This place I would say is basic but it was clean and well run, the bench seats are a bit close to the tables for people like me of the fuller body, but the food was good hot and well turned out, they had a good full menu for first course and some puddings plus cakes, we have not been before but would go again

The greeting by the lady as we walked in was great, the food was cooked and delivered in timely manor, the quality of the food was fantastic, they even let me plug in phone my charger. 3 of us went in for lunch . Sausage and chips . Roast beef dinner . And I had fish chips and peas. Very disappointed, my fish was a shaped piece of what was said to be cod ? Overcooked, chips looked reheated .£9-50. A meal I could do at home for under £2-00. Roast beef dinner swam in gravy , beef was more like boil in the bag . Sausages and chips typical cheap manufactured . And chips seemed reheated .

On a day trip from Swansea and fancied a roast dinner, something difficult to find in Shrewsbury. After seeing a good choice on the menu and seeing the 5 hygiene rating. I popped in for a turkey dinner. Very clean place, charming staff and generally a nice good value dinner but I question the turkey, or whatever it was. Tasted very strange and I have doubts as to what it was. Time will tell if I go down with something?!?

Myself and partner called for a breakfast after catching the train on the heart of Wales line in Swansea. With the breakfast, we had a choice of tomato or beans. My partner doesn't like eggs, so she asked if she could have a portion of mushrooms instead. When we received the bill, an extra 95p had been added to the bill. We thought that if my partner didn't have an egg, then the mushrooms could have been given free of charge. The breakfast was tasty, but we felt disappointed with how we were charged for the portion of mushrooms. At the counter, we mentioned this, and the extra cost was deducted.

I normally have nothing to do with Xmas until after 1st Dec. but I made an exception due to the value of the Xmas Lunch available here. I'd have awarded 5 stars if the turkey had been 'on the bone'; aside from that the food was good and plentiful. There's a lovely atmosphere in this cafe and Bristol Rovers also gave me an early Xmas gift by beating Shrewsbury Town 4-3 later that afternoon!

Popped in for their vegetarian breakfast, for the price it was tasty however I'd have like to see a meat substitute such as a quorn sausage or brown bread options. I sat a booth away from the till and the smell of ammonia was extremely off putting not sure if it was from the toilets but it wasn't too pleasant. Would definitely recommend but maybe sit next to the door.

My partner and I went in whilst on a day out in Shrewsbury. We wanted a light bite and both ordered cheese and ham omelette. We were served very quickly and asked twice for our order within only 2 minutes of sitting down, when asked for an extra minute, we were quite literally asked a minute later. Very rushed!! The food came really quickly and was reminiscent of the type of food you would get in a typical 'greasy spoon' cafe! The style of cafe was nice in a 50s kind of theme!!The order came out within 10 minutes and tasted really nice. There was plenty of ham in it and enough cheese without being sickly.Cost wise the food was really reasonable although £1.90 for a can of diet coke and £1.55 for a bottle of water is a bit of a joke.. Would pay the same price for that in a 5* hotel!!!Overall, nice and reasonable food, overpriced drinks. Eager staff!

I had heard about this cafe from a friend so as myself and partner were in Shrewsbury thought we'd give it a go . It looked very popular as we entered and was clean and tidy . Nice unpretentious menu and what I call a proper cafe menu which is a rarity in this day and age . We both had a mug of tea .. great . And we both opted for a cheese omelette 1 with chips and 1 with side salad . Perfect omelettes with plenty of cheese and just the right amount of chips and side salad . It was scummy . We will be back again as we were really pleased with the service the food and the atmosphere.

Visited as were tempted by the special offer board for the fish and chips. What a disappointment. The fish was an awful grey colour, the chips were okay and the peas like bullets. Obviously all come from the freezer! The drinks also overpriced. £1.60 for a small glass of orange squash. The staff looked as though they couldn't be bothered as it was late afternoon, they obviously wanted to go home. Once bitten twice shy I'm afraid.

I stopped for lunch with my 2 daughters and my eldest had the large fish fingers which in all honesty given the 2 minutes it took to arrive can't have been cooked properly and the grey mush inside the batter was enough to put anybody off. She ate about a quarter of it and couldn't eat anymore. I had sausage egg and chips and the chips had obviously been reheated and we're just the little bits out of the bottom of the pan. My daughter was ill that night and I believe it was from eating here although obviously can't prove it. Staff could have been friendlier too. Won't be going back anytime soon.

The food was very good and well presented. It gave off the look of a diner: red seats, red flowers, red menus. I was quite surprised at how little time the food took to arrive, especially because of the generous portions. The prices were great too. The toilets were very cold.
