioned. There's only one lady who I know is particularly pleasant in this branch and I'm very much a regular as I work in Rayleigh. It's such a shame as Wickford have an entirely different approach to customer service and the atmosphere in general is so much better. The staff here really let the place down and I think they need new management to renew their standards. I wish this was a better review but this review has been long overdue.

I ordered a sandwich! My number was on the order and I get a note saying they apologised and just delivered a packet of crisps… why didn’t they call! I could have ordered something else!!!

When you go here at lunch times, the service is really slow. Staff are really nice though. What she they had a fast pay counter. They would get a lot more customers. I had to leave a couple of time due to slow service. Have also noticed that when you buy the Pork Sausage Bap, you now only get 3 small sausages instead of four. If Costa coffee shops are gonna start robbing their customer you'll loose then to other coffee shops. Greggs does the same bap and its cheaper. Sorry Costa coffee, your gonna have to do better.

Cold can’t eat it. Wasn’t even in a bag to keep it warm. Driver said it was delivered about 5 min before it was actually delivered. Can’t eat cold pasta. Why did the driver do other deliveries and take 25 plus min

Missing items yet again. Not the first time it has happened - will be complaining to Costa directly and not use them again. Also, cannot get through to them via phone, tells you to go to website!

Ordered a latte with caramel & when it arrived it had no caramel disappointing as pay extra for it

This is about the fourth time that the cake/sweet item has been missed off the order. I can’t believe this is just a mistake if it happens this often only from this store!

First time ordering, ordered 2 coffees and a sandwich - I waited 30 mins for 2 coffees to show up and no sandwich. Then on the receipt telling me my item out of stock. Could have rang to Offer an alternative :/

Given how busy the staff are the service was good. I think it's unfair to criticise the staff. They generally seem very busy and probably aren't paid particularly well. Noise is inevitable given there are lots of people around and it's difficult to make coffee quietly. Trivial complaints seem unnecessary to me.

Sold out of the seasonal Maple hot chocolate, paper cups as the dishwasher is broken, again! If the croissant was baked this morning than Leyton Orient will win the Champions league! Soft and doughy, not flakey and crispy as it should have been. Disappointing 😞 Further to my visit here, went to the branch in Maldon High Street, dishwasher broken! Common theme here I think it's a staff issue rather than mechanical.

How is there STILL no dishwasher after over a month and I'm paying a premium to drink from cardboard cups. Not really what you'd expect

It's not hard, when someone has ordered 3 items, to make sure they are all in the bag. Fortunately it was mine and not my daughter's- but this is not the first time this has happened with this Costa.

Couldn't get a driver when first ordered

delivery was great, drink arrived intact and early. However drink its self is disappointing i requested whipped cream this is missing off the top! caramel sauce barely there and its so watery what a joke considering this 1 drink in total has cost £ 9.38.

Despite being told my little, old dog wasn't allowed, the staff were so polite & helpful. Clean, bright, busy place. Wish I could afford to go more often.

Millionaire shortbread missing from order

Ordered 2 NON-COFFEE chocolate ice drinks both had coffee in so was unable to drink. Complete waste of an order, will not be ordering for delivery from Costa again.

Delivery driver was lovely and on time. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time items from our order have been missing from Costa Rayleigh? I’m having to put in another request with JustEat for a refund for 2 items. This has happened to us the last 3 times we have ordered. Not sure if it’s a standard thing or whoever is doing the review of what’s packed is purposely leaving out an item or 2? Will likely go to Hadleigh costa going forward!!

I order my costa coffee with some Tomato patti snacks but they just delivered coffee and there no number to contact tham such a poor system and people

Every costa I go to the staff are under trained and don’t really care what the customer orders. Asked for my mocha not to hot, received a very hot cup. Meaning the so called barista’s are burning the milk! I know because I had my own coffee shop and went for bloody training. If costa can’t monitor the people that work for them maybe it’s best they shut shop and stick to the self serving machines as they are doing a better job then humans!

Very pleasant and peaceful. Excellent service, and the coffee was wonderful.

I would like to thank TIA for her service today. My little girl had poured my drink every where and my little girl was sitting on my lap. Tia rushed over to help me and clear everything up. Didn’t even moan was just so happy to help me out! When your a mum in that situation it is motifiring and Tia made the situation feel much better. She even replaced my drink I haven’t even had a sip off and my daughter biscuits. Just wanted to give her a review, as I felt horrendous but she made me feel so much better. So thank you Tia for your service xx

Great coffee and food. Very fast delivery and excellent delivery driver. Everything was excellent..

Such a shame that after the recent refit and freshening up of the store, they still haven't fixed the front door. It only opens half way before catching on the floor making it difficult for pushchairs, wheelchairs, and anyone with mobility difficulties to get in. Update: they've added an 'assistance' button outside but the door still doesn't open fully, so it's still difficult for pushchairs/wheelchairs. I'm currently on crutches and it is difficult to get in and out. They have replaced the smashed window though. Update: the door still doesn't fully open, and people still struggle to get in with walkers and pushchairs. The assistance button settings to confuse people - they expect it to open the door but it just sounds a buzzer behind the counter, but the staff members never manage to get there to open the door before people try to open it themselves.

