Me and my partner visit Newquay quite often and we love the burgers from here! The staff are extremely friendly and don’t for get the cocktails 😍 fairly priced and taste fantastic. We will definitely be going again! Make sure you try it out a meal at the smoke n flames burger house!!!

Brilliant food tastes as good as it looks! First time we visited and my family (group of 12) really enjoyed it. Something for everyone. Family run business and really friendly. I would advise contacting the restaurant by email or phone for group bookings, if google shows they are closed, as they are happy to accommodate. Really was THE BEST burgers we had tasted around newquay and awesome milkshakes! And Yes, i can now say I terminated the terminator ;)

After looking at great reviews before we went, we were not disappointed. On entering a small wooden panelled hallway we were shown to our cubicle. The waitress came immediately to take our drink order and shortly for our meal. We both ordered the 12oz pulled pork burger and chips. Absolutely fantastic. ( Photo does not do it justice.) It was so filling that my wife didn't order a sweet!! I had a bucket of beer for my sweet. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a burger in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

This burger bar is is absolutely incredible the food is unbeatable in my eyes . From reading the reviews below it seems like these people have not eaten here and want to be vindictive. There are staffing issues all over the country right now and I can understand that businesses have been suffering . We need to be more understanding instead of trying to tear others down . If you want a tasty meal with nice big portions you should definitely try this place .

So generally the food was nice, qwite exspencive for what it is I must say what would fine if it was served to you on a plate and with a metal knife and fork instead of plastic. I would deffantly recommend it but I do think as a restuant/American diner there defo a lot more protenshal for it to be better

I had the 'Mexican' 6oz Burger and it was amazing. This place is the Best Burger Bar in Newquay. Well worth a visit.

As hungry tourists after aong day of sight seeing we were looking forward to enjoying a lovely dinner at smoke n flames. Their times on Instagram and website said 5pm, and the booking system didn't work and the number didn't work either, so we decided to make our way there. When we arrived the sign on front door said 5.30pm. Since it was only 30mins we decided to wait outside. After a 30mins wait a lady showed up and we asked her if we could get seated, she told us they only open at 6pm and that they are fully booked inside and when we explained that the times are not updated on Instagram and that their system isn't working she told us that they haven't updated their things and we should have known. We aren't from the area, so not sure how we would have known plus she didn't offer an apology for them not updating their times/contacts and didn't offer to seat us outside where she said there were free slots. We left very disappointed and hungry and settled for pizza express down the road. Hope this review helps someone as their response below isn't apologetic and they don't seem to think providing inaccurate information and not having a booking system that works is a shortfall on their part.

Food was great, however served with plastic cutlery and served in a plastic basket which made it difficult to eat.

This is by far the best burger restaurant I have ever been to. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is always freshly prepared, tasty and plentiful. We will be eating there many more times.

We visited as a couple with our 1 year old. The lady was very friendly and the covid safety measures were really good there was hand sanitiser as you walk, a one way system in place and track and trace. We booked in advance to avoid disappointment as it is quite a small place. The burgers taste amazing and you get a choice of how big you want the burger which is great. Lots to choose from. We will be back when we return to newquay thank you!

It was a fabulous tasty burger, we went here when it was the government 50% off but needs alot of work doing inside and I would only come here if you want just food quick not a posh restaurant experience.

We eat here every couple of months or so and honestly this place just gets better. Very covid safe at the moment but also one of the few places that haven't skimped on their portions or jacked the prices sky high since the pandemic. Absolutely gorgeous burgers, so tasty and juicy and huge portion of fries. Highly recommend!

We arrived in newquay on the 21st and had tried a few places around the town to eat, nice food but when we had a meal at smoke n flames we were so pleased by the service, the staff and friendly welcome, the atmosphere, the guidelines being followed and the food itself was phenomenal. Generous portion size, tasty food and all round a value for money, we will definitely visit again!

We were lucky to book a table for dinner on Saturday evening after arriving in Newquay. Upon arrival the staff greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. The restaurant has a great feel to it inside and is packed with character. There is a good choice available on the menu which made it difficult to choose. We opted for a 12oz Mexican burger a 6oz Pulled pork burger with a medium portion of fries each. The burgers were amazing, really juicy and packed full of flavour, probably the best burgers we've ever had. The portions of fries could definitely be called generous and also tasted great. We both really enjoyed our meal at Smoke N Flames and highly recommended it if you like a good burger. Hopefully we'll be back soon. Unfortunately we have no photos of our food because it looked so good we couldn't wait to start eating it.

Absolutely Amazing! We booked in for last night and was pleasantly surprised! We loved it here! We both had the dirty hotdogs which were covered in pulled pork cheese and onions. Portion size is huge for the price you pay, absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend!

This is not a luxury eat however the food is great and cheap! Would recommend if you want something quick and tasty. Good for vegetarians as well.

