Amazing pancakes in terms of taste, volume of food and freshness! So many blueberries! Excellent value and to get a giant mug of hot tea for £1.70, and in a clean mug, is going to be a win in anyone’s book! Very happy i popped in during my stay at the travelodge. Thanks!

Been here a few times now. Generous portion sizes and good value for money. Wide breakfast based menu and well priced. It is not expensive, nor is it exceptionally cheap but I would say it is good value for menu. Coffee is good too.

We had a lovely brunch here today, for my birthday, with the kids and my grandson. Lovely food and excellent service as always, and today my grandson discovered the amazing table top model scene (Christmas edition). There good choices of food. Staff friendly. Its right next to Travel lodge. There carpark. Food nice if stay in hotel again will go there for breakfast.

We regularly visit Billy's for breakfast and are never disappointed. We have been a couple of times over the last few weeks as a fairly large group. As usual, the quality of the food and service was superb. The staff were friendly and welcoming, food was delicious and served very quickly. Thank you once again guys, you are the best!

Always stop here on our way to visit family. Amazing food and top quality Ingredients. Wonderful friendly staff. The avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and streaky bacon is delicious, especially with a side of black pudding and my husband loves a Billy's Big Brakfast. We were staying in the Travel Lodge next door so decided on a breakfast before attending our second funeral of the week. Both of us had 3 Scrambled eggs on toast with bacon (requested well done) . Really lovely food and cooked perfectly. The tea was in a large mug and went down a treat. The young man who served us (Matthew) was really polite, friendly, had a smile for everyone and is certainly a credit to the company. The food and warm welcome set us up for a difficult day ahead. The only one criticism which will be put on the Travel lodges review too is the giant pothole at the entrance (I would assume it is a joint responsibility as it is not on the highway) . Even the Emergency workers who left in their vans could not avoid it .

This place is very good. Finding somewhere decent to eat breakfast in the uk can be a bit of a challenge, given the low bar of what places seem able to get away with. More places should produce food, drinks and give service at the levels Billy’s do.

I normally eat at and tell Tripadvisor about smart places in London and elsewhere. I hesitated to review this because it's a hidden gem, but this traditional honest caff is a great find. Clientele are varied from regular tradespeople to locals and passing travellers. I go there once a week or so as an indulgent treat for a full English brunch. Last time I had a delicious Tuna melt. Despite being busy as usual, Cappuccino, water and toastie were on the table in well under five minutes. Very friendly and very efficient service. Highly recommended.

These premises were very busy yet the staff were friendly. They promptly showed us to a table and took our orders. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. It was delicious, portions were of good size and reasonably priced

Been passed many times, always intrigued. Actuallly visited last week, fabulous lunch, so much choice, service very good. Crowded but better than a cold empty pub for lunch. Thoroughly recommend

Amazing food cooked by the chef Amy, hot, tasty and fast. The Billy’s team who served us were friendly and efficient and made our experience a thoroughly enjoyable one.

The frustrating bit first ... I have visited twice in recent days to discover staff in and lights on but they have locked the doors by 3:10pm, at least 50 minutes earlier than the advertised 4pm close time. That's annoying when you've passed by other fooderies to enjoy the good food at great prices.

Special review. Something has changed at Billy's. I have been going there for years and it is always good but just OK good. Went yesterday and menu was more comprehensive. Coffee prompt and great. Had a fied breakfast ADB. Now usually at cafes a sausage is a sausage and an egg is an egg, but today the sausage was so tasty we stopped gossipping just to enjoy that. Then the eggs were really rich red yolks and perfectly cooked. To top it all the service was really great. I know it's not politically correct but the young blonde waitress was so beautiful that I was quite distracted. There was an excess of toast so I asked for some marmalade. She came back with a bowl of the real stuff - no screw-top microportion jar here. Well done Billy's Team. See you again very soon.

Fantastic traditional British food in a cosy café. This former Little Chef restaurant will take you back to those fond memories of the brand with delicious breakfasts and friendly staff. The seating area also has a train set inside a table! Billy's on the Road is a true example of how an independent café should be run in 2024.

Visiting several times a month for short business meetings and catch ups with colleagues. Food good BUT.. When paying by cash, please check you are getting the correct change back. We have been short changed here a few times.

My teenage boys work here and have always passed it and vowed to try it and so we did with the family! Been there twice now in Dec and New Year’s Day and the food is soo good , honest British food and the people are very friendly, the service very good and the price reasonable

We used Billy's for breakfast as we stayed at the Travel lodge. The breakfast was outstanding. I can highly recommend the advocado on soughdough! and spicey advocado on fried potatoes. Went for breakfast four days in a row while staying nearby. Had the same small english breakfast each day and was never disappointed. Great tasty breakfast. Service quick and efficient. Staff friendly and welcoming. We arrived at the Travelodge next door at noght and Billy's looked just like a little hut off the busy road but in the morning light we realised that it is an oasis of good food with a happy atmosphere.

I can’t think why I’ve left it so long to write a review for this restaurant. That said, here it is: As a motorcyclist we are often expected to accept food (and coffee) of such an appallingly low standard it detracts enormously from a ride out. That’s definitely NOT the case at Billy’s. First rate food, delicious coffee, wonderful service and easy, safe parking. I’m a regular and that’s unlikely to stop. In my opinion it is, without doubt, the best rides café in the south east. Brilliant. Well done.

Billy’s is a fantastic place for great food in a casual and interesting setting - quite an achievement for a former LittleChef. Some of the staff are psychic as well as prompt and bring food exactly as needed. There’s loads of parking (and I think a Premier Inn or Travelodge) and if you like looking at motorbikes, there’s also opportunity for that.

We’ve been here many times for lunch over the last year. It’s become a Dad & Daughter favourite. No matter what we choose from the menu, the food is always of a high standard and plentiful. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are always obliging. Fab chef too.

This is a great place to eat. All the staff are friendly, especially Fran who always makes you feel welcome and she really cares. Keep doing what you're doing Fran Billy's wouldn't be the same without you.

If I could give less than 1 I would. Never have I ordered a toasted sandwich to be presented with cheese on toast and told ‘that’s how we do it’. Bread was soggy on one side and burnt on the other. We shared some chips which were oily and otherwise bland. Honestly have had better from a roadside van. My mums sausage sandwich was also greasy and not much to write home about. Far too expensive for what it is!
