We arrived towards end of service but staff very helpful and accommodating. Kev was a great waiter. Food was overall an 8/10 pies were tasty and full of flavour, chips were freshly cooked, crispy. And mint mushy peas were tasty too. Gravy was a little let down as u get a beef type gravy with chicken and mushroom pie? But I had the red wine steak pie so I was ok Could be a lovely place when busy. My only whinge would be the amount of delivery guys coming in past our tables, some not removing their helmets and looked like they were gonna rob the place.

Really quiet dinner here on a Monday evening. My partner and I both got different vegan options with peas, mash, a veg ball and gravy. Both were ok, nothing to write home about. The mash and peas were absolutely bland and the pies didn't have much flavour either. The veg ball was the most flavourful part but so small. Overall not bad but unfortunately feels like I could have got something tastier at the supermarket. I expected more flavour.

5 stars all round for food, drinks and ambience - very patient and accommodating especially for their bottomless brunch. Best brunch in Bristol.

The staff were lovely and very attentive to our dietary needs. Mention of honour to the chef, a true monkey-man capable of being everywhere at all times.

The restaurant was quite empty when we came but we had a great experience. Staff were the perfect combination of attentive but giving you space. Food was delicious and caters for those who are vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free. So many different combinations can be ordered and it all tastes so good. Will definitely be visiting a Pieminster again;

Worst food I ever had in the UK. We had three starters which were a shame... I can't believe we paid £13 for such horrible food. Even for free I wouldn't eat it. Most of it ended in the bin sadly. Can't offer this to anyone. The waiter was rude to my friend when we ordered. It was the first sign to get out of there and we should've followed it.

Quick service no waiting around at the Stokes Croft venue. Food ok. Service charge is auto added to the bill. No parking at venue.

Sunday lunch for a friends birthday fabulous service and choice for someone lactose intolerant. I would've preferred option for plain fresh veg, but that is my only negative abd that they were so empty!!!! Good price for great food. Thank u 4 a great lunch.

My drink had vinegar in it? On the menu, 0 drinks have vinegar in it. The drink remained on the bill even though it was returned. Pie was amazing. But putting vinegar in a drink ruined 2024 for me

My daughter treated me to lunch here on our visit to Bristol. The food, as always, was wonderful. I had the Kate and Sidney with cheesy mash, garden peas and gravy. My daughter had the Free Ranger with the same sides. Service was friendly and polite. We will definitely go back next time we are in Bristol.

The pies we tried were very delicious, the waiter was very attentive and very patient with our questions about the ingredients, thank you. Highly recommended

Pleasant meal with extremely capable and nice guy running the bar, service, and front of house solo. Particularly good at talking through dietary requirements, which was much appreciated.

Delicious food friendly helpful staff, a little expensive for what you get but taste made up for it. Happily go there again.

Great variety of pies. Vegan veggie well catered for. Well priced. Personally the bowl plates and wooden boards make it a bit annoying to cut the pie. A conventional plate would be better IMHO.

I went to Pieminister for my lunch. I was very pleased to see such an imaginative range of festive pies on the menu as well as the standard menu. I was overjoyed that the delicious festive pie that I had (with mash and gravy) came at no extra cost than the year round menu pies. Pieminister once again showed itself to be one of Bristol's top establishments with a welcoming atmosphere, creative and tasty food, good beer and friendly service. All at a price below what you would pay elsewhere. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Pieminister.

Cheap and cheerful if pies are your thing! The slaw was lovely, the pies had crispy and thin pastry but the filling was too mushy and bland. Gravy was better than instant, but why beef gravy with a turkey pie? The vegans in our party enjoyed their options

The food was very nice and made better once the server was reminded of my order and brought the rest of it out. The staff seemed totally indifferent to me having to man handle my wife's mobility scooter up the step into the tight entrance. They also made no attempt to offer help to get out of the restaurant with it.

The Pie was tasty but the sides were not really good and the personnel was not too friendly!

The pies are good, everything else average. Staff fairly disinterested, but not unfriendly, the sort of place where they sweep and mop around your table to let you know they are ready to go home. Portions a bit mean, especially mash potato, gravy tepid (that's happened twice). Classic example of what can happen in poorly managed restaurants where the owner isn't involved. And there's never more than 3 or 4 other people so the atmosphere is not there.

Stopped in here on a whim, server was prompt and polite, service was quick and efficient, food was fantastic. Very well priced. Would definitely recommend.

After having had MANY of their cook at home pies, I finally got myself down to their restaurant and it did not disappoint! The service was quick and super friendly and the food was flavourful and delicious. They have their own amazing spicy ketchup, I also recommend trying the ginger mocktail!

It's all about the pies. Five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. God choice of beer too. Really friendly service. Would def visit again when needing a pie fix.

