We have been past the roundabout on many occasions, and I thought the business park were farm buildings. I had no idea about the utilised buildings here and what a pleasant surprise it was. We had to wait a while as it was busy and a fairly small cafe. It was well worth the wait. We ordered soup which was parsnip and pear. It tasted good. However, we had a choice of accompaniments. We chose toasties. I cannot believe how delicious my ham and cheese toastie was. My husband’s toastie was cheese, tomato and onion. He thought his was delicious too. Coffee was enjoyed by him and I enjoyed my cup of tea. The waitress seemed quite stressed and apologised for a comment she made. I could understand this as it was really busy when we were being served. I noticed there was no loo roll in the toilet but this was soon rectified and replacement arrived quickly. I noticed some beautiful looking cakes but didn’t have room to sample them. We will have to visit again soon. Tip - It might be worth looking around the other shops if there is a queue as you get an electronic device that beeps when a table is free for you.

Amazing pancakes in terms of taste, volume of food and freshness! So many blueberries! Excellent value and to get a giant mug of hot tea for £1.70, and in a clean mug, is going to be a win in anyone’s book! Very happy i popped in during my stay at the travelodge. Thanks!

We had a lovely Mother's Day lunch here yesterday - the pub is beautiful, as is the surrounding area. There was a set menu for Mother's Day with plenty to choose from and 3 courses for £33.00 which we thought was good value for money. The pub was extremely busy and we were waiting a while between our starters and our main, but we didn't mind that. All in all we had a lovely afternoon out but there are a couple of niggles ... 4 of us opted for the prawn cocktail starter - the avocado was missing from all 4 of the prawn cocktails and when we told our waitress, she just said sorry. I am unsure whether they had run out or simply forgotten to put it in there but it would have been nice if she could have looked into it for us. For the main, 3 of us went for the Derbyshire beef and 2 had the chicken. Unfortunately, even though it was cooked perfectly, the beef was a little on the tough side, as was the chicken. The rest of the meal was lovely and we were going to complain but just put it down to the fact it was extremely busy and sometimes, you do get that tough joint of beef. We would definitely return. Our main waitress was lovely and very helpful. Thank you for a great afternoon out.

Bloody brilliant. Food and ambience superb. Service with a smile. Superb plaice and monkfish Thai curry. The desserts are all made by the chef. We had a pavlova but look forward to coming back for the chocolate torte. Very underrated restaurant of the highest echelon.

Very disappointed, I've eaten at both Nick's restaurants before and had a lovely experience, on arrival the table wasn't ready so didn't get seated until 9pm. Service was very slow, and had to keep trying to catch a servers eye, even then they didn't come back with what we asked for. I had muscle's for my starter and chicken for my main, chicken was very dry. The music was too loud and we asked for it to be turned down, the table stand was dirty. To top it all the next day I was ill, and had to attend the doctor's who felt I had food poisoning from the muscles. It didn't feel like a personal experience as it did with his other restaurants.

Half term treat. Grandson enjoyed his fish and chips. The food was excellent as always, mustn’t leave it so long for a return visit. Staff were very attentive, especially as I’d booked us into a different Hercules inn!!! Oliver was very helpful and found us a table upstairs, which was lovely. Thank you.l

A full English breakfast was what was called for on one of the worst days and that is what we ordered. It was delicious, filling tasty and one of the best breakfasts I have had away from home. The service was excellent . We had been recommended this place for quality and for value and it lived up to expectations

Would love to leave a review of the food but unfortunately service was that slow that we ended up leaving without eating. As the bar was very quiet when we arrived (only about 4-5 other tables there) I thought we would get our food quickly. However after being there 30+ minutes there was still no sign of our food and another table that had arrived before us was also complaining that they still didn’t have their food. We ended up leaving and would be very reluctant to go back.

The Old Kent Market is a charming little spot right next to Margate beach. It looks great from the outside, with a few benches out front to sit and enjoy the view. Inside, it’s spread over two floors, though I was expecting it to be a bit bigger. There are a few places to grab a bite — like a bakery, some takeaway stalls, and a quirky bus café. There’s a communal seating area in the middle, but it can feel a bit cramped during busy times. Lots of interesting little shops selling unique items like handmade jewellery and vintage-style clothing. Overall, a nice visit, but a bit disappointing as I was hoping for a bit more variety and space.
