Having had a big breakfast earlier in the day , we spent a lot of time looking for a cafe/bistro for a light lunch. We came across Aragon which had one table left. The waitress was extremely pleasant and welcoming. My wife had Cajun chicken and pesto salad and I had the prawn salad. Both were excellent as were the coffees . All the other customers appeared to be just as happily with their meals and would fully recommend this cafe

Restaurant recommended by a ‘local’. The home-made beef pie was good but not worth the amount paid. It came with some chips and a small pit of peas. More like a £13,00 meal rather than the nearly £17. paid. Service was fine.

We have been visiting Aragon's regularly for the past few years and each time has been nothing short of spectacular, the consistent quality of food and the exceptional service we receive keep us coming back time and again. The customer service, especially from Emily, Charlie, and Imogen, is truly unparalleled. They consistently go above and beyond with impeccable service and welcoming demeanour the personality, enthusiasm, organisation, attentive and efficiency are some of the greatest I have seen in hospitality and truly commendable, The ambiance of Aragon's is perfect for a relaxing meal, stylish and cosy, creating a comfortable atmosphere, Of course the food itself is nothing short of amazing too with a great variety from All day Breakfast to Pizza or Pasta, whether we're indulging in our favourites or trying something new, the flavours and presentation never fail to impress, We highly recommend Aragon's to everyone and we look forward to many more wonderful meals here with special thanks again to Emily, Charlie and Imogen.

Wow, wow, wow! We were visiting Ludlow for the day and wanted some good food. As I have a gluten allergy this is sometimes tricky. As soon as we stepped in, the staff were warm and friendly. There’s a HUGE choice on the menu, including gluten free pasta which is quite uncommon. When I ordered this, I asked if it would come with garlic bread like the regular pasta and the waitress said I could have gluten free garlic bread if I’d like. This is not common! Normally it would just arrive without! Also the pasta was perfectly cooked! The food, both gluten free and non gluten free was delicious. The staff were great and the atmosphere was lovely! Thank you!

Have visited Ludlow a number of times over the last few years, eating in a variety of different places, but somehow Aragon's had escaped me until this visit. Will definitely make it a regular visit now though after experiencing a really lovely lunch. Nice relaxed vibe when walking in, with very welcoming & friendly staff. Eyes were almost immediately popping out at the array of beautiful looking food that was being brought to other tables, including a lovely-looking charcuterie platter. That immediately got mine & my wife's vote to share, along with some mushrooms, black pudding & bacon on herb toast, whilst my daughter went for the chicken burger. All proved to be delicious, aswell as looking so good! Highly recommend!

We visited here on a Saturday lunch time and managed to get a table. It’s worth booking next time. They have a separate small gluten free menu with options of breakfast, salad or pasta dishes. We called in to Aragon's for breakfast on 27.09.2020 before heading home after a lovely weekend in the area and I can't speak highly enough of Henry and his team at this lovely establishment. It has a fresh, clean, on-trend look and feel to the place, their Covid controls are extremely high and there is a real charm to the cafe and the staff.I think we were first in on this occasion so were shown to a table in the window and after a short pause Henry came to take our order and his manner was so charming and exuberant. We went for the all day breakfast, beans on toast and a bacon bagel along with two hot chocolates and a fresh orangeAfter a few minutes enjoying the ambience and company our food arrived on sparkling white plates with each element of our meal nicely arranged, not thrown together as can often be the case, which , to me, shows a real care by the chef even with a humble breakfast and the cooking was spot on. The quantities were just right, not too much to be over-facing but sufficient to start the day well. One stand out too, simple and not really startling but often a failure of cafes is that the hot chocolates were exactly that....hot !! So often in cafes they are tepid or lukewarm which is often a disappointment When our bill came Henry explained that he had reduced the cost of the bacon bagel because it is usually served as egg and bacon but because we had only had bacon he felt we should not pay the full price. This was a really generous gesture made without prompting and came in what must be difficult times for the business given the pandemic. It was a very kind offer but because it was made openly and recognising times are hard we didn't feel we could accept and asked Henry to put the price back up to the correct rate and we tipped him a little too which, I must be honest and say that I don't often tipWe were extremely satisfied with our experience at Aragon's and will definitely be back when next we visit Ludlow and we would highly recommend you visit too, these are hard working, honest folk running a very tidy place with very good quality food and so should be supported

I have been visiting Aragon’s for many years and have always found the food to be excellent and staff friendly and helpful. On the basis of this, I booked for myself and six friends as we were staying nearby. I hoped that it would be as good as I remembered. Five of us ordered the Sunday roast and one a goat’s cheese salad. All the meals without exception were delicious. Like a home cooked roast. Roast potatoes were excellent. The meat tender and tasty, and vegetables were cooked to perfection. We had lots of gravy and we were told to just ask if we wanted any more vegetables or gravy. We didn’t! We had plenty, and everyone congratulated me on my choice of restaurant. We all had a dessert, which also tasted home cooked. I highly recommend Aragon’s and look forward to a return visit. Aragons is a tidy looking place and we entered about 1150am when it was nice and quiet (but filled up 20 minutes later for lunch).Menus bought to us quickly by pleasant staff and quickly found out breakast was served all day long! Just the job. I didnt have tomatos on my breakfast but they offered an alternative which was good to see.It didnt take long for the food to arrive, it was well presented and warm. Quickly poished off. Drinks also served and to a good size/standard/presentation.Bill came when we asked and settled up quickly. All in all a very pleasant stop at a tidy clean restaurant/cafe which was spacious. Obligatory toilet check also done - Not a great standard (seperate male and female) but for an upstairs toilet in a cafe it was sufficient if you needed to go.I'd highly recommend a visit here for breakfast.

Decided to have a coffee at Aragons at 11am. They had a notice in the window that they only served food, but when I asked I was told coffee was OK, and they removed the notice. Obviously they wouldn't want to serve just a drink at peak times. We both had Lattes, which were slightly disappointing being rather weak. The room seemed a little spartan but with a few nice touches including a bicycle wheel clock and a stag's head with a scarf and sunglasses.

Visited Aragons a few years ago so it was nice to see it still giving the same good all round service .The food was good and the prices resonable in what is a tourist area near to the castle but what stood out was the warm welcome ,well done girls !

We booked for dinner as we knew the White Lion had reopened for food with a new chef. We were not disappointed the food was delicious, we had the rib eye steak, the sea bass special and the penne vodka. All were beautifully cooked and served. The service was great and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be eating here again.

The service was friendly and the food absolutely first-rate. Can recommend the Ploughman’s which is loaded with cheese, really top notch ham, and lovely crusty bread. Would have loved to stay for cake but we were all too full.

Have been coming here for over a year and their Panang curry is the best! Portion sizes are generous for price - we always have enough leftover for a good size meal the day following. Staff is friendly too

we always try to come here when we can get in and don’t fancy cooking one ourselves. the meat selection is always good and very generous, their roast potatoes are the best - lovely and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. it is a carvery so can help yourself. they unfortunately don’t have any mash but we just add extra roasties! their gravy is lovely and homemade with the meat juices in. the staff are lovely and attentive. our favourite place to go for sunday lunch!
