Brilliant as usual on the Thursday quiz night. Always made to fell welcome. Friendly staff and always very helpful. Trish is a star.

Went for a meal sunday 14 of us had a lovely time, all the staff super helpful Kai and Harry always happy to help, and the manager Ruby super accomodating even though shes on crutches. Great value and great servive best place for large bookings. Will be back soon

OK if you want quick and easy food and plenty of it. Reasonable price and lots of choice.

Always a pleasure to come to the pub when I see my family for lunch or dinner. Took my mum for early Mother's Day lunch. Booked table and was pram friendly for us to do. Staff polite and pub was quiet and empty. Food came fast and was delicious. A nice place for a family get together if you ever want a place for a family meal. No problems with ordering. Lovely staff :)

Oh dear..... Went early evening with the children not used a hungry horse in a few years, ordered children's meal deals along with adult meal. I appreciate they are basically micro wave meals but the adult one could have been hot rather than warm. Once the children had finished mains I went to get their ice creams and was asked for payment. Having ordered child meal deals dessert is included. So my order was not taken & put through correctly, not my error, but I felt I was in the wrong. Manager did apologise said I'm not the first & won't be the last that's happened to. BE AWARE you must order everything at once. Maybe the pub chain needs to make that clear on the menu card & get staff to check when taking orders. Won't be back in a hurry, plenty of nice pubs in the area.

Owen is the most attentive staff member I have seen at this chain, his unbelievable attitude and customer service is second to none I will be returning to this pub due to his unbelievable attention to detail

Had food here last september. Since then I've been harassed by the car park company to pay a fine. Would help if the staff would inform the customers about these unlawful parking fines before hand. As I paid in cash I do not have proof of my visit. Shocking

Kat was there to help me as I walked in and has taken food and drink orders. She is so helpful and a credit to the Travs as all the staff are very happy to help, will definitely be back every week.

Fantastic atmosphere!! Always top quality service with great food and value for money. Sports always playing live too.

Went there on Sunday 31st March had a roast dinner the vegetables were hard the beef was chewy and the Yorkshire well it was a lump of dough it was a job to swallow I didn't know a roast could go so wrong

We thought we would take a walk to our local as it was St Patrick’s day- we walked through the back entrance up the ramp because we had a pram but didn’t realise half the outside was shut off because it was “unfit for purpose” (their words) by that time it wasn’t worth turning back and going through the front. As soon as we walked in we were jumped on by the waitress for coming in the supposed wrong entrance with a pram- she made us feel as if we shouldn’t be there and then proceeded to say there were no tables. I asked her if we were ok to just have a drink in the family bar- she continued rudely to mention that it would be difficult for her because we had a pram. The pub was hardly busy at this point and I managed to put the pram in a tucked away corner completely out of the way- I asked her if this was ok (not expecting her to still continue with the same rhetoric) and she continued to go on and mention that if it got busy (which it weren’t at that point) the pram cannot be in the way, she was super passive aggressive. It’s NOT a family friendly pub- I’ve been on a few occasions now and been made to feel the same as we are just in the way. Being genuinely kind and polite really doesn’t cost much. That whole ordeal was so so unnecessary on her part! We managed to book a table online- about 45-1hr later which was fine but this was never offered to us which proves she was just being difficult for the sake of it. Every other part of the service was absolutely great. I really hope she reads this and realises she could have handled that so much differently with a completely different outcome.

Me and my work colleagues are frequent customers We always find ourselves getting the worst service from the manager and the other older lady I am not sure is it because we are people of colour or just because we are carers so she thinks we are beneath them to dine in that spaces One time we got burnt eggs and we went on to ask why our eggs are black and the manager said to us oh its the grill and that time it was in the morning And we went on to wonder if the grill is dirty like this in the morning what kind of dirt are eating. One time we went in the older lady was at the till she ignored us and kept doing what she was doing Until we chose to leave I believe everyone should be treated the same in such establishments because we are coming to spend money and not for some freebies We are highly disappointed and i think the harvesters will be our new spot as we always get exceptional service no matter how much we spend there

Another fun night at the Thursday quiz. Good atmosphere. Served by Trish, always so helpful and friendly. Had the new Mexican pasta with salmon, very nice, good sized portion of salmon and cooked just right.