Arrived at 8.50 to be greeted by a member of staff saying they were not serving in the restaurant they were only doing take aways ???? Why does it not mention this on the website very poor they have lost my custom now …. Such a shame they weren’t even busy

Very frustrating to drive 30 minutes to a place I eat regularly, and be turned away an hour before the place even closes.

I took my girlfriend here for our first date and we both loved it. The pies were nice!

Incredibly rude older guy. Pretty busy so asked for a table for 2, he said anywhere. Sat down and was berated for sitting on a dirty table. Couldn't see any others available. Maybe clean the tables before people sit down? Didn't bother staying after that, and having walked over from the city centre Pieminster due to hour plus waits on food I think I'll give the company a miss from now on.

As a northerner and pie lover, I must say that the pies are lovely, great selection for vegetarians & nice sides. The downside is it costs £12.50 for a small plate of food ie. one pie with a portion of gravy that DOESN'T even cover the full pie, and two miniature sides, (£3.50 per spoonful of a mash / peas). They give you as little as possible. Even the filling in the pie is a little on the slim side. So although the pie is tasty, it's unfortunately not worth the price. If the company considered to lower their price (£10 or less) it would be worth it. Charging anything more than £10 for a microwave pie, spoonful of mash & a handful of peas is extortion.

Maroc Star filo pie was delish! Halloumi chips with chilli jam as a side. Didn't use the gravy as there was no need for it. Mash was instant mash, so not great. Great find, great food!

Our first night in Bristol and we were just wanting something easy and comforting to eat nearby. Absolutely delicious pies; perfectly crisp pastry outer with a delicious filling. I had the Moo pie and my friend had the Moo and blue which she said was perfect balance of beef to blue cheese. The mash was creamy and the gravy just the right consistency. They also do 2 for 1 cocktails which were great. A big shoutout to Serge who was our server for the evening- making us feel incredibly welcome and providing the perfect amount of attentiveness- the perfect host!

A restaurant chain local to Bristol with lots of hearty pies including a fair number of plant based and gluten free options. We had the wild shroom (a creamy mushroom pie) and the tikka to ride (chicken curry). Both were very good though the tikka to ride was a bit dry.

I went to Pieminister for their 'express lunch' deal which I saw advertised. Inside I had excellent and speedy service from Kev. The pie, cheesy mash and gravy were brilliant and prepared fantastically by the chef. I would recommend to any hungry person.

Server was amazing: really friendly, responsive and definitely added to the experience. Pies had good selection, especially for vegetarian/vegan options so left happy :)

The pie was nice, but none of the promised sides arrived. This happened to everyone in the group who ordered the festive feast. When we queried it we were told thats what was on the order. There was a large group of us so didn't want to make a fuss. I paid my bill but it is only since getting home I have realised I was charged £11.90 for a pie a bit of gravy and a diet coke, no veg, no mash, nothing! I assume the extra 1.70 was a service charge? Really disappointed and I won't be back, the pie is not that good and the service certainly wasn't worth it either! Addition in response to the reply: My biggest gripe is that we did point it out to our server but he wasn't interested and just told us that what the order has stated. He made no offer to rectify anything, mistakes happen, I judge on the way the mistake is dealt with or not. Also I posted the review the next day, so it is a bit of a shame that it took 2 months for someone to review it.

Had a lovely time here, very attentive staff. Cocktails were nice and great value at 2 for price of one! The service was so quick too. And of course the food looks, smells and tastes delicious. A favourite place to eat when in Bristol.

Fantastic pies. There was a bald man who was dressed very sharply, who was very sweet to us, didn’t grab his name stupidly but, you know who you are!

Love this place ! Food is delicious and great value for money ! My fries portion was huge and definitely not what you expect for just over £10 ! All the staff members are super lovely and very attentive. Well done to whoever manages the place and the team - so nice to see staff being happy while at work :)

I ate here on my Birthday with my family and had a lovely evening. We were served by Mya who was attentive, polite and exceptionally helpful. All of the food was fantastic.

To be honest, we thought the food here was decent, but not amazing. Perhaps this was partially my fault, as my partner and I were visiting Bristol for the first time and were hoping to have dinner at more of a date night type spot and this place looked like a somewhat nice restaurant by the pictures on google, but in reality felt more like an upscale fast food chain restaurant. The place was mostly full of uni students when we were there, and was playing fairly loud reggae music - again, nothing wrong with the vibe in theory, just not what we were really going for when we imagined a date night. We had two veggie pies, and both were fairly tasty (4/5), but definitely not on par with something similar, like Cornish pasties, etc.

Food lovely as are staff. Ordered the Sunday Best. Gravy portion paltry, gravy boat not half full and it’s £1.50 for extra gravy when it’s an essential part of a Sunday meal. Fill the gravy boat up and stop charging so much for a tiny bit of gravy