Went with 2 teenagers whilst on holiday whom I would consider burger experts. Burgers were superb son said best burger he had ever had and thats a lot of burgers. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Atmosphere and sevice was both relaxed and pleasant.

this is our second visit to Smoke N Flames. obviously due to restrictions menu wasn't the same as the last time . Partner was looking forward to their Ribs but all in all we were impressed with what we ordered. My other half and myself don’t get away often but managed to get some time away in Cornwall and whilst walking through Newquay to find somewhere to have some food we came across this place and we weren’t disappointed.Probably the best burger I have ever had in my entire life and I am picky with my pulled pork but again this was the best I have ever tasted!!!Great value for money and great staff we will be back in here the next time we are down this way for certain

Great cozy bar and restaurant, with a perfect central spot, amazing pricing, service and atmosphere, had us dancing whilst eating! Would definitely recommend!!!

We visited for the first time last night and had a great time. Its a small restaurant but there's a one way system in and out and there are wooden barriers between each dining booth giving you privacy and lending its self to the American theme. The staff were lovely and the food was great too. My son said his hotdog was the best he ever had and couldn't stop raving about it and the burgers were delicious! They also do icecream sundaes, waffles and milkshakes...i had an oreo one which was delightful!Its not a posh restaurant but the atmosphere is relaxed, the food is great and I was so pleased I chose to book a table here last night, since we tried to book again and it was fully booked! We all loved it.

We booked here after reading reviews and seeing posts on their Facebook page. My burger was not hot all the way through although the taste was lovely. My ice cream sundae was very disappointing old cheap icecream with a few crunchie rocks thrown in, some sauce and cream on top. The icecream had an awful texture. Service was OK nothing special. Wouldn't return again.

I came with my boyfriends and we both love burgers so wanted to give this restaurant a try and it did not disappoint. The burgers were amazing and super yummy definitely filled us up. The staff were so polite and helpful, looked after us well and always was around to take our drinks order when we needed a top up. Would highly recommend!!

Myself and my family saw great things about this place on facebook, we went and it was amazing! The food was unreal, it was hot, tasted amazing and had such good flavour! The staff were so friendly and made sure that everything was perfect! I was shocked when I came on here and saw some of the negative reviews. My experience was nothing like they have said and I cant believe that it is a true review. This is a family run busines and you can tell they put their heart and soul into making your experience perfect! I cant wait to return!

We booked restaurant based on the high quality reviews on Trip Advisor.Booked for 7.30 and specified outside due to guidelines.Arrived 20 mins early, two empty tables outside but none showing "Reserved" on enquiry told take anyone.Must say here that the outside space is 4 adjacent tables, none had been taken out of use.This meant you were literally inches from other customers, not happy about it ,but no chance of anywhere elseat short notice.Placed orders for drinks and food.Drinks came followed a few minutes later by food.In past years we were great fans of Banks Burgers, you ordered specified how you wanted your burger cooked and it would appear 20 to 30 mins later freshly cooked.It would be impossible to fresh cook a Burger in the time we experiencedMy guess is they are assembled from ready cooked from off the hot plate.As someone else previously mentioned there was no discernible smell of cooking.Burger meat and cheese no real flavour, better bet Aldi Welsh Steak Burger.Thank goodness we payed half priceAt full price would have been a Travesty

I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for a while now and was not disappointed. I had the Smokehouse with bacon and cheese- perfect amount of bacon and oh so cheesy! The burger was cooked to perfection. My friend had the Californian Vegi, which she also enjoyed every last bite! We ordered the small fries and the portion sizes are very generous. Very tasty fries too. Staff were amazing. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends and family.

We visited here whilst on holiday in Newquay. The staff were very pleasant and worked very hard. You could see they were under pressure due to current restrictions, but worked tirelessly to make our experience a great one. The food was sooo good, one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Dessert is also delicious!

We booked a table at this restaurant by phone.When we arrived they denied all knowledge of the booking. As there are restrictions in place due to COVID-19 at the moment, hardly anywhere in Newquay had any tables, which is why I had called to book.I checked with them that I had called the correct number, I had. I was told that I couldn’t have called in the afternoon as no-one was there. My phone proved otherwise. We had 2 hungry little boys with us who were looking forward to hot dogs. We were made to feel like we were making it up! I have checked my phone again and can see that I spoke to them for one minute at 15:59.The lady who came outside to speak to us said that it’s a family run business so it would have been her or her daughters who answered the call, it wasn’t her, but she will check if it was one of them! I can’t comment on the food, as unfortunately we were turned away!