Fast service, fab hot food, great value for money, the app works amazing even for changing things on a meal. Staff were very friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere. We've been here a few times and will always go back here! Keep doing what your doing guy's!!

Son in law booked breakfasts for all of us daughter hubby me and 2 gramddaughters for mothers day. must say haven't been here for about 30 years and my hubby and I are fussy on food but I really must say it was delicious and all 6 of us cleared our plates the food was not greasy nice and clean and placed up delicious staff excellent and although we don't live to near I can't wait to book a meal here compliments to owners and all staff great experience all round well done x x

Excellent service from beginning to end Service, bar staff and landlord Adam made our visit very relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit to this establishment. If it's food or even just sport definitely worth a visit

Had the bass, fish ok but skin looked nasty, tomatoe sauce was uncooked and the mashed potato could heve been used to fill the potholes. overall disgusting. Service was ok but they were understaffed.

Excellent quality bacon, eggs and hashbrowns but sausages need improving.

Breakfast was amazing! Always a good breakfast! Adam was very welcoming and Ruby was very chatty and made me feel wanted rather than a burden! The chef was mark and he catered for my awkward needs!

Popped in for breakfast today. Had the super Brekki which was excellent, freshly cooked and can recommend. Great service by friendly staff. Word of advice, be prepared to put on calories.

Had a great night at the travellers joy on their weekly quiz night (Thursday). Pub was busy but food and drinks (we had table service) was delivered quickly and with a smile. Ruby, Owen, Trish and the gang work their socks off but always deliver...

Really friendly atmosphere. The bar Natalie and waiter Kai were friendly and helpful. Great service. We will definitely all be going back and recommending it to our friends. Shame other pubs don’t always have staff as good as the Travellers Joy.

Went today for a Sunday roast which was lovely and hot. The service was excellent. Adam looked after us and made sure everything was okay. We will definitely be returning.

Stopped for Sunday Lunch for four of us. The service was excellent although the pub was full and the staff were very busy. When our food arrived it was lovely and hot and the turkey was very succulent and tasty. We also sampled a cocktail...

Went to the Thursday night quiz, had been the previous week and had a good time so returned. Really enjoyed my meal (mushroom and ale pie, although I'm not vegetarian but can recommend). Very filling and great value for money, 2 meals for under £13....

Had a very enjoyable evening, went initially for meal but joined in the quiz which was good fun. Food was hot (fish and chips), and very good value for money. Was served by Trish, have been served by her before, she was so friendly and helpful as always.

Had a lovely evening celebrating my husband’s 70 birthday there with family would recommend this to anyone lovely food great staff would like to thank Adam and staff for making his birthday a night to remember.

Went today with my bestie. Had my favourite, Rudders steak & Ale pie. Have to say, unexpectedly, the pie was scorching & i actually burnt my lip & tongue after having to spit mouthful out, embarrisingly, getting gravy pie filling all over my top and even my glasses which was on a chain round my neck. Ran to toilet to rinse top and glasses. Was so embarressed. Two other ladies in toilet. Such a shame as been a while since able to get out. 😔🙈

Staff are very slow. Lots of them there, but not doing an awful lot. Also lady behind the bar was very rude about moving a chair from another table that wasn't even being used!

We visited on New Years Day to have a catch up with friends. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and food is excellent value and they have a great selection. Portions are very generous too! Highly recommend!

Hired an area for my dad's 70th birthday meal with around 35 people in attendance. Food and service was excellent great value for money, friendly staff. Food on time with everyone eating a main meal together, nice little area for us all to mingle and chat.

Wine glass dirty. Ask for a clean glass which was clean but the server poured my wine from dirty glass into the clean glass,also cutlery was grubby.Server said very busy????

A pub and restaurant that is perfectly comfortable and brilliant. The value for money is excellent as also the people that work hard behind the pub and kitchen. Good sport venue also for any sport. Plenty of large tvs 👍🏻

Went to a group Xmas meal here today. It was very nice food and great service.

Live locally and take my sons to watch football a lot and for food. Like the pub, but the Manager (I assume he is) seems to be really rude every time we’re there. Seems to talk to people awfully. Can’t fault the waiting staff. Just the manager guy!

