Just as delicious and top quality as ever. The vegan katsu sweet potato burger was delightful. Fast, friendly service.

This place was a really nice find on a March Friday evening for a middle-aged but youthful couple visiting Lowestoft. Our B&B recommended the place next door (pink neon lights, fishbowl look), not for us! But right next door is a 'proper' nice pub. Comfortable, clean, and most of all, very welcoming. As soon as we were halfway to the bar, we got a cheery "hello" and "what can I get for you, are you going to be eating" I'm a bit grumpy when people are overly (falsely) friendly. But the young man and young woman who served us got it just right. Left us alone when wanted, and were quick to respond when we asked. The food is simple, (we had "chicken in a bucket') but the portions are good (but not wasteful) and really tasty and fresh. We've never been to Lowestoft before and probably never will again as we were here for a very specific reason, but our visit to this lovely pub turned a 'functional visit to the town into a pleasurable meal/night out. A lovely warm welcome when we arrived. We hadn’t booked and that wasn’t a problem at all. Very dog friendly, warm and cozy. The food that we chose was fabulous. My wife had home made carrot and coriander soup with bread which she thoroughly enjoyed. The reason for a 4 star and not 5 was because there was no sandwich or lunch type food as an option, just your traditional menu. In fairness this is what you can see on the website if you look in advance. I had steak, mushroom and blue Stilton pie with dauphinoise potatoes which was excellent. They have a wonderful range of beers and wines and what was impressive as we didn’t want alcohol was their equally as impressive range of none alcoholic drinks.

Booked for 8 people the day before for Sunday roast and was not disappointed. The staff (especially Claire) were so friendly and helpful. The sharing board roast was delicious and the meats were so tasty. The cocktails were scrummy and all in all just an amazing atmosphere 100% reccomend!

The hospitality we experienced was truly exceptional. The food and drink service stood out as unparalleled in quality. Our entire family, including our dog, felt warmly welcomed. Every dish was freshly prepared using local produce, which added an authentic touch to our delicious dining experience!

Everyone should go here just for the milkshakes. We even had an extra milkshake instead of dessert because they are soooo good. Rayna May was a friendly, efficient, knowledgeable waitress. The place was really clean and comfortable. The food was very reasonably priced. My salad was amazing, my friend really enjoyed her burger and did I mention the milkshakes 🤣🤣🤣

Excellent bacon & sausage baps, very good coffee. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good value for money. Will visit again soon.

We have always loved coming to the Weighbridge and having not been since the new owners took over which turns out to be 12+ months ago we visited the first Saturday in February with friends. We all picked the two in one pie in various guises. Mine was a steak n mushroom but I chose to have the root veg for a change and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As we were playing catch up with some friends we were probably the last to leave. There was no pressure put upon us which had certainly happened to us with the previous owners. In fact we chatted with the new landlady and she was very friendly and pleasant. Will definitely return.

Soup good. Soup was very good. Enjoyed the soup. Nice soup. When I was eating the soup I was thinking mmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is good soup.

Was very disappointed . We held our Company Christmas party here last year & it was very good so decided to book again this year . Our table was right by double doors leading to dancefloor and bar , last year the doors were shut whilst eating but this year open . We were freezing cold & 2 of us put our coats on in the end . The DJ played music so loud all the way through the meal so we couldn't hear anyone talking that wasn't sat right next to us !! The broccoli was practically raw .. We won't be booking it next year !!

Lana our waitress was amazing. Excellent service and food was very good. Excellent value for money. Lovely family, country pub vib. Would visit more if there was a small children’s play area or something to accommodate children in the garden area.

Took the grandchildren to the Merrivale model village which was excellent. We ordered a large bowl of chips each at £5.40 I'd hate to see a normal size portion. When we asked for some vinegar we were told they had been busy and had run out. We then had to eat a dry bowl of chips, fortunately not to many! They had also run out of toilet paper which we did tell the staff about, to prevent customer distress.

My Mum and I had a delightful afternoon enjoying the delicious indulgent treats for tea in the elegant Grill room, with live pianist. This is by far the best afternoon tea either of us have had, (and we’ve enjoyed a wide variety including the Ritz and the Savoy). I would definitely recommend, the service was impeccable having been served by Emerson, who provided an extremely positive experience that exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return!

¡No es el mejor pescado con papas fritas que he comido! Siéntate o para llevar, lo cual es bueno, pero si me senté probablemente no habría pagado el precio completo tristemente. ¡Las papas fritas estaban secas y no sabían si usaban papas reales! Personal muy acogedor! No grasoso, así que eso es positivo. El pescado sabía fresco, pero no le gustaba la masa, necesitaba vinagre!