We booked a table here through the Facebook page, and didn't expect much but we were so surprised!! We both had a cheeseburger and REGULAR fries and couldn't believe the portion sizes, the burger was amazing and the chips were too. The staff were lovely, and even though it's small they still had it set out for distancing and the whole place was spotless. Whilst waiting for our food we overheard the couple at the booth behind us talking about how amazing their hot dogs were aswell, so next time we'd definitely try them! We would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Newquay and can't wait to return

We visited this place last night after seeing all the great reviews hoping it would be a nice bday treat for myself. My partner mentioned how you could not smell any food cooking but I assumed they must just have good ventilation.When the food arrived it was just warm like the food had already been pre made and then just re warmed and the burger was not seasoned and tasted like old fat. We would not return here.

We've been meaning to try this place for a while, now that we've been, I can't wait to go again. I had a blue cheese and mushroom burger, it was superb. My wife had the brie j burger. She really enjoyed it and doesn't usually like burgers. Prices are reasonable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. well what can you say. they moved tables to accommodate us. they were so friendly, and did we know about the size portions hell no!!! huge, gigantic, EPIC. we're still talking about it now, highly recommended. wear loose fitting clothes. you've been warned

We ordered food for a family of 4 and when it came it could have easily fed 6 or 8 people. We had a starter of the best nachos we have ever eaten...ruined us for the main course though! The burgers were really tasty and my daughter loved trying the tacos (they were a starter and even a starter was way to big for her to finish!)Just two bad bits. The cokes came in multipack cans which is a bit annoying when you’re paying over £2 for them. Also the girls serving spent a lot of time on their phones (to be fair it was rather quiet and there were only 2 other tables of people the whole time we were there) so it makes you feel like you’re in the way a little bit.Overall though, we would return if we ever went back to Cornwall.

Been before and it was excellent. Chef even made an onion and garlic free burger from fresh for one of our party who has an allergy.Brie n bear burger was perfect. Nachos perfect ribs perfect. Dipping sauces the best ever.Will come again when we have worked off the calories. Thank you.

Came last night 2 kids 2 adults always nervous when recommending somewhere to eat when you keep rambling on about how amazing the burgers are.That was the best burger I have ever eaten the Hawaiian burger a flavour master piece omg someone must have a PhD in burger flavour matching. My friend had bacon beast never seen him so excited if he had a tail it would of been wagging. Went in with the family for some dinner and my god was I impressed. Huge portions make it all great value and are a challenge to finish! Staff absolutely lovely looked after us all and provided great service. Overall would say they have the best burgers in town without a doubt, huge stacked with toppings and sooo juicy. Would recommend to anyone especially if you like eating as much as I do! Only complaint I have is your not open enough! I need smoke and flames every other day haha

I found this place on Tripadvisor while searching for things to do while in Newquay. So we arrived on Saturday afternoon and was staying at The Victoria which turned out to be directly opposite Smoke N Flames which was great. It was my husbands 40th birthday on the Monday so I had planned to take him there anyway on Monday the restaurant didn't open so I had a very disappointed husband as he was looking forward to going. We checked on Tuesday, still wasn't open, so my husband messaged them on Facebook and found out when they were open, we ended up eating there on Friday (17th May) and it was definitely worth the wait. Excellent food (best burger I've had in a long time), friendly service. Will definitely be back next time we're visiting Newquay.

Myself and my partner visited here over the weekend. The food was absolutely delicious we couldn't believe we had stumbled across it. The staff were so friendly and attentive really laid back but made sure we had what we needed and our drinks were topped up.The atmosphere is laid back inside with some good background music. We had the belly pork, a burger,hot dog,and fries all in which were superb we sat there happy as pigs in muck as we had been walking all day and were starving.I couldn't fault any of it, when we ate there the place was quiet and when we went to pay we queried why it wasn't busier at it was such a great place, they explained sometimes people are a bit unsure of whether to come in when its a quieter night so some advice for you all go in!!! you wont be dissapointed. Its one of those meals that i will think about now everytime im hungry as we weren't local we were on holiday so i will have to pine after it and hope we come back again soon! Thank you

Came here on Saturday and had the BBQ ribs, which were served with a huge potions of fries and a delicious fresh salad. The amount of food on my plate was amazing for the price! The ribs were freshly cooked and served in a lovely homemade BBQ sauce! I would highly recommend Smoke N Flames!

We visited here for a Mother's Day lunch and we ordered from the Mother's Day menu. All of the food was very nice,and good sized portions and we also had bottomless soft drinks. Between us, we had a beef burger, a chicken burger and a giant hot dog. There were larger portions available for those with a bigger appetite but for us, the regular size was plenty. The decor is of a very contemporary style with an overall feel of an American smokehouse. Staff are all very friendly and we'd definitely return. If you like meat (and lots of it), this place is for you!

In Newquay on holiday with my girlfriend and we visited "smoke n flames" and was seated in a nice booth. The customer service was great from all the staff. Very polite and friendly. I ordered the bacon breast with fries and my partner ordered the veggie burger. The bacon beast burger was amazing, chips were good and the veggie was really nice. Couple days later we ordered a takeaway and all the food was delicious like before. The portions are large, good quality and value. Definitely worth visiting if your nearby
