Rose & Crown in Nottingham

The Really good pub, meals are well worth it.... Drinks can be pricey though.... Came here on Saturday 6th April 2024 - for some 70th birthday drinks for my friends birthday.... This is a really good "Student Pub", I think they do a discount on food... But, the food is really good in here..... There is also a massive TV screen for watching "sports" at the bar. It's always been a popular pub....👍👍. Staff are very efficient, and kind here....

Always come here when visiting our daughter who is in uni. Yesterday had the best roast dinner I've had in a long time. The beef was like a piece of steak, the roasts were spot on and the gravy nice and thick. Will be back and will make sure it's a Sunday so I can have the roast again.

I was on a business meeting and we came across this fantastic young man named Prince at rose and crown Lenton that brought our food, He was full of positivity about his life and his job I wish I was like him when I was his age, his attitude about everything is admirable.

Rose and Crown, underrated. The foods at such a high standard. I have ti give a shout out to the chef Prince. Worked his magic in the kitchen. Really appreciate the takeaway you sorted out today.

Last time we were here was around four years ago. Today the service we received was exceptional staff member named Prince went over and beyond delivering a second to non customer service, he ensured that we had everything we needed, excellent communication skills and very pleasant on approach. Food was great service overall was exceptional, I highly recommend this place.

Very enjoyable afternoon and night , live band , delicious top notch food at very reasonable prices . The staff that work here behind the bar, out on the floor serving and not forgetting the chefs are what makes this place such a great place to go . Nothing is too much trouble 👏

Excellent front of house staff. Nothing was too much trouble, table service for drinks order on what was a very busy night. Didn't have to wait too long for food, tasty chocolate fudge cake.

The people are great and the place is nice, but the food is not that good even by pub food standards. I've only been there once so it could be bad luck.

Our server Shell was amazing. She was welcoming and friendly. She made our daughter laugh. She loved Shell. As for the food, it was amazing. Thank you Prince. Highly recommend Rose and Crown.

5* across the board. Chef Prince cooked up a perfectly seasoned sizzling Hunter's skillet with a swap out dressed salad swapped out fries, well dressed and good portion. Crunchy and fresh leaves, and finely chopped red onion, but not too much. Excellent service, on time, and with added comfort checks by the friendly staff (thank you Shel - a fantastic addition to the team). Rose and Crown has sustained its reputation over the long term and Prince's addition to the kitchen adds exceptional culinary talent to the team. Thanks all at the R&C for a pleasant experience every time.

Food was surprisingly good and had some uncommon choices in the menu for a pub such as the flame grolled steak flatbread which was good along with other classical dishes such as the fish and chips and the chicken wings. Staff very friendly and helpful and atmosphere is nice. quiz night every Friday at 9.

A very vibrant pub located very close to QMC. The food served is decent pub grub. There are lots of sizeable screens showing sport. Eclectic mix of music playing, too. Very professional and friendly staff. Free parking for customers. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere on a Sunday lunchtime. Spacious dining area and good menu offering Sunday Roasts. Served by Michelle who was friendly and looked after us well with good recommendations. Portion size of the roast was large and filling! Great location with car park (free when registering inside as customer of the pub)

R&C is my favourite pub in Lenton the atmosphere is great and the prices are so reasonable. The best part is the lovely staff, especially Louise who is always extra friendly and goes the extra mile to accommodate you

We had to take our friend to the City Hospital and had some time to kill until he was ready for pick up. We drove around and I spotted the Rose & Crown, we were so pleased we found this establishment from the minute we walked in we were made welcome --had a coffee and bacon sandwich which was delicious ( lovely bread by the way). The two ladies that looked after us were Kelly & Louise-- they both went that extra mile from the moment we walked in-- even bringing water and nibbles for our Dog. I can without fear recommend the Rose and Crown for a enjoyable and relaxing drink/meal-- with very attentive staff.

Catching up with a friend and wanted fish & chips badly. Chose the rose and crown as it kept our evening simple. From start to finish staff were professional. The person who stood out was Bernadette. Each time I visit this place I'm always greeted with a smile by all the staff but one member of staff makes me feel that bit extra special.her name is Louise she seems to be extremely experienced at her job.its such a pleasure to visit this place and see her smiling face.to people out there please visit and I'm sure you'll agree.

This pub has the most considerate and caring staff I’ve ever experienced. I may have had one too many to drink so I ended up in the bathroom, and the staff were so kind, checking up on me and making sure I was alright. I would 100% recommend coming to the Rose and Crown!!

I had a lovely meal there, but I had a negative attitude from a staff member. I complained about it and the manager addressed the issue straight away. She was genuinely concerned and apologetic. I will definitely go back there. As a disabled person, I do not get to go out often, but I feel like I am welcome to go there anytime.

Staff really upbeat, helpful and attentive. We were made to feel very welcome. Food and service spot on even though it was getting really busy. We went on a mid-week tea time and this place is clearly popular.

I have eaten at The Rose and Crown on a few occasions. It’s great value for money and delicious. Yesterday breakfast was three Mexican style tacos with lots of tea! I’ve also hired the top room for a corporate ‘Pub Quiz’ - great set up and nothing was too much trouble. Great atmosphere and lovely staff 🥰

Came on a Sunday to do the pub quiz and the food cooked by the chefs, Prince and Dean was fantastic. Table service from Kelly was second to none.

The staff (especially manager Kirsty and bartender Connor) couldn’t have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t hire a DJ but brought a speaker and decorated the room ourselves. Drinks and decent food at very affordable prices. What’s not to like? Would definitely recommend for any occasion. Thanks for making a special night so perfect.

I waiting over an hour for a Hunters Chicken. The portion was tiny and and very unfulfilling.The wait staff seemed unbothered. Management clearly underestimate how much kitchen staff they need. All seems incompetent to me.

Rose and Crown is truly a diamond in the rough when in comes to Nottingham pubs. I've never failed to have a good time when paying a visit to this pace, affordable drinks and friendly staff make for a lovely experience. I'll be sure to be going back.
