Light flaky crust, flavorful fillings that ranged from the traditional beef to the more exotic like blue cheese and chicken, and your choice of regular or large sizes. Yum!

Although we were based in St Ives, the reason we five Americans visited Cornwall was because of our love of the Doc Martin series. After watching and waiting for another glorious season of our favorite program, we fell in love with the coastal scenery, vistas, architecture, and characters which the show depicted. May I say that it was even better than any of us had hoped for. Though we missed the tour hour, Wes, who is the delightful proprietor of "May Contain", arranged a tour with none other than Dave Morgan, an actor on that show (and several others which we were familiar with), who gave us a wonderful first hand look at our beloved "Port Wenn". We left filled with yummy pasties and lovely souvenirs, with promises to return.

We had pre booked a 'Doc Martin walking tour's but due to lack of parking spaces we were late and missed our time. The meeting point was a bakery called 'May contain nuts' and on an off chance we asked the very busy behind the counter if she had any idea where we might catch up with it. She suggested a couple of places but we couldn't find them so returned to buy a map in order to walk around ourselves. While we were deciding which way to go she came running down the street having managed to contact the tour guide by phone and pointed out Doc Martin's house across the harbour. The group waited for us and we joined them for the rest of the tour which was interesting, particularly as our guide had been a member of cast and one of only a few people who live in Port Isaac (most of the houses are now holiday homes). A very pretty sea port and worth a trip even if you're not a Doc Martin fan. Make sure you buy a take away cream tea for two from 'May contain nuts', lovely fresh scones, clotted cream and jam.....we enjoyed ours back at our hotel and I wished I'd bought two!!!

Very welcoming, Great ice cream flavours. Especially the Ferrero Roche and Millionaires shortbread. Lady went above and beyond for our dog letting her sit in the shade on a 25 degree day to enjoy her pup cup. Thank you!

Visiting Port Issac to buy lobsters. Decided to have a light lunch at the Mote. Lovely welcome, sat down stairs. My wife had the leek & courgette soup & i had the crab & cheese melt. All the food was very tasty & well presented. Very enjoyable lunch.

the only place open on a Sunday on St Martins! So glad it was open, it was absolutely heaving but we got there in time to get seats and what was left of the cakes and drinks.