Quiet today on an early Tuesday in December. Plenty of room to spread out. Good food and service. Note for those parking a car, don't pay outside, register your car at the bar

Lovely family meal with the family on Sunday. Super service and super food

Visited Tuesday lunchtime. Was really impressed with every aspect of our visit. We sat in the adult only area, which felt so cosy on a cold day. Great atmosphere. We were welcomed by a lovely lady Trish, who explained the menu, took our order and checked everything was satisfactory. She even took cash payment, over to the tills. Nothing was too much trouble. The food (we both had sizzler meals) was fresh, hot and very tasty. Great portions, and lots of choice...and the hot chocolate was to die for. We felt it was one of the best meals we'd had in a long time. A big thumbs up. Even the lad behind the bar called out goodbye as we left. All in all 10/10 in every way.

Celebrating a birthday on this occasion so we reserved a table. Great service, all 6 meals arrived hot and at the same time, ample portions and good value, especially the super specials at £10 on Saturday. I had the Jerk Chicken & Wings Half roasted chicken seasoned with authentic Dattie's Soul Food TM jerk rub, plus crispy chicken wings tossed in jerk sauce. Served with savoury rice, coleslaw, spicy herb garnish and Caribbean sauce. The chicken was probably the moistest I've ever eaten😋, highly recommend.

Went for Sunday lunch and it wasn't overly busy so the food didn't take too long. It was fresh and hot. Where it wasn't too busy at the time didn't feel crowded and was relaxed. Some of the fixtures could do with freshening up like the broken vent on the wall just to tidy it up a little.

Went on Wednesday night for our grandsons birthday, 5 adults, a 13 year old and 2 year old. All our meals came out together and all cooked perfectly and hot. The staff are very friendly and made sure we were looked after. Will certainly return.

6 family members and myself booked for Sunday lunch. Brilliant service, staff very attentive and discreet. Three courses and drinks done, no rush to leave for new guests and a pleasant bill at the end making it a very enjoyable day trip without having to worry about food later.

Always use this pub for lunch 2 to 3 visits a week and on family and friends birthday visits, but popped in today went to sit in a booth and got asked by a staff member to save the booths for families and to sit elsewhere moving us to a table that seated 4 pointless in my mind as we still took up 4 seats plus there was already an elderly couple in a booth that wasn't asked to move and another 2 people sitting at a table for 4 may i add the pub was practically empty and no booths was reserved so we promptly left without eating and got a fish and chicken dinner and ate it in the comfort of our home won't be going back there again, your loss .

We were the first to arrive at noon, the fish and chips were obviously from the day before, warmed up and dry, very unappetising . Very disappointing as we have had good meals before.

Went in for dinner with family. Friendly and attentive staff, it was busy but nothing too much trouble. Large restaurant, spotless and well set out. The food was tasty with generous portions and exellent value for money. Parking is free for a certain amount of time if you enter your number plate on the screen at the bar. Well cooked pub grub with a good variety for even the fussiest eaters. Perfect place to dine with family and friends

Meet up with friends for a quick lunch and chat that ended up stopping till late , as food was good and service excellent . Staff happy and friendly behind the bar and no issue with some of us picky eaters asking for changes to our meal choice. Good selection of food and pudding for the value . Plenty of parking and seating outside , little to cold for us on the day Free parking when eating you just need to add vehicle details on system in side , staff will help All round good service and enjoyable lunch

First time here. The Travellers Joy was a favourite of my old friend who'd recently passed away suddenly, so we booked a table for 14 of us to have a little gathering at his favourite place. In the end 20 of us turned up and they squeezed us in. The bar was a little slow, but with the numbers, and the whole place full, allowances were made. Everything else was spot on. The food was excellent, and all arrived together, still hot! Its one of those menu's that look enourmous and you expect half of it to be unavailable but no, they had everything we chose. I had a 12oz rump steak, cooked and seasoned perfectly. A much better standard than I was expecting. The price was incredible, (it was Feebie Thursday which helped) and the waitress Trish was a joy, nothing was too much trouble. 20 old blokes getting louder with every pint and she charmed us all. I'll definitely be back.
