The best restaurants serving British food in England

Cracking boozer with good ales and great atmosphere. Didn't eat but my mates did and no issues. Plenty of tvs for sport and homely feel. Also get a little loyalty card for a discount.

Service was really attentive and polite, Food was delicious and fast to arrive. Wanted something slightly different to the menu and was no problem at all, really good value for money food was delicious and inexpensive ! Never been before but would 100% recomend little hidden gem!

Service was 100% but the food was not. A chicken and Mushroom madras was served with little or no mushrooms in it and very few pieces of chicken. The sauce still had Ghee around the outside of it and Chapatis were served in a plastic bag!! As they were warm, the bag retained all the moisture and made them damp! Another person's portion of rice wouldn't have covered a saucer it was so small. Flavours were okay but just not 100% right Maybe it was just an 'off night' for the chef and I certainly wouldn't base any judgements on just this one review but I have to say it as it was. It may to totally different for you.

This is a fantastically run amazing fish and chip establishment . J & Kim are so hospitable and go above and beyond to accommodate. I turned up at 8:10pm and they rightly had closed but very kindly took my order. I will make sure I am on time next time. As a southern softie this gave me a constant reminder of why this east end boy moved up north. This is a gem not to me missed. Bravo. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🥰

Lovely Sunday lunch, piping hot, everything fresh , I had a large dinner my friend a normal, sitting by an open fire ,bliss !

A great friendly pub and fine choice of beers. Good outside seating and a play area for children.