Allways looks untidy & staff are not as sociable as other costa's

This place is dirty. All surfaces are grubby and the tables as well. The staff are rude beyond belief and you are made to feel like you are an inconvenience.

Tasted like pure chemicals, asked for whipped cream and didn’t get any. Rip off for the money!

I have always enjoyed Costa and yes sometimes you have to wait a little longer than usual but the staf are always super friendly and service is amazing.

Missing items. Third time this has happened. Such a shame as the food at costa is lovely but the Rayleigh high street branch seem to always miss one item off an order? We have had this 3 times in the last month when ordering lunch.

Cold drinks waited so long to be picked up that the driver too them out the bag and they fell through the soaked paper bag - what a mess. No drinks and stained new carpet !

Very disappointed with how long it took to turn up.

The estimated time kept extending constantly. Unfortunately for 4 coffees the wait was extended and took over an hour to eventually be delivered. Really disappointing for just coffees.

Very long wait and kept going up. App kept us up to date, but would not have ordered if we'd known. Great food though as ever.

Waste of money. The frappes we ordered were awful, and had no ice!... They were warm. It's very obvious that they were left on the side for a long while. Worst delivery yet. The KitKat specials also came without the KitKats, so that was also rather frustrating! - Better off making them at home.

Frappe was very runny no cream on top and hardly any caramel.I will never order again this has happened twice now. It’s supposed to be thick.very unhappy.

Came into today at the Rayleigh Costa staff were miserable bought a baby cuppa chino for my granddaughter they only gave 1 marshmallow normally at other Costas you at least get 2 also it was cold they weren’t very approachable so we left won’t be going to that one again

Disappointed with the customer service here. When we asked the barista what the new 'ultimate milk blend' was. We were answered with a gruff, "I don't know, I've never had it!" Additionally my flat white was bland and more like a weak latte in strength. I was hoping for a double shot drink, but didn't feel that I could comment further due to the manner of the previous member of staff.

Sausages not very hot. Roll very hard.drink very thin not nice and thick like a frappe should be.and no cream on top.

We just visited Costa in Rayleigh and what a mistake, the customer service from one member of staff was terrible.. I ordered our drinks asking for my husband tea to have the milk on the side, and yes you’ve guested it the member of staff just poured the milk in even though I was saying stop stop.. by that time the tea was all milk and no tea, he then just put the lid on and walked away. I was in shock as I had waited ages to be served paid for my drinks then to be served exactly what I didn’t want !!! Fortunately the young girl there offered to replace the tea… I feel if your not willing or feel you can be pleasant to paying customers then don’t do the job, as we certainly won’t visit this Costa again.

Was given a voucher for my bday and to be honest I wouldn’t have ventured into a Costa if I didn’t have the voucher. Coffee was good but the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, I had been in about 3 weeks before and seemed to be the same dirt & grime, I don’t mean to swear but I much prefer Greggs for both ££ vs quality, service and cleanliness.

This is maybe the fourth or fifth time where items have been missing. Sometimes you get a handwritten note scribbled across the receipt indicating that items are out of stock. Once, I walked to the shop and was told the driver has forgotten to take one of the bag. I was promptly told it was the driver’s mistake and nothing to do with Costa. Hence, the service is abysmal.

Was a bit disappointing given how much we spent to have to use public loos because both were in a terrible state. Didn't feel we could ask staff because they were so overwhelmed

Out of an order of 2 Sausage baps, and a panini plus hot choc, they forgot to pack 1 x Sausage Bap. This meant that I had no lunch as I gave the other to my poorly husband. Not as if it was a huge order! Bad show.

Visited here on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy so to our delight we were seen to straight away and able to find a table quite easily. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. I ordered a tea and was served a coffee. The woman behind the till gave the impression that it was my mistake and even asked if I had a receipt. I explained I didn't because not many people do and I used contact less. I was able to show on my bank app but she chose to just swap my drink. The tea pot was incredibly stained, especially from the stout. The milk 'jug'actually came in a small mug and this made it impossible to pour from without making a mess. My husband enjoyed his hot chocolate though so we might return and give the branch another chance.

The drinks are so good and if you wanted none of the stuff you do not want they will remove it and the quality is really god it one of my favourite places to get a drink

No caramel sauce in my frappe but happy overall.

I am a local worker within Rayleigh, decided to treat myself to a coffee before starting. I was met with a very stressed member of staff, made me feel really uncomfortable and rolled her eyes at my order. This may not be her fault as i think having only one member of staff on a Saturday morning isn't ideal. But this is not what I want to start my day.

I wish they would employ a few more staff here at this very busy Costas ! They have 2 coffee machines but seem to only have enough staff to use 1 and the staff ( bless them) are always up against it ,they all look so stressed all of the time..I wouldn't wanna work for minimum wage everyday under those conditions! I think they all do a great job under the circumstances especially the person actually making the coffees and I know buisnesses are under a lot of financial pressure at the moment but Costas have a big profit margin and if customer satisfaction is being compromised than management need to sort it out !

Too small, not enough room, need more tables. As with all Costa's, the prices have skyrocketed out of proportion with reality.

So easy, delivery cost is expensive.
