As a regular visitor to Slattery’s I can only say Mark made sure our visit was special and nothing was too much trouble. On this occasion we both had the chocolate afternoon tea, which had more than enough sandwiches, scones and cakes to satisfy us. We took what we couldn’t finish home with us. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Will be back soon.

Came here for a Saturday afternoon drink. Beautiful historical building which was surprisingly big. Absolutely loads of seating both inside and outside yet didn't feel too crowded. Service at the bar was friendly and quick. Lovely atmosphere. Dog and child friendly.

A Trof breakfast used to be very tasty and special, now it’s no better than a hotel buffet. Bland provenance-free ingredients, cheap bread, supermarket hash browns, coupled with expensive, poor value extras! I paid £1 for a single small mushroom, don’t be fooled by the photos on social media.

My review is for the shop and only the shop. When I went into the shop to by some cakes, was not able to pay for said cakes because I had a £50 pound note. As far as I no that is still English money.

We were lucky to visit on a Sunday when Bunny was there performing. It’s likely you’ve never heard the song “Creep” by Radiohead done in a swing/jazz style unless you’ve been here. Mr Foggs has a fantastic drink menu and incredible atmosphere inside. They have a big machine on the wall that mixes some kind of drink from several bottles connected to it, which is fascinating to watch. This place is a lot of fun.

We stumbled across Merchants 1688 on our way into town from the station. Initially taken in by the board outside offering local real ales and food, we noticed that the restaurant appeared to be in akind of arched cave. Upon entering the theme continued inside with brick vaulted rooms and a large bar with numerous hand pulled ales. We had a light lunch and a few light refreshments, the pepper hummus sandwich was incredible. I would say though that for someone with a dairy free diet, the choice was somewhat limited. The staff were friendly and attentive which always helps. Anyway what we had tasted and smelled devine, the restaurant was a sight to behold and over the speakers there were some of the 80s finest songs, we entered to some Foreigner - Jukebox Hero. A brilliant experience, just a shame we had an appointment elsewhere.

Not eaten here before, we had been out for the day and needed feeding this came up on Google search. We hadn’t booked but they did find us a table for 2. We both had roasts hubby had beef, I had a children’s vegetarian mushroom wellington. All food very nice, as were the staff we encountered. Good value for money. A very busy day for the staff as the weather was gorgeous. If in the area again I am sure we would pop in

Food was alright, deserts were pretty good the burger I found taste less and the breakfast wrap was actually pretty good. Update The menu keeps changing which is great for a regular, I'd say the food while isn't anything to write home about is quite nice. The range of drinks is great , they have s decent amount of vegan options, I even considered having a drink. Impressive

The employees were rude to us, I brought a snack to eat because I had already seen several people eating things that were not bought here and today the employee was super rude to us

Delicious food and excellent atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Perfect for a walk through the forest, plenty of outside space to enjoy and dog friendly to boot. Absolutely wonderful service from Chloe, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Thank you for accommodating our large group. Highly recommended.

Chose this restarant for my birthday dinner. The food was superb and we had excellent service, it was so good we went back a second night and from talking to others dining we were not the only ones to repeat a visit. I had the cheese souffle, special of fillet steak tails and the cheesecake, all of which were delicious.

We have passed the fox and rabbit inn for several years and always thought it looked appealing from the outside, with the fantastic weather at the weekend we decided to stop and enjoy a drink and some food in the pleasant outdoor seating area. We received a warm friendly welcome Along with fantastic food and service. Well priced home-cooked food would highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, friendly,informative staff. Our food choices were pre ordered 2 days before, as we sat down with drinks, we were asked ,are we ready for food, we didn't have to spend ages deciding what to have . It was underway and everything available
